I had a rather unpleasant experience at this location. We passed through the orange circle to get some coffee and dessert in the evening and the line wasn't terrible when we arrived. There were maybe 3 people in front of us. I ordered a honey lavender latte and a peanut butter pie dessert to share. My friend ordered a vanilla latte. They gave us the pie at the counter and our numbers for the table. About 20 minutes pass and my friend goes to check in on the lattes. They said they were a little backed up but I sincerely believe they forgot our lattes. About 5 minutes later, my latte makes it to the table, but not my friend's. We wait another 5-10 minutes and she cancels the order because we were limited on time, and at that point we had to leave. I didn't finish my coffee and had to leave it because it arrived so late. We didn't order food so it was so surprising that two lattes took a half hour. Actually one because the other one never made it out. Whenever I'm in Orange, I try to make my way to Urth. If not to eat a meal, I at least get their Blended Green Tea Boba. Love love love it! That's the only drink I get there. I've tried a few others, but nothing compares. The service is great and the place is spacious and loud (a bonus that it is kid-friendly). I was in the mood for pizza and my favorite pizza of theirs has to be their Wild Mushroom Pizza. Hands down, the best option here. All the flavors blend together nicely. We were here mid-Easter morning. Urth is a cool-vibe place and, remarkably, had plenty of seating given the number of people who were there. The line went quickly and the cashiers had excellent knowledge of the offerings. I ordered the D'Lox toast , which was very good. Plenty of lox and fixings. I wasn't a fan of the English buckwheat toast crust, but enjoyed the bread itself (I'd never tried this type of bread before, and was raised to try everything once, so no regrets). The Spanish Latte is one of the specialties. It was really satisfying and whatever the mystery ingredient is kept me guessing and interested. My husband had the dark house coffee, which he really liked, and the sausage and potato omelette and accompanying salad was a hit. I asked one of the staff for coffee bean recommendations. He suggested the house dark for my husband, the house light, for my son, and another type for a friend when I told him their preferences. He really listened. We returned today and I had a killer mushroom omelette. I had a cup of the house light, which, if you like light coffee, is very good. I went back to Urth Café for brunch today for the first time after a long while. This location is at the Orange Circle in old town Orange. There is lots of parking near and around the restaurant but it is a very busy area. So, you may have to park on one of the adjacent streets. The restaurant is in a historical building that dates back to the 1800's. The interior has an industrial charm and Victorian elegance like most buildings in that part of town. The interior has High ceilings, exposed brick walls, artisan tilework, and wrought iron accents. There is lots of indoor seating as well as outdoor sidewalk seating with market umbrellas. I Love the big Island with high chairs where you sit around the island top fire pit. It is a cozy, and social friendly arrangement. The restaurant is loud and vibrant creating a warm, bustling atmosphere. As you arrive, you are most likely to find a line. You must place your order first, grab your number and your order will be delivered to your table. They have a pamphlet menu. The Menu is extensive with sandwiches, salads, soups, plates, egg dishes, pancakes, french toasts and so much more. They also have lots of coffee, tea and other beverage options. I recommend that you grab one of the menus and decide on what to order while waiting in line so, that you do not hold up the line or feel rushed when it is your turn. Today everyone in my party ordered the same dish. We got the mushroom omelette. As far as I could tell. It had mushrooms in it, cheese and onions. On the side, we got hash brown and two slices of French baguette with butter. It also comes with a salad, but it really, is just one Leaf of lettuce and one slice of tomato. In other words, not much of a salad at all. It looks more like a garnish than a salad. The omelette was pretty good. The hash brown came in the form of two potato cakes and were OK. We wanted them crispy, but they tasted more like boiled potatoes. For beverage, I got the café pistachio, which is sort of a pistachio latte. It was really good. Just lightly sweet. Just the way that I like it. In conclusion. The food was good minus my hash brown. I enjoyed my coffee and everyone liked their dishes. The space is beautiful and has a good energy to it. I can't believe I've never been here, my hairdresser is right around the corner. Their menu is quite extensive. I waited in a fairly long line to order, but it moved quickly. The girl at the register was helpful with choice of matcha drinks. I ordered the roasted veggie omelette. (5/5) . The combo of the flavors were amazing. Definitely will reorder. The suggested Aloha Matcha was a hit, by the way their servings are very generous. My gf ordered the tomato and burrata salad- the tomatoes didn't look ripe, but she liked it. I came on a early Sunday afternoon. The line was out the door. It took about 20 minutes or more for me to order; however once I ordered my food was out within 10 minutes. I sat outside reading my book catching a lil vibe. I ordered the large iced green rose latte which was EXCELLENT. Maybe it's just me but it kinda tastes like fruity pebbles. I loved itttttt. I ordered the huevos rancheros plate with over medium easy. Delicious. I ordered the flourless chocolate cake. It was delicious and I want to top it with raspberries when I get home. My daughter found this cafe