I grew up eating Vietnamese food at reataurants with over 100 options on the menu. Pho option after pho option, rice dish after rice dish. It was overwhelming. SEN is stays true to their authencity, going for quality over quantity, with their two page menu. Didn't realize just how many Vietnamese restaurants were in the area, so stiff competition! And no, SEN is not a KEI Concepts location! After ordering, we were given our waters in plastic to-go cups, which I thought was a little strange. After our food arrived, there was no check in, no water refills, and you have to go up to the counter to pay. At least its very convenient, streamlined, and efficient! I found the food to have a great depth of flavor, something a lot of pho places lack. I especially liked the wider noodles which offered a nice chew and texture change. Everything was cooked perfectly, and there were plenty of sauces to mix and match if you wanted to spice things up. Definitely worth a visit!
The first time we went here they just opened and we had mixed thoughts. This was our second time and it's improved in portions sizes to match the price point. Pros: -we like the dry rice noodles and the ban da (large noodles). The Sen special has plenty of meat and noodles. The sauce I would say is perfect no need to add more sauce, just add spice. -ambiance is standard, though the AC was blasting. On a hot day that is very appreciated. Negatives: -not much to say, service is standard for an Asian spot. Overall 5/5 It was 3-4 the first time, but I'm happy to report we enjoyed it this time enough to return again
We found this place while getting some coffee at Kei Coffee next door. This place has a small northern Vietnamese menu. It's pretty much a hole in the wall type of place with some large TV's on the walls if you wanted to watch sporting events like the World Cup. We got banh mi pate que which comes with 2 piece that are breadstick sized filled with pate and pork floss. A great appetizer for sharing or having some coffee with. It comes served piping HOT so be careful! We also had the bun cha ha noi which is a very traditional Northern Vietnamese Nanoi dish. It has grilled pork patties and pork belly in a sweet savory fish sauce served with fresh herbs and cold rice vermicelli. You pretty much eat it by wrapping it with the lettuce or dip your noodles into the sauce. Very authentic and delicious without being overly heavy. There isn't much service here since they seem to be super short staffed but they do have delicious authentic Northern Vietnamese food so we absolutely will be back again!

My husband...it's not his fave. But majority rules in this family. I wasn't prepared to be blown away. I most certainly was smacked in the face by flavor from Sen Vietnamese Cuisine in Westminister. We pulled up to this small cafe. A very unassuming place. The kids quickly picked our table. The hubby went up to the counter to order. The food starts to arrive quickly. And what happens next, I'm not quite sure, cause it was a blur of amazingness. The Bánh Ướt with steamped rice paper and pork patties + tofu + fresh herbs and special house sauce literally knocked me backwards. The presentation alone was stellar. But the flavors. THE FLAVORS!!! Out of the park, you guys. Jordan and I were beside ourselves. Licking our fingers and everything. The bánh mìs were appetizer-style cuteness, hai phong style paté and shredded pork in house special sauce. You wouldn't believe the flavors from these little bites. My son couldn't stop! Of course, the kids had what they endearingly call "white noodles" - the phở bắc Đặc biệt. Slurped up every last bite of it. My husband and I tried to steal some bites in, too. Gosh. Too good. We promised ourselves to go back. We never did. But it's definitely on my list. Writing this review now, I'm salivating all over again.
Came for the bun cha, got blown away by the hu tieu! But first, the bun cha Ha Noi , which came with a mound of springy vermicelli, a very generous serving of lettuce wraps and different fresh herbs, and a bowl of pork patties, delicious pork slices, and pickled daikon and carrots in fun star shapes in a sweet and slightly tangy sauce. The pork patties were my favorite, and although there were plenty of the grilled pork, many of them were pieces with a lot of fat. That was my only gripe about it. Now about the hu tieu, which came with all the delicious bbq pork, shrimp, shredded chicken, fried garlic and onions, lightly dressed in an oh so delicious sauce. For me, the sauce was actually the star. Mix everything together and get yourself one delicious bite, filled with so much flavor. The accompanying broth on the side was great as well, with hints of dried shrimp reminiscent of a really good HK wonton noodle soup broth. Highly recommend this place!!

