I have to give major compliments in the staff at the Tustin store for what could have been a bad situation but the staff turned it around making it a memorable one. I placed a large order for our company staff meeting, had everything confirmed such as date, time, and staff personalized orders with a Manager, not going to call anyone out , but somehow my order never was finalized internally. I came to pick up my large order of 42 sandwiches and salads, to find out that they did not have my order or know about it. My meeting was in an hour so you could imagine the panic I felt. Michael and Cobb (yes that's his name ) could of told me sorry there's nothing we can do about it, but instead they worked together with the back of the house to make my order happen. That is GREAT customer service Not only did they get my order entered and correctly, quickly and done within 20-30mins, everything was perfect. No mistakes on any of the items which is worth celebrating in itself! Oh and the other great part....our food was so delicious! EDIT: In response to Business Owner's comment - I should've added in my initial review that my husband did try calling the morning of several times and we were not able to reach anybody. I'm also not sure why our credit card was flagged as fraudulent; we have never had that issue anywhere else. In any case, we would've really appreciated proactive communication from the store given that this was a catering order for an event and is an especially time sensitive order. I had an extremely disappointing experience when I used Board & Brew (specifically this location) to cater my daughter's birthday party. I confirmed the catering order with them just a day or two in advance, and everything seemed set. However, on the morning of the party, they completely cancelled the entire order with no real solution or accommodation offered. This left us scrambling at the last minute during a very important event. Because of their cancellation, I had to quickly place a separate order through DoorDash, which ended up being significantly more expensive and couldn't arrive as early as we had originally planned. As a result, our guests were left waiting and hungry, which was frustrating and embarrassing, especially at a child's birthday party. A company that offers catering should understand how critical timing and reliability are for events. Canceling the day of with no backup plan is completely unacceptable. I've been going to board and brew ever since I was introduced to them in San Diego. The locations I've been to including the one here in Tustin usually have a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Thee beers they have on tap are generally solid ranging from Blondes to IPAs and Stouts. Their sandwiches are obviously very excellent. I usually get one of the hot sandwiches from the grill like the left coast pastrami or the roast beef spicy. And of course, their secret sauce, is amazing. Their quality and flavor never disappoint, and my go-to order is always the Turkado--fresh, delicious, and satisfying every time. I usually order to-go, and for the most part, the service and accuracy have been great. However, there was one time when my sandwich was mistakenly prepared as a wrap, even though I had requested it to be cut in half and wrapped separately. I was a bit disappointed, especially since I didn't have the time to go back and get it fixed. That said, I really enjoy this place and hope that future orders will be more carefully prepared. Incredibly affordable sandwiches and beer! They have a happy hour every day from 3-6pm where beers are only $5. We ended up getting 2 sandwiches- the Italian and Baja chicken. We also got chips and a Pilsner beer. Sandwiches were huge and tasty for only $10 each. Honestly great value (sandwiches are slightly basic but tasty) and the sauce it came with was what really sets the sandwich apart! We brought our dog and were able to sit on the patio. Board and Brew is a sandwich chain that I've seen in a lot of cities. The set-up is really casual and chill, similar to a lot of other sandwich places. Unfortunately, the sandwiches are just okay. I did not like the tuna one I tried at all. The tuna was dry and they put sweet relish in there, which literally ruined the sandwich for me. In my opinion, sandwiches should be fully savory and not include any hints of sweetness. I couldn't even finish the sandwich. The vibe is pretty dark and glum, and the people weren't making a real effort to be noticeably friendly at all. In fact, as I was taking photos of parts of the store while carefully avoiding getting people in there that wouldn't want to be in the photos to post here on Yelp, the staff actually started getting quite rude towards me in nonverbal language and wanted me out of the establishment as soon as the food was ready... the vibe was super unwelcoming and I won't be back to this location ever. The staff are like zombies and don't have a really trustworthy aura, which makes me distrust the food as they aren't serving it to me with a smile or even any acknowledgement of my efforts to try to like the place. The Baja Chicken sandwich I got was pretty decent but nothing exceptional, and the special sauce they have tastes highly reminiscent of the Thai fish-peanut sauce with some tomato vinaigrette, or something, which wasn't very impressive... the sauce made my fingers sticky like it was the Thai fish-peanut sauce too so it didn't leave a memorable sandwich shop vibe with me. Loved this place for a long time. Recently, my doctor put me on a strict diet for health reasons. No gluten and no milk. My daughter who is gluten-free gets their gluten free wrap all the time. Unfortunately, for me today my sandwich got mislabeled and I ended up eating gluten and dairy after avoiding those foods for over 3 months. I called the store and requested to speak to the manager to let him know. The person who picked up the phone said he was very busy. Lucas, the manager did answer the phone but really did not know what to say. I was very disappointed how this was handled. My favorite Board & Brew location. You have no order one of their French Dips. Not only is the au jus on point, you have to ask for their horseradish on the side. But make sure it's on the side, as it's crazy over the top hot! It's probably the best horseradish I've ever had. Love this place. One of my favorite places to get a sandwich and a beer. The sandwiches run from 11-14 dollars, which is not bad compared to nearby sandwich shops. The sandwich is delicious. The lettuce is always so fresh and well shredded. They also have beer on tap. One of the best tap lists I've seen for this kind of establishment. It tells you how much is left on the keg and which city the beer comes from. The staff is always super friendly. Throughout the week, it is not as busy as it gets on the weekends.
