It had a Filipino sausage called longanisa which is slightly sweet, hash Brown, egg, cheese, garlic mayo, and banana ketchup (which is a popular Filipino condiment). As it came with a side of potatoes it was a very filling dish best shared. I also tried the lychee panacotta which was also delicious. It sat in a bowl of chia pudding with granola and fruit. The juice from the lychee may have slightly sweetened the pudding which was a nice surprise. The service was friendly and easy to get assistance. I have been to 8th Haus about 4 times now. The first time I ate here, in 2023, I really enjoyed the food and the selection. However, each subsequent time, the overall vibe of eating here has gotten worse, with my final visit being the last straw. I felt like their cleanliness and service deteriorated over time. This most recent visit (it was several few months ago now), my boyfriend and I were seated by the window. After we put in our orders, we saw this HUGE ASS COCKROACH crawling on the window and basically edging onto our table. We got an employee's attention and let them know about the cockroach, and the employee basically just grabbed a napkin and snatched it, and I got the vibe that he was used to it lmao. Then he walked away. Another server asked us if we wanted to move to a different table and obviously we did. I feel like at that point I should've walked out but we had already put our orders in and I didn't really want to make a scene. It was hard to finish our food tbh just because of what we'd seen. We also paid full price =_= I have never asked to be comped at a restaurant in my entire life, but I felt like they should have offered to cover our drinks or something because we both got coffee. Very solid, delicious Filipino inspired brunch spot (even though I actually don't really get the inspired ones). It's pretty tasty and the portions leave you full. The wait can be long on the weekend but they had a few spots open during the weekday. When you ask for an item they will give it to you but a few of the tables aren't set/ready for food. The condiments are on the table if you need. I love that the food has flowers in it, it's so pretty. The plating and colors are also lovely and the food tastes very fresh. Went on a Sunday morning and the place was pretty busy, which was a good sign. The restaurant is fairly small, but luckily we were seated right away. I ordered the Bulgogi Benedict and Tiramisu Latte. Both came out pretty quickly. One thing that stood out immediately was their presentation. Everything was nicely presented and colorful.The Benedict was good, and I really enjoyed the kimchi! It added a nice flavor to the dish. My only complaint was that I wish there had been more beef. The Tiramisu Latte was also solid. It wasn't overly sweet, which I personally prefer, and had a nice coffee flavor without being too heavy. Overall, not a bad spot for brunch. This place is a hidden gem down the street from Knott's Berry Farms and let me tell you, it is EXCELLENT. It is a bit smaller with only a few tables and there was a slight wait, but that was not a problem for us. The wait staff were very friendly and courteous. So some of us did have to park over by the grocery store (it's still in the same parking lot) thankfully, our friend got there before us and checked in. Just tried this hot spot out over the weekend! Get there early and put your name in, plan on waiting a while! There aren't many tables so the wait time is high. They take your number down and call you when your table is ready, so make sure you aren't far or they will give your table away. It's a cozy little spot and the service was fast. They're very friendly and give great recommendations. The menu here is pretty small but definitely mighty! For drinks, we ordered the cookie butter latte and the coquito latte. They were iced, and sweet. I love sweet coffees so it was right up my alley. My husband found it a little too sweet for him, but I really enjoyed them. He did say he preferred the cookie butter latte over the two we had. Food: we ordered chilaquiles with an over easy egg and longiza on the side. It's green sauce has some spice to it so if you're like me and can't really handle spice, maybe skip on this one. We also ordered the banana biscoff pancakes. I don't think the bananas were cooked into then pancakes (it didn't taste like it anyway) they were just served on the side. The pancakes were a little crumbly but they were delicious. We ended up ordering the following though. The LAVENDER LEMONADE was refreshing and balanced, floral without being overpowering. The HORCHATA leaned creamy and lightly spiced, easy to drink without being overly sweet. The COOKIE BUTTER was rich and dessert leaning, but still balanced enough to finish without feeling heavy. The CHILAQUILES were pretty good. Definitely would've been better if someone I know added meat. :P The UBE WAFFLE was also good. The ube flavor could've been richer, and a bit more crisp on the outside would've helped. The batter could've also been mixed a little better to avoid pockets of dry, unmixed flour. The chopped macadamias tasted a bit stale, no bueno. And lastly, the BULGOGI BENNY was worth the wait. This popped up in my search for a decent brunch in the area, and for the most part I was not disappointed. Located in a charmless shopping center, the small space is decorated to give a breezy cafe vibe without looking too much like an instagram photo op (no neon signs, thank goodness). Expect to wait during peak times since there aren't many tables, and I'm assuming they have a small kitchen because the food is very slow to come out. We had: bulgogi benedict, socal benedict, the breakfast sandwich, crème brûlée french toast, the basic scrambled eggs with toast (added 2 slices of bacon for $4) and coffee. Everything was fresh and tasty, and the plating was a nice touch as well. I was fine with the longer wait, but we were served the food before utensils and then our server went to help other tables - by the time we had utensils and napkins, our eggs were cold. I don't know if this is intentional to encourage customers to take a pic of the nicely decorated plate while they're waiting to eat it, but I'll admit it worked on me (gotta love an edible flower!). My other nitpick was that the berries for the french toast were smushed into a lump of butter, which was clearly a plating design choice but not an ideal flavor combo. Also they only have Smuckers syrup, which is not something I'd expect to see outside of a Denny's. It had chunky flavorful pieces of mushrooms which paired nicely with the bacon. We also ordered the crème brûlée french toast but that was very problematic. I was annoyed that only the top piece of french toast was crème brûléed; the bottom piece was just regular french toast. Not a fan of that dish at all but after taking 2 bites, I noticed there was a long hair in my food. I called the waitress over and her initial reaction was to minimize the situation by saying it was probably just a "food fiber". But when she actually looked she was like "oh yeah that's a hair". They offered to remake it but I refused because when I looked around, none of the staff were wearing hair nets (including the cook). After that, the staff got really weird. This is the perfect brunch spot, the items aren't too heavy and they even have the perfect sweet items. The matcha pancake with custard was the perfect amount of sweet, it wasn't overwhelming. The SoCal Benedict had a classic Benedict taste! And finally, the red velvet waffles were also very good.
