Muffins and Pastries

I love this place. I try to not come too many times a week but the bagels are outstanding and the cream cheese is amazing too. Every time I come in they greet me by name because they care about their patrons. If you haven't tried or been wanting too I suggest now is the time for a visit.

I was in the mood for a bagel sandwich and decided to try the newest bagel shop in town. As soon as I entered the shop I was warmly welcomed by the employees. I told them I was a first timer and they offered to answer any questions and let me know that they serve breakfast all day. Although it was past noon, they still had a good selection of bagels and muffins to choose from. I ordered the bagelwich omelet and also got a half dozen bagels to take home to the fam. I took the whole order to go, but the sandwich was still warm and toasty when I got home. Made on a spinach Parmesan bagel with eggs, ham, provolone, spinach, and mushrooms, it hit the spot! I ended up having one of the bagels for a late afternoon treat and I loved how the bagel was soft and fluffy while the outside had just the right amount of crunch. SO GOOD! And did I mention they are huge??? Way more than snack-size, but that didn't stop me from eating the whole thing :) Anyway, while I waited for my order to be prepared I sat in their dining area. They have a pretty spacious dining room for a bagel shop and they also have a couple of tables outside for dining al fresco. I'm looking forward to coming back for more of their amazing bagels!!

Finally tried our new neighborhood bagelry. I got there before 9am and over half the bagels were gone! Must be popular. I got the spinach Asiago with tuna salad, breakfast sandwich with sausage on an everything bagel and an Asiago with cream cheese. We all loved it!! The staff is supper attentive and nice. The place is spacious and clean. I'd definitely come back to try other bagels.

Honestly! I am always a little scared to try new spots at first but love the thrill and adventure. I stopped by 5th Ave Bagels in Yorba Linda on a rainy morning and it completely brightened my day! The service was genuinely superb! It was warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful from the moment I walked in. I ordered the salmon bagel sandwich with capers and sprouts, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything tasted fresh and perfectly balanced. You can tell they take pride in their ingredients. I also tried their oat milk sugar-free latte, and wow... surprisingly good! Smooth, flavorful, and made just right. Between the tasty food and outstanding service, this place really impressed me. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area! 5 stars, good vibes!

By far the best bagel place in Yorba Linda. Excellent selections and wonderful customer service. The green mung bean with coconut cream smoothie is an absolute delight! I highly recommend this cute bagel location and support small buisness which provides outstanding service. This will be my new regular location for bfast !!

Everyone is very excited about this new neighborhood bagel place that just opened. The service was very friendly. They have bagels, smoothies, and freshly squeezed juice. I don't think they sell cream cheese by itself, only on the side in an individual sized container. They also have Vietnamese coffee, even though it's not on the menu. If you're in the area, definitely come check this place out!

I got the number one (lox) even though it was $13 because it looked so good in the pictures. The total was over $15 so I checked the receipt and they overcharged me. Even though it's only a dollar it makes me want to come here less. If I do come back I will try one of the egg sandwiches since I don't think the $15 item was worth it. I did REALLY like the alfalfa sprouts on it (rare these days) and all the ingredients were super fresh including the tomato and fish. The bagel was perfectly toasted too. The ambiance was lacking something inside so I ate outside and watched the gardeners work. I can't tell you what's wrong with the dining area; it just doesn't seem like a place to hang out.

Saw that they are doing soft opening and wanted to give it a try. I got the turkey bacon on Asaigo spinach bagel with no veggie, and it was so good! The bagel is crunchy on the outside and soft and slightly chewy on the inside, their turkey meat is also very delicious where it is not salty which complement the bacon very well! They also gave fresh squeezed orange juice which is very delicious (sweet and sour), very refreshing to wash down the bagel. Have variety of coffee selection. The cashier was extremely friendly and the facility is clean. Come here if you have a bagel or croissant craving, you won't be disappointed! ( forgot to take pic because the bagel was that good! )

Inside: Order at the Counter - great service!

Recently discovered 5th Ave Bagelry (located in the Wise Guys Pizzeria Plaza off of Yorba Linda Blvd). They have great selection of bagels, sandwiches and drinks. We ordered a 1/2 dozen bagels with cream cheese and a few of their breakfast bagel sandwiches. They were SO good we came back on the weekend to get more! Owner and staff are super nice and provide great service!

