I heard about this sandwich shop, so I wanted to check it out. Parking is a nightmare, though; it was packed even on a weekday. The sandwich is really good and super crunchy. I like that it comes in a plastic container instead of just wrapped paper, so it doesn't get crushed. The flavors are great and the portions are huge for $8 dollars a sandwich. I mean, it better be huge for that price, right? I tried the pork belly and the house special. Ordering online through DoorDash was easy and my pickup was ready when I got there. The sandwiches were massive, and they were happy to cut them in half for me. The service was good and the place is pretty spacious. Highly recommend.
Had high hopes for this spot since they had a lot of people make videos on trying their sandwiches. Sadly it is not that good. I got the dac biet and it was very disappointing. No jalapeno for it. The pate tasted off like it was spoiled and the mayo was way too much and overpowering so it made the sandwich tasted like butter. For the price, I expected it to be a lot better. The only thing good about the sandwich was its bread.
If coming on the weekends, be ready to wait for upwards of 45 minutes for your banh mi. Parking is super difficult to find. You'll have to park at another plaza and walk yourself in. There's only a few choices of different types of proteins and my son ordered the crispy pork, but they ran out so, if you want that you need to come super early. Very limited indoor seating with no air-conditioning for their ambience.
King Banh Mi is definitely one of the hyped banh mi spots around town! I stopped by to pick up lunch for my family, and this place was BUSY over the weekend. The shop itself is pretty big inside, and even though the line was long, it moved surprisingly fast. Almost like In-N-Out. Parking is pretty easy to find, but the lot can definitely fill up when it gets busy. Pro tip: Order ahead through DoorDash if you don't want to wait! What I got: Heo Quay (Pork Belly) - 7.5/10 Bomb! The pork belly was seasoned really well, and it comes with a sauce that blends everything together nicely. I just wish the bread was a little crispier. Also, ask for the veggies on the side so the sandwich doesn't get soggy. They package everything individually, which is great if you're bringing it home. Rib-Eye Beef - 9/10 My favorite out of everything we tried. The seasoning was on point, and I thought this was easily the best-seasoned meat of the bunch. Definitely the one I'd order again! House Special - 6/10 I know they're known for loading this one up with butter and pâté, but it was honestly a little too much for me. If you're not a huge butter/pâté person, watch out because they are VERY generous with it. Grilled Pork 7/10 Another classic! It was yummy and had good flavor, but I think I've had better grilled pork banh mi at some other spots. Overall, King Banh Mi is a great spot with pretty average pricing for banh mi these days. The rib-eye beef was easily the standout for me. I'd come back for that one and give some of the other sandwiches a try!
Wanted to try the viral King Banh Mi. I got the special dac biet, ribeye, and thit nuong. I wanted the crispy pork belly (heo quay) but they ran out. The special was pretty good, ALOTTT OF pate, loaded with meat. The sandwich is pretty big. The ribeye was good but nothing crazy. I did not like the thit nuong, it was super fatty. Service was pretty quick and it was super spacey inside.
The banh mi is 5 out of 5. They use Thai chilies, so good!! All the veggies fresh and crispy. The rib eye cut into perfect pieces. Their dac biet banh mi definitely one of the best around the area. IDK why they're not rated higher. They are like two dollars more per sandwich than the cheapest banh mi spots in the area but their sandwiches are much larger and absolutely loaded. There must be a good half pound of meat in each sandwich. It is well worth the premium and they're not even the highest priced in the area. I almost want to gatekeep this spot to keep the prices the same. I got the Dac Biet and the Heo Quay. Dac Biet: If you're looking for a spot that is generous with the pate and mayo, this is the spot. They don't skimp on those or any of the other meats. Guaranteed to fill you up. Heo Quay: This one is the winner for me. Also packed full of delicious and tender pork with perfectly crispy skin. Carrot & Daikon doesn't even come close to the taste and quantity of crispy pork. If you ever had Hoa Phat (which I consider to be the absolute best Heo Quay banh mi) in the SGV, this one is on par with that. 100% would come back to King Banh Mi just for the Heo Quay. They also offer freshly squeezed sugar cane drink to order. Service was great and quick!
I've seen this place on social and was curious until my friend Christine told me this is her favorite banh mi spot currently. So yes , it was delicious. I wouls say the bread is the star here. Think brioche with a crunchier top. I got the dac biet special (will try the pork belly and roast pork next time) and I asked for everything inside. It was spicy, creamy, and the best part? Their veggies were fresh and herbaceous. I would say like a previous yelper that the mayo ratio is a bit heavy. Was also weird I didn't get exact change back. But either way I will be back. There was no line when I had gone during weekday afternoon. Small parking lot in plaza.

