This is a no frills place to get banh mi or quick takeout. They always have the buy 2 ($12) get 1 free banh mi deal. My favorite is the BBQ pork. They also have rice combos for $8.50 which include 4 items. Their crab & tomato vermicelli soup (bun rieu) is pretty decent. If you order it to go (cold) it's $7 but if you eat there (hot), it's $9. Service here is slow and unfriendly. Knowing this, I try not to take anything personal when I go here. I literally just order my food and leave.

This is a local's spot! People come to buy in bulk and convenience. Buy two get one free banh mi. It's the cheapest I've found in the area. It's not fancy but it's not meant to be. They have plenty of other quick grab dishes like summer rolls or prepackaged rice dishes and lots of che. Again, good and cheap but maybe not the fanciest of fixins or even service. Been here may times and I'm happy to have it so close to take home!

Small shop at this location, this place is mainly order and go. The inside is small with no chairs or tables, the Vietnamese sandwiches and spring rolls were decent. Nothing to rave about. They do have a deal going on buy two get one free, many options, but the flavor of the food was not there for me. The sizes are good portions.

I was skeptical about trying this chain although I have before but I know different locations have different flavorings. This one was the express one located right next to the big bakery. Small but quaint and plentiful readily made to-go items depending on what time of day you go. We went closer to closing so a lot of items already gone. They have a buy 2 get 1 free special which is nice. I ordered (2) #2 (ham, meatloaf, head cheese) and (1) #5 (bbq pork), grabbed 2 steamed bao buns, and 1 banana wrapped rice flour with stuffings. I got veggies on the side for my banh mis and that's a game changer if you plan on eating later. We ate hours later and even the next day as well. The bread was still fluffy and not stale. Both the sandwiches I got were really good in flavor. Surprisingly because sometimes I find places to be bland or just ok. I would definitely come back for my banh mi fix.

There are two spots to this place. One is a bakery and one is just strictly to go orders. It gives me the old school run down vibes with a hole in the wall place. The food is very cheap for what it's worth and the taste and quality is still good. We got the Ham sandwich, bbq pork, and spring rolls. All is worth the price. The bread is super fresh, hot, fluffy, and crispy. Strong 4/5.

I got the 3 bánh mì deal for $12 and tried the BBQ pork, sardine, and ham & meat. All three had good flavor, but the BBQ pork was definitely my favorite and the one I'd order again. The sandwiches could use a bit more meat, but for the price, it's still a solid deal. The ham & meat tasted good, though the texture was a little unusual. As for service, the woman working seemed a bit irritated I'm not sure if that's just her usual demeanor or if she was having an off day. But okay.

What more can I say about this place. I crave this place in the middle of the night. The bread is so fresh. It tastes like candy. The sandwiches are always hitting the spot. Perfect. They've always been kind and considerate to me.

I love the Pho here it's super cheap and yummy! The service isn't the best however the food is good. The sandwiches are good too. They're buy 2 get one free! Their egg rolls are yummy too and only 90 cents each. I come here at least once a week.

Been on a banh mi binge lately and after a great experience at the Fullerton location, we thought we would try our luck at the Westminster location as well. Unfortunately it was close, but not as good as the Fullerton location. We made our order at the smaller building (not the dine-in area) and the service took quick a bit longer than the other location. The banh mi rolls were not as crispy and flakey as the Fullerton location. Perhaps we had dud batch, but the Fulleton location's banh mi crunch had us hoping for the same experience here. Nevertheless, the ingredients were fresg and the price was still great for the amount we received.

TL;DR: Solid, affordable banh mi spot great for grab-and-go. CASH-ONLY and they aren't known for their service. --Interior: Stopped by around 9 PM on a Wednesday, and the place was empty. The setup is more like a deli shop than a sit-down restaurant, clearly designed for quick pickups. Important to note: this is not the same as their full restaurant next door, so don't mix them up. --Service (3/5): The ladies behind the counter are all business--don't expect smiles or answers to your questions. While I had no issues ordering, the "cash-only" policy and some unclear menu rules (like the buy-two-get-one-free deal only applying to items #1-#12) could catch you off guard if you're not prepared. --Food (4/5): The buy-two-get-one-free deal is unbeatable at $12 flat. My order of three sandwiches came out in less than five minutes. I went with the #5 BBQ Pork, and it was definitely a standout: *Bread: Soft yet slightly crisp, a great foundation for the sandwich. *Filling: The BBQ pork was flavorful with a smoky, slightly sweet profile. The veggies--carrots, daikon, and cilantro--were fresh and well-portioned. A few slices of jalapeño added a nice kick. It's not quite at the level of the banh mi I've had in Vietnam, but for SoCal, it's one of the better options I've tried. Definitely beats out Lee's Sandwiches & their rock-hard bread by a mile. Overall: If you're looking for quick, tasty, and affordable banh mi in the area, this is a great choice. Just make sure you come prepared, grab your sandwiches, and go enjoy them elsewhere.