Food Bánh Mì Pate Que (2) - $5.99 Served as two pieces, this Hải Phòng-style bánh mì came with pate, shredded pork, and a house chili sauce. The bread was nicely toasted and served warm, making it easy to share. Bánh Ướt Đặc Biệt - $14.50 Steamed rice sheets topped with pork patties, fried tofu, and fresh vegetables, served with a house fish sauce. The sauce leaned light and slightly sweet, which may appeal to some but felt a bit mild overall. Bún Chả Hà Nội - $16.50 Rice vermicelli served with grilled pork, pork patties, fresh herbs, and house fish sauce. Similar to the other dish, the sauce was on the lighter side in terms of flavor. The protein portions also felt a bit small for the price. Service My party and I were greeted and seated promptly upon our arrival. A server brought menus and returned shortly after to take our order. However, they did not check-in throughout the dining experience. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing and the food came out quickly. Payment is processed at the register near the back by the kitchen. Ambiance The restaurant is dimly lit with plenty of seating for dine-in. Location It is located in a strip plaza with a shared parking alongside other businesses.
came here on a Monday - there was plenty of seating inside. The aesthetic is very nice and modern with vietnamese murals inside. Although there wasn't many people inside the restaurant, we felt that we had to keep trying to flag them down because they weren't being attentive just talking to each other or on their phones. They have plenty of vegetarian options and specialize in dishes with fermented shrimp sauce (mam tom/mam nem). Overall the food was just okay, lacked flavor.
I came wanting to something new with my partner. The place seempacked and lively and the service is humble and kind. I could say the food was delicious for what I got I was happy to get it fast. However I did get my second dish which I had to take home for I was fulfilled already with the first dish. My partner liked the presentation and the location is in a good spot for parking. The place looks pretty chill and modern vibe. I would come again.
Came here for lunch on the early side to avoid crowds and got a table right away. The menu is not overwhelming, it offers a variety of noodles such as pho, vermicelli, sticky rice...we had the Hue Tron Sen / dry which is very tasty however they use rice noodles (the one that's used for pho) instead of the clear hu tieu noodles. Mien tom ga was good on a whole but broth was bland. The restaurant is clean & service is good. Overall we enjoyed our visit.
This place always has long lines so o figured it was about time to stop by and check them out. It is a small restaurant kept very clean. The decor is very pretty and inviting. They have a tv on the wall which was playing the Olympics when we went. The service is courteous and relatively quick given how busy they are. The food was pretty good. My husband has the special noodle and was happy. I had the bun cha Ha Noi at $16.99. Love how it was displayed and I could make my own wee bowl. The flavor was this okay. I think I expected more of a traditional fish sauce the sauce reminds me more of a shrimp sauce tho.
Pretty good given the options nowadays (RIP Hanoi Ave). The bun cha had a lot of veggies, good amount of noodles and the pork in fish sauce broth. I think the broth was a bit sweeter than I like and not as smoky but still pretty good. Service was very quick like any viet restaurant. Ambiance was nice, typical restaurant.

I was craving bun cha and saw the good reviews for Sen. unfortunately it did not satisfy my craving. I don't think the meats are grilled to order. The meats did not have any char marks or taste and the fat of the pork had no crunch at all. The Banh mi would have been better if the baguette had more crunch. The noodle dish was bland. The best item was the cha gio and that was just ok. I had to ask the server for chilis 3 times after all the food already came. He only brought 3 small ones.

