I go here a lot for lunch so I can confirm that the food is good. They also take custom orders which is very nice. The atmosphere is also very relaxing. They have a lot of seats and booths along with newspapers. Another thing is that is has a large variety of snacks and drinks. The food was also very tasty. I would recommend the Grille. read more

I really enjoy the food here, chicken bowl is great! Breakfast is better than going to Starbucks but not quite as good as a breakfast restaurant. Salads are decent. Don't get the steak burrito, not worth the price the steak has never been tender. The service is good, people are friendly and efficient. If in a hurry you can order ahead via web or phone. If any allergies they modify without issue. Overall prices are reasonable with a couple overpriced items. read more

I love The Grille. They do breakfast right every time. My favorite is their Huevos Rancheros with extra eggs and side of hamburger patty. I also love their breakfast burrito with carne asada and extra eggs. When I'm trying to be disciplined I just order 4 eggs and Carne Asada. I life when they throw in grilled onions, jalapeños, Pico de Gallo, avocado and salsa. Absolute delight! read more

This is a place on the 1st floor of a high rise building, so I think that's their main clientele - office workers. There are a few tables inside and out, but since I work in the building I just do take out. Get the app and order in advance to avoid any long waits. I usually get the sandwiches - blt, turkey, ham, and they are all good. The ladies are friendly and helpful. As mentioned in other reviews, avoid the 12-1 crowd and you'll be fine. I'm definitely a fan. Been here a few times and each has been a pleasant experience and the food is always satisfying. All the workers are very friendly. Love the front cashier woman, she's super sweet and answers all your questions. The huevos rancheros are really delicious. Also tried eggs over-medium and they were perfect. I really like the sausage patty too but the ultimate best is the hot sauce, omg! It's flavorful and so good with the eggs and the toast and the sausage...I poured it all over everything. Not good, not bad, typical sandwich spot for employees. Came here with a friend because we were on the hunt for the OC weekly paper which we found out was quite hard to find in Irvine. Sandwich was under 5 dollars and came nicely cut into four small triangles, held together by a toothpick and a pickle in the center. Nothing amazing or out of the ordinary but the pickle was a nice addition. Parking is non-existent unless you're an employee or a visitor (1.50 an hour) so you'll probably have to walk from Spectrum parking to here. But to even know about this place, or even be reading this review, you probably are an employee around the area because it's located inside the office building. read more

This place is great. Excellent service, reasonable pricing. I usually get the turkey melt with fries. Friday tacos are awesome...homemade tortilla chips. If I'm in a rush, I order online and pickup. I try to avoid 12-1 which seems to be the busiest time as you'd expect. read more

This place isn't really a restaurant. It's a small hole-in-the-wall establishment with a few tables. It's about the size of a two car garage, too small even for a restroom. You have to use the office building's restroom located outside, then through unmarked double doors and a short walk down a hallway. The Grille is located inside an office building complex. There are outdoor tables and chairs with umbrellas for eating on a warm day, but don't expect any kind of atmosphere. This is the kind of place where workers in the building go during their lunch hour. They do make food there, but nothing to write home about. I ordered an omelette with hashbrowns and toast. By the time I got my order, the coaster thin toast was cold and hard. It reminded me of "Melba" toast, more like cold crackers. It came with little packets of unspreadable ice cold butter. The rest of the order was just OK, palatable. At least the meal was inexpensive, so it wasn't a total loss. By the way, within walking distance directly across the street, is the Irvine Spectrum where we, obviously, should have gone. You can find several very nice restaurants there, like "The Corner Bakery". Oh well, live and learn. read more

I love this place, they recently renovated the grill and its more modern and chic with a black and white theme and menus to match. The owner Chava is super friendly and greets you everyday. The staff is friendly as well and attentive even at their busiest time. I'm surprised there isn't more reviews. The food is fresh and fast and not as expensive as The Spectrum prices. Sometimes I just want a quick snack or two scrambled eggs or some milk for my coffee I can go here and grab it. They're open until 2PM. I'd say it's like home cooking with a Mexican spin on it. A lot of their items are Mexican and their specials too, but they also have classic staples like subs, salads and your typical breakfast items. read more

I have been eating here for years. They have always been kind, and consistent. I order online to get ahead of the crowd and lunch rush, which also enables me to tip (I don't remember being able to tip with card in person). I always call it the "hidden gem of the spectrum" since only people who work at the spectrum tend to know about it. They serve great quality food, at less cost than most places in the area. They also have quite a variety of menu options with great daily specials. Will continue to eat here weekly for as long as I'm in the area! read more