You order at a kiosk, take a number, and go sit at a table (indoors or out) where your food will be delivered. We initially attempted to order at the counter but were ignored so we did the kiosk routine. I went with a prosciutto panini and a hot vanilla latte. The latte was average but good. The same could be said of the panini which, aside from the prosciutto, included arugula, garlic aioli, tomato, and mozzarella (it usually comes with roasted bell pepper but I asked to leave that ingredient off). The sandwich came with a pedestrian house salad; some greens with four grape tomatoes and a balsamic dressing. There is a huge free parking structure across the street which makes coming here easy. Overall, everything lacked flavor, although I will say the red salsa served with the chips was delicious. My friend ordered the avocado toast, but it was basically just a slice of bread with sliced avocado--no seasoning, condiments, or anything to make it stand out. The small garden salad was equally underwhelming, consisting of only romaine lettuce and cherry tomatoes with no dressing or even a drizzle of olive oil. I ordered the Eggs Benedict, but they were more like open-faced boiled eggs since the yolks were completely hard instead of runny. The café de olla had a nice flavor, but it was much sweeter than expected. I think it would be better if they served it unsweetened (or lightly sweetened) and let customers adjust the sugar to their own taste. I really wanted to enjoy this place because the ambiance is so charming, but the food just didn't live up to the experience.

In both cases they were unable to prepare the food well. Last week I had eggs Benedict and the egg yolks were solid and The English muffin was not really toasted and was cold. I sent the Benedict back but Asked to keep the rest of the food because I was hungry. The girl ignored my Request, Took my entire plate and did not return with the other food on it. I literally waited 10 minutes for them to redo the eggs while my partner finished his breakfast and I had nothing to eat. The Hollandaise sauce was Very Good, but ham on the Benedict was incredibly thin. I've had many eggs Benedict and this was unusual to offer A slice of ham comparable to a thin deli slice. My partner's omelette Was quite Brown but had good veggies in it. His hashbrowns were barely cooked. Today We both ordered a veggie omelette with chicken in my partner's. I made it very clear that my veggie omelette should not be Brown (= overcooked) . The girl read Back our order and she wrote My request very clearly. What arrived at our table was quite a shock! My omelette was definitely Brown and my partner's omelette was dark Brown. My brown omelette had chicken (his order) and his omelette was actually my order and dark brown! I've never seen an omelette served that was that overcooked! How could they possibly ignore the instructions and mixed them up? Add to this that his toast was burnt. Really? You can't prepare Toast properly? When I brought it to their attention one of the girls she said I could see how you might think that as I showed her the burnt toast. She said we have already put everything away in the kitchen and so I don't know that we can do anything about it. We said it would be fine if it's an English muffin but, something that's not burnt. She disappeared into the kitchen for quite a while. Eventually when she resurfaced she brought the unevenly toasted bread, (But not burnt) and proceeded to tell us the following: " If you would get here earlier (We arrived 40 min before closing) we could serve you better" ( I later realized Those must be words from the owner). So if I arrive earlier my food wont be overcooked?Or if I arrive earlier they Have time to correct their mistakes? I knew the kitchen closes at 1:40. Waiting at the counter To ask about soup, I stood for 5 + minutes watching 5 employees move about. Finally I was able to ask and waited another minute or so while she went to go to the Back to ask. Now in line to order the man before me was trying to order (before 1:40) a vegan omelette. The girl said it was too late. He explained he had driven all the way from Riverside and it was still within the timeframe to order. She went back into the kitchen and a woman came out. (the owner? ) . The woman proceeded to chastise the young man for coming in late and trying to order a vegan omelette. She told him he'd done this before and he should get here earlier. He explained that he had not actually ordered but had tried. She said several times that she would make an exception this time but it can't happen again. And she continued to chastise him. Who treats their customers like this? .I literally watched the minutes tick by, wondering if I'd make it before the cutoff. More people entered. . Ah oh, do they know about the cutoff in 1 minute?? The girl behind the counter announced that no more orders would be taken after 1:45. Aw, they were being generous by allowing five more minutes to order. But there's no way these people could get their order in within the next five minutes. Will they say, too late, After they've been waiting in Line? Why not say instead, our kitchen is closing but we will be happy to take your orders. And why not hang a sign on the door that says the kitchen is closed at 1:40 But still accommodate diners's needs? The omelette tasted good but the experience was so negative, Such unkindness, Completely lacking in hospitality.

