Mu sui cao khó

Wow. I am very impressed with this restaurant! I ordered their Mi Sui Cao Kho which is essentially their dry wonton noodles! The sauce is savory with a little bit of spiciness. Their wontons were nicely filled and the wonton wrapper was nice and thin, but not fall apart thin! I will come back to try other dishes!

In honesty, the noodles are delicious, and the sauces they mix it is delicious. We ordered the dry noodles with wonton. The wontons are Huge with lots of juicy meat!! Prices are a bit on the high side and if you order the vietnamese dry noodles, the noodles they give is such a small portion. We always order extra noodles which is $4 more. So $20 for a bowl of egg dry noodles with 5 huge meaty wontons. Vietnamese food use to be the most cheapest Asian foods before covid times. Sadly now $20 is average. :-(

This place is located in a very busy shopping center. Delicious food! Service was quick and I got the oxtail spicy soup. It is a very earthy strong flavor and comes with some chewy egg noodle. Two of these bowls cost a total of 35 including tip. Really reasonable.

My friend found this restaurant because she loves egg noodles and this place makes their egg noodles in house. We came with ~10 friends, and we were able to get a large table with everyone seated together. We came on a Saturday night, and by the time we came, they were already out of their most popular dish (oxtail noodle soup). I will 100% come back just to try their oxtail noodle soup, but I opted for the duck noodle soup and the meat was really tender and delicious. My broth was on the lighter end, but with the slightly heavier egg noodles, it was the perfect combination. I actually really loved my friend's spicy noodle soup (I'm not entirely sure which dish it was), and it reminded me of a better beef noodle soup. Service is so good, and they give great recommendations if you're not sure what to order!

-Dumplings with noodles, dry $15.99- chunky dumplings, so much meat, loved it! -House special pan fried noodle $15.99- tasty yummy delicious! My family enjoyed our dining experience here. Definitely will be back when we are in town.

Been hearing good things about this restaurant so I'm glad I got to stop by. Came by during a weekday lunch and surprised it was not too crowded. For drinks I got: Cafe sua da - good flavor and strong Soda chanh - refreshing and light We ordered the dry noodles with dumplings, house special noodles, fried chicken with rice, and house special fried rice. Their egg noodles are freshly made and cooked nicely to have a bouncy texture. My favorite forsure is the dry noodles with the steamed dumplings. It was flavorful, seasoned well, and the dumplings are loaded.

pretty good food! the portion size for the noodles was a little small but still delicious. i loved the noodle texture. the chicken dish was yummy. chicken was cooked to a very good crisp and the rice had good flavor. i liked the soup they served with it as well. inside is clean and was a bit hot in the seats with sun from the glass windows. service was alright and they checked on us once.

Actually we went to this one by accident. All the fuss was actually the new one but I have to say that I was not disappointed. The Oxtail Soup was good. I eat Pho A LOT and this Broth kinda threw me off. It had a slight a Herbal taste to it. It was still good just not what I expected. Now the Broth that came with the Dry Noodles was so good that I ordered two containers to go. It might just be the best blBroth I ever had. I told my Server (He was great, but forgot his name) that was exceptional. I did something different by mixing a little of the Oxtail Broth with the Dry Noodle Broth and all I can say is that Leftovers tonight is on. The Fried Noodles were also very good and a definite get when I come back again. I also had a Winter Melon drink. I have to say I didn't care for it as much possibly due to the added Tea. I probably wouldn't order it again but it was popular as there was at least one on every table. Service was on point and professional. I will probably try the new Restaurant they opened as they have even more options. I really wanted to try the Shumai. Definitely coming back. Yallhollatchaboy'.

Mì Thập Cẩm / House Special

I came her with my mom and we shared the mì sủi cáo sò điệp and the Mì Thập Cẩm with broth on the side. Both noodle dishes were alright; however, the meat isn't very juicy and I was a bit disappointed since it was quite tough. It felt like they just threw the noodles and everything together so the flavors were not cohesive together. I also wished they added more lettuce in the noodles. I did like the dumpling flavors along with the sauce it came in. Overall, pretty decent Vietnamese noodle eatery but a few small tweaks could really elevate the dish!

Came here for lunch. This place is located in a busy plaza so parking can get tight during peak hours. The place is clean and the staff is friendly. I got a thai tea to drink and dry noodles with dumpling for entrees. Thai Tea- The tea flavor is strong with just the right amount of sweetness. Quite refreshing! Dry Noodles with Dumpling- This is a delicious and filling meal that comes in three parts. You get a savory broth seasoned with herbs and spices. You also get dry noodles with soy sauce and a litte sweetness at the end, finished with a crispy shrimp cracker. Finally, you get juicy and flavorful shrimp dumplings. Definitely come hungry. Great experience overall!

The full spread of everything they recommended!

