They share the same space with Cơm Tấm Sà Bì Chương. I was confused when they gave me 2 different menus. I was craving some chicken and soup so I ordered phở gà.. dark meat with thin noodles. Broth was pipping hot and flavorful. I added a squeeze of lime, cilantro and the herbs in the broth. The ginger fish sauce was good. Can't go wrong making that. They do have competition in the same plaza. I personally think the other Hainan chicken place is better. I wish they gave more of a juicy chicken with chicken skin glistening, but the chicken was pretty okay. read more

We were on our way to Nam An which is a very popular and delicious "chicken" restaurant serving rice, pho, noodles, etc in the same complex until my dad said this new place opened and we should try it to support a new business. While my rice dish was quite good (very flavorful and aromatic rice), I was extremely disappointed that they do not permit customization/requests for chicken meat. I must accept the kind of meat they serve--mix of thigh, wing, must have skin on it. As someone who prefers skinless breast only, I was disappointed. The lack of customization is very disappointing especially at a restaurant that is new. You need to be more flexible when every other restaurant can do the same. Unfortunately while good, I don't think we will Be coming back due to their lack of willingness to customize a little bit. I don't think my request is unreasonable. read more

New chicken pho place in town . Cool name . Small menu and only serve chicken soup with noodles . Three different type of noodles . On the menu are other chicken parts like ovum and rooster testicles . Not adventurous enough to try the testicles but the ovum are good . Ginger garlic fish dipping sauce is strong . Broth is bold . Just the way I like my chicken noodle soup . They're on their second month of opening . Probably can use a soft opening to work on the details of service like house keeping telling waiters to avoid sitting in dining area if they are not on breaks . Tried "Phở Gà 1 Không 2" on Sunday with my wife. Parking is very limited since the lot is shared with other restaurants. Prices are similar to other phở gà places, and the menu mainly offers phở gà and cơm gà. The menu shows a picture of the chicken thigh, but they still charge an extra $1.50. The biggest concern for us was the food quality -- the chicken didn't taste fresh and there were still chicken feathers on the skin. The salad was extremely sour, and the broth was both sweet and salty. The inside is decent, service is okay, and the restroom is clean -- but overall, the food was disappointing. Based on our experience, we weren't satisfied and won't be returning. I've also informed my family not to go, as we feel it's not worth the money. Once and never come back! Just like its name , 1 no 2. The food was ok! Not as good, unique, or authentic as its name "1 without 2" which means no one can beat it. Definitely NOT true though . Don't be scammed by the name! I came in and ordered pho with combination meat and the waitress even confirmed with me that if I wanted a "combination" I said yes. But she brought out wing and breast meat which I already felt dry in my throat looking at those chicken breast meat. I asked why only wing and breast meat, she said if I wanted chicken thigh I had to pay extra $1.50. I said ok. Then she came back and said no more chicken thigh . A few minutes later, 2 guests came in, I heard they ordered 2 thigh chicken pho and the lady took their orders. What the Pho here! Honestly, not sure why they thought it was a good idea to open near the infamous spot com ga nam an, not to offend anyone but their food doesn't compare to theirs. I got the pho ga and the com ga togo and it was prettty disappointing, it lacked a lot of flavor, the sauces for the chicken were mehhh. It surely needs more work. The ambience and staff were nice though but chicken and pho needs more flavor & maybe add more dishes. I'll probably try again in the future but not anytime soon. read more

