I needed a place to sit and get some work done. There are WiFi, outlets, and plenty of places to sit. The baristas are very friendly here. I think it's a nice and open space and very comfortable. I got a vanilla latte and it was excellent! I am absolutely coming here again when I need to wait for a bit in Orange and get work done.
Really friendly customer service and the toast and drinks here are all top tier. Had the seasonal iced pumpkin spice latte and the iced golden latte and both were nice and usually golden lattes can be hit or miss but I really enjoyed mine. The espresso is full bodied but not bitter or too bold. My dad tried the Italian cappuccino versus the regular and we both agreed the Italian cappuccino is worth paying a little more for. The toast is very fluffy and the cinnamon swirl is perfect even with just butter. The seating is comfortable and spacious and the bathroom is clean. You can tell the owner is passionate about their craft and that the people who work here really love what they do!
I tried their matcha even though they are known for their coffee and didn't love the matcha. It was very milk heavy, and there was not much matcha flavor. The sweetness was good. Service was very fast and nice. Love that the cafe has lots of seating inside, so it would be a good place to study or work. They also have lots of bread you can buy, which looked very good. There's also a free parking lot right in front of the cafe.
Oh look, another coffee shop for me to check out! Brot is located close to Main Place mall so you can grab a little treat on your way to do some shopping! Inside is somewhat rustic/trendy with natural wood finishes and lots of seating for a small place. Parking is easy with a shared parking lot. As always, I was delighted to learn that they offer decaf coffee options. I grabbed a decaf iced vanilla latte, a classic, and also decided to try the T.O.M. with avocado. This is a toast creation that consists of rustic country bread, butter, olive oil, sliced tomatoes, diced mozzarella, and some seasonings. It seemed that they were a little short staffed today; there were 3 people working but the line was a bit slow. It wasn't a problem but I could feel the energy from the staff that maybe they were feeling the pressure. My drink was great; delicious, deep roasty coffee flavor without being heavy on the milk and sugar! Easily one of the better decaf coffees I have had. Maybe my taste buds are biased, but I could not tell by taste alone that this was decaf. The toast was awesome! The olive oil was such a nice touch. This was nearly caprese but not quite. Soft bread with a chewy crust, fresh tomatoes and avocado, and a punch of tasty olive oil to round it out. The perfect complement to my drink. They had a few options of bread loaves you can buy; someone was in there raving to another customer about the cinnamon loaf, which got me excited to try it! Maybe next time. And there will definitely be a next time.
Brot Coffee was, what seemed like the closest coffee near our hotel being only a mile away but they were further than we expected. It is a small and quaint little corner coffee shop. I came around 9 am and it was already bustling with customers on a Friday morning. The place is cozy and inviting, tables to sit at and large windows inviting sunlight in the morning. The shop is adorned with plenty of indoor plants to brighten up the space. It felt cozy and like I was stepping into my neighbor's home. So to call them the neighborhood coffee shop is rightfully so. I saw a sign for their November and December specials. For November it was the maple rosemary latte and December was the gingerbread spice latte. I tried to order the November special in case they had any leftover but they didn't. I came a few weeks too late. Instead, I got the December special in a small with oat milk and half sweet. Also saw a case of pastries and bread that looked delicious but I was only in the mood for coffee. The small gingerbread spice latte was small indeed. I had requested for half sweet and it was just right. It had the right amount of spice and not too sweet. It's a pretty good holiday drink. Also found it fun that whenever a customer comes in, the baristas also like to do a fun welcome greeting. If I had more time, I would have loved to stay a bit to soak in the atmosphere. It was very warm and festive inside. Will have to come back whenever I'm in the area again.
Yo, this is the spot!!!! Anytime I travel, I try to find that perfect coffee shop. The shop that has cool peeps on the bar, friendly faces at the register. Locally owned and operated is my jam and this is my new favorite shop. I found them on my way to our office, while visiting from up North. I was blown away when I saw the fresh loaves of delicious sourdough bread. I ordered sourdough toast with butter, and it felt a bit odd, ngl. But man, as a sourdough bread honk, I was impressed. I went with a Cortodo and it was definitely a coffee forward beverage. The espresso is strong, flavorful, and not bitter at all! Absolutely fantastic first drink. I went back at the end of the week to grab some whole beans for my coworkers, had an espresso shot, and of course, more sourdough toast! They have a wonderful selection of toppings, but, I just couldn't resist fresh bread with a giant nob of butter! Espresso shot is served with sparkling water, to cleanse the pallet and provide a vibrant refresher. Exceptional coffee, crafted very well, and such a fun place to chill and enjoy a beverage. A lady who is obviously a regular was telling the entire shop about her trip to the ATL and I felt right at home. Friendly vibes, solid energy, and damn good coffee. My new fave in The OC.
Very chill and welcoming spot. The host was very sweet in answering all our questions.its very hard to find Gluten free bread in restaurants, so when I read the comments on Yelp I was so excited to try Brot. Oh boy, their cranberry pecan gluten free toast with cream cheese was absolutely delicious. My wife had the T.O.M on gluten free sourdough and her first bite was Divine! Her words and she doesn't play about her food! So hands down Brot is the spot to go for coffee, delicious gluten free toast with loads of topping options! Oh and they sell it by the loaf! Totally worth it.
Great coffee and egg salad toast. It was busy but didn't take long for us to get the orders. They had a variety of toasts you could get made and the coffee was strong and not bitter. Everyone was also very friendly.
Nice place. the coffee is rich and flavorful, the sourdough bread crisp on the outside and soft within. The space feels open and inviting -- perfect whether you're here for a quiet moment alone or catching up with friends by the window.