I'm actually still thinking about this place. We went to Mai Phat Mi Gia and ordered SO much food, mi sui cao, crispy sui cao, dry sui cao, and somehow everything was amazing. No misses at all. One of the most memorable dishes was the beef stew soup (I wish I remembered the exact name). They give you this little ramekin of salt and pepper to dip the meat in and it was so simple but SO good. That alone had me sold. But honestly... the drinks stole the show. Double matcha latte, peach lemongrass orange tea, house coffee with cream cheese, guava soda! YUM! All super unique and so refreshing. You don't see drinks like this everywhere. If you saw my reactions you'd understand -- I was literally dancing and nodding the whole time. That's how you know it's good. If you're in OC near Westminster, you need to try this spot. I'd come back for everything, but especially those drinks.

Kidney noodles soup

A bit bland for my liking but the kidney was HUGE! Service was fast and they were rrally nice and accommodating. I wish they have variety of noodles to choose from but they only have egg noodles

Mi ga quay kho
Lynne T.

I wanted to try this place out since I've been seeing it a lot on my tiktok fyp. I got the mi ga quay kho (dry) with soup on the side. It was a decent bowl of noodles and the fried shrimp wonton cracker was okay, but holy the chicken piece they give you is HUGE. I had enough leftover for a second meal

We waited probably around 15 minutes and there were about two or three other parties before us. Be sure to sign in on the notepad. There are a few plastic stools in the front. While you're waiting, they will take your order to add it to the queue for the kitchen. When our turn was up, we were seated at small table for two. I noticed another gentleman by himself at a table for four people. Hmmmm. Anyhow, there were about five tables total inside or maybe six. It was very warm inside since there is no AC. This is a type of life where you eat and leave as quickly because it's a no-frills no ambience type of place. That's fine with me except it was pretty hot. They charge you a dollar for a little tiny paper cup of water. I ordered the number one since this is their specialty or what they're known for. My mom had the bun thit nuong cha gio. My noodle soup had a good amount of crab pieces and shrimp. It seemed like there was not a lot of noodles though. I thought the broth was a little bland. I guess I'm just not a big fan of this type of soup. If there is a next time, I'll try the bun rieu. My mother was not that crazy about her dish. She said she didn't really like the egg rolls that much. For the price, the wait and the taste of the food, I likely will not be returning when there are so many other places in the area. I try to support various mom and pop restaurants, but for the previous stated reasons, I don't think we'll be back.

So cool that I just discovered Westminster has a location too! What's even better is that they have outdoor seating which means dogs are allowed! That's a HUGE plus for me. My go to is always the soup thick egg noodle and thin vermicelli noodle with assorted meat and shrimp. I also like to order the egg and rice cake for the table. Each dish is about $14. Portions seem a bit smaller than the San Gabriel and Rosemead location but it gets the job done and I am pretty full after the meal. They have so many other options on the menu like chow fun, hainan chicken, and a ton of other noodle soup dishes. The last two times I came here was on a weekday during lunch so there was plenty of parking. However, I'm sure it gets packed on the weekend since it is located right next to the Asian Garden Mall. All tax is included in the price so there's no additional sales tax line item. Also! They charge 50 cents for water.. other locations do not. I was surprised but oh well.

The restaurant was not busy at all, nice and quiet, great service of course since it wasn't busy. I ordered grandma's dry egg noodles and they have one of the best dry noodles I've ever had since moving to OC. They put the perfect amount of sauce, some places don't have enough sauce for the noodles. Also had plenty of protein. I added an order of wonton's which is an additional charge but well worth it. The broth on the side is so refreshing! What I love most is that this restaurant is still very affordable, $10.99 for a bowl of dry noodles is amazing. Definitely a returning customer!

I picked the Sò Lông Nướng Mỡ Hành & it was really good. But then I felt something hard when I was chewing & I think I chipped part of my tooth - I'm going to go home & have my boyfriend check it for me & I'll attach the photo of my chipped tooth. Anyway, I have a crown cap so I wasn't super alarmed, but still a bit shook. I still finished my food but I politely tried to let one of the cashiers know. I showed him & everything & he was apologetic & asked what they could do to fix the situation. So I asked for a refund. And the other cashier said in Vietnamese something about me, like "Con nhỏ này" & I thought maybe he's talking about something else-but then when he gave me the receipt of my refund, he said "and I don't want you to be a customer here anymore." I was very appalled and I stood there wondering if he really just said that to me after I had an experience. I asked him why he didn't want me to be a customer anymore. And he turns to a customer to ring them out, ignoring me. So I waited til he was done with that transaction & repeated my question. He flat out said "because you're annoying." WOW. That's just so rude. And unfortunate bc I thought the food was really good & wanted to come back for the clam & the sweet corn milk. So I definitely wouldn't want to be a customer anyways with that kind of attitude towards a customer. Btw they give you plastic utensils here even for dining in which is a con.
