It did not look like anyone went into any of the stores, but when I walked into ape coffee it was really busy in a good way. The girl at the counter was nice and all of the baristas were busy consistently. It was a little tight in there at times with the amount of people, but there's seating if you get a spot. No monkey business, just good vibes at Ape Coffee! Went totally bananas for their "golden ape" coffee this morning. What a treat! Perfectly bold brewed coffee infused with their own banana syrup. So good! What I love about their coffee is that it's not too sweet, too bitter, or too strong. It's perfectly blended to keep you coming back for more. We stopped by to grab some coffee while waiting for our cars to be washed, and were surprised at how busy it was. It's a small but happening place! And I can see why. Tried this cafe for the first time and it didn't disappoint! The only thing that threw me off was the ordering setup, the menu is on an iPad right at the counter, and you can't see the prices until you're placing your order. I tried the Monkey Business and it was really good. Service was pretty minimal, nothing rude, just the bare minimum. The ambiance is nice though, with a few tables if you want to sit and get some work done, plus a restroom for customers which is always a plus. read more

Long-time fan here. Every latte I've ordered has been consistently good, but my go-to favorites are the Monkey Business and the Tiramisu Latte. Tried this place randomly during the day! I got the banana coffee and the banana matcha. The coffee tasted good and the matcha was just okay. I got extra matcha because the original matcha is super light and weak (my friend got the normal version). It still just tasted okay i would't get it again tbh. The banana foam is good but it's not super delicious to come back for. I think i would try another coffee drink with a regular foam instead to give it another try. Truly going bananas over Ape Coffee. My team and I visited after a nearby event to grab a caffeine buzz. The space is small, but they maximize every foot with comfortable seating. I ordered the Snow Monkey which was fluffy, sugary, and full of deliciousness. This brown sugar latte is topped with sweet cream and cinnamon brown sugar. It's practically dessert in a cup. A good strong matcha will always get 5 stars from me! I got an unsweetened matcha latte with almond milk and it was exactly what I needed for a mid day pick me up. Strong matcha flavor, deep green color, and not too milky. They also put the perfect amount of ice in the drink, as when I kept drinking it, it didn't taste diluted. It's dimly lit and simple with some seating and merchandise brand items for purchase. Free WiFi from the Ape, himself. Fun themed. I tried their Monkey Business latte (7/10) with banana foam and a splash of cinnamon. I feel like the latte part was not to my liking but the foam and cinnamon flavor was good. I had their bacon quiche that was fabulous (10/10) - packed with cheese, egg, bacon and a kick of green chilies. I got mine warmed and it was delicious! Second time is a charm, the first time was not a success coz the coffee i want to order only comes in cold so i left empty handed. But since my co- worker highly recommend this coffee shop, i went and ordered flat white with lavender and it was good. I guess their specialty coffee are all iced and im a hot coffee drinker. They served lots of sandwiches and pastries too, I wished they served some of the cold drinks hot as well. The shop is nicely decorated and they are always packed with costumers. Friendly staff. We Yelped what was close to Irvine Park since we were going hiking that morning and needed a quick bite and coffee to power up. Ended up at Ape Coffee and glad we tried it! My bf went with a latte and egg sandwich, and I ordered their famous Cloud Ape with avocado toast. Coffee was really good, but the avocado toast had way too much lime, super tangy, not really the way I like it. This place is definitely popular. The line was long and finding a seat or table was tricky, but we got lucky. I liked the overall vibe and especially the music playing in the background, it gave the spot some extra character. If you're coming here to do some work, know that there's only a couple tables but wifi is pretty good. Between their two seasonal drinks--sunset ape and midnight ape--I'd say midnight ape is the winner. It has a much stronger taste from the blueberry milk than the strawberry. The matcha cream is delicious. The monkey business is probably their signature drink but I gravitated back to the midnight ape because I'm not a big banana flavor person and the espresso/banana combo was a little light for me. read more

They had some delicious looking food items like Gorilla Toast, banana bread, egg salad sandwiches, and kouign amanns. Aside from your typical coffee options (capps, mochas, espressos) using their line of Ape Coffee, they also have different types of matcha lattes made with strawberry, blueberry, etc. I ordered the Incredible Ape matcha latte as they said it was their best seller. It was delicious. Strong matcha flavor with an essence of banana. My husband ordered an americano. He's a dark roast type of black coffee drinker and sadly, it did not do it for him. We also ordered an Oreo Matcha cookie and a Pistachio Matcha croissant. Both were okay. They were green and cool for photos but they didn't taste freshly baked, especially for the price we paid. Service was good. I think because it was a Monday, the line wasn't long at all. We waited a bit for our drinks though. Even for an Americano. Come for the matcha lattes for sure. read more

Parking is a little hard because it's in a small plaza. The ambience inside is really cool! It's dark, but still well-lit. Seating is limited.