Brunch is a must here!…read more My partner and I visited Popping Talk Cafe and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Norwegian Benedict which has a poached egg, smoked salmon, spinach on an English muffin with butter and hollandaise sauce. Classic eggs benny and I liked the flavor of the hollandaise class. I love that the poached eggs are made perfectly and it mixes well with the smoked salmon. It's a standard eggs benny which really hit the spot. We also got the Popping Yolk Burger which has Angus Beef, Sunny Side Up Egg, Grilled Mushroom, Cheddar and Honey Mustard Sauce. This is a a messy dish, but it's well worth it for the soft pillowy buns and juicy Angus beef patty. I love that the sunny side egg breaks open to blend with the cheese and sauce. Each of the dishes were served with the classic home potatoes that are super crispy; they have a golden-brown exterior and fluffy, pillowy interior. They are cut into thick, rustic chunks, heavily seasoned with a savory herb blend. The potatoes are well-seasoned and highly addictive! We also got the Cinnamon Apple French Toast. This is deep-fried and coated with cinnamon sugar. It is then drizzled with maple syrup and topped with apple and apple jam. This tastes like fall in every bite. I love that it's fully coated with cinnamon sugar and the apple jam is warm too. It's an overall delicious dish! For our beverages, we got the Potted Plant Latte which is a playful, themed espresso that looks like a sprout growing in a potted plant. It's smooth creamy and subtly sweet from the cookies-and-cream topping. We also got the Osmanthus Oolong Tea served hot. This is highly fragrant and elegant. It blends traditional Taiwanese oolong tea leaves with real Osmanthus blossoms. The person at the counter that took our order was very friendly and he gave recommendations on what item we should get. We got our drinks first, and went to sit down. Love the sunshine that streams into the restaurant and the ambiance of the whole restaurant is really cozy for brunch. My sister originally chose Terra because she saw a picture of one of their salads with salmon and knew immediately that was what she wanted. We had no idea we were about to discover a new favorite restaurant. 10/10 -- I've already bookmarked Terra because I will absolutely be back. When we arrived, we told our server we had never been there before and asked what she recommended. Her descriptions of the food were fantastic, and she steered us toward the wood-grilled peaches with burrata and arugula. Oh. My. Goodness. Absolutely delicious! The grilled peaches, creamy burrata and arugula were such a wonderful combination. Then the salad came out, with salmon added. I took my first bite and was literally speechless. It was an explosion of flavor -- the avocado, salmon, sesame dressing and everything else going on in that salad just worked. The salmon costs extra, but it was absolutely worth it. The peach dish and the salad were completely different flavor experiences, and honestly I would happily order both of them again. We were talking about how we were gonna come back and try to resist ordering the same thing over again, but that will be a challenge. Of course, we were at a wood-fired pizza restaurant, so we HAD to try the pizza. We ordered half-and-half. One side was the fingerling potato pizza, especially after our server told us the story about the owner's daughter wanting fingerling potatoes on her pizza and how that helped inspire the restaurant. Obviously, after hearing that story, we had to try the pizza that started it all! And it did not disappoint. I can definitely see myself ordering that again. The other half was the salami pizza with the honey drizzle. It was supposed to have some heat -- my sister could taste it, although I couldn't -- and the honey made it a really interesting combination. Not something I would normally think to order, but definitely worth trying. I also ordered the citrus agave, thinking it was basically a fancy name for lemonade. It wasn't! Lemon, orange and lime made it much more interesting, with just a slight bitterness from the citrus that balanced the sweetness. Delicious and different. We sat upstairs, where there was a wonderful breeze coming through on a summer evening. The whole atmosphere was charming and relaxed, the service was excellent, and the food was memorable. The biggest surprise? Terra is right near my office, and I never knew it was there. Definitely a 10/10. I came because of a recommendation, and now I'm recommending it to everyone else.
