good food and really good service! [[HIGHLIGHT]]the decor inside it's beautiful, it's a large interior with a floral/ japanese ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] no wait at dinner on a sunday! the seafood is good, large portions. the only concern i had was not all shrimp were deveined.

Destination Seafood is officially a new favorite. Hours are 12 PM - 9 PM (Monday-Sunday), except Thursdays when they are closed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the music and the vibe here. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the space is clean, spacious, and comfortable, never cramped or chaotic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Aidan, was genuinely kind and attentive, which always sets the tone for a great experience. The food came out fresh and hot, and what I appreciated most was that it wasn't overly salty like many seafood spots can be. The sides were delicious. The cheese corn was flavorful without feeling heavy, and the Cajun edamame had the perfect kick. Overall, it was a really enjoyable seafood experience. Thank you to the whole team and the other servers as well, Thanks (glasses) server! I will absolutely be coming back for the unlimited ice cream!

This is the spot for loaded oysters! They have a Nola Grilled Oysters Combo where you get a platter of 16 sizzling oysters brought to your table on a hot skillet (4 flavors each). The flavors include buttery lobster, cajun crab, green onions, and elote. The oysters are plump and juicy, and I really enjoyed all of the toppings! I would come back for these! They also have a variety of other seafood dishes. They have different seafood boil options. I got the Stone Crab Combo with stone crab, garlic noodles, corn, sausage, and potato. They give a good amount of crab, but I think the garlic noodles could have been a little more flavorful. I like that the combo already comes with the side items, so you don't have to order them separately like at other seafood boil places. Lobster Rolls are not bad. It comes with two rolls, as well as a side of fries. Come for the oysters! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Pro Tip: if you come during the winter time, they have really nice holiday decor![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place was pretty good. It cost approximately $85 not including tip for one person Option 2 AYCE seafood boil and a soda. If you don't want AYCE they also have menu options. Service was great and the manager was friendly and personable! Restaurant is clean and bathrooms are pretty clean as well. I would've liked if there were sinks in restaurants to wash your hands instead of having to go to the bathroom.

Came here today for happy hour oysters which are $2 each. Unfortunately prices just increased from $1.50, but nonetheless we still wanted to try it out. The oysters were medium sized and very clean! We also ordered the garlic noodles and they were okay, they use spaghetti noodles which I don't really care about..I'd probably not order those again. Service was quick and the ambiance in the restaurant is cute. They were currently decorating for halloween which I thought was festive. Parking is ample in the lot, no problems finding a spot.

One of my new favs spot in Westminster! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was beautiful instead and decorated so nicely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff was great and very friendly. The food came very quick and tasted amazing. I did not expect the cat fish to be HUGE but it fed 4 people plus left leftovers. The drunken noodles was also surprisingly my favorite dish. I loved the variety of sauces and the beautiful presentation

This has been on my bucket list once I found out they had AYCE seafood boil, and that was a year ago. I came for dinner on Wednesday and it was slow. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the vibe of the place. They had decorated for Lunar New Year.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We feasted on the AYCE seafood boil Tier 1 which was $39.99 (includes choice of shrimp, crawfish, black mussels and unlimited sides). The first round we did all three with mild heat (plus sausage and corn in the cob) and for the sides we ordered garlic bread, corn, edamame, Cajun fries and vanilla ice cream (which is also unlimited!). Btw they had us share from one bag which was fine and I was surprised to not have a bib. Everything was good but the shrimp was the best; we had a second round of that. Service was really good and efficient. I already wanna come back for more shrimp

    Razor clams $20.99

Had high hopes for this place but left quite disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Came on a weekend night and the restaurant had only 2-3 tables at the time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We opted for the $1.50 happy hour oysters to start. The oysters were very tiny and in no way fresh. Seems like they reuse the shells and put canned or jarred oysters on it instead. For one, the oyster was off the shell when we got it.. Next we ordered razor clams. Taste was decent be size was small for the cost of $20.99. We later found that two razor clams were stacked to each other to deceive the look of one longer/bigger looking razor clam instead. Proceeded to ask the manager who replied it's just whatever shipment size arrives. There were a total of 5 stacked razor clams. It's definitely pricier than most other restaurants for the quality and quality of it. Finally, we also ordered the seafood bucket which was supposed to include 1/2 a snow crab (it was definitely frozen), 1 lobster tail (tiny and frozen), 1lb shrimp (digestive tract still intact, giving a sandy gritty texture), 2 corns, 2 fist sized potatoes (kid you not by fist sized), 2 pieces of sausage (like really... 2 slices of sausage), 2 sodas, and ice cream (which were never given to us) It's understandable that businesses may not be doing so well in the time and economy, but deceiving paying customers are only gonna make the situation worse. Hopefully this business picks up and have to ability to serve fresher food. And of course without a surprise I ended with diarrhea few hours after my meal here

