Read reviews hoping for a better experience. Ordered classic breakfast and a burrito. Eggs ordered over medium, definitely not. Super runny and undercooked. Only offer soft drinks in bottles. Food came out barely warm. Fruit was the best item. Clean, friendly staff. No check in, or ask how meal is going.

I love coming here. There are both indoor and outdoor patio seating. It's clean and servers are friendly and attentive. We were a party of 10 and they offered to take our orders at the table instead of ordering at the counter. The server was also willing to do individual checks! That was really accommodating. There is a wide selection of menu items. It's been fun to try something different each time. My Short Rib Omelette was very tasty and flavorful. It was a good sized meal. I couldn't even finish it. My iced lavender latte was perfect. It hit the spot. A great place for brunch but make sure you come early. It gets crowded.

This is a nice restaurant at the end of a strip mall setting. It has plenty of parking, easy to get to. Has an outdoor seating area attached with a nice open feel to it. It is a walk up to order place. The service was fine. The food good. I had the breakfast tacos and the garnish was fresh and the tomatillo sauce flavorful. It was average on cost about 20$ per order with a coffee. I like sit down dining with more service. It was clean and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Came here by a friend's recommendation as my husband and I were meeting up with them. For what it's worth, I like the ordering system where you go up to the counter to order before finding a seat since it made it much easier to split our bill. For the price, they give you a good amount of food. I got the egg scramble with ham and cheddar cheese. It came with toast (my husband picked sourdough for me) that was buttered and had a bit of jam on the side. It also had hash browns. The food was delicious and filling. My husband got a breakfast burrito in which he forgot sometimes he isn't a fan of them because they overload with potatoes, but he said he really enjoyed this one. Considering I'm also pregnant in my first trimester, I was so glad they had milk to help with my calcium intake. All in all, I would definitely come back here given the chance. (I'm from the Bay Area in Northern California so visiting regularly isn't quite feasible.)

Food, service, our the best. I have never ordered anything that wasn't delicious and perfect. Great egg dishes and burritos. Presseco is cherry on top.

Fast casual brunch spot with pretty good food and service. Parking is easy if you utilize the BevMo side of the plaza. Nice patio seating where you can bring your dog Food/Drink- 4.5 stars Everything was pretty solid. Food was excellent. Drinks were fresh -pork chop with pomegranate sauce- pretty good and you can taste the higher quality of ingredients. Cooked perfectly -pancakes with ricotta and blueberries- this was good, but it would've been better if they mixed the ricotta into the batter -strawberry lemonade- freshly squeezed, delicious and not too sweet -matcha strawberry latte- this was ok. It tasted like the Costco matcha powder with strawberry jam thrown in Service- 4.5 stars Food came out pretty quickly. They did seem a bit understaffed at the tables, as you had to fetch a server for any drinks. And there were a good amount of tables that were unavailable since there weren't enough bussers to clean out the tables to accommodate the weekend rush Bottom Line Really solid brunch spot that I'll be visiting on the regular

This is a casual brunch spot where you order at the counter and grab your own seat. It gets pretty busy, so definitely try to come early. Breakfast Burrito - Even though I'm not usually a burrito person, this one surprised me in a good way. It was packed with flavor and had everything you'd want in a solid breakfast bite: chorizo, sausage, bacon, eggs, tomato pico, hash browns, white cheddar, aioli, and salsa roja. Really satisfying. Chilaquiles Verde - This was my first time trying chilaquiles, and unfortunately it just wasn't for me. The sauce leaned too sour, and the chips were already soggy. In hindsight, I probably should've asked for the sauce on the side so the chips could've stayed crunchy. Omelette - Simple but good. The bread that came with it wasn't crispy which loses some points. Tuna Melt - Tasty overall, though a bit greasy. Definitely very filling. Overall, a solid brunch spot with some hits and a few misses depending on what you order.

I have finally made it to Poached. I've heard good things about this place but for me it didn't live up to the hype. I'm a type of person who doesn't like to go to restaurants where I can make better food at home, but I really wanted to give this place a try. Me and my husband went here on New Year's Eve and the place was very busy. We came here for lunchtime and when we got there, we were greeted right away and they told us where to sit. We ordered the chicken and waffles and the Smashburger and fries. The fried chicken was too dry. However, the waffles were really good. The Smashburger was just OK too. I honestly thought that the cheese had a weird texture, almost like plastic. The fries were just OK too, it wasn't anything special. I came here again. I wouldn't get this for sure. I really like that they had the sink outside so you can wash your hands and not have to wait for the restroom. Overall, this is a cute place and I might come back if the hubs want to.

I had an excellent breakfast here with my wife yesterday. We went on a weekday, so please consider that for this review! Pros: + Food came out fast! + They offer salad as a side instead of hash browns with no up charge. That alone is HIGHKEY! + Parking was easy + Service on the floor was friendly and attentive +Indoor and outdoor seating + Portion size was great for the scrambles and accommodations can be made for food sensitivities + Easy to eat here if on Keto + Fresh fruit was really good Cons: - It's a walk up to order counter. This is a personal con, you might like that option, but I would rather be served and have a second to sit down at a table and look at the menu. - Seating was not that comfortable unless you were on a padded chair inside. My wife is pregnant so she's sensitive to comfort lately. Booths inside and outside are wooden, and outside the chairs are metal (which makes sense weather/ware-wise, just not comfort-wise). - The guy at the order counter was obviously new. Not a "con" necessarily, but overall didn't give us the above-and-beyond experience that would lend itself to a 5-star review. Asking for our toast "dark and dry" seemed to really throw him off. Overall, we would come back. Great for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Good for solo meals or groups.