This is a review mainly for breakfast, I have yet to enjoy lunch here! I am a breakfast burrito snob and this place makes one of the best burritos I have ever had in this part of town!!! They do everything right: fresh/REAL ingredients, made to order and they wrap a burrito the CORRECT WAY!! you don't have to worry about the salsa making your burrito soggy! Not at this spot! Five stars. Their bakery items: MADE FRESH AND SO GOOD. Also five stars. Employees: always so kind, especially the gentleman that I think is the main manager, maybe even the owner. I have never once had anything bad here, and that's saying a LOT as I come here at least once a week. Food is typically significantly under $10, even for combo specials, so Yelp is significantly off on their price. I typically order their grill special. It is fast (less than 5 minutes!), a great deal, and it is delicious! This usually comes with a soda, but since I don't drink soda, I usually ask them for a cookie instead. As for my favorite menu items, they tend to change. When I first ate here about 4 years ago, my favorites were their chicken enchiladas and chicken pot pie (which they don't make anymore :( ), and then my favorite became their turkey chili. Now it's their carne asada nachos, which is basically generous amounts of carne asada, their homemade chips, and other toppings drenched in queso. YUM. My mouth is watering as I write it now! I also just tried their taco Friday and it was also soooo good! Their grande breakfast burrito is also fantastic. Service is awesome. Everyone there is really friendly and loves to joke around. As I mentioned before, price is really reasonable. Also, if you buy a gift card, they give you an additional 10%. I usually spend $100 and get $110 added onto the card. read more

I'm so thankful for The Grille. The staff is so welcoming and very nice. They work hard and have a lot of customers between 12-1pm. I just order online and then it's ready at the register to pick up when I arrive. The best items are the chicken fajita wrap (add avocado) and then Avocado Plus sandwich (I add bacon) on a french baguette. Also, all of their breakfast items are amazing! And the chocolate chips cookies are so delicious! Don't expect to walk in between 12-1pm, order and get your food right away. They get very busy. Do yourself a favor and order online. There is a sign near the front door explaining how to do that. And be nice to them. They are the only really great place to get food nearby. On another note, The Patio Cafe opened recently in the Cylance building and they are terrible... which made me appreciate The Grille even more. read more

I don't know who rated this place as $$$$, but it's more $ or $$. It's your average corporate office cafe, deli or what have you. They have the basics...breakfast sandwiches, burritos, pancakes, etc for breakfast and salads, burgers, etc. for lunch. I've only been here twice and ordered the breakfast items. Pretty decent. Not overly delicious but respectable enough to please that hungry palate so you can get your work done the rest of the day. P.S. The customer service isn't bad either. You can call your order in so that when you get there, it's ready. read more

I work in the building next door to this location. This location is super busy during lunch hour. The option to order in advance is available online. I have ordered the avocado plus with chicken noodle soup which was fresh and yummy, BBQ chicken salad was ok, the tortilla carne asada chips were also delicious and large portions. However, when I had the al pastor tacos they gave me heart burns the entire weekend. It was painful. The people working here are friendly and everything is made fresh. However, if you come during lunch be prepared for the long wait. read more

Yummy place to get lunch if you work in the area. Parking is by ticket only, and the Grille DOES validate, but the first 15 minutes are free anyway (in case you're just picking up). Plenty of places to sit inside, or outside. They have weekly specials, and their carne asada nachos and turkey chili are the best! Nachos come loaded with the meat, beans, guac, sour cream, cheese, salsa and jalapenos. Yum! Their chili is on top of a bed of brown rice, and it's served with cornbread. Small, very clean and pleasant coffeehouse servicing primarily one building. I had a meeting scheduled for 10:00 am so I stopped here at 9:30. The coffee (Pete's) is excellent and the blueberry muffin is superior in taste and texture. The Grille also has hot lunch dishes but I did not try. read more

Had their taco Friday special which was 2 tacos and tortilla chips. Tacos were tasty - carne asada and chicken. The tortilla chips seemed to be homemade and fresh. I do not get all the amazing reviews. The Spectrum is across the street and Specialties bakery is a block away. This place is "meh" and nothing more. The coffee is pump, w/o any fresh cream, the grande breakfast burrito was tiny and tasteless, the bacon was cheap, and the egg sandwich was small and not very tasty. I guess if you are stuck in your corporate building w/o any options then you must. I'd rather walk to the Spectrum for other choices, or to Specialties bakery a block away. BTW the ambiance was non existent and the music system was all messes up with static. Epic fail for breakfast. read more
