Caramel iced latte

Great coffee and egg salad toast. It was busy but didn't take long for us to get the orders. They had a variety of toasts you could get made and the coffee was strong and not bitter. Everyone was also very friendly.

Bread selection!

Oh look, another coffee shop for me to check out! Brot is located close to Main Place mall so you can grab a little treat on your way to do some shopping! Inside is somewhat rustic/trendy with natural wood finishes and lots of seating for a small place. Parking is easy with a shared parking lot. As always, I was delighted to learn that they offer decaf coffee options. I grabbed a decaf iced vanilla latte, a classic, and also decided to try the T.O.M. with avocado. This is a toast creation that consists of rustic country bread, butter, olive oil, sliced tomatoes, diced mozzarella, and some seasonings. It seemed that they were a little short staffed today; there were 3 people working but the line was a bit slow. It wasn't a problem but I could feel the energy from the staff that maybe they were feeling the pressure. My drink was great; delicious, deep roasty coffee flavor without being heavy on the milk and sugar! Easily one of the better decaf coffees I have had. Maybe my taste buds are biased, but I could not tell by taste alone that this was decaf. The toast was awesome! The olive oil was such a nice touch. This was nearly caprese but not quite. Soft bread with a chewy crust, fresh tomatoes and avocado, and a punch of tasty olive oil to round it out. The perfect complement to my drink. They had a few options of bread loaves you can buy; someone was in there raving to another customer about the cinnamon loaf, which got me excited to try it! Maybe next time. And there will definitely be a next time.

Inside

Got the drip coffee and egg salad on avocado toast. Both tasted really good and i have no complaints. The space is huge with inside and outdoor seating. Seems a great place to get some work done. The service was efficient and really nice. Definitely recommend!

Gingerbread spice latte - A disposable coffee cup with a black lid and a paper sleeve featuring a hand-drawn sketch of Brot Coffee's storefront is positioned on a wooden table. The background shows a cafe interior with large windows, blurred patrons, and colorful string lights hanging from the ceiling, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Brot Coffee was, what seemed like the closest coffee near our hotel being only a mile away but they were further than we expected. It is a small and quaint little corner coffee shop. I came around 9 am and it was already bustling with customers on a Friday morning. The place is cozy and inviting, tables to sit at and large windows inviting sunlight in the morning. The shop is adorned with plenty of indoor plants to brighten up the space. It felt cozy and like I was stepping into my neighbor's home. So to call them the neighborhood coffee shop is rightfully so. I saw a sign for their November and December specials. For November it was the maple rosemary latte and December was the gingerbread spice latte. I tried to order the November special in case they had any leftover but they didn't. I came a few weeks too late. Instead, I got the December special in a small with oat milk and half sweet. Also saw a case of pastries and bread that looked delicious but I was only in the mood for coffee. The small gingerbread spice latte was small indeed. I had requested for half sweet and it was just right. It had the right amount of spice and not too sweet. It's a pretty good holiday drink. Also found it fun that whenever a customer comes in, the baristas also like to do a fun welcome greeting. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay a bit to soak in the atmosphere. It was very warm and festive inside. Will have to come back whenever I'm in the area again.

Sourdough bread heaven in The OC? Heck yeah! - Bags of bread are placed on a black counter in front of a bakery or cafe display. Behind the counter, there are different types of bread, including loaves and rolls, wrapped in plastic. The background shows a glass display case, kitchen equipment, and a person working behind the counter. Small signs label the bread varieties, and the setting appears to be a bakery or cafe with a modern interior.

