Went to an event nearby and we were hungry for some brunch. My bf and I found this place on a whim and were pleasantly surprised with the many selections to choose from the menu. Of course I wanted to try two items and the lovely lady at the front told me about the 1/2 panini 1/2 soup/salad option! I had 1/2 of the Pesto, Egg, & Turkey Panini with 1/2 of serving of the Chinese Chicken Salad. My bf got a full Pesto, egg, turkey panini with a Kuppa Joe coffee. I guess we are simple couple but we swear this was the best panini we've had! The salad was fresh and the serving was more than enough that my bf was very happy to help me finish it up. Definitely worth every penny even if they were very wallet friendly. The ambiance was also lovely. Not to judge the area, but from a strip mall location I didn't expect for this place to utilize their space this well and make it so clean and restaurant-like. I came here sort of to kill some time and I figured might as well get a coffee and sit in this nice cafe to do so. I can't speak about their food because I didn't get any but it looks like they have a good array of options. I got an iced vanilla caffe latte. I will say like it was good but it was a little sweeter than I expected and definitely a strong coffee. Which is not bad, but I think maybe I should have stated my preference! The person who took my order was very friendly and prompt. She made my drink quickly too. The area itself is nice. Really great seating and it feels very open. And I liked the music they were playing. I will say for some reason when I was there like around 3:30 PM they opened the doors of the cafe and started cleaning and such. It almost felt like they were closing but I knew they closed later than that so I wasn't sure. The only reason I'm giving this place 4 stars is because the panini was amazing!!!! I got the bulgogi panini which was so good but they hardly put any meat in but still really good! I also tried the southwest panini and the chipotle aioli in it was everything! Amazing amazing paninis! Now to the disappointing part. The iced Americano was way over extracted I ended up throwing it away. The Cesar salad was also a let down for me. read more

We came here early morning right when they opened since we happened to be in the area. Upon entrance, it was like a warm hug from the crisp 55 degree weather outside. I often place catering orders for business relationships, and when I opened the food to set up for the meeting, it smelled incredible. Everyone kept raving about it. Naturally, I had to come in myself after the meeting and wow, the food is phenomenal. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad and it was hands down the best Chinese chicken salad I have ever had. I also ordered the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The focaccia bread is amazing, crunchy on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside. The manager, Minh, went out of her way to come say hi and was so sweet. The ambiance feels like an old-school cafe, but the food absolutely speaks for itself. My fiance and I have visited this coffee house a few times when we spent some time out in Orange, CA. The shop is very styled and welcoming. The lady at the register is a sweetheart and is always courteous to her customers needs. The coffee is very delicious and that goes same for the food. So far we have had the grilled cheese, the Chipotle chicken sandwich, and the pesto chicken sandwich. The sandwiches on the panini bread tastes so good. I would give 0 stars if I could. Being accused I got my correct order when I didn't. I paid for 2 of the same meals. Both with 2 extra dressings and both with extra wontons that I paid for. Meaning I was charged $4 extra for the dressings on top of the 1 each I'm supposed to receive for each meal that means a total of 6 dressings and I was only given 3 total. I paid $1 each for the total of 4 bags of wontons since 1 is already given with the meal and only receiving 2. The guy who "bagged" my order says I'm wrong and didn't want to put the manager on the phone. I come here almost once a week- twice a week and order the same exact thing and never had this horrible experience. The owners need to stay working the front house because their workers think they're doing it right when they are not and blame the customer that the order is correct. Horrible customer service. Make sure you check your orders before leaving, especially if the owners are not working and bagging your orders up. Kaffa is one of many eating places located across the street from St. Joseph's and CHOC hospitals . . . meaning you don't have to restrict yourself to eating at hospital cafeterias. And a short walk away from the hospital is a nice break from all that goes on inside the hospital. As the name says, they serve up coffee and offer a menu of breakfast and lunch selections. Their Chinese chicken salad was highly recommended to us by a nurse at St. Joseph's. I chose the half sandwich/half salad combo, with the Chinese chicken salad and a lemon zest albacore tuna panini. It was delicious! The salad was loaded with lots of tasty ingredients and tossed with their savory Chinese sesame dressing. I was skeptical about the bready panini and what appeared to be a skimpy serving of tuna . . . BUT, it was so yummy--the bread had a buttery crunchy crust that complimented the tasty tuna salad filling. My sister had a smoked salmon on bagel, which she said was really good. Location is in a busy parking lot, hard to find parking. Inside are several tables and a small coffee bar area with a few tall chairs to sit. There are some nice pieces of artwork on the wall.
