We had a Friday Night Reservation, but arrived an hour early and they did a great job getting us a table.. The Staff from when we walked in the door were "Super Friendly" and that was cool.. We ordered an ice tea and a peach whisky drink.. The whisky drink was actually quite tasty.. For Dinner we had The Hanger Steak Dinner Special ($50) Which was a hanger steak with chimichurri, asparagus, garlic risotto. We also ordered the Barbecue Glazed Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf, Roasted Vegetables, Mashed Potatoes, and a Cheese Toast.. ($25) When they both arrived one plate hat more food for half the price.. The hanger steak was cooked to order (medium rare) and was tender. However it was very underwhelming in flavor even with the chimichurri on it. Especially for it being $50.. The risotto was the best thing on the plate as it was packed with flavor. That shouldn't have been the star on the plate. I tasted the meatloaf and it was so much better.. The meatloaf was awesome and the sides were great all together.. I was so jealous, as I am a huge steak person and was more impressed with the meatloaf.. The server was awesome and very attentive. As soon as you walk in, the energy at Reunion is welcoming and inviting. The space is large enough that everyone can enjoy their own conversations without feeling like the entire room can hear you. The music was at a good volume--enough background noise to create a nice atmosphere while still allowing for easy conversation. The food was delicious, and the portions are truly shareable! Tuna Melt: Delicious! You can choose between a side of potatoes, salad, or fries. I went with the fries, and they were great. Poke Salad: My friend said it was delicious. It had a nice spicy kick, but it was still really good. Thai Pasta: To me, it gave Asian chicken salad vibes--but with spaghetti. It was definitely unique and tasty! My cousins and I visited for dinner after a long moving day. They have multiple locations, and I've been to the Santa Barbara location for brunch, so this is my first time visiting for dinner. Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza. Finding a parking spot during rush hour will be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a large space with lots of indoor seating and some outdoor seating. The inside is incredibly dark. Since my cousin brought her dog, we dined outside. They had a few umbrellas, but since the sun was setting, it didn't do much. It was very busy, so the wait time to dine inside was over 30 min. Since we opted to dine outside, we were luckily seated immediately. Service: I didn't catch his name, but thank you to the host who seated us immediately. He was really nice. Shout out to our server Elise for being quick and attentive. She checked on us a few times and refilled our waters. Throughput took under 20 min after ordering. Food & drinks: I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken and Dad's Mai Tai. The entree included baked & fried chicken thighs, drenched with hot honey Nashville sauce, and served with mac & cheese, green beans, and a biscuit on the side. The sauce was sweet and had a slight spicy kick to it. It made the chicken even more delicious. The mac & cheese was creamy, and the green beans were seasoned well. The biscuit was dry, and the butter didn't really help. I like sweet cocktails, but the Dad's Mai Tai was too sweet for me. The maybe extra shots of rum would've been sufficient. Still the best! I brought my friend whose new to the area here for dinner on a busy Thursday night. Was so fun! World cup playing on all the tv's. Food and service were fantastic, per usual. We both loved the stuffed jalapeño appetizer which does pack some heat when it's all done. I loved my Prime Flat Iron Steak -- cooked medium; it was tender, a lil salty for a couple bites, but otherwise perfectly seasoned. Asparagus was great as well. And the mash potatoes with blue cheese topping were outstanding. My friend loved her short rib, vegetables and mashed potatoes. She had the sauce on the side, suspecting it might be sweet, but it was not. She loved it all. We both had takeout containers because the portions were ample. The vibe is always on point, great music, comfortable seating, and a menu that actually keeps things interesting. The Brunch MVP: You cannot go wrong with the King's Hawaiian French Toast. It's an absolute staple for me. Small Plates to Share: Deviled Eggs: These are a must. They don't skimp on the filling, and that bit of bacon adds the perfect crunch. Jalapeño Poppers: The pairing with raspberry jam is genius, that sweet and spicy combo is honestly mouthwatering. The Drinks: My husband is a huge fan of their Bloody Mary. It's heavily garnished with a bacon-wrapped jalapeño popper and finished with a Tajin rim it's practically a meal