Oh my goodness!!!! This was the BEST CAKE EVER. I wanted a strawberry cake like their individual ones for after my daughter's dance recital (strawberry is her favorite). I was just planning to buy a few individual ones since it was the day before I needed it but the woman I spoke with said I could order a 6 inch for $32 which would feed 6-8 people. PERFECT! I was honestly a little skeptical since I ordered it the day before, but it was AMAZING. The pick up was so easy and it was boxed up well. They also gave me a little serving knife which was great. The cake was absolutely beautiful and most importantly it was delicious!! So light and fluffy and had an incredible amount of strawberry flavor without being too overly sweet. This bakery is so cute and very affordable. It's rare you see coffee and quality baked goods under $5!! My family thought their coffees were good but needed the extra shot added for $0.50, and the pastries are great! I loved the fruit tart, and we are definitely coming back to order the cakes next time! All the cakes range from $30-40, and they looked delectable. Love this bakery and it's so close to home. I discovered this establishment while I was in the plaza getting a manicure. They have so many amazing special treats and coffees, teas etc etc. There is indoor dining area if you choose to enjoy your dessert there. There is ample parking and staff here is always wonderful. Bottom Line Up Front: If you're craving premium desserts, and willing to pay premium prices, Choco will satisfy your sweet tooth. Food: I've been here a few times but this review will focus on the 3 things I order last: chocolate roll cake, Dubai cheesecake, vanilla latte. I'm not big into roll cakes but tried the chocolate version based on the cashier's recommendation (she said it's one of the most popular). It was soft and moist, and while I was in love with it, I think roll cake fans will be impressed. The Dubai cheesecake was delicious! The outer chocolate layer was thick and tasty while the inner cheesecake was firm and creamy. It didn't have a tremendous amount of pistachios or filo (essential ingredients in Dubai chocolate), but still just enough to qualify as Middle Eastern inspired. Last but not least, the vanilla latte was a solid coffee. The barista went out of her way to make it with condensed milk because I mentioned my Dad (who drank it) preferred Vietnamese iced coffee. Not quite the same, but their drink was still satisfying, according to my Dad. The Setting: The store is neat, clean, and nicely organized. It's not the biggest, so don't expect to find space if you come with a large party to hang out. Most people order to go, but it could serve as a nice place to study or a cozy hangout for a couple. The Drawbacks: Oddly, they had an empty drink dispensing machine sitting on top of a counter beside the guest tables; that space could have been used to house things like more napkins, sugar packets, utensils, condiments, etc. Also, the day we went, the espresso machine was down, so I couldn't order any drinks that I wanted. And then biggest drawback are the prices. Everything has a "luxury tax" in the sense that you're paying anywhere from 50 cents to $2 more for an item simply because this shop is in a nice neighborhood of Anaheim Hills. Go to a bakery in Fullerton, Orange, or West Anaheim and the prices will be lower and more affordable for the same desserts. The Service: Fortunately, the two employees were incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Truly A+ customer service! The Conclusion: If you want a wide variety of desserts and drinks, and you're willing to pay a premium for them, then Choco will deliver the goods. read more

No matter which side of the Orange County or Riverside County line, there is no place I'd rather soothe my sweet tooth than at a Choco Bakery. I had no idea there were two locations until recently, but I can assure you that I have eyes for no other bakery in my area. The other location is in nearby Corona. Its a real struggle not to overindulge, but my personal favorite happens to be the mini cake they call a chocolate truffle cake. Anyone who knows anything about a serious chocolate addiction would understand why. This is chocolate x3, on steroids! A thin layer of chocolate cake, topped with a thick dense chocolate filling and an equally dense ganache. There is a cream cheese element as well that makes this a perfectly mind-boggling dessert. I can not keep my paws off it. Their key lime tarts are wonderful, a less sweet version with a buttery graham cracker crust. I love their varieties of baklava. Adorable bakery and beautiful pastries! There are a few tables and they serve coffee and other drinks inside. There was an array of pastries to choose from, like cream puffs and crème brûlée, but the tiramisu cake stuck out to me. The cake looks very presentable and the sweetness is on point. We absolutely love this bakery and come here all the time -- it's one of our favorite spots! But we were really disappointed to find they had closed early on Halloween night. If they're going to close earlier than their normal hours, it would be great if they could post it somewhere (even just a quick note on the door or a social media post). Unfortunately, with more compacts spaces, I saw a couple inconsiderate drivers whom parked their cars taking up two spaces. First time (but planning to come back again), Choco Bakery is a feast to both the eyes and taste buds. We were immediately greeted as we entered. The interior is very welcoming and quaint with dim lightings. There are four small tables. The table comfortably seats two people. Even the napkin/trash-bin counter is nicely organized and decorated. The glass displays an ample varieties of cakes, tarts, rolls, cookies, cupcakes and other decadent pastries - like baklavas. We ordered: - Flaky-layered Napoleon cake with whipped vanilla cream fillings. It was light and delicious. - Chocolate Roll - Very good, but much sweeter than I thought. - Coffee Cake - It was more crumbly than expected. Very dense and was okay. And here's the kicker: after making me wait, the girl at the register had the audacity to apologize to the customer behind me for their wait. Ma'am, I was also waiting. I guess my time--and presence--didn't matter. I hesitate to throw around heavy words, but let's call it what it felt like: racially charged microaggressions. This place sits in a predominantly white area, and it shows. I've seen how they treat customers who look like me--dismissive, cold, like we're a problem just for walking in. And trust, it's not a one-time mistake; it's a pattern. And it needs to stop. Choco Bakery, do better. I love Choco Bakery and want them to stay around forever but today's experience was less than stellar. We came in to purchase a birthday cake which we had called about the day before. The service was fine but they had just opened and were setting up, there was an insect flying around the pastries that were being stocked into the front glass counters. And the girl that was helping us swatted a big fly with her hand only to have the fly land on a new tray of fruit tarts and camped there the whole time she was preparing our items.