Yo, this is the spot!!!! Anytime I travel, I try to find that perfect coffee shop. The shop that has cool peeps on the bar, friendly faces at the register. Locally owned and operated is my jam and this is my new favorite shop. I found them on my way to our office, while visiting from up North. I was blown away when I saw the fresh loaves of delicious sourdough bread. I ordered sourdough toast with butter, and it felt a bit odd, ngl. But man, as a sourdough bread honk, I was impressed.  I went with a Cortodo and it was definitely a coffee forward beverage. The espresso is strong, flavorful, and not bitter at all! Absolutely fantastic first drink. I went back at the end of the week to grab some whole beans for my coworkers, had an espresso shot, and of course, more sourdough toast! They have a wonderful selection of toppings, but, I just couldn't resist fresh bread with a giant nob of butter! Espresso shot is served with sparkling water, to cleanse the pallet and provide a vibrant refresher. Exceptional coffee, crafted very well, and such a fun place to chill and enjoy a beverage.  A lady who is obviously a regular was telling the entire shop about her trip to the ATL and I felt right at home. Friendly vibes, solid energy, and damn good coffee. My new fave in The OC.

flat white - A latte with foam art, featuring a heart design, is served in a white paper cup on a wooden table. The cup has a sketch of a building or storefront printed on it. A glass of water is placed next to the cup, and a person with crossed arms, wearing a striped shirt, is visible in the background. The setting appears to be a coffee shop with natural lighting.

This place is so cute- way more spacious inside than it appears from the outside. There was also a ton of outdoor seating. Loved all the plants and the aesthetic inside - a great place to catch up with a friend or read a book/study. We got a flat white and iced latte- coffee was great, and very reasonably priced. They have fresh bread and multiple food options if you're hungry! Customer service from Alyx and team was 10/10! :)

BYO toast and my iced drink, espresso machine was broken so I got some type of cold brew mixture
Erica A.

First time here, stopped by after a workout class in the area and needed a place to study. Overall the inside is very big and I was easily able to find a seat to study. Staff is really nice. Bummer that their espresso machine was broken so I got some sort of cold brew mix instead of my usual latte, the drink was good I did finish it but would've preferred a latte but I'll have to come back to try. I did a byo toast and I devoured it, so so good! I would definitely return here in the future

Decor - Inside a cafe, two potted plants are displayed near a wooden counter. The larger plant has broad, dark green leaves and is in a terracotta pot on a wheeled stand. The smaller plant has multicolored leaves with shades of red, green, and pink, and is in a white pot with a wooden stand. The background shows part of the cafe's interior, including a counter, kitchen area, and lighting fixtures.

This place is a charming coffee shop with artisan brews and customizable toast. With plenty of seating to relax or study and smooth jazz playing lightly in the background, this is the place to be. The staff is nice and they work at at fast pace. I ordered the White Mocha and it was a smooth blend and tasted good.

A paper coffee cup with a black plastic lid is placed on a wooden surface. The cup has a simple sketch of the Brot Coffee storefront printed on it, showing the building's exterior and signage. The background includes a blurred wall with a piece of artwork or decoration. The setting appears to be indoors, likely in a coffee shop or similar environment.

GOOD COFFEE BEANS (4.5 stars) Not from the area but stumbled upon this coffee shop while attending an event nearby. The place seemed very popular among the locals and the place was quite packed but there were seats available - but not many. They had their own small roasted in the back. There will likely be a line to get your order - it moves at a decent paste. My decaf vanilla latte was quickly made (not sure if that's a good or bad thing) and it tasted fine when I got it. I couldn't really identify any notes from the beans because the vanilla syrup glossed over everything but can recall not having any acidic nor burnt taste - that's a good thing. I do wish the tables were wiped down often, nobody cleaned the tables and people came and gone. Until the next review...

Really great coffee in Orange! Thye have a very spacious and beautiful indoor area that are great for meetups whether pleasure or business, and studying. Great collection of high quality teas and also coffee. They also offer decaf and their oat milk is so smooth. Highly recommend!

Inside look

On a trip to Orange, I was so happy to find a little hidden gem that ha Brot Coffee--it's in a mini mall location, but it has a lot of charm and the people there really make it feel so comfortable and inviting! I wandered over to Brot on a Saturday morning for coffee and some of their fresh bread (Yum!). When I came in, the workers were friendly and welcomed me (and all the guests that came in). I could tell there were a lot of regulars coming in, some even the families of those working behind the counter. There was an inside seating area with a lot of plants, but there is also a side alley seating area for those nice mornings in Orange! When I got up to the counter, I ordered their drink special, the Spicy Mocha iced, which was very good. I also ordered a slice of the French toast bread, toasted with butter. This French toast bread blew my mind! Definitely will go back just to get that bread in the future! So glad I found this little spot on my trip--can't think of a better place to sit, have coffee and a piece of fresh bread, and read!