This place is a charming coffee shop with artisan brews and customizable toast. With plenty of seating to relax or study and smooth jazz playing lightly in the background, this is the place to be. The staff is nice and they work at at fast pace. I ordered the White Mocha and it was a smooth blend and tasted good.
I've passed by this coffeeshop many times and I'm so glad I finally gave it a try. I got an iced vanilla latte which had the perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness. I love that they offer non dairy alternatives - they have almond, macadamia, and oat milk options. I also had to try a toast since it looks like they make their bread in-house. I'll probably grab a loaf next time! It was delicious. Drinks are quick but toast takes a while as they make it fresh. The staff was so nice as well. I'll be back~
On our ever continuing journey through the coffee houses of Orange County we decided to check out Brot coffee. Let me start with this place is a jewel of a surprise so unassuming outside but once your inside you will be happy you came. The owner and staff are amazing and the prices are so good. This place makes bread onsite that is so delightful and nutritious. They sacrifice nothing in the prep to presentation to taste. The TOM toast was so good that it is now on our top ten list and we will be back! The caramel latte is was perfect in every way and my wife got the regular coffee and was extremely satisfied with the quality of the roast. The bread variety is off the charts and we got an amazing country loaf that weighs a couple of pounds for ten bucks! I almost hate posting this as i want to keep it a secret but this is a place to be enjoyed by many.

Love Brot! With its grey walls, dark wood furniture, greenery, and soft jazz music, it is a nice place to either chat with friends or do work on your laptop. Lots of outlets, but not so comfy chairs lol Service was quick and friendly. We ordered a seasonal latte (maple sugar rosemary) and a vanilla latte. Good, but a little too sweet for our tastebuds. The avocado toast was delicious though! The lemony seasoning truly brought out the flavors in all the ingredients. The sourdough was perfectly toasted and the toppings were just right (not too overloaded so that everything is constantly falling off as you take a bite). We went on a Sunday around 10am and the place was packed! Of course, for good reason! read more

Instead of going to starbucks I decided I wanted to support a small business. Went against my gut and got a matcha with oatmilk and sadly, all i taste is oatmilk. also paid 7$ for a small. Won't be returning and sad i lost 7$ lol. Service was great though and loved the ambiance read more