Never coming back here!!!!! My mom and I decided to give this place a try since it opened not too long ago, but the food quality and portion size were a disappointment. For two bowls plus an extra side of gizzard, the total came out to be 47$. The meat itself is a mix of wings, legs, and breast, and we got nothing but bones and that much meat. Also, they did not have basil, which is surprising, considering how basil is a staple in pho. The soup was also very bland, and honestly, there are plenty of better pho ga places to go to. We thought to give this new place a trial. It's a little disappointed. The noodle and soup are below par. The chicken meat was dried due to possibly reheat before serving. The sauce was excellent. Comparing to Pho Nic or Ghien miếng Gà, it's inferior. Even Pho ga Annam is better. I hope that they would change the recipe. Even though this is a pho spot, the cháo gà is seriously underrated. It was absolutely delicious. I think they use broken rice and lightly fry it first, which gives it a really aromatic depth. It was a bit nostalgic and reminded me how my mom used to make Chao. On the soup side rather than thick which I like. The nước mắm gừng was especially appetizing--almost like a ginger-ale-style nước mắm. Very different from any version I've tried before. read more

I came here this morning as my usual pho joint was blocked due to the tet festival. Seemed pretty modern and clean, prices were about middle of the road and so I ordered a pho tai with sach requesting the tai be left raw on the side. The server came back a few minutes later and advised that the kitchen said they could not leave the tai on the side. I asked why and he really didn't have a reason so I begrudgingly agreed and waited patiently. After a few minutes the server brought out a mid sized bowl and the overly cooked beef round caught my eye right away. It dawned on me that the reason they could not put the raw beef in the side is they had cooked it previously. This was probably done as the meat was no longer fresh. In my 50 years of life eating pho I had never not finished a bowl of pho today. This restaurant has earned that dubious honor. Save your time, money and stomach. read more

I wanted to like this place, but they made us pay before we eat. The inside smelled like dead animals or issues with plumbing/restroom. It was hard to enjoy our meal with the stench. The utensils (chopsticks/spoons) under the table were all gone at the table we were sitting. So we had to grab our own from another. The price is way too high for the amount of portion. Came to this place on the opening week. - The broth was good to me. It's better than other 'pho ga' places. I loved it. - I couldn't order white chicken meat. It comes with dark meat only. - I had to separate the bone/ skin/ and meat. By the time the separation was done, pho became cool off. It'd affected to the taste. Be careful with this place! They automatically add gratuity on your bill. We went here to eat on Tuesday 2/3/26. One bowl of chicken congee and one bowl of chicken pho. Each cost $14.99, tax was $2.77. They ran my friend card for $42.63. We eat here quite often and NEVER notice. The only reason this time I noticed was because there's only two of us and I asked my friend for the total so, that I can put the correct cash amount for tip. They added $9.83 for gratuity automatically. When I asked the lady she pretended she doesn't know what I am talking about. I demanded for the recipe of the charges. I told her we will contact the credit card to dispute the charges if she doesn't reimbursed the gratuity on my friend credit card. She ended up doing it. What an unbelievable experience! read more

Ate here a couple days ago with my wife. I was excited to try this place since my wife and I love chicken pho. However, the excitement soon turned into disappointment. I wonder if the owner of the restaurant did market research in the area before opening this place. There are many good chicken pho restaurants in the area and they shouldn't open this place unless they think they can compete. Here was my experience. Chicken broth was salty, not "Thanh" or sweet at all. Chicken was bland, no flavor at all. They don't allow you to pick chicken breast, legs, or wings. You have to get everything. They don't separate the skin for you also! The fish sauce was bad also. Not tasty at all. Overall, this is probably the worst chicken pho place I have ever been to. I will not be returning as well as not recommending this place to anyone. They really have to change the cook and the menu if they want to survive in Little Saigon. Good luck.! read more

Phở gà is not as bad as others stated. The chicken is tasty. I guess it's just a difference style. I wouldn't say it didn't taste good. It's still good but it's just we are used to the other restaurants' pho aroma. For Cơm gà, i think it's good but i was hoping they put more ginger into the fish sauce dipping. The chicken itself is tasty, and the rice is as good. It's not bad just can't beat the next door cơm gà because the ginger sauce is not as tasty. Cơm ga is judged by the rice and the ginger sauce. We ordered both pho ga and com ga. The chicken looked as they were cooked the day before and then served for today; so pale. The rice was quite dried. Not so appealing and tasty. Good luck to them as I won't return. read more