Turn left onto Moran St, then U-turn, but beware: the little turn-in for this shop's parking lot is tight. A car exiting here may take up both lanes, so you'll have to wait for the light going north on Moran St onto Bolsa Ave to turn green for all the cars waiting on Moran St's red light first, then the car that was taking both lanes can go, then finally you can enter the parking lot through that bottleneck entrance. xP + Affordable. + Efficient, helpful service. We had: $8 Heo Quay + tax = $8.74

Bomb banh mi!!! The dac biet comes with tons of pate and mayo, lots of meat, eat half and i was good. The ribeye banh mi and bbq pork banh and banh mi heo quay are also really good. Overall I like all the banh mi here.
Once again, I'm kicking myself for not knowing about this place sooner. I wish I could gatekeep, but alas, I need them to stay open forever. If you're Vietnamese or have visited Vietnam, you may have heard of Bánh Mì Huynh Hoa, known for their very generously portioned meat-to-bread bánh mì and one of the best pâté + mayo combos around. IMO, it's one of the best bánh mì I've ever had. I actually found this place because someone posted their bánh mì đặc biệt, which looked nearly identical to Huynh Hoa's. I honestly haven't found a spot in the States that comes this close to the bánh mì I've had in Vietnam let alone one that's almost identical to Huynh Hoa. From the crispy-but-light bread to the pork floss and that perfectly generous layer of pâté and mayo, they really nailed it. I've only done takeout, so this review is solely for their bánh mì. I had the bánh mì đặc biệt and bánh mì heo quay and both were incredible. Compared to some of the more popular spots like Pickle, Carrot & Daikon, THH, or Bánh Mì Che Cali, these were on another level for me. The heo quay was solid, with a very generous amount of pork, but the đặc biệt is the real star. Easily one of my favorite finds of 2026. I'll be back to try the entire menu. And for those saying they're pricey; I honestly think the quality and portions are well worth it. If anything, I think they're undercharging because they really don't skimp on the fillings like some other places do. You're getting a seriously generous bánh mì and I'd gladly pay for the quality and portion. Tip: you can call them to place a takeout order!

Parking can be a nightmare and the wait could be crazy on a Saturday. Waited about 45 mins, line was out the door! The pork belly alone deserves 5 stars! The bread was buttery and soft, pork belly was crispy, and they stuff the banh mi! I also love the sauce that comes with it, like a sweet soy sauce. So worth it for $9! The Dac Biet wasn't the best. The meat quality and quantity was lacking. The one at Carrot and Daikon I feel is the best, they stack it with various and meats and it tastes fresh! However it was Lac(king) here. I did like the pate and butter spread. Even though the Dac Biet wasn't the best, I'll be back for the pork belly! read more

We stopped by late and originally wanted the house special or crispy pork belly bánh mì, but both were sold out, so we ordered the ribeye bánh mì instead. There was no line when we ordered, yet it took about 40 minutes to get one sandwich. Unfortunately, the sandwich was disappointing. The meat was very chewy and didn't taste like the ribeye I expected; it reminded me more of eye of round. After just a few bites, the bread started falling apart. Between the long wait and the quality of the sandwich, I wouldn't order this one again. read more