This is hands down my fav coffee spot in OC. Quality with affordability is increasingly a rarity, yet Brot never disappoints. I got the matcha latte today with cinnamon swirl brioche toast. The matcha was had a distinctly earthy flavor, one that made me smile. The cinnamon swirl brioche toast was golden and needed no toppings besides butter. Absolutely delicious. Service was speedy and friendly. And the cafe has wonderful natural lighting. Thanks for making my morning yall. read more
It was pretty packed 9:00 Sunday morning... The bread looks so good I ordered a E.A.T toast, it tastes perfect. The iced latte came with four shots of expresso!! The environment is cozy and tidy ... peoples of friendly. There are pretty good amount of outlets available for your laptop. read more
I haven't been to Brot coffee in a while, but I decided to pay a visit because I moved back to the area. It was just how I remembered and I was exited to try their coffee again. My boyfriend and I both ordered a large honey lavender iced latte which was pretty good. The lattes had an equal balance of coffee and flavor. I ordered the e.a.t toast without egg and I will say it was very average. If it had more avocado and was toasted for less time it would have been perfect. The avorito looked a tad bit underwhelming, but it was exactly what the menu said it was. The baristas were very nice and accommodating and it was busier and a little smaller than I remember inside. I visited this spot recently. I was fairly surprised at the size and seating amount. It is a nice sized cafe and I really loved the plant decorations. I ordered a protein snack bowl and a hot mocha. The mocha tasted like most but it wasn't too sweet so I liked that. I really liked the protein bowl! It was a perfect little breakfast snack to enjoy while I studied. The service was quick and the employees were helpful. Of course I must mention parking! It was easy! It's located in a small shopping center lot. I'll definitely be back again. read more

I've been to this spot a few times and typically get the kühls. I hadn't been here in years, but was in the area for a training and stopped by for coffee. I again ordered a kühl, the chai with oat milk and four shots of espresso. It ends up being quite pricey, with each shot being an additional dollar. It was quite busy this morning, and my drink was good, but not very flavorful. The owner(I think) is very friendly and kind of the one who greets and engages with customers. There is a lot of space to study or chat inside, and they also have outdoor seating. read more
Conveniently located in an older shopping center, but a true stand out. I was a little taken back by the line upon entering. Turns out it was about a 5 minute wait, so not bad at all. Once I ordered, everything was ready in minutes. Very efficient system they have and it's obvious watching staff work in the open concept coffee shop. Ample seating was available. Many people fining in and also working remotely. The protien bowl was delicious, affordable, albeit definitely needs to have at least 2 eggs to be a sufficient meal. All in all, I'd order it again. You love bread? I love love bread!! This is a great coffee shop that has a variety of bread and topping options to serve it. I went for a simple with pumpernickel, bananas, and almond butter. Delectable. Their coffee is simple and straightforward, nothing too fancy. They have monthly specials that would be a great reason to go back and check out. Over July was peaches, cream or cheese (I can't recall) on toast, it was very sweet. read more

This place is always busy. They have a great selection of brewed and flavored coffee, matcha and tea. Ordered the vanilla latte and caramel latte - they were good and HOT. There is plenty of parking in the strip mall and plenty of indoor seating. read more

First time at this place and service was great! As soon as we walked in we were welcomed!! I ordered a Flat white with oat milk and a Cafe mocha with oat milk. The Flat white was super hot I couldn't really drink it. It was okay but wasn't great. The Cafe mocha was not my favorite felt so watery. This place has so much seating indoor and outdoor! I would have loved to give this place 5/5 because customer service was exceptional but based on coffee I wasn't a big fan! read more

