One of the reasons we wanted to visit this restaurant was to try the NOLA Grilled Oyster Combo ($69.99). Along with that, our table also ordered: the quail with sticky rice ($20.99), salted fish and shrimp fried rice ($24.99), shaken beef with garlic noodles ($22.99), bok choy with sautéed garlic ($12.99), a hot tea ($4.00), Coca-Cola ($5.50), a mojito ($15.00), and a margarita ($15.00). With tax ($17.71), our ticket was $209.16 before gratuity. The NOLA Grilled Oysters come sizzling on a hot griddle, with four different fillings, four pieces each, for a total of 16 oysters. The price might seem a bit indulgent, but not if you consider the effort and ingredients that go into this presentation. Each type was flavorful, and there wasn't a single one I didn't enjoy. The salted fish fried rice was an interesting experience. I enjoyed the dish, though the salted fish was less salty than I expected. Someone in our group, who usually doesn't like salted fish fried rice because they find it too salty, actually liked this version for its milder flavor. The plate also includes four large shrimp. The shaken beef was tasty and tender; the garlic noodles were al dente and had just enough garlic--not excessive. The sautéed garlic added a smoky, nutty taste to the bok choy. The quail was marinated well and tasted good--but I wonder if it was fried just a bit too long. After this meal, I chatted with a friend who lives in the community. He'd been to this spot before but dismissed it as just another seafood boil joint. After our conversation, though, he said he'd be willing to give it another shot. However, I ordered the 2 lb shrimp special for $30 but it seems like this bag in the picture was only 1 lb. (Mind you, this bag came with potato and corn) I've never even finished 2 lbs of shrimp by myself before, so I asked her before the food came, if I could take home any leftovers since it was a dine in special. So clearly, I doubt i received the actual 2 lbs. I asked if she could ask the chef if i really received 2 lbs and he said I did. The flavors include buttery lobster, cajun crab, green onions, and elote. The oysters are plump and juicy, and I really enjoyed all of the toppings! I would come back for these! They also have a variety of other seafood dishes. They have different seafood boil options. I got the Stone Crab Combo with stone crab, garlic noodles, corn, sausage, and potato. After seeing a food influencer post this place for the AYCE seafood boil I was sold. The first red flag was when my family and I walked in, at the same time we was like I don't smell any sea food boil, iykyk a seafood boil joint has that delicious seafood boil smell but this place had none of that. The AYCE has 2 tier 1 with just shrimp, crawfish and mussels then the other stuff like fries, corn etc.. 2nd tier is with snow crab and lobster plus all the other stuff from tier 1 BUT the Snow crab and lobster is technically not AYCE you can only get it once with tier 2 that's it it's kind of misleading if you ask me. I did not like the seafood boil sauce lack of flavor super salty, tiny mussels and clams no other option to for crawfish in their selections. Came here today for happy hour oysters which are $2 each. Unfortunately prices just increased from $1.50, but nonetheless we still wanted to try it out. The oysters were medium sized and very clean! We later found that two razor clams were stacked to each other to deceive the look of one longer/bigger looking razor clam instead. Proceeded to ask the manager who replied it's just whatever shipment size arrives. There were a total of 5 stacked razor clams. It's definitely pricier than most other restaurants for the quality and quality of it. Finally, we also ordered the seafood bucket which was supposed to include 1/2 a snow crab (it was definitely frozen), 1 lobster tail (tiny and frozen), 1lb shrimp (digestive tract still intact, giving a sandy gritty texture), 2 corns, 2 fist sized potatoes (kid you not by fist sized), 2 pieces of sausage (like really... 2 slices of sausage), 2 sodas, and ice cream (which were never given to us) It's understandable that businesses may not be doing so well in the time and economy, but deceiving paying customers are only gonna make the situation worse. I've been here once before, but recently took my dad and bro here for my dad's birthday. Its a good size restaurant, nicely decorated and clean. Lots of seafood options. Between 3 people we got the mango squid salad, escargot, ship wreck platter which comes with a variety of grilled seafood and grilled corn, Thai style hot pot, and rice. I did pay $11 for a coconut ice cream coffee and it was worth it to try. I dont know how they make their coffee but I swear it had a slight taste of whisky or Henny but I ain't complaining. I dont usually eat escargot but I was able to eat a few here. Their ship wreck platter was expensive at $80 and their Thai hot pot was $52. I didn't bother to look at prices until after. A lot of the dishes you order here you can get for half the price somewhere else, but I guess it's for the dining experience. With tip, the lavish meal came out to $260 which is high for dining in this area. The prices alone wouldn't keep me away but im not sure if ill come back a lot. Maybe once in awhile. We saw advertisements of this restaurant on Facebook and Instagram, and they made it look so appealing. We ordered the fried quails and seafood salad from the menu. Off the menu, we ordered the baked seafood combo and the garlic crab combo. Here comes the verdict... The fried quails were very crispy, a bit salty, but the spicy dipping sauce was really good. The seafood salad was not what we expected. It was beautifully presented in a pineapple "bowl." Sadly, the bowl was very shallow and barely had anything in it. The salad was basically a bunch of red onions, carrots, pieces of sliced pineapple, microscopic sized squids, red clams, and 4 shrimp. This was definitely not worth $26.99!!!!! The naked seafood combo and the garlic crab combo were nicely flavored, but overly greasy. The crab tasted old, overcooked, and really dry. These 2 dishes were what lured us to the restaurant. We felt misled...For $29.99 each, the portions were really small! Definitely false advertisement, because they claimed to be the best seafood with the best deal in OC. Not true!! Overall, the only dish that we enjoyed were the crispy quails. Everything else was a thumbs down! The restaurant itself had a very inviting entrance. Service was just ok. Note, if you pay by credit card, they make you pay at the counter. I thought that was a bit odd. All other seafood on the list was just alright. As for sides we ordered cajun fries, street corn and spicy edamame. Nothing special to any of these items. I ordered 1 Dragon Fruit Lychee cocktail. Warning: it's a pretty strong drink. I don't have any complaints regarding service. We were too full to have any dessert. Dear DSH, The 7-page book menu should have given it away. The waitress recommended quail over cajun duck. The quail was overcooked, dry, brunt, flavorless. The whole grilled squid was overcooked, dry, and salty. We ordered 4 items between 2 people and they kept trying to push us to order more things. There was no one in the place, but us. It was overwhelming empty with lots of dead flowers as decorations. Their raw oysters and lobster rolled served with fries were OK, but nothing to come back for. Please stop serving overcooked food with a smile like it is OK. We don't mind paying $20-25 per plate, if you don't serve seafood rubber. read more

I ordered the garlic noodle and samurai seafood combo. Everything was packed full of flavors and very much enjoyable. The garlic noodle was probably the best I've had so far. I got the garlic noodles that came with crab legs, and an extra order of just the garlic noodles. The samurai seafood combo came with all of my favorite seafoods: snow crabs, oysters, shrimps, and sea snails on a sizzling hot skillet. The crabs for this one were actually a little too salty for me, but I still enjoyed it! The menu in general has so many options. My waitress had to help me order, and that was helpful. The establishment itself was clean and spacious with cute decors. Bathroom was clean. I would love to try this place again. read more

Super cute Spring decor on top of a nautical theme. Not busy on a Monday night at prime dinner time, but service was a bit slow (had to pay at the counter!). Server didn't seem too knowledgeable about the food being served and barely smiled at us. Food was tasty but the portions were small. Overall, not sure if I'd return. read more
