First time visiting on a Sunday for lunch. Nice casual place for an abundance of Vietnamese dishes. Food came out fairly soon. Everything looked really delicious and fresh. We enjoyed everything ordered especially the Bun Dau Mam Tom dish. I like to graze with my food so it's one of my favorites. The sauce is really delicious and stinky just the way it should be. Not too salty. The Mi Ga chiến (yellow noodles soup with fried chicken) was 10/10. Chicken thigh was fresh and crispy. Not dry like other places! The Mi Vịt (yellow noodles soup with duck with wontons) was even better. Great size portions in food. Service was also very good & attentive. Will be back soon!

This place deserves more attention and recognition ! Service was so good. The lady was so nice and kind. She checked in on us often enough to make sure things are okay. Flavor is good, clean presentation and portion is just right. I got a Mi Vit Tiem Kho and Mi Xao Don and loved both of them.

Saw this on Yelp and the menu looked interesting. Decided to give it a try. The restaurant was decorated simple and clean. The service was great. We ordered the following: Coconut sea snails Thai seafood noodles Bun dau mam Tom Pho with rare beef, tripe and beefball Coconut sea snails were delicious. My mom enjoyed her Thai seafood noodles. My daughter loved her custom pho with rare beef, tripe and beefball. The pho broth was tasty and had depths. I decided to be adventurous and ordered Bun dau mam Tom. I never had this before and wasn't sure how to eat it. It came with fish sauce, shrimp paste sauce and a bowl of sugar. The vermicelli came in cube shape which threw me off. I thought I had to wrap it with lettuce. I asked the owner and he said to mix it in a bowl. This dish included fried tofu, sliced pork, eggrolls, pork sausage, green sticky rice patties and herbs. I mixed in the ingredients in a bowl with fish sauce and it was good. The shrimp paste was too salty and I didn't use the sugar. I would be back to try other items.

ORDER banh canh tom cua (3/5) the presentation was good. the portions were huge and was well worth the price. the shrimp and pork were perfectly cooked. unfortunately, the broth had no flavor. i also tried the nui and bun dau mam tom. the nui lacked flavor as well. the sauce for the bun dau mam tom was too salty. SERVICE friendly service. AMBIANCE there's a front and back section to the restaurant. the hallway that leads to the back of the restaurant felt a bit cramped.

Had to comeback to try their take on Pho! The pho dac biet is indeed special as they present you with a decorative pot! Definitely appreciated the uniqueness to this serving. The broth is 5/5 Meat to noodle ratio 5/5 Herbs were fresh

Mì sủi cảo khô ở đây ngon, thơm và đậm đà gia vị. Nước soup cũng ngon nhưng nếu được nóng hơn một tý thì sẽ ngon hơn. My family absolutely loves the dry noodles here. The noodles were cooked to perfection--aromatic and bursting with flavor. The accompanying bowl of broth was delicious, though it would have been even better if it was served hotter. We weren't sure if it was a promotion, but every meal came with a complimentary small dessert. We enjoyed every bite of it The service here is fantastic. This small family-run business truly shines. Both husband and wife were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure their customers are cared for. My family will definitely return to support this gem of a place. If you haven't visited yet, I highly recommend making the effort to check it out!

Besides the interesting name, this place actually offers some good eats. I admit I had some apprehension when glancing through the menu (which doesn't have the best layout). Usually when a restaurant has many items on its menu chances are they don't have any special and some of them could be from the freezer. On our first visit we tried: Bún đậu mắm tôm: besides the usual fries tofu, chả cốm, and thịt luộc they gave me fried sausage and egg rolls. The egg rolls are especially tasty and the aroma got a boost from taro in the filling. Bánh mì chảo: I might have forgot why I shouldn't order this. The dish itself was ok but I always feel kind of sick from too much fat/oil on the plate. This is not anyway the restaurant's fault. They gave me the usual of beef cubes, pate, fried egg, sausage and chả lụa. Overall an ok dish. Bánh mì que: we tried all four flavors and the winner is trứng muối. The pork floss, chả cá and cheese were only ok. We like it enough to come back the next day to try different items. We didn't to try crawfish since we didn't like to get our hands dirty. I really want to sample the ốc móng tay and rau muốn but it was not available. We then tried: Ốc hương trứng muối: the snails doused in the salted egg sauce would be great with beer (they don't have alcohol license btw). The waiter suggested we should get the bread and he was right: the trứng muối made good dipping sauce ( I guess this is the same sauce they use in bánh mì que). Baked oysters: they were topped with scallions and peanuts. The first half dozen served were overcooked and dry but the next one were good with the dipping sauce. Bánh canh: this is the thick kind with crab and shrimps. I would like this if I haven't had better elsewhere. Bao tử hầm tiêu đen. They offer this both as noodles bowl and hot pot. I tried the bowl version and I throughly enjoyed it. The stomach bits were fatty and chewy and the broth got strong pepper fragrance. That combination was perfect for the al dente noodles. The servers and the owner were friendly. They even apologized for the long wait since this is first opening week. I was surprised when the owner informed me of the %20 discount. I will come back soon (the discount helps) to try other dishes on the menu.

