Little did we know we were pleasantly surprised. We did the 2 meat combo - tri tip and smoked briskets. They were out of burnt ends otherwise we would have done the three meat combo. For our sides, we did the sweet potato and the corn. The meat was very tender, and we really enjoyed it with the several different sauces they provided! On a different occasion, the waitress had mentioned they had one dollar wings and we came back the following week and we order a good amount of wings and we really enjoyed them because they were smoked! Got the 2 meat combo: 1/2 chicken and brisket for the meats and bbq beans and coleslaw for the sides. I also got mac n cheese and cornbread as additional sides. Chicken was tender, nothing mindblowing tbh but good solid chicken, would get again. Brisket was wayyy too fatty, I think it's the fattiest brisket I've ever had. Sure it's tender and juicy but I could distinctly feel all the fat I was chewing which was unappealing. All the sides were pretty solid, none were outstanding but all good enough I'd get again if I'm craving it. Out of all the bbq sauces, I liked eating with the spicy one and sweet one together. Okay, overall experience was GREAT! Had only one issue but that didn't cause bad taste. Inside was a nice ambiance, wide open lots of seating. They even have a nice little patio area. I had been to the one in Orange and had these burnt end, they were so incredibly good but here could have been just the day, but they were kind of dry and hard. If this was my first time having these at sauced, I could probably guarantee I would never get them again. Surprisingly enough parking is a pain here too but there's much more parking if you're willing to walk. Location seemed much smaller than Orange location but portions were much bigger! I had a huge pile of burnt ends and brisket! Flavor wise was the same so if you're craving BBQ just pick the most convenient location. This location doesn't have Axe throwing so if you're into that keep that in mind. Cocktails were OK. We were a bit overwhelmed so we really appreciated the menu breakdown and reccs from Dano! Sauced recently opened in the marketplace and we were curious about it. The concept seems to be a combination of a BBQ place with a sports bar -- half the restaurant is high tables with TVs all around and the other half is lower (regular tables). But it's much brighter than a typical bar. I ordered the jambalaya, and I was pleasantly surprised that's it's real jambalaya -- meaning it's actually rice cooked with vegetables, spices, meat, and stock, rather than the silly gringo version that is basically slightly spicy marinara sauce ladeled over rice (or even noodles). I usually like my jambalaya more New Orleans style with more tomatoes and a little bit wetter... But still pretty good. My son and the brisket and he said it was good. Now that I've enjoyed Sauced three (3) times, I'm ready to say that I can't think a BBQ restaurant with a more creative and innovative menu...and they deliver on the ingredient quality and taste of everything I've had so far. The Charcuterie Pretzel top the list with a huge soft pretzel surrounded by Andouille and Cheddar sausages with pickles, pimento cheese, poblano queso and pub mustard. Wow! What a flavor-packed combo. For our Two-Meat Combo we chose St Louis Ribs and Smoked Brisket. So many places do Baby Back Ribs, so it's great they have these and do them well...meaty and tender. I usually shy away from Brisket, but I thought it sounded good so I gave it a try and was quite pleasantly rewarded with a flavorful, moist brisket. The Chili Mac Baked Potato was a nice surprise, as it had more than just chili...the mac and cheese, onions and sour cream all mixed in there, really made a boring baked potato into a full meal. Last time I wanted a more heart-healthy option so I chose the BBQ Glazed Salmon which was tasty and had creamy mashed potatoes alongside corn succotash. The fried onion strings were a delicious garnish. It also came with cornbread and cinnamon butter. And...I can't forget the Glazed (honey and balsamic) Brussel Sprouts with nice little chicks of pork belly...and again...more onion strings...they really need to make that an appetizer...yum! We've only had takeout, but with very helpful and friendly service. They package everything well, so it ably survives the trip home. I figure it will take at least a dozen more visits to try everything...looking forward to it! read more

It is very similar to Daves Famous BBQ before it, Sauced has a few different items. The staff is kind and attentive. We were seated right away and the food came quickly. We ordered the three meats combo and shared. This meal comes with two sides. It is really one side and cornbread. We got a wedge salad. The food is very good. They have a large selection of drinks if you like that. One item that was especially good was the chili and cornbread. The ribs had a strong smoky flavor which is something I love. There were a few minor let downs that limited this place to four stars out of five. First, they offer no chips or cornbread unless you order it off the menu for $9.00 Based on my experience with other BBQ restaurants, cornbread should be included with the meal. When I ordered my chili, she asked me if I want cheese and onions on top? Of course, I said yes. Then I noticed on my bill I was charged $3.50 for this. Does this sound right? I asked my server, she said nothing is free now days. Okay, you are right. Next time, I will go to Lucilles where the biscuits are free! As many as you want! with incredible honey butter, free! We ordered at 6:27pm, got to the restaurant at 6:40pm, and stood inside the restaurant for more as the food was ready at 7:10pm. Side note, receipt says the food would be ready by 6:47pm. Sauced was a complete letdown. The restaurant was half empty, yet somehow they were already "sold out" of multiple items by the time we ordered -- including ribs and burnt ends. You know... the actual BBQ staples people come here for. If you can't serve your headline dishes, maybe don't pretend you're a BBQ restaurant. Then the service: our drinks came out in random batches, so we couldn't even do a simple cheers together. Basic stuff, botched. And the cherry on