My favorite banh mi here is the egg banh mi with pork roll and pate. They do a good job on this. I'd like it without the mayo/butter spread but more pate instead. I also like to pick up a few desserts and jello when I'm here. Don't expect much service at these places though. They're busy and just want to collect your money and quick onto next customers. :)

What time do they usually have the prepped foods, desserts, and bakery available?

    Around 8am

Is it buy a sandwiches you get 2 free? Does it need to be the same kind (flavor?) TIA. It's really…

No it doesn't need to be the same sandwich! you can mix and match

Can I call and order in advance? Or would it be best to order in person?

I think you can if you know exactly what you want. Knowing Vietnamese might help as well. But if you go there in person and there's no line it won't take long so take your pick.

Do they still do buy 2 get 1 free bahn mi anymore?

    Yes, they do.

I apologize in advance for my ignorance but what is the difference of ordering on a baguette versus french bread roll?

The French roll is shorter and fatter, more like a roll. The bahn mi on a baguette is cut from a full baguette (a third of one) and is longer and thinner. I prefer them on the baguette, but if you get 2 on the French roll, you get a third one… Read more

Does anyone have a menu and price list of their party trays?

What credit cards does this location accept?

They take card (they take Visa) as long as you do a minimum payment of $10.

Anyone know their COVID hours? Please and thank you!

Ok! From what I can understand on the phone , it sounded like 5am-9pm.. anyone else?

    Is this restaurant 24/7 again?

They are closed right now.. heartbroken 💔... I drove all the way here too.. Tuesday 12:40 am

Can you buy containers of just pate and mayo?

Yes, I just bought both today. I believe it was three dollars per container.

Is the veggie banh mi vegetarian or vegan?

How much is the price for boba? Is it still a BOGO

    $3 BOGO

Why doesn't the website list this location?

I think because theres two right next to each other, and the other one might show up? But its a hit or miss for me. Sometimes I do see it, sometimes I dont.

There's 3 Banh Mi Che Cali on the same street? Do they all sell the same stuff?

Yes but the one with the drive thru and the one by the freeway sells pho. The best one is the old taco looking one with the ladies working. Cash only.

Their cuisine is a mix of Argentine and Italian. The restaurant is located at the end of a strip mall with plenty of parking available. Seating options include the patio in front which has heat lamps, a small bar area, and tables in the main dining room. You can make a reservation either on their website or by calling them on the phone. Our server greeted us promptly and brought out a generous serving of warm, fresh bread which was delicious. We ordered a few beef empanadas ($4 each) and a side of chimichurri ($2.50). They came out hot and were very flavorful. We also ordered the Scampi al Vino Bianco appetizer. The five jumbo shrimp were large, and the white wine garlic sauce was good. There was no question about what I was having for my entrée, the Medallon de Lomo, a grilled 10 ounce filet mignon (only $43!). It may not look like 10 ounces in the picture, but it is a thick cut, and was grilled to a perfect medium rare plus as requested. The steak was flavorful on its own, but it comes with its own side of chimichurri sauce which I love on steak. The vegetables were good and seemed fresh, not frozen. This was definitely the best deal I've come across for a 10 ounce filet mignon and a side. One of my friends had the Parrillada Mixta ($68) which is a large serving of various meats including skirt steak, flap meat, short rib, Argentine sausage, blood sausage, and sweetbread. It's served on a big cast iron platter with a flame underneath to keep it hot. It's an entrée for two, but he ate most of it on his own, although we did give him a little help. He said he would pass on the sweetbread next time, and substitute one of the sausages for more meat (extra charge). It also came with a large serving of roasted potatoes. Another friend had the Paella Mixta ($32). It was a good size with a mix of clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp, vegetables, and rice. Our server Fred was very friendly and took great care of us. Their menu is large, I would definitely return to try other items or have another filet mignon. The only negative is that they close somewhat early at 8pm on Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, so plan accordingly.

We parked in the lot and came for an early dinner at 5PM on a Wednesday so did not have to wait. The restaurant got busier as the time got closer to 6PM. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, truly stellar. Many servers were bilingual in English and Spanish. There were also a few foods and goods for sale. The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of a wooden house/cabin. As for the food, the complimentary hot bread is very tasty, and we enjoyed the Ensalata Argentina also. We ordered the Parillada Mixta for two (comes with side choice of fries, roasted potatoes, salad, or sauteed vegetables and we chose vegetables), as well as the Risotto Don Juan de Marco. The parillada came with a substantial amount of meat kept warm on a grill, accompanied by a chimichurri. The short rib meat was a bit tough but still tasty. I felt like the risotto was good but not outstanding. We finished with a creme brulee for dessert and someone also ordered a coffee (cortadito). The meal was solid though came out to $150 after tax and tip.