in itself. They are also one of the few spots offering bottomless mimosas, which is always a plus. Room for Improvement: While I love the bottomless option, I do wish they would just leave a bottle of champagne at the table. What other better place to celebrate our friend reunion at a place called "Reunion"? ;) We were looking for a good brunch place to try out and found this place near Corona. Parking: I had no problem finding parking spot as the lot is huge and shared with many other businesses. Interior: We were seated right away without any wait time as we arrived when they just opened. We were seated in a dark area of the restaurant (think bar vibe) so I was a little not sure at first. Most brunch places I went to were always filled with sunlight and bright colorful interiors. This place embraced a classic, quiet feel, something like a Steak House would have. Service: Our server's name was Susan I believe, who was nice and attentive through the whole meal, despite the crowd slowly built up and filled the restaurant. She never failed to check back on us, not just once but twice and refilled our water. She probably isn't as familiar with the brunch menu favorites but seem to know more about the Main menu. The General Manager came out and greeted us because most of their customers are regulars and it's uncommon to have first timers like us visiting. This nice hospitality made us feel very warmly welcomed and impressed. Food: I couldn't decide whether to go with the Slow braised beef on the brunch menu (braised beef benedict) or the main menu but ended up going with the Main menu to get a good portion size. It was a perfect choice because the beef is just amazing. It was cooked to a soft perfection, well seasoned, the roasted vegetable was also cooked just right and not super raw/ crunchy like other places. Then the star of the show arrived - the butter cake. As Susan suggested, this is their most popular dessert and I can see why. The butter cake comes piping hot with the ice cream on top. There's a nice sugar crunchy feel near the bottom of the cake. It's so delicious that I want to come back just to eat this cake. We had a great time overall and would love to come back. read more

Looking for a last minute date night spot in the area and we landed on Reunion. Getting a reservation was a breeze. The menu was extensive and really has something for everybody. The asian crispy ribs were amazing and we also enjoyed the coconut shrimp. I never order the specials but I made an exception and ordered the steak entree. I ordered it medium rare and that's exactly what I got. It was delicious. Our server was great and she was so quick that we began to feel bad about asking for more time between appetizers and entrees. Love, Love, Love Reunion! It is our go to place for life's moments: contemplation's when purchasing our home, a full day of work and child rearing challenges, a MBA graduation, sadness when our youngest son left for bootcamp, to a 60th birthday surprise from him for my husband. Today, I brought my husband for Father's Day. We arrived earlier than usual to a whole row of open seats at the bar. I grabbed seats while my husband parked the car. Derrick was our bartender. I ordered my husband usual- Captain Morgan and Coke with a lime, no straw. Honestly, I stumbled on my words as I recalled my husband's cocktail of choice to which I received an eye roll from Derrick. I felt bad for not easily remembering something so typical and for frustrating Derrick. I hadn't decided what I wanted so I waited....after my husband joined me I finally settled on a cocktail. Derrick was clearly the only one at the bar - much compassion. However, we waited for 10 minutes while Derrick chatted at the other side of the bar with regulars. How do we know they are regulars? Well, because we are too..... The wait wasn't the problem as much as Derricks response when we finally got his attention. My husband politely agreed with Derrick we had been waiting while he was on the other side of the bar, to which Derrick replied arrogantly, "I was on this side of the bar for a while too!". My thought.....excuse me sir, we have only ordered one cocktail - no appetizers, no questions, no conversation. What did you spend your time on our side of the bar doing? (And with such attitude) We did ask who would be joining him at 5 PM to assist with orders. Steve would - thank goodness! As predicted.....service resumed back to its usual. We did let Steve know there was an issue. Of course, Steve made sure everyone at the bar was tended to in his normal Steve jovial manner. Service with Derrick started to get better also. Management needs to know the potential to Go south REAL QUICK in their staff. Without a doubt, the restaurant industry can be competitive and challenging, similar to healthcare.