top: we tried to order a grilled cheese and were told they ran out of bread (how?) and that they'd send Texas toast instead. Fine. Except then we're told the kitchen refused to make it. Not "we can't," not "it'll be a wait," but refused. So you're out of bread, out of major entrees, and the kitchen just decides it won't make a simple menu item? That's not a restaurant -- that's dysfunction. Opened July 2024, a new bbq joint in the OC. I've been eyeing this place and love a good bbq. The place itself is very spacious and a good crowd for a Friday night dinner. Our server for the night was superb, always checking in, providing great and honest recommendations. He had a great attitude and we had a pleasant conversation. We ordered the 3 meat combo with 2 sides and it was more than enough for 2 people. I would say their best meat is their jalapeno cheddar sausage. The brisket and ribs were pretty good but nothing spectacular. I didn't really like the casserole green beans, it was very runny and lacked flavor. I would go with any other side except this one. Both were yummy. I really liked the Pork Belly because of the spices and Korean flavors. For the entree we decided to share the 3 meat combo. Which definitely feeds two!! We got the brisket, pulled pork and StLouis style ribs. For the sides we chose the waffle fries and Texas toast. We also ordered their corn bread. Overall everything was delicious. My only issue was the brisket was kind of dry. You really have to sop it up with their different BBQ sauces. Brisket was good and the ribs were fall off the bone. So sad. I loved this place a couple of years ago, but it has really gone downhill. The pork in my loaded Mac and cheese was acidic, almost like it was soaked in vinegar, and the whole thing was drowned in sauce. My husband's sausage was dry, and the salad was frozen and thawing. We stopped one late night since we were in the area and wanted to try Sauced since it recently opened. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted by not only the friendly hostess, but also by the fun bbq-joint decor. It wasn't too crowded that night, but it could have been the time of night. We asked our server for some recommendations and we ended up ordering the two meat combo with corn bread and buffalo blue fries as the sides. The food came out pretty quick which was great since we were both hungry. Let's start with the sides. The buffalo blue fries were really tasty and if you are a fan of blue cheese, their blue cheese will definitely please your palette. It was creamy, pungent, but not too overpowering. The corn bread was good, but nothing too special. Moving to the meats. The risk with burnt ends is that they can really end up being burnt, dry, and chew like shoe leather. But, this was not the case with Sauced's brisket burnt ends. They were tender, well smoked, and still had enough moister to remind me that I was eating brisket and not shoe leather. I had a very similar experience with the brisket except the brisket was very moist tender. Overall, the food was pretty good, better than some other bbq joints in the area. The service was friendly and energetic. But, unfortunately I think the prices were a bit too high which really detracted from the rest of the experience. read more

What an incredible find! Literally a taste of home, they nailed the NC BBQ flavors! So thankful we saw them as we drove by on Jamboree Road and I noticed the pig and now open sign. We got the 2 meat combo: the Carolina pulled pork and the burnt ends brisket with choice of two sides the country green beans in pork with the cornbread. Really reasonable price: $48 plus tip for this and kids meal. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Carolina pulled pork is a home run. Literally as a NC native, this was as good if not honestly better than some of the establishments I grew up loving. They captured the Smokey and tangy vinegar authentic Eastern NC BBQ. The green beans were perfect- not soggy or overcooked but not crunchy - literally just right. The cornbread was rustic and fluffy. The kids really enjoyed the chicken and fries. Highly recommend! BBQ COMBO PLATE: 3 MEATS - half-chicken, brisket, ribs. Meats were marinated but they were not tender. Ribs did not fall off the bones at all! Cutting ribs and chicken with the knives given was hard to cut when it should just fall off the bones with simply our forks. Their 3 meats plate is not as good as compare to 4 meats plate at Smoqued California BBQ for similar price. Chicken's outside skin was flavorful/crispy but inside meats tasted dry. I needed to dip meats in sauces here. I rarely have to dip any bbq meats in sauces in other places. Their garlic Texas toast helped make up for the meats. Waffle fries were ok. They got cold quick because of the AC. Server accidentaly served us cornbread then quickly came back and apologized and took it to the right table. I thought it was part of the house where you get bread like Texas Roadhouse but I guess not. My first time here so learn as I go. It might looks small on the outside but it is quite spacious inside. Staff were super nice and friendly. Food came out fast and server kept checking to make sure we have what we need. the AC is strong here so our foods get cold quick. New BBQ spot in the Marketplace! I attended Sauced's soft opening. We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation time, but were sat and waited on immediately. We started off with a Sauced Paloma and a Sauced Old Fashioned to drink. We ordered our appetizer and food, and they both came out within 5 minutes. So fast! I think we had all of our food before our reservation even technically began! For appetizer, we did hush puppies (can't remember the actual name!), they were delicious! They came with a soft, sweet butter that paired wonderfully. My partner and I split a 3 meat plate and we had more than enough food. We probably could've done a 2 meat. We got pulled pork, ribs, and burnt ends. My partner, who is a rib enthusiast, said they were some of the best ribs he'd ever had! The meat fell right off the bone. Pulled pork and brisket were also both amazing. Mac and cheese was pretty run of the mill, but good! The only thing that wasn't great were the green beans.
