There was the most tender rice paper, some steamed bean sprouts, cucumber, there were these fried lentil? cakes, then pork and mushroom wrapped in rice paper, and then all topped off with some fried shrimp thing. They have fish sauce on the table that you mix with some garlic hot sauce. I licked my plate. It was so so so good. Like many great authentic places, the tables are a little sticky, service is a little lacking but man oh man does the food make up for it. It's quick but they forgot our order on 2 separate occassions! One time we went, my table finished our whole meal, and one person was still waiting for their hu tieu. Another time, 2 people ordered hu tieu. They brought out one and forgot about the other one. I had to remind them twice before it came out. I understand they are busy though.
