My first time there was yesterday around 5:30ish and this girl took my order and recommended me a drink called iced lvtm because I've told her that whole milk doesn't sit right with me. Then she asked if my other friends wanted a sample and they agreed and within that moment the other girl that had served us the samples asked us if we can had dairy issues and the girl that took my ordered pointed at me and said me. Genuinely disappointed in the service this afternoon (7/19). Came in and ordered a coffee and breakfast bagel with no meat (just egg and cheese). The order rang up wrong to start, but I didn't notice it because the person that took the order up asked specifically if I wanted meat. When the order came out it was just a plain bagel.... When I brought it back to the register and said it's wrong there was no acknowledgement and the response I got was "we have to refund you and ring you back for the right order". I mean, yeah, I would hope so, but maybe a "I'm sorry" or something?? I don't ask for a free upgrade (since the breakfast sandwich was more than twice the price of the bagel). I even said, "please ring me up for the difference" since I'm aware I was charged for the wrong item. So I waited for my order again and left. I popped in on a Sunday morning after a brunch nearby and opted for my regular order, a cold brew with a splash of oat milk. My coffee was GREAT and I was really digging the decor and red brick exterior. However, the mood was dampened as the ambiance inside was a little soulless. No music, no laughter. Additionally, the staff was a little moody for my taste. I got decent service but staff were frowning and not having a good time. Maybe I visited on an off-day? However, the shop wasn't busy nor were customers being unpleasant. I just think the band of baristas needed a social check-in. Tried the yuzu mango matcha with sweet vanilla cold foam, and it actually exceeded my expectations. I'm a big matcha girly, so I'm surprised how well this mix blended together. It was the perfect amount of sweetness too and balance between the yuzu and matcha. You could taste enough of the matcha in the drink, but not as strong as your typical Airoma or Taty's matcha. I like how they were open early enough for me to grab a matcha before work. Service-wise, I can't say much because I ordered through their self-service tablet. They did make the drink fairly quick though considering there were at least 2 groups ahead of me. I literally just popped in here to waste time waiting to meet someone right next door at Paul's. Literally every single employee i talked to was super nice. The place is nice and low key, chill and intimate. It's not built to have many people stay to enjoy their coffee and what not, but it's not unusual for that now. I got a LVTM, otherwise known as a Light Vietnamese Latte. I got it iced. It was very good. I keep meaning to try more Vietnamese coffees. I have placed mobile orders here multiple times, and my husband has always been able to pick them up by simply giving my name. Today, for some reason, they refused to give him my order even though he gave my name and the drink was already made with my name on it. The cashier told him the coffee wasn't his, so my husband told her to just charge him for another coffee. She charged him for another coffee and then handed him the exact coffee that was already made with my name on it. My husband asked, "If you didn't believe this coffee was mine, why are you giving it to me now? If I just paid for another coffee, then please make me another one." She then refused to make him another coffee. The entire situation made absolutely no sense and was handled very poorly. Customer service is so important. As a mom with a baby, my husband regularly picks up my mobile coffee orders for me, and we have never had an issue like this at any other coffee shop. I spend around $7 almost every day on coffee, and unfortunately, after this experience, I will no longer be spending my money here. Very disappointing and easily one of the worst customer service experiences I've had. read more

While I was in town, I actually stopped by twice I grabbed a regular iced coffee in the morning to fuel up, then came back later to try their Vietnamese coffee before heading home. This is the kind of place where it truly feels like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was beyond friendly and super helpful with recommendations and what's most popular. Blk dot is always consistent and one of the best Vietnamese coffee in my opinion. We love that this location has its own parking lot and the Mobile order makes it so much easier to get our fix. My littles love the mango matcha and I can't disagree, it is tasty. Note: any changes seem to always have a charge. For the price of the drink I feel like it should accommodate a little change here or there. But that is I suppose just something to expect from BDC. This is my experience from yesterday. I usually love this place and the guy manager is super nice. He was not there yesterday only all girls. The girls were rude and they messed up my drink. Did not even apologized and I had to wait extra time for them to finished making the drinks for the people who came after me. Customer service is everything no matter how busy you are. Apologized or at least let me have what you messed up on while I wait for my correct drink or offer me water while I wait. Just bad customer service. The lady before me even agreed with me. So I have about a million coffee shops on my bookmarks/collections. Since I have tried this place in Long Beach, I wanted to try the one close to work. I was in the area earlier than thought so had some time to spare before heading into work. I wanted something somewhat new so decided to stop by. There is street parking so lots of spaces to choose from and since it was early, not too busy. I am pretty sure parking gets busy during the day since it is in the Circle, most populated area in Orange. The coffee shop itself is pretty big. Not too many places to sit but enough to enjoy your coffee or to take your order to go. The baristas and cashier were pretty friendly and made my drink really quick. The decor inside was really cool too and had lots of photo ops to add to your camera roll. I ended up ordering the Spicy Honey Oat Latte. It was pretty good but it was spicy. A little too much for me so I had to add some creamer. It still tasted really good though. I didn't get to try anything else so i'm going to try to get to work early again to make a pit stop. So I will be back soon to try out their highly recommended matcha. read more

PIECES OF PLASTIC BALLS IN MY BOWL?!! My coworkers and I have done orders here a few times and more than once, we have missing items in our order. Not just once, not just one item. But all the drinks items were missing and we only received our food items. I would have said it was the deliverer's part, but since this has happened more than once. I would like to believe it's on Blackdot's part. Even ordering in person, I would feel like the employees would like to get mine or other's orders done with immediately as if brushing ofd engagement with customers, like they wanted to "get us out of the way". Just get a kiosk if you don't want to engage with us and we'll just do self orders. I also want to mention that when I got my food item, there were a few small pieces of plastic balls inside of my item and I nearly ate one of them. How can you serve this and believe this is ok? Not my favorite location overall cause of the location, but the coffee still delivers. That alone makes it worth pulling up. Service has always been solid.
