Hidden Gem! We were looking for a place to have good breakfast and orange cafe bistro has a lot of good reviews so we went check it out. I was surprised to find this place hidden in orange. Lots of menus. Big portions. Emilio is our server and i can see how hard he works, he was fast and very friendly and respectful. This place is a little outside our normal flight plan, but it's a favorite. It's such a cute little place and everyone is always friendly. There is a server that is here on the weekends who is the best server I've ever seen. The place will be packed and she handles it all alone. She takes your order promptly, your coffee is always full, and she does it with a smile. On this visit I had the strawberry cheesecake stuffed French toast and the hubs had the Orange Cafe breakfast. Great breakfast experience! From the moment I walked in, the manager was exceptionally nice and welcoming. He even poured my coffee right after I sat down--something you don't see as often these days, and such a nice touch. Shortly after, Isaac took my order. I had already done my Yelp research and thought I knew exactly what I wanted, but he offered a few suggestions that sounded so good I actually went back to the reviews and started questioning my decision! In the end, I stuck with my original choice: pancakes, bacon, eggs, and Irish potatoes instead of hash browns. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is really cute inside and was busy, but it never felt overly noisy, rushed, or frantic. The servers were calm, friendly, and genuinely engaged with their tables, which made the whole experience even better. I'm not sure I've been to a restaurant that serves imitation crab for crab cakes. Feels kinda wrong. And these "crab" cakes came out not as hot as I expected. This was the perfect family post-graduation brunch! We heard about this place recently, that it's one of the best brunches in Orange and it lived up to the hype! I love that it's a hidden gem tucked away in a small shopping center. It's a small but quaint spot with both indoor and outdoor (limited) seating. Emilio our server was wonderful, the food was delicious and the portions were great. Especially awesome that you can choose a pancake with your omelette as your choice of bread! Because everyone always wants a side of just one pancake with their breakfast, literally perfect, and included in the price (epic)! The chicken was juicy and had a nice crisp when bit into. As far as the breakfast burritos and turkey melt; the eggs could've used some more seasoning and the portion of eggs and hash browns was overwhelming compared to the protein portion. The salsa for the burritos had mixed reviews. The turkey melt was ok, could also use some side sauce and thankfully our server recommended mixing some sauces and came out so good! I got the Meat Lovers Omelette with a side of potato salad and pancakes. Omelette was not the best. It was kind of wet and would break apart when I cut into it. 3/5 Potato Salad was fine. Same kind of quality you would get from the grocery store. Pancakes were the highlight of the meal. Delicious! 5/5 Kind of pricy for the food and it was alright. Also water had a very weird taste. There are a number of seats inside as well as some tables outside covered by an orange awning. The menu has so much variety from a variety of breakfast dishes to burgers, sandwiches, and salads. They also have a kids menu with a Panda Face Pancake - cute! We ordered the 2 pancake combo, the crab cake benedict, and the Creme Brulee French Toast. Everything was soo good! The pancakes were fluffy and delicious just the way I like it. The french toast came with a yummy custard sauce with that candied crunchy sugar crust. The crab cakes were equally delightful, with a crispy crab cake and perfectly poached eggs, covered in plenty of yummy hollandiase sauce. Service was great, our server was upbeat and friendly. It was a huge size, smothered in delicious sausage gravy. The hash browns were made to my liking, crispy! It also came with 2 eggs (I chose poached) and a side of bread, I chose a pancake. It was a meal big enough for two, but it was so delicious, I ate almost all. To top it off, the customer service was wonderful. My waitress was very charming and attentive. We were greeted and sat down by a wonderful young man named Emilio, He got us coffee right away and made sure we knew that our food might take little longer since they were at capacity.
