All the food I ordered was super yummy. The service was amazing; the server frequently gave us coffee refills and was very friendly. The restrooms were clean with lots of decor. Overall Paul's is a great place to get breakfast if you want great service and delicious food.

It's been a while since my first review here, so an update is in order :) Paul's still has the cozy, homey inside dining room, but now has expanded their outside seating with more tables and chairs ~ a great option when the weather is nice! Even sitting outside, service was great. Our food came out in a timely manner and our server made sure our coffee cups were kept full. We both ordered breakfast today. My friend's omelette with egg whites was beautiful and my chicken fried steak was delicious. It's great to be able to come here knowing that the food is consistently good and service is always friendly.

Our waitress was Tina she's so sweet so nice fun to chat with she's like family our food was great as usual. I absolutely love my grits with extra cheese I only get them here I love the decoration inside all decorations made home made like. There's even a shelf for regulars to have their own coffee cups. So cool ! Thank you for yet another wonderful breakfast. We will see you soon Tina.

Paul's Country Kitchen looks like a very local favorite in Placentia. I came here after shopping at Trader Joe's and was looking for some tasty American breakfast. I came across Paul's and decided to give this place a try. I automatically fell in love with how they made the inside and the patio, with tons of decorations that really make you feel like you are in America. The menu has a vast variety of options. I picked something off of the house favorites which was named Tijuana Treat! It has three eggs and is filled with ground beef, tomatoes, onions, sour cream, and cheese. Overall whatever they did it was good! I ate the whole thing!! So if you are looking for delicious diner style food this is the spot with friendly service.

Very excellent service. Lots of breakfast choices and good, hot coffee. Food arrived quickly and hot (not cold). Prices are reasonable too.

Service was great. Packed lil restaurant on strip mall. Seemed to be a lot regulars at this place. Parking is good. They have daily specials. The coffee was light for me. They are attentive to all patrons. My order was Debbie's special 2 pancakes, 1 egg 2 bacon/sausage. I ordered a side of toast. Pancakes were decent and flavor of vanilla. However the butter they use is margarine. It doesn't melt. There was a hefty coating it just sits on top of of whatever item it is put on. Therefore that was my low rating. We ordered oatmeal as well and the fresh fruit was partial fresh they also added canned peaches.I would probably not be back not my taste but give it a shot it might be something else you like. Service is impeccable.

We walked in on an early Sunday morning and were greeted and seated right away. Our server was one of the friendliest people we've encountered, bringing the concept of unreasonable hospitality to life. The food was good, and I particularly loved the variety of breakfast side options. Fresh tomatoes and sourdough toast with a scramble sounded just perfect. The place was bustling, and the bathroom decor was always fresh and interesting. I also enjoyed the dog wall. If I lived nearby, I would definitely be a regular!

Came here yet again for the country fried steak and super pleased with it!! Love that they aren't stingy w the gravy and that they let you semi customize your plate! So for me I got extra crispy hashbrowns and a pancake on the side, super delicious, super fresh, staff is super friendly ...seriously can never go wrong!

Never even knew this place existed until snagging a drink at the new Better Buzz near by.. Took the family hoping for an excellent breakfast, but sadly it was a let down... I will note that the service was excellent! A complete five stars to their team for the friendly, helpful, and prompt service. It was a busy Saturday morning but no family was left hanging.. Where I drop to three stars is the food. The presentation will get you, but you wont find a match with taste. The plates come out so perfectly decorated with their fine breakfast choices. Large fluffy pancakes, tasty looking bacon and sausage. Even the eggs looked satisfying, all yellow and funky. Unfortunately our table unanimously agreed the food had no flavor. Everything was so bland, couldn't even be saved with the salt/pepper, jellies, syrup, etc. I hate to break it, but the food fits the taste buds of a certain crowd, but we aren't there.. For my plate, the peaches were probably the only half decent part, but those were simply poured into a bowl from a can.. With some enhancements to the flavor, this place would have so many more people leaving satisfied. Until then, I donated $90 to an uncomfortable meal.. Heavy love to the staff though x2, the world needs more people like them.

As always the service was spot on - timely and pleasant . Love the Tijuana Treat because who could ask for more than eggs, seasoned ground beef, ortega chili and cheese.

Small mom/pop spot with the friendliest servers. Feels very much like "grandmas kitchen". Food was good and served quickly. My only issue is that it is incredibly hot in there. They had the doors open for air flow but it did not help much as we were all sweaty by the time we left breakfast.