This place deserves a 5 star review!!! First time here and I ordered the original Dac Biet and Crispy Pork. Both were absolutely amazing! The pate and pork floss in that Dac Biet was fire! It was savory and didn't have that gamey taste you get at Lee's. It was perfectly balanced! Also, the crispy pork was so juicy! What made it for me was the bread!!! That bread was so crunchy, airy and flaky. Those sandwiches did not disappoint!! I want to go back and get more! Order veggies on the side if you don't want to eat it right away. The fresh veggies and pickled carrot/daikon with the bird eye peppers aka Thai chili peppers were legit so good! The service was amazing. They take cash and credit! It is a spacious restaurant with tables and seats. I would come here again and again! read more
Tried this spot for the first time and it's now one of my fav banh mi spots in OC! The banh mi is STUFFED and comes with a lot of mayo and pate, so I do think it's worth what you're paying for. I got the dac biet and loved how the pork floss gave it a hint of sweetness. I came on a weekday and there was a bit of a wait, so be prepared for that. Oh my! I've had too many Banh Mi all ove the country but I will say this as I stand on it. King Banh Mi tastes like it's the next biggest thing coming out of Westminster. I had to go two days in a row. The first day they were out of the Crispy Pork so I settled (So I thought) for the House Special. That was Thursday. On Friday I was there at 9 am because I had to get the Crispy Pork. It did not disappoint but honestly the House Special had so much and so many flavors going on it will be hard to forget. The Sandwiches are huge and jam packed with fresh Vegetables and succulent meats. Im ok with spice but the peppers are a bit much for me so I ordered the Crispy Pork without Peppers. It was perfect. The Bread is more Artisan style bread than just a Baguette. It's actually Phenomenal. I'm not sure why they don't allow you to buy the Bread like other ships do. No matter what it my new number one spot. I also learned that I was right, they are planning on opening several new locations including Vegas. Y'allhollatchaboy! read more
Was previously a banh bao spot that wasn't that good. Now it's a banh mi spot and it's the best!! Finally there is a banh mi spot that overfilled with their toppings which is what I love. The crispy pork hands down one of the best crispy pork in town, meat ratio was perfect and flavorful. The grilled pork was pretty decent too and the house special was great. Overfilled with toppings and the bread texture was spot on. Good pricing for the size of the bread. The only downside here is the wait time, we waiting like 40 mins for the banh mi and the line wasn't that bad. I'm thinking more of unorganized staffing so hopefully they'll get better later. 10-15 mins wait would be more reasonable. Def my go to banh mi spot at the moment. read more
I really liked their pork belly banh mi; the bread is really crispy, the thickly cut pork belly is slathered in a sticky delicious, sweet sauce, and it's a decent size. It was a bit difficult for me to eat since I have braces, but it was very well worth it! The meat to bread ratio is amazing; big pieces of pork belly in every bite. Service is quick and efficient. A few tables inside the store to enjoy your food right away. Store is very clean. Parking is not too bad, as people are quickly coming and going. I went to King Banh Mi specifically for the ribeye Banh Mi which was recommended by a friend (she's Vietnamese). I have to say, it was the best Banh Mi I've had in a long time. The ribeye was flavorful and tender. They put the vegetables on the side which makes sense so it doesn't get soggy in the sandwich. I will definitely be back. read more
if you've been to vietnam (specifically saigon) and enjoyed banh mi huynh hoa, this place is very reminiscent of it! i can't speak on the wait times or service because someone picked it up for me. but i toasted it up a few hours after it was bought and it heated up well. i got the dac biet. this sandwich is loaded with meat. if you like pate and vietnamese mayo, you'll enjoy this banh mi. read more
Alrighty... let's start with the good The place is spacious, bright, and new. The "bánh mì", which literally mean bread, are packaged in clear plastic container, displaying a very appetizing sandwich. Ordering was a breeze as the menu laid out in simple easy to order format. This is a counter order type of service, and they were efficient. Now the bad, or let's just say not so excellent... Management will need to have the service staff clean up the tables where guests dine. Even though this is a counter service place, if they set out tables and chairs for patrons, then they should keep them tidy, with the floor properly swept. The restroom needs to be kept clean... as that really reflects on how well the restaurant is maintained. The soap dispenser was empty, which leads you to think how do the staff keep their hands clean? And as for the food, although it is nicely packaged, I find the baguette lacking in flavor. Comparing to other Viet sandwich shops nearby, the taste is below par, sad to say. As for the crispy pork, it has a nice crunch, but the flavor is also average. Overall, it's a decent sandwich shop, with average price, and average taste. No wow factor for me. read more

