What other better place to celebrate our friend reunion at a place called "Reunion"? ;) We were looking for a good brunch place to try out and found this place near Corona. Parking: I had no problem finding parking spot as the lot is huge and shared with many other businesses. Interior: We were seated right away without any wait time as we arrived when they just opened. We were seated in a dark area of the restaurant (think bar vibe) so I was a little not sure at first. Most brunch places I went to were always filled with sunlight and bright colorful interiors. This place embraced a classic, quiet feel, something like a Steak House would have. Service: Our server's name was Susan I believe, who was nice and attentive through the whole meal, despite the crowd slowly built up and filled the restaurant. She never failed to check back on us, not just once but twice and refilled our water. She probably isn't as familiar with the brunch menu favorites but seem to know more about the Main menu. The General Manager came out and greeted us because most of their customers are regulars and it's uncommon to have first timers like us visiting. This nice hospitality made us feel very warmly welcomed and impressed. Food: I couldn't decide whether to go with the Slow braised beef on the brunch menu (braised beef benedict) or the main menu but ended up going with the Main menu to get a good portion size. It was a perfect choice because the beef is just amazing. It was cooked to a soft perfection, well seasoned, the roasted vegetable was also cooked just right and not super raw/ crunchy like other places. Then the star of the show arrived - the butter cake. As Susan suggested, this is their most popular dessert and I can see why. The butter cake comes piping hot with the ice cream on top. There's a nice sugar crunchy feel near the bottom of the cake. It's so delicious that I want to come back just to eat this cake. We had a great time overall and would love to come back. read more

Had a lower than subpar experience here. 2 things that were wrong: service & taste of food. On service: Someone in our group has a gluten allergy and clearly ordered the gluten free version of a dish, while another person ordered the regular version. The waitress delivered the gluten free plate to the wrong person and, when asked to confirm, incorrectly stated that it was the regular version. Luckily the friend with the gluten allergy didn't receive the plate yet as they are still making the second one. This is a serious problem... Gluten allergies are NOT a preference, and misidentifying a dish after being asked to confirm shows a lack of attention to a basic safety issue! They would have given my friend the regular dish had she not adamantly call out the waitress due to noticing the bread was different. Moving on, I ordered the salad and added chicken as a protein. Everyone got their food at this point and I waited an additional 10 mins before asking for the status of my salad. She apologized and didn't explain much but said it's coming out. 10 mins past still no salad. another person said it's coming out and obviously she had forgot to put in the order. So when I called her out on it, I said did you just forget to put in the order and she just apologized. When it finally came out, there was no chicken and when asked she had a confused look on her face. So I said I ordered chicken extra as a protein, u even repeated it when I place the order. So unacceptable. Food: The food was just OK. The quinoa salad was sooo oily that defeated the purpose of even ordering a salad for a healthier option. I took it to go bc it was just so bleh and the container was soooo drenched with oil. French onion soup was good but heavy& oily like typical. Brussels sprouts were ok, oily again. For a party of 10 with a total of $540 , you'd think the service would be at least decent. I'd never would come back to the place. Food is subpar and service is abysmal. read more

Looking for a last minute date night spot in the area and we landed on Reunion. Getting a reservation was a breeze. The menu was extensive and really has something for everybody. The asian crispy ribs were amazing and we also enjoyed the coconut shrimp. I never order the specials but I made an exception and ordered the steak entree. I ordered it medium rare and that's exactly what I got. It was delicious. Our server was great and she was so quick that we began to feel bad about asking for more time between appetizers and entrees. Initially sad to learn their brunch is only on the weekend. We stopped by on the way back home specifically because of the brunch recommendation on yelp but unfortunately not available on weekdays. The customer service was good. The atmosphere was lively, and active. It's located next door to the popular comedy club so it's always a steady but busy crowd. Personally, I did not enjoy the burger bc it felt too soggy and the bun didn't seem like it was toasted so it fell apart while eating. The salad was ok but also had a weird aftertaste in the dressing. My friend and I did not have a reservation and were seated in the furthest table in the back. It was a weird feeling bc it felt mildly punitive even though there were a number of other options available. It was nice to have a heater lamp for the day we went bc it was cold outside. We go back to Reunion over and over again because their dishes are AMAZINGLY tasty! I especially like their Brussels sprouts. Theirs is even better than the one I had at the Biltmore Hotel. I went with two friends for a glass of wine and some small bites after a long day of holiday shopping--and it was a perfect experience. They have a great wine list--pricy of course but we split a $100 bottle. The three of us shared three appetizers and were full and satisfied after. We kept asking our waitress what the different items on the charcuterie board were--she didn't know but was more than happy to ask, and she returned promptly with the answer despite how busy they were. Since this is the only real vibey spot in A.H., they're always busy. On average, the wait is no longer than 15 minutes. Parking in the center isn't the best but it's manageable. For the entree, I had Rosemary's chicken and biscuits, which is similar to chicken fried steak but instead of beef, it was chicken . It was absolutely delicious. It was crunchy and full of flavor. Met with my mom and sister here; it was a beautiful day and they have a nice patio with umbrellas and heat lamps. Unfortunately, there were no tables available outside, but they had plenty of tables next to windows so that was really nice too. The left side of the restaurant is a little darker and a little more noise. The bar is large and a comfortable place to sit if you're dining solo. I forget the name of our waiter but he was super friendly and very attentive. We always had full waters and drinks and he cleared old plates out of the way in a prompt manner. I loved the poppers and the prime rib sandwich the most. The meat was super tender and cut nicely. The bread on the sandwiches is really delicious. The poppers were fresh and nice ratio of filling to jalapeno and the bacon was tasty. My sister loved her cocktail so much she ordered two. I also enjoyed the beet salad a lot. I'd definitely order again. Dressing was good and light, a nice healthy option that had a lot of flavor. At the end of our meal we were brought some hot steamy towels to wipe our hands. Great touch. So simple but sets them apart and makes the experience memorable. Parking is free, but busy at lunchtime since there's a lot of other shops in the same center. They were able to split our check to our party size which made things so easy! We ordered drinks and a variety of entrees, namely: french toast, florentine benedict, short rib benedict, nashville hot, bruleed oatmeal, butter cake. French Toast- Custardy with nice crisp edges. It was the right amount of sweetness and paired well with syrup. I ordered a side of bacon to go with it and was given an ample amount. Florentine Benedict- Creamy and loaded with a good amount of spinach. The flavors worked well together and it was served with a side of fruit. Short Rib Benedict- This was perfectly meaty and fun to eat! Served on biscuits and topped with crunchy onions which was a lovely twist. The short rib was seasoned well and tender. Nashville Hot- The chicken was crispy with the right amount of heat, seasoning, and sweetness! Served with creamy mac and cheese and green beans. Bruleed Oatmeal- It felt like eating dessert without the guilt. The oatmeal was nice and fluffy. It was topped generously with a variety of fruit and finished with caramelized sugar.