from TikTok videos. We went and enjoyed our time there. Be ready to pay for parking. The cafe was very nice. Although we chose their outside seating, the inside is big and has a lot of seating around. There is an area where you can set in the window out front toward the street but there were people sitting outside at the tables. We would be staring right in their faces which would be awkward! It was busy which to us is a good sign that people like the restaurant. I love this Urth location because it's great as a cafe and as a restaurant space. If you just want to eat, you order at the register, and they bring you your food. A lot of people use it as a study space like a cafe. Lots of students and people studying and working. I like this spot because it's open later than most cafes and has lots of seating but still has a cozy feel with the big fire in the middle of the room. Some of the food and drinks are on the pricier side. The chicken soup seemed a bit expensive for the portion size. It was tasty, though, and good for a sick or cold day. Comes with bread and butter at no extra cost. If you're not lucky enough to get street parking next to the place, there's a free parking structure that's at most a 5 minute walk away. As one of my favorite brunch places ever, you really can't go wrong here. I got the panini roasted turkey and honey vanilla latte (hot, less sweet, oat milk) The panini roasted turkey was very satisfying and I liked the focaccia. It was a good change from my usual panini el diablo or prosciutto di parma. The honey vanilla latte is perfect for those who have a sweet tooth. I got it less sweet, and it was still very sweet. But very yummy! Service is pretty standard, except one waiter who was a little bit snippy but otherwise fine. It took a long time to arrive, and the quality just wasn't up to par: the dough was undercooked, too oily, and frankly, not that tasty. Of the various Urth Caffés I have visited in the greater LA/OC area, this one is definitely my least favorite. Though it certainly has all of the menu items that are offered at the other Urth Caffés, this location, at least in terms of atmosphere, is just not very good. Combine this with the fact that there is generally a very long line to get service here, particularly on the weekends, it just makes for not a great dining experience. This café is located right in the Orange Circle. So, for anybody who's been to this area you will understand that there is tons of traffic that are driving in this area pretty much all of the time. So, you're quite often disturbed by loud motorcycles and/or cars zooming by. And, of course, the frequent honking of horns. In terms of seating, this café mostly revolves around their outdoor seating. They have one small patio to the side of the restaurant. The problem with this location is that there's a cigar shop just to the side of this business. Thus, if you're sitting in this area it's not uncommon that you're really gonna be smelling the scent of people sitting in front of that business while smoking their cigars. Which, I personally find, very obtrusive. The other main seating area is along the street. Here, they have their tables stuffed in tightly together. I'm sorry, but it makes eating here very uncomfortable. I mean, not only are you right next to all of the traffic, with crowds of people constantly walking by, but you're stuffed in with all the other people who are eating at this establishment. Overall, if you want what Urth Caffé has to offer, you can certainly get it here. You can get it, if you don't mind waiting in a long line to order, and then sitting in a very stuffed and noisy environment. read more

On the weekends this may be tough due to people saving seats for larger parties or just general business due timing. If you're sitting outside you're at the mercy or the weather and how many times the fire trucks or classic cars zoom by. The service is fair and prompt. Enjoyed this Urth Caffe location! Highly recommend ordering ahead of time via the website for pick-up. Parking was a bit difficult since it's located on a busy street, there is a garage a couple blocks away that I recommend parking at. Their prosciutto, vegan pizza is soooo delicious, I would happily order on the daily if my wallet could afford it. Service at the pick-up counter was thoughtful, I appreciated that they were prompt with their delivery time based on the estimation in the email. Other than that, the sandwich wasn't bad and tasted pretty healthy. Went to Urth in Orange this past week and it was definitely delicious. The location is so charming, as it is on the corner of Glassell and Chapman. Perfect for getting a bite and spending the day shopping in Old Town or enjoying the fountain area. Urth is VERY popular, so expect a bite of a wait on the weekends. The style of service is counter walk up, order, and then food is brought to your table. Drinks like specialty coffees and the kitchen are made separately from each other so they can come out at different times. I've been a few times and the wait time is always different, but if you know that going in, it can be a great time to catch up in conversation with friends and family. I had the Honey Latte and the avocado toast with a poached egg on top. Another commenter mentioned that the avocado toast is small and ai would have to agree. However with the added egg it was filling. It was delicious, the bread was ah-mazing. The Honey Latte was the perfect balance of sweetness and coffee. A shining moment for me was that the cashier/order taker was really patient with me as I was ordering and made sure to mention all the add ons I could get like the egg on my avocado toast. It helped me feel less overwhelmed, especially since the menu is so expansive! For Avon toast it was pricey, but for the whole dining experience and service, well worth the money.