I like how simple and straightforward the menu is here. I ordered the Miến Tôm Gà (Nước) and Bánh Đa Cua Hải Phòng. Both were pretty decent and had their own flavors. Bánh Đa Cua Hải Phòng was probably my favorite, the flat noodles were nice and chewy, which I really enjoyed. There was only one waiter when I visited, but he worked pretty fast and was very efficient. Even with just one person handling the service, I didn't have to wait too long for my food after ordering. Overall, a simple spot with a focused menu and some dishes with their own unique flavors. I'd come back to try some of the other items. read more

I came to try their bun ca (vermicelli with fish), which was not as I expected. This is a northern Vietnamese style restaurant, so their bun ca is very different than the southern version that I am used to. It came with some fried fish and fried fish paste, and served with fresh herbs. It was tasty but did not hit the spot as I was craving the southern style bun ca. Service was fast and efficient. Overall, decent restaurant for northern Vietnamese dishes. read more
I had a lot of high hopes for this place, especially as my older son drove down from DTLA with his friends to come to a group dinner that's not Hanoi Corner. When the opportunity finally presented itself, my friend and I came early on a Sunday evening before the wait ensues. The service was brisk and efficient. The menu was alittle underwhelming, but that's fine if they specialize in certain dishes. I got the mien trốn sen (wet) soup and the broth was alittle flat that evening. I didn't have that comfort food reaction when the glass noodles filled with gummy chicken skin and shrimp hit my taste buds. I was so hopeful! My friend got the vegan vermicelli and said the ratio of greens/veggies to noodles was off. Decent amount of tofu. Only big plus is that we didn't have to wait on top of the taste disappointment. read more

This place was recommended and wow so glad I went today!! Probably hands down the best egg rolls ever had in a bun!! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was incredible. The fish sauce it came with was also very unique. Not the usual ones you get at other places. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the other item we ordered. But it was also very good. The taste is more subtle and not overwhelming. Small menu but good choices. read more

One dish I always come back for is the Miến khô trộn. Really tasty and delicious. The portion is generous for me. This place is a twist of traditional dishes with modern and upgraded flavors. Their Pho Bac dac biet was also tasty, loved it when they used fresh noodles (bigger rice noodles). The one we did not enjoy was Banh Da Hai Phong. Found this spot mmm take a wild guess how? Yelp :p The food is very tasty and the portions are huge, the service is very classy as the waiter spoke in Vietnamese so well mannered and proper and the ambiance is kind of loud as families eat here like mothers talking to their kids and due to random businesses that are in the area as well. I couldn't choose which to eat but ate the banh uot dac biet and the mien tron sen kho. It was my first time trying out mien noodles in a dish like this and it ate! Soo good ! I will come again but sit closer to the registers because there's a quang cafe that reeks of cigarette smoke two doors down. read more
Got the bun cha ha noi and it was so good. The sauce, meat, noodles, and vegetables paired perfectly and the meal felt refreshing and not too heavy. The meat was not too tough and the aromatics of the dish was good. Portion was great and price was affordable. read more

Long time customer here! They have a brand new dish: Bún Chả Cá Thì Là. The fish and the fish cakes are super tasty, and the amount of thì là (dill) they use makes it the perfect combo. It really nails that traditional Northern-style flavor profile. Pro tip: make sure to mix in some sa tế, as it completely amplifies the broth and takes it to the next level! Also, I'm so hyped that the Cháo Sườn Quẩy is FINALLY back on the menu! It came out piping hot and is just as comforting as I remember. Honestly, this bowl right here is what keeps me coming back and craving more. Solid spot, totally hits the spot if you want some legit, comforting Northern food. read more

First time here and my friends love this place! The flavors are definitely there and the servings were generous! I played it safe and got a bowl of pho, BUT I should have gotten one of the dried noodles. My friend let me try his and it was AMAZING! I did notice there's a strong fish sauce flavor to all the dishes which surprised me (shocking as a Filipino) but I haven't consumed that much fish sauce in sooo long lol! read more