I was recommended this banh mi shop from family, and it was quite delicious. The sandwich size itself lives up to the shop's name, a giant banh mi fit for a King. The loaf of bread was quite large, and it was equally stuffed with meat generously. Compared to other shops the sandwich did not skimp out on the protein side. I got the ribeye beef banh mi, which also included cilantro, pate, mayo, chopped red peppers. Appreciate how the shop actually drizzles the mayo with the meat compared to most prepared sandwiches that just lather spread onto the bread instead. It also included some lettuce and tomato slices, which I did not expect so it was quite interesting. However it did not have much, if any, pickled carrot and daikon which is something I would have expected. The portion is more than enough for the average person. The expected flavor was a bit different from what I expected for the sandwich, compared to other shops. The shop itself is quite large and simple and modernized. I would say there is not much seating despite the large space the shop has, so it would not be very suitable for dine in for large parties. But generally most people will order sandwiches to go anyways, so seating should not really be much of an issue. read more

I am a banh mi lover no exaggeration. In the landscape of competitive banh mi. This place decides to stand out not with flavor, but the eating experience and minor tweaks. For starter and I personally think this is genius. The construction goes as follows Bread, Meat, Pate, Mayo , pork floss, Green onion, Veggies, and Red sliced chillis. Arguable the best part of this sandwich is the pate and mayo. So instead of spreading it on the bread where the flavor is absorbed by the bread, they put it in the middle where you can really taste those flavors. In addition adding pork sung and green adds more dept of flavor. One caveat is that the parking is horrendous, very competitive, and it is in the heart of Little Saigon. read more
King Banh Mi definitely surprised us!! We tried their special banh mi and they were SO generous with the pâté - every bite was rich, flavorful, and packed with filling. The bread was toasted fresh so it stayed crispy on the outside while still soft inside~ The crispy pork banh mi was my favorite with the perfect crunch, while the ribeye steak banh mi was super savory and satisfying. I also loved how fresh all the veggies and herbs tasted, it really balanced everything out nicely. And of course, the sugarcane drink on the side made the combo even better. They had a variety of banh mi sandwiches to choose from. There are several tables to eat at or wait inside. Most people tend to order to go. It is very spacious indoors. read more

Crispy pork Banh Mi was beyond delicious. You pay a bit more but the quality ingredients and amount of crispy pork (see photo) was generous. The Banh mi (bread) was fresh. Worth the extra money. read more
I was recommended this spot by several friends and it did not disappoint! Decent sized parking lot and huge interior for a banh mi shop. Oddly for its large storefront, there is only about 4 tables inside for dining. This place is known for their crispy pork heo quay banh mi so that's what I got! Pork was perfectly cooked with crispy edges and tender meat. I especially loved the light crisp of the bread. The extra sauce provided for dipping was a nice addition to the banh mi as well. Service at the counter was quick and efficient. We forgot our bag there and when we called back, the staff had collected our belongings and stored it safely at the front for us. Bread is not crunchy nor chewy, no smell of butter and plain. Taste like reheated frozen bread. A lot of meat but lacks umami flavor, overpowering with sweet mayo. Pate looks like a lot but water down to liquidy texture. read more

Nothing special. Not worth the wait. And parking was limited. I ordered a crispy pork belly sandwich that had lots of fat, and a grilled chicken sandwich that the chicken was bland unless you pour in the fish sauce which my husband doesn't eat. Well.. had it. Next! read more

Really nice staff! Even though it was a quick interaction I felt very welcomed! The space itself is quite large, however there are only about 4 tables so there is not much space to sit if you wanted to eat there. Love that they offer a buy 2 get 1 and that you can mix and match for this deal. With the promo the sandwiches are worth it but at their full price of $9 that is a bit steep compared to other shops. I ordered a crispy pork and a grilled pork. Both sandwiches were extremely light of vegetables which is something I really look forward to, additionally there were no pickled veg which is a flavor you come to expect with a banh mi. The crispy pork was my preferred between the 2, it had a generous amount of meat and a nice crisp although some of the skin was burnt- there was something missing, perhaps it was the pickled veg that it needed to make it a perfect sandwich. The grilled pork was just okay, also a decent amount of mean but there quite a bit of fat in the cuts which was off putting, I don't think I would get that one again. I am glad I tried this spot but with how many banh mi shops there are around I didn't experience anything that would particularly entice me to return. read more