I've been here once before, but recently took my dad and bro here for my dad's birthday. Its a good size restaurant, nicely decorated and clean. Lots of seafood options. Between 3 people we got the mango squid salad, escargot, ship wreck platter which comes with a variety of grilled seafood and grilled corn, Thai style hot pot, and rice. I did pay $11 for a coconut ice cream coffee and it was worth it to try. I dont know how they make their coffee but I swear it had a slight taste of whisky or Henny but I ain't complaining. I dont usually eat escargot but I was able to eat a few here. Their ship wreck platter was expensive at $80 and their Thai hot pot was $52. I didn't bother to look at prices until after. A lot of the dishes you order here you can get for half the price somewhere else, but I guess it's for the dining experience. With tip, the lavish meal came out to $260 which is high for dining in this area. The prices alone wouldn't keep me away but im not sure if ill come back a lot. Maybe once in awhile. Overall, friendly service and decent food. I might stop by here and there again and try out their creole seafood options.

Impressive service, but the food didn't live up to the price tag. We had dinner here on Sunday at 6:30 pm - plenty of parking since it's in the larger center. A big faux cherry blossom display greeted us, though it felt a bit obstructive. We were seated immediately even without a reservation, but the place got busy as we ate, with most tables filled. We tried the Lobster Garlic Noodles, Lobster Roll with fries, Naked Seafood Combo, and Nola Grilled Oysters Combo. Unfortunately, the pricier dishes disappointed--$104 with tax for Lobster Garlic Noodles was steep, especially since it was overly greasy and the lobster was dry. The Nola Grilled Oysters Combo, at $80, also didn't live up to expectations. Had better elsewhere. The Lobster Roll with fries around $40 was decent, lobster also a bit dry but we still enjoyed it. Overall, Instagram-worthy? Yes. Worth the price? Not really.

Yes make sure to come hungry bc the AYCE has a good amount of options along with non AYCE just in case you can't do all that. The shrimp and crawfish were really good, I got spicy which was very flavorful. I'll be sure to come back for the Happy Hour Wed-Sun which the menu includes oxtail tacos, $1.75 oysters, and street corn, cajun fries and garlic noodles. Will be back for sure.

Wow what a weekend. I was at Destination Seafood House back to back on Sat and then again on Sunday. The waiter recognized me from a visit a few months ago! Now that is service / hospitality excellence! Service was very solid! Saturday we had... - Corn w butter and green onions - Fried salmon belly spring roll (the dipping sauce was amazing, ask for crushed fresh chili too) - Razor clams (a touch pricey, you only get 5) but they were cooked to perfection - Surf clam meat salad - SO GOOD!!! Sunday we had many items off their happy hour priced menu (Mon-Fr 3pm to close, Weekends 3pm to 6pm)... - 12 oysters with sliced lime, lemons and 2 kinds of sauces - OMG the giant clams was so good (but they only give you 3) but each one was so delicious, the dipping sauce is mind blowing - Corn - so delish b/c they use fresh corn not frozen - Blk mussels platter in a garlic lime sauce - DELISH, the tiny mussels are so tender - Shrimp platter in a red garlic type sauce, the shrimps were so fresh, you can even eat the shells, they were filled with head butter - The seafood Cha Gio (came with noodles, lettuce and herbs); we turned the noodles into BUN at the end; literally the best Cha Gio of my life, good big portion, they were kind and refilled our lettuce 2x; the nuoc map with radish and carrot pickles were so good! - These seafood balls stuff with fish roe, with fried basil, and an aioli kind of dipping sauce And they have an abbreviated lunch special menu for $15.99 during the week! I gotta go back and try that too! SEAFOOD HEAVEN!!! _____ The only downer was the Halloween decor, moving witches / ghosts / zombies and the halloween music. It was kind of sensory overload in SEPTEMBER...LOL.