Went here for the first time because I saw they had duck noodle soup and ALL the food is amazing! The grilled oyster with salted egg was fresh and were huge, escargot was also super fresh, and the soup was so hearty and delicious, the duck was perfectly tender as well. They have a ton of Viet street food options that I'll have to be back to try. Staff is super kind and accommodating and even gave us dessert, newer place so def check them out!

We came here for breakfast and everything on the menu sounded very promising and delicious. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was very subpar. We ordered: - Canh Bún - Mi Vit - Balut in Tamarind - Boiled Balut (not pictured) - Banh Mi Nuong - Mi ga kho (not pictured) The gentleman who took our order was very kind and accommodating, which we appreciated. However, I was disappointed when we were served raw balut. Upon pointing it out, instead of replacing it with a freshly cooked one, the staff reheated the same one, which ultimately looked quite unappetizing. The canh bún looked appealing, but the broth was bland, and the riêu (crab meat) was spongy, lacking the texture and flavor typically found in canh bún. A touch of tomato flavor would have made a big difference. The mì vịt was decent, though the duck was slightly dry. Lastly, the bánh mì nướng fell short of expectations. It was tough, could have been crispier and thinner, and was overly heavy on the mayo. We were offered free soft drinks in exchange for a 4 star review. In the end, I declined the gesture because I could not honestly give them 4 stars for the food or service. Overall, I was not impressed with Ta La Kitchen. Not sure if I would consider going back. They seem fairly new so I hope they consider improving the quality of food.

This is one of those restaurants where your belly is full and your heart is filled. For someone who's indecisive, it took me a while to decide as they do offer an extensive menu. The portion was generous and the food tastes like homemade which I love. They also offered these yummy jelly dessert after you're done eating. I ordered a coffee togo after and it was strong!! I'm still thinking about the generous size. You can definitely tell the owner cares about their customers and wants to make sure what you're paying is worth the price especially in this economy!!Will keep supporting this type of establishment where hospitality is prioritized.

Great service and enjoyable food. They have a ton of seafood dishes and their food was very tasty. It's a smaller place, but I highly recommend you try this place. Parking can be a challenge as it is in a busier shopping plaza, but there is always a space somewhere in the lot.

The food is amazing, but I didn't take any pictures of any main dishes. I would recommend the Banh Canh Tom Cua and Banh Canh Phong Tom. If you looking for late night snacks the Cajun fries and fried chicken are really good quality. Highly recommend. The place is small but cozy.

Hi . What is the maximum capacity at your restaurant?

Where is it located? We called 10x and no one pick up the calls. We Google map and when we arrived we don't see it ? Did we missed something?

I can see it from Bolsa Ave. it's in the building closest to Bushard St and Bolsa Ave. next door to POSE Salon. It looks like main entrance is in the back where the parking spaces are. I'll post a photo of the front entrance.

Mai Phat still exceeded them! It has since become our go-to lunch spot, as well as a local favorite for my wife's family. They specialize in egg noodles - served either dry (with broth and main protein on the side) or wet like a conventional soup bowl. My personal go-to is the dry mì sủi cảo - egg noodles with sliced / ground pork, huge wonton dumplings, a shrimp cracker, and broth on the side. The wontons come in a super rich and delicious sauce that I actually got scolded for pouring over my noodles lol. The light and clear broth is very refreshing and well-seasoned. Excellent mix of perfectly balanced flavors from every component. Add chili crisp for extra oomph. My wife loves the mì gà quay - fried chicken leg & thigh with the signature egg noodles. This is honestly one of the most perfectly seasoned and cooked fried chicken I've ever had, and I've had a LOT of fried chicken. Service was prompt, friendly, and attentive Highly recommend Mai Phat for hearty, expertly crafted, and relatively guilt free Vietnamese comfort food

This is a type of life where you eat and leave as quickly because it's a no-frills no ambience type of place. That's fine with me except it was pretty hot. They charge you a dollar for a little tiny paper cup of water. I ordered the number one since this is their specialty or what they're known for. My mom had the bun thit nuong cha gio. My noodle soup had a good amount of crab pieces and shrimp. It seemed like there was not a lot of noodles though. I thought the broth was a little bland. I guess I'm just not a big fan of this type of soup. If there is a next time, I'll try the bun rieu. My mother was not that crazy about her dish. She said she didn't really like the egg rolls that much. For the price, the wait and the taste of the food, I likely will not be returning when there are so many other places in the area. I try to support various mom and pop restaurants, but for the previous stated reasons, I don't think we'll be back.