The host and the waitress were both nice and accommodating. We had avocado toast (one order each). The food was definitely fresh, and the salsa they brought over to add on top of yourself was a great addition. Without it, there wasn't much flavor at all but we wanted something lite and this was it! The portion size for the amount you pay was worth it compared to any other socal restaurant. The decor inside is exactly what you think it might be for an old Timey restaurant and gave off a certain vibe.

Came for a girls lunch date earlier to this weekend and this spot did not disappoint!…read more THE SERVICE: 5/5 - Quick, friendly, accommodating, and our waiter made a real effort to engage in conversation with us. The FOOD: 4.5/5 | Drinks: 5/5 Off the appetizers, we had the pork belly bites and dirty fries! First dish came with a long hot pepper, several mini tortillas, and 2 dipping sauces. The pork was crunchy on the outside and soft+succulent on the inside. I can see myself doubling up on this appetizer the next time I come. Dirty fries were great; it came with a generous amount of pickled onions - providing a really nice contrast to the savoriness of our meal. Our waiter graciously accommodated our request to have the egg on the side. Off the entrée/taco menu, my friend ordered the Korean tacos and I got the Ensenada (fish) tacos. But you can also order the Ensenada tacos with shrimp. These were delicious, I would have loved a little more lime crema to go with the fish - but not a big deal. I got a Watermelon Margarita. I wasn't expecting it to be HUGE, but it was the perfect amount considering how much food we as a pair ordered. My friend ordered the La Toxica table side cocktail and one additional mango cocktail. Table side cocktail was a whole show and my friend really enjoyed it. We had a great lunch at Tempo Cantina. I can't wait to try more of their bar menu, maybe even at night when the restaurant is lively

It didn't taste as good and wasn't as juicy sadly. The sauces were still consistent but the pork belly itself was a bit lackluster from before Tinga taquitos- these used to be so juicy, the chicken inside was a bit dry and the tortilla itself was too thick. U def need to use the sauces they provide to offset the dryness Grilled Octopus- this dish was good, octopus was juicy but portion was a bit small for what it was. It also came with sweet potato fries Loaded fries- idk what I was expecting but these were just fries with buffalo chicken nuggets on top. Don't get me wrong this was decent and the buffalo chicken was tangy and juicy! Thirsty Thursday deals happen all day $7 margs and you know I had to get some. Mango was the sweetest, strawberry was not bad, guava was the best in balance of flavor in sweetness and alcohol. Overall not a bad experience but note if u haven't came here in a while, the food quality has changed sadly

Horrible experience and extremely poor customer service…read more On Father's Day, my husband wanted to try this restaurant for the first time. Unfortunately, it turned into one of the worst dining experiences we've had. We were seated on the patio and waited for 15 minutes without a single employee approaching our table. Not one server, host, or staff member stopped by to acknowledge us, offer water, or even let us know someone would be with us shortly. We actually timed it from the moment we sat down until the moment we left. What made the situation even more frustrating was that we were seated in the middle of the patio in plain sight. We watched multiple servers and staff members standing around the service station, chatting, sipping drinks, and looking around. Meanwhile, guests who were seated after us had their orders taken, received water, and were even served appetizers before anyone acknowledged our existence. For a restaurant charging premium prices, this level of service is completely unacceptable. On Father's Day of all days, when families are trying to enjoy a special meal together, the lack of attention and basic hospitality was astonishing. After 15 minutes, with my husband and son both hungry and frustrated, I walked up to what appeared to be the manager or owner and informed her that we were leaving because no one had come to our table. Her response was that she "wasn't aware." Frankly, that's not an acceptable answer. If you're managing or owning a restaurant, knowing whether your guests are being taken care of is part of the job. I have traveled extensively throughout the United States and internationally, dining at everything from small local establishments to high-end restaurants around the world. Out of the countless places I have visited, this experience easily ranks among my top 20 worst restaurant experiences. Not because the food was bad--we never even had the opportunity to order--but because the complete lack of service and awareness was that shocking. To make matters worse, after leaving, we went to North Italia. Within a few minutes of being seated, a server greeted us, acknowledged the Father's Day rush, offered us bread, and genuinely seemed concerned when we explained what had just happened. That simple act of hospitality immediately changed the tone of our afternoon. That is how a restaurant should be operated. That is what good management, training, and customer service look like. You make guests feel welcome, valued, and taken care of--even on one of the busiest dining days of the year. This restaurant, unfortunately, did the exact opposite. We left disappointed, hungry, and genuinely stunned by how poorly the situation was handled. Will we return? Absolutely not. There are far too many restaurants that appreciate their customers and understand the basics of hospitality for us to ever give this place another chance.