4/19/25 Spring break 2025 We arrived half past the hour after opening. There is a waitlist checkin kiosk but it wasn't operational upon arrival. We had a short 5 minute wait and seated fairly quickly however we had to flag them down to order after waiting an additional 7 minutes. We started our orders with appetizers and ordered in order the (1) Cha Nem and (2) Banh Mi Pate Que (comes with 2) followed by our (2) Pho Bac Dac Biet and (1) Banh Da Cua Hai Phong noodle orders. Asked for soybean milk, coconut blended coffee and 3 ice waters. First out was our 3 noodle bowls followed by the (2) paté baquette order. Our drinks shortly followed. We noticed a few tables being served the nem eggrolls but ours wasn't out yet. Half way through eating our noodles, we flagged and asked our server if the Cha Nem was coming. He said he would check and came back telling us it was coming and almost done. My boys love paté so we ordered another serving for them. When this additional order of paté baquettes came out before our cha nem, we decided to ask again where our order was with the older gentleman (owner). He went to check his tablet to see if we ordered it, saw that we did and went to the kitchen and I guess ordered it. This one dish came out after we were all done with our 3 app orders, 3 noodles and drinks. It was just shy of an hour that we received the very first dish we ordered. :O (1) Cha Nem - Northern style egg rolls filled with shrimp, pork, and crab (3 small eggrolls - served cut in half with lettuce and herbs) - crispy and warm and pretty good! Just disappointed in the severe wait and unapologetic service. (2+1) Banh Mi Pate Que - comes with 2 Banh mi, Hai Phong style paté and shredded pork in house special sauce - this is a slightly chunky paté vs the paste you usually get in traditional Vietnamese sandwiches. (1) Banh Da Cua Hai Phong - described as Authentic Hai Phong crab soup with flat red noodle, chả lá lốt, meat ball, and shrimp - pretty good, light clean crab flavored broth. (2) Pho Bac Dac Biet - Pho noodle, rare ribeye, brisket and flank - meat was very tender, sliced thin. Broth wasn't sweet like many others we've tried. While food was all pretty darn good, the service and acknowledgment of us as patrons was lacking big time. Hopefully we get treated better next time. read more

I had the Bánh Mì Pâté Quê and Miến Trộn Sen and both were delicious. The bánh mì had a crispy baguette and rich pâté, and the miến trộn was fresh and flavorful. If you're looking for some good and comforting Vietnamese food, this is the spot! My friend and I came on a Wednesday night and were seated almost immediately - even though there was quite a lot of people there! We both ordered the bun cha Ha Noi, one of their more popular dishes and it was delicious. I love how it was presented in a deconstructed manner, because it allowed me to only add and mix in what I preferred. My friend, who is new to eating Vietnamese food appreciated how umami and perfectly seasoned the nước mam sauce was. It wasn't overly fishy, salty, spicy, etc. Definitely new go to spot on the list! read more
Absolutely unexpected treasure of a spot! Driving home from the OC, we Yelped a lunch spot in Westminster and decided on SEN Vietnamese Cuisine and wow, did we luck out. This isn't your typical pho-and-banh-mi place. The menu's more focused, a little unfamiliar, but that's the magic. I ordered the Mien Tron Sen. I never heard of it before. It blew my mind!!! Think Filipino pancit's cooler Vietnamese cousin: soft, glassy noodles tossed with shrimp, shredded chicken, and BBQ pork, all tied together with crispy fried garlic. Pure heaven in your mouth. My wife and boy got the same dish in Bun Cha Ha Noi, which came with grilled pork and a juicy pork patty (yeah, a patty sounded weird, but trust) over vermicelli, dunked in this sweet-savory fish sauce magic. Unreal. And FYI, the leftovers heat up nicely. Place was packed with Vietnamese families, service was fast and friendly, and bonus: tons of parking in a chill strip mall. I came here for lunch on a Sunday, and although the restaurant was full, I was first in line and got seated in 5 minutes. Very efficient! I tried the Miến Trộn Sen (Khô), which was enjoyable and satisfying. The dry glass noodles were well-prepared, and the broth that comes on the side was better than I expected -- rich, flavorful, and well-seasoned. I wish the dish came with more veggies or a plate of fresh greens like lettuce, celery, or extra bean sprouts... a small addition like that could've taken the dish from good to excellent. I also had the Bún Chả Hà Nội, and I appreciated that they were able to substitute the vermicelli noodles with steamed rice paper (bánh ướt) -- a really neat and delicious twist. The grilled pork and dipping sauce were on point. Both were good and I would recommend both. Their portions are on the smaller side, which is great if you're aiming for a lighter meal or wanting dessert afterwards. read more