Service was good and there's a decent amount of seating inside with cute little marine themed decor. Lobster roll combo with the soup ($32) - I got the Maine style (cold) lobster roll which had really good flavor and the amount of lobster was really nice. I wish they pushed the lobster down into the roll a little more instead of stacking it on top to make it look fuller because it made it a lot harder to eat. The side salad was okay. I liked the clam chowder a lot. Fries and tater tots were perfectly crispy! Flaming hot lobster fries ($25): This feels a bit overpriced for what it is and kind of lackluster. Fries were good and crispy but the cheese wasn't melted well. Lobster is thrown on there and I think it would be better with cheeto dust versus the random cheetos thrown on top. Fish tacos ($15): You get three tacos which is decent pricing. The fish was crispy and flavor is basic but good. All in all, a good spot to get your lobster roll fix without having to drive too far!

Or maybe they like the cuisine, but for health reasons they've been told to avoid eating it. I know for me I just haven't come around to a lot of Asian cuisines that are focused on high vegetable and low protein content. But to this day Toby and I have never shared a seafood boil together. She has a germaphobe reaction to eating food with her hands and there's no easy way to knife-and-fork stuff like shrimp, crawfish, crab, or lobster. She's offered to get something else like fish n' chips or a plain steak or something, while I get myself a boil. However, one of the joys of boils is digging into a mound of Cajun-flavored seafood together as a group effort. A wondrous temple to the art like Roux Seafood Kitchen would be wasted on her. I couldn't get enough of their shrimp and crawfish. They were both plump, flavorful, and disassembled easy in my hands. At a lb. each, I was more than stuffed at meal's end. I think the only thing that could've made it better is if I had ordered a lobster tail in there. That would've been my ideal order. The service was great here for my party. The drinks were refilled quickly, the food was brought out in an efficient manner, and even the order taking was controlled in what kind of have been haphazard conditions. I liked the ambiance too. The dining room was a spacious and accommodating. The music was low. And the crowds were busy but not super full, which is where I like it. Nobody was on top of each other at neighboring tables and the noise level wasn't drowning. All in all, I think this is the perfect example of a seafood boil joint. The only thing that could've made it better is if my oldest eating buddy (and ex) could've miraculously gotten over her condition and joined me. That's the dream.

I basically break down pho to 3 components: Noodles, broth and veggies. 1) The staff member here asked me if I wanted flat or regular noodles which seems obvious to some - but a lot of people don't know pho can come in an optional noodle shape! And I actually like the flat noodle better! 2) Broth. This stone pot special comes out PIPING HOT. You know the feeling when your noodles and meat come out separately and you ask yourself, is this going to cook before my broth is cold? No worries here. My steaming hot pho was hot hot hot till the last bite. And the broth itself had a really clean flavor profile. Pretty refreshing and different from what I've had! Had a really beefy umami flavor that was accompanied by the welcome temperature consistency. 3) Veggies. They keep it simple here with the selection, but again, the service was awesome. He asked if he could refill the veggies for us and the limes here are on point! Surprisingly hard to find juicy limes with the flavor to set you off on your pho adventure. The veggies were fresh and it's a nice touch to cook the sprouts so you don't end up with undercooked sprouts which tend to be bitter at times. Really chill spot. Nice calm EDM. Good meal to warm you up! And nice wide parking lot.

After my friend and I basically inhaled the entire thing, they brought out the crab roe pasta from their seasonal summer menu. The flavor was so creamy, crab-filled, and delicious!! My friend and I each got our own and we still pretty much licked the plates clean. I would highly recommend trying that dish and I really hope they make it a permanent part of their menu even after summer ends!