I got the vanilla ice blended drink which was really good. I was also so excited because they offer 6 different gluten free toast options with tons of different toppings you can add. I got the "protein bowl" toast on the onion GF bread and it was super yummy. The staff were all very friendly. Lots of seating inside, too, which is always a huge plus! read more
My weekly cafe tour 2024 continues on and this week I decided to stay close to home! I've been in the city of orange for 2.5 years and like many others, I have noticed this coffee shop while driving by but never made the effort to stop by until today. I am glad I did. In terms of parking, it is a busy parking lot but part of the reason is because lanes in front of the business are only one way. However, I found parking in the front pretty easily. Upon walking in, they have tables on the side of the building for you to use. Before entering I was hoping there would be a table to sit at to study and I was glad there were some spots open even though the shop was quite busy. When I ordered I asked a few questions since it was my first time. I asked for the sweetest coffee and was recommended the caramel latte. I'm not a big fan of caramel but I decided to try it since it was recommended but of course I asked for extra ice. I also tried their January special, the cinnamon brulee toast and the TOM toast. I wanted something both savory and sweet. Once I got all my items I tried them and im happy to say they were all good. Coffee was sweet just how I like it and the coffee flavor was just right. The TOM was simple but delicious. Its just toast with butter, olive oil, tomatoes, mozzarella, and some seasonings. This dish reminds me that often times the most simple foods are the most tasty. Love it! The cinnamon toast was also delicious. I ate half of it and saved the other half for a snack later on during the day. If there was any room for improvement I would say if they made their whipped cream in house (which i dont think they do), it would elevate the experience that much more. Service was decent, food is simple yet enjoyable. Ambiance is an A+. Lots of tables. I am also going through my toast era and am very tempted to buy a loaf of bread from here before I leave. ;) read more
Really loved this coffee shop. What I loved most was the ambiance. It's very calm and they have plenty of seating. Their decor is cute with plants throughout. The food was also really good. I highly recommend the E.A.T. toast. It includes hard boiled egg, avocado, and tomatoes. The seasoning on top is also delicious. I ordered the iced vanilla latte and enjoyed that as well. It was pretty strong which I like but still had that vanilla flavor. Overall, it's a great place to get some work done or just enjoy their food and drinks. read more

Here is a very nice coffee shop with soft music playing in the background. It is not too far from the CHOC hospital or even UCI Medical Center. You can simply can bring your laptop work here or work on college assignments or even simply relax by yourself or with a company. They have both inside and outside seating. Ordered: Iced Turmeric Mango Tea - loved the unique flavor! Ingredients: mango, turmeric root, pineapple, ginger root, jasmine green tea, yuzu peel, natural mango flavor, essential kaffir lime oil E.A.T Toast - Freshly made and t was delish. Ingredients: Hard boiled eggs, avocado, tomato, organic lemon pepper, applewood smoked salt on a sourdough toasted bread Service was great! Did they changed the ratios of their lattes? I used to go to this coffee shop all the time before moving away, this time I was in town and decided to stop by since they were my favorite coffee shop but it wasn't as bold as I remember. It was more milky. It was made by a younger girl I've never seen before, so not sure if she made my order right. Either way I will try it again next time I'm in town. read more

Got tired of driving by and saying "I'm gonna check this place out" and am very glad I made the decision to drop in. Brot has achieved the concept of an authentically rustic coffee shop in terms of both decor and drink quality. Seating isn't too hard to find and it's pretty sizable, which doesn't appear obvious from the outside. All of the baristas are so kind and well-informed of the menu and helped me finalize my choices of an iced maple rosemary latte and E.A.T. toast on garlic rosemary toast. Food and drink came out in less than 10 minutes. Maple Rosemary Latte: Like other reviews suggest, Brot definitely uses coffee flavorings to accentuate the taste of the coffee rather than mask it - neither the maple nor the rosemary particularly stood out, instead adding another layer of subtle complexity to the coffee. E.A.T. Toast: highly recommend get this on the garlic rosemary toast. The sweet and earthy tomato and avocado offer a great contrast to the heavier taste of egg and butter on the toast, and the smattering of various seasonings rounds off the dish really nicely. I honestly might buy a loaf of the garlic rosemary toast every so often to try and make this at home. I'll definitely be back to either study or just hang out with friends! read more

This was my second time visiting this coffee shop and am still impressed with the quality of their bread! It's a clean taste and doesn't feel too heavy either. I ordered the T.O.M with the rosemary and garlic bread instead of the Italian bread. Also got tomatoes on the side for my mom to eat since I'm allergic to tomatoes. I requested light sweet on the matcha latte and it tasted as if there was no sugar (which wasn't a dealbreaker for me) so I assume the regular amount of sugar is not sweet either (a plus considering how many cafes over-sweeten their drinks). As for the bigger sized drink in the photo, it's a large hot americano which we weren't a fan of because it was too acidic. All of the workers are nice and friendly and provided extra utensils and water promptly upon request. The one downside is that it took awhile to get our food order. Not sure why but hopefully speed of service can be improved! Will be back soon! read more

Some of the tables have conveniently located power outlets. The internet is good quality high speed. Be advised that mid-morning through the lunch hour gets very busy and getting a table may be difficult.