Brot Coffee is such a vibe! Mid-week and this place had people in and out and sitting to enjoy delicious coffee, bread and food! Check out my pictures, omg a nice thick slice of cinnamon bread, the perfect pat of butter and my delicious cappuccino. I was in heaven...for 10 mins. I almost contemplated ordering another slice. haha! Then I went to Cost Less and did some shopping, thinking...should I go grab a slice to go? A loaf for home? (very reasonably priced, btw). I can't wait to return!

Protein bowl & iced vanilla almond latte
Angelique S.

What a delightful surprise! Was picking up an order from Main place mall & had a hankering for coffee (ummm, who's kidding, I ALWAYS love coffee!)... Anyway... popped on Yelp & saw that Brot was 5 min away!! Popped in and ordered an iced vanilla almond latte & a protein bowl. Protein bowl was exactly what I had hoped... light but a nice tasty treat. Coffee is G-O-O-D!!! You know when you take a sip and that rich flavor hits you and you just know... oh! That's good coffee (or espresso in my case). Definitely coming back w/the hub. Location: tiny strip mall across from Providence women's/children's center Vibe: very chill, polished concrete floor, exposed roof, grey/brown/neutral color palette, and my favorite jazz music playing overhead. Pro tip: if you like bread/carbs... the loafs look amazing. And they have the option to make custom toasts -- yum Seating: plenty inside & out. Cute patio on the side if you're wanting to sit outdoors for fresh air... but I prefer the cozy indoor jazz vibe.

Still, I decided to give this place a second chance (no angry neighbor this time), and I was glad I did! PARKING: There's street parking around the neighborhood - I parked on Almond Ave so I wasn't in front of a house. The spots right outside the shop were 30 minute only. If you can't find parking there's probably tons as you go east if you're willing to walk. WHAT I ORDERED: Pistachio cream cold brew THE DRINK: Amazing. I've had my share of acidic or bitter cold brews, and this was not one of them. The cream was perfectly sweetened and flavored . SERVICE: Exceeded my expectations. The baristas when I came in were very bubbly and answered my questions and gave me suggestions, and were funny too! I wish I got their names, but they were working on Monday early afternoon - I hope they get some recognition. We also got some samples of the food items (which may have swayed me to get the turkey panini next time I come in). Even with the experience I had above a while back ago, I remember going in to let the baristas know and they were very understanding and apologetic, which I really appreciated. VIBES: Probably one of the top coffee shops to get work done in OC. Here's my work-from-coffee-shop checklist: * OUTLETS: So many. Not at the tables downstairs but in the private rooms and at a lot of the seating upstairs. * WIFI/INTERNET: Yes, good speed * BATHROOMS: Yes, clean * WATER: You can ask for free water * VOLUME: Music was a little bit loud but not terrible * SEATING AVAILABILITY: Lotsssss of seats when I came on a Monday late morning-afternoon. Very cool that there were private rooms (which can be reserved two hours in advance if you call them), tables, bar-style seating upstairs, and most importantly, comfy couches!! * LAPTOP FRIENDLINESS: No restrictions BOTTOM LINE: I can't believe I almost missed out on this gem. What really pushed me to write this review is how often the app is completely inaccurate. I'll get a notification saying my drink is ready, only to show up and find that it hasn't even been started yet. Meanwhile, the person who is supposed to be making drinks is busy chatting with coworkers instead of focusing on orders. This isn't a one-time thing either. It's become a pattern, and nothing seems to improve. Long waits, lack of urgency, and poor communication make the whole experience frustrating, especially when you're paying premium prices for coffee. I used to enjoy coming here, but the repeated lack of professionalism and attention to customers has really turned me off. Hopefully management steps in and addresses this, because right now it feels like customers are not a priority at all.