We've been here a couple of times. Service is quick as you order and go find a seat. The restaurant is big and bright. I've loved everything I've had each time. This time I had the lemon ricotta blueberry pancakes. So so good!!

Smash burger and fries -- both were only OK
    Patrick ..

Bottom Line Up Front: Poached Kitchen has everything you would want in a cool breakfast spot, from the menu and decor to the service and aesthetics -- everything except the delicious food. The Food: Let me explain. It's not bad. But it's not as delicious as I had hoped, given the premium prices. My wife and I ordered the chicken and waffles, smash burger with fries, and a side of bacon. The chicken was lightly breaded when I prefer it to be crispy while the meat was pretty dry. It was average at best. My wife's burger was OK; again, not bad but nothing to write home about. The fries lacked the seasoning and crispness that I expect from an American-style diner. Sadly, the bacon wasn't crispy at all and a little on the chewy side. The only thing that was genuinely delicious was the waffles -- light, airy, and just a hint of sweetness. The Service: The entire staff was fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. Excellent training by the management. The Overvalued Setup: Another reason for my good-but-not-great rating is that this is a fast-casual restaurant. You walk up and order at the front counter like a fast-food joint but you wait to be seated and they bring the dishes out to you. However, you don't get a dedicated server so no one will attend to you and you'll need to flag someone down for help. Nothing wrong with that, per se ... except that the meal prices are as high as sit-down full-service restaurants. The Location: It's located at the corner of Imperial Highway and Santa Ana Canyon Road, tucked inside a shopping complex with a poorly designed parking lot. (It's beside the Bev Mo.) Parking can be difficult to find during peak hours. Inside, the place is clean and well organized, with comfortable chairs. The bathroom has a shared sink space in the open, while individual toilets are behind fully closed doors. That's a convenient set up if you just want to wash your hands. The Conclusion: I really wanted to love this place but was disappointed by the average-tasting food sold for above average prices in a fast-casual setting -- definitely less bang for the buck. Will I try it again? Possibly, to try the other menu items in hopes this was just an off day for the cook.

Came here around 10 on a weekday and it wasn't super crowded. You order your food and then sit down at a table. I got the Birria Omelette with fries and sourdough. You can choose your choice of potatoes or bread. Bread and fries were okay but that omelette was not it. The vegetables and meat in the omelette wasn't incorporated into the eggs so everything fell apart when you cut into it. Not great to eat and the ingredients didn't work well together. I also got the Strawberry Matcha. Not very strong flavors. Tasted like milk and strawberry extract. All of that came out to be $28 which is definitely not worth it. Also, they have a rewards app but when I tried to scan the code they said they didn't have a scanner and it's only for to go orders... Why would you have a rewards app and not be able to scan it in stores? Wouldn't recommend this place. 2 stars for the good service though!

There's plenty of parking. The wait isn't too bad. You can't join ahead on Yelp. When your table is ready, you get in line to order your food then you can sit down at your assigned table. The food was decent but nothing I would go out of my way to come back for especially when there's so many options for brunch. That's just my opinion. I got the eggs benedict with hashbrown and a mimosa. The hashbrown tasted plain to me. I ended up eating it with tobasco and I never eat tobasco but the hash browns just needed something. I got the petite salad for $5 and you actually get a lot with it!

Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Great food certainly matters, but it was the exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and positive energy of the staff that made the evening truly memorable. It made for such a relaxing dining experience, even if it occasionally puts the next reservation a little behind. We sampled quite a bit of the menu--the mushroom risotto, short rib, carpaccio crudo, lamb, pork belly, shrimp, lobster bisque, French onion soup, and the watermelon salad. Everything was delicious overall. My favorite was, hands down, the watermelon salad--so refreshing with incredible flavor combinations. The lobster bisque was delicious and may have even edged out the French onion soup but the flaky puff pastry on the French onion was perfect for dipping into the yummy broth. The only dish that fell a little short for me was the shrimp, which I felt could have used a bit more seasoning. The servers were wonderful, the atmosphere was cozy and intimate, and I'd absolutely recommend giving The Wild Artichoke a try. It's a special little spot and a true gem for the area.

The ribeye was especially impressive, and the price was more than reasonable for the quality and portion size. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and genuinely seemed to care that customers had a good experience. The restaurant itself deserves a mention too. It appears to have been recently remodeled or updated. The booths, paint, decorations, and overall atmosphere were clean, fresh, and well thought out. It has that classic diner feel without feeling dated. Good food, fair prices, great staff, and a very nice dining room. Whoever put this place together did a great job. I'll definitely be stopping back the next time I'm in town.

I have ordered the house burrito and they did not put bacon or sausage only ham inside. Be careful when you order in the drive-thru. The menu prices say $13 for example for a plate but it is not accurate. It is actually $2-3 more and is false advertising. When the lady tells you the price it's so much higher even with the tax I always have other peoples food in my food mixed. Example: tomato slices, ends of sausage or bell pepper, and a hair The drinks have been watered down for over a year. The syrup needs to be changed and less ice. Also no carbonation. When you get the receipt of overpaying you can't even see a breakdown of what you ordered, just a big grand total This does not seem legal at all. Incorrect menu prices, overcharging, then not giving you a breakdown just a higher total. Seems really shady to me and the food is honestly plain bland. I'll never return here sadly. I'll have to go somewhere else in the area where they show you the charges and are on top of things. Please do better