TL;DR - burrata caprese & spicy miso carbonara are the dishes to get. Other foods aren't bad but…read morenothing special either. The blackberry lemonade is pretty bomb though. Came to this spot for my wife's birthday dinner. I figured it should be pretty solid since it's owned by KEI (same company that owns Sup Noodle Bar). Overall, all the foods are pretty good, nothing stuck out as absolutely bad but I will say the pork tomahawk, seafood malfadine and mentaiko pizza were the most underwhelming, especially considering some of the hype behind some reviews. To be fair, I'm not a crazy seafood lover so take it with a grain of salt. My father in law loved the mentaiko pizza. The pork was cooked well and tender but the sweet potato puree just was not it for me. Good thing at least my kids liked it. Seafood malfadine was just honestly somewhat bland, especially when you have dishes like the spicy miso carbonara which was my favorite thing there by far. The burrata caprese appetizer was also a complete hit as everyone in my party loved it--my 5, 3, and 1 year old devoured it. Service is very attentive and they made sure to give a small chocolate birthday slice with candle as well to help us celebrate my wife so I appreciated that. There was this blueberry dessert we also ordered that was fire but I forgot to take a pic and don't remember the name Biggest con as to why it would not be a regular spot I would frequent is price-to-worth it ratio is not there for me. Our total for 6 adults, 2 toddlers, and 2 babies was over $500. Now granted we did order lemonade drinks and like 1 too many pastas (had gotten 3 seafood malfadine) but even if I conservatively subtract $100 that's still over $60/adult. So while the food is good, personally I would say it's not good enough at that price point. But nonetheless a good experience!

5-Star Review: Shuck Oyster Bar in Costa Mesa - Absolutely Outstanding Seafood Experience!…read moreI recently visited Shuck Oyster Bar in Costa Mesa (located at 3313 Hyland Ave suite C 21), and wow - it exceeded every expectation! If you're a seafood lover, especially oysters or creative tacos, this place is a must-try. We started with the oysters from Washington - a beautiful variety platter of four different types. Each one was fresher and more incredible than the last, with that perfect briny pop and clean finish. They were absolutely amazing and easily some of the best I've ever had. Then came the tacos, and they stole the show. The lobster tacos were out of this world - on a completely different level! Tender, flavorful lobster with perfect seasoning and toppings that made every bite pure bliss. The fish tacos were excellent - fresh, crispy, and perfectly balanced. And don't sleep on the shrimp tacos either; they were delicious and rounded out an epic trio. The calamari was some of the best I've ever tasted - light, crispy, and not greasy at all. We also got the lobster roll, which was again on another level - generous portions of sweet lobster in a buttery roll that was just heavenly. To top it off, the fish and chips were spot-on: crispy batter, flaky fish, and that classic satisfaction. A great touch was the cucumber-infused water - so refreshing and a nice thoughtful detail. The atmosphere is fantastic: chill vibe, not too noisy, and since we went before noon, it wasn't busy at all - perfect for a relaxed meal. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, Shuck Oyster Bar is now one of my absolute number-one go-to spots in Orange County. I can't wait to come back - probably very soon! If you love oysters, fresh seafood, or just great food in a cool setting, you've gotta try this place. Highly recommend to friends, family, and anyone who appreciates quality seafood. 10/10 - we'll be regulars!

First time visitor Opening parking lot…read more Location can be seen from parking lot but there are 2 entrances Primarily indoor dining and few outdoor spots Reservations seems to be a preference as everyone entering asked if they had a reservation but walk in we're still accommodated Happy hour weekly specials that inside oysters clams and and drinks Bar sitting and some table sitting available as everything is more on the compact side It can get very noisy but everyone was having a upbeat good time 2 flat screens for sports Food wise a little of everything was available from shareable, seafood style dishes like tacos and uni pasta and lobster linguini, along with burgers and sliders both fish and chicken Shucking of oysters or clams is visible at bar top and it would appear the place got busy real quick but was short handed as the servers were doing a bit of everything but also took time to notice patrons were looking for assistance and grabbing orders to run. Also very much chatting with each other and even when making eye contact with servers for assistance was ignored. Food wise order the dozen oyster chef choice, grill cheese, chowder fries, ahi and lobster taco Dozen oyster there were 3 types all on the brinier side with the final ones more brinier than others and accompany with ginger 2 types of chili sauce and pickle red onion Chowder fries a bit on the salty side with some bites but had a nice chowder and fries ratio With little heat from the Fresno chili that were garnished Tacos were served with in a blue corn tortilla, for $6 each on the smaller side like a street taco and flavors wise pretty basic, didn't stand out very much Grill cheese with 4 pieces very buttery toast nice crunch and gooey melty cheeses Overall pretty decent food but wasn't impress with the service and though short handed, there wasn't a sense of urgency to assist, minimal acknowledgment, and wasn't checked back on after food was dropped off as others were being asked around us Also noticed in their food kitchen window as dishes were waiting to be picked up there was a plate of burger and fries and someone from the kitchen twice with barehand taking bunches of fries from a already prepare plate to be delivered. Seemed very odd. Unsure if would return to this establishment.
