this place is super cute! i'd wanna come here for lunch or dinner! sadly i only got the coffee: iced golden latte but it was so delish!!! a friend said their pasta here is yummy. i love the way it looks and they have food, coffee and gelato here all in one! the barista/cashier was also nice! :) will definitely come back for the food!

Cute place for breakfast/dinner located in old town. During the day, the cafe is open for things like coffee, pastries, and a small breakfast menu. You walk in and order at the counter, then they'll bring out your order. It looks like dinner is full service, and inside there is a bar with seating as well. Inside and patio are cute and cozy. I only tried the cafe today, since it was about 10 am. I ordered avocado toast with an over-medium egg. It was good, not the best, but good. It was on ciabatta, so maybe that was why. I prefer sourdough but they don't substitute. I also tried the Rosa Italian soda which was ok. Service was friendly at the counter. I think I'd come back here for dinner at some point.

The panini were already known to be the best around for the Italian style, but today, I got to try their avocado toast and Italian waffle, and both actually blew me away!! The bread that the avocado toast comes on is super duper soft yet nice and thick for a super satisfying way to eat some avocado, which also has some nice seasoning which includes salt, something lemony, and a few other spices on top. The Italian waffle is essentially a super soft yet extremely tasty Liege waffle that is better than any other Liege waffle I've ever eaten. The staff are friendly and probably are doing their best. It's still a bit crowded in the cafe area due to the geometries of the layout, but there's a really comfortingly Italian vibe nonetheless.

Breakfast burrito w/ bacon, Banana Matcha (Left), Matcha Cinnamon (Right)

For breakfast I ordered a breakfast burrito with crumbled bacon, a banana matcha from the Summer menu, and a Cinnamon Matcha from the secret menu. You could never go wrong with a breakfast burrito, but this one is one of my favorites! I like how there's a hint of crunch from the hash brown inside of the burrito and everything melts so well altogether. The cinnamon matcha is definitely up in my top 10! It's sweet, smooth, and a cozy drink. I would make sure to stir the drink so the kick of the cinnamon spice won't hit the back of your throat too hard. The banana matcha wasn't too strong on the banana flavor and did a great job balancing with the matcha. It's a great addition to the summer menu!

This is such a quaint cafe! It is small and cozy but they have a good amount of seating. The staff is really nice. We ordered a gelato flight with strawberry, salted caramel, pistachio, and chocolate. The presentation was really cute! Strawberry- Light and refreshing. You can really taste the strawberry flavor and get plenty of fruit pieces. Salted Caramel- This has a deep caramel flavor with a hint of sea salt at the end. Rich and satisfying! Pistachio- This was delightfully creamy with a good pistachio flavor. I appreciate that it wasn't overly sweet. Chocolate- If you're looking for chocolatey goodness, this is it. It had a mild sweetness and a deep cocoa flavor. Great experience overall!

A hidden gem! It's a restaurant and coffee shop as well with its own parking lot out in front. I came here on a Friday morning for a quick catch up with a friend and the 'restaurant' dining area is open for seating (lots of tables!) since the restaurant doesn't open until lunch time. The menu is what you would expect and they also have some seasonal offerings. They have both food and drink -- Food was great and affordable! Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a place to meet up with friends. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available - more indoor seating though. The outdoor seating is a bit cramped outside.

Very nice place, cute ambiance, nice and fast service, but what it really impressed us was the carbonara pasta! Wow, very delicious and unique. Our server was very nice, he help is in all and was able to rich all our needs. The place is always full so waiting time can be more than 10 minutes but once you are inside they are very fast. Good staff storico

Stopped in to grab a mocha to go before the improv show down the street (per a recommendation) and am so glad I did. Quite the quaint little Java bistro with a great menu. Also very excited to go back to try the gelato which I was so excited to see they had. This lil cafe was also attached to an Italian restaurant whose aromas of garlic and fresh tomato's brought me back to authentic Sunday pasta dinners at my grandma's house. And to think I was just "going to grab a cup of joe" somewhere and wound up being teleported to a little village in Sicily. Will definitely go back for a longer experience and dinner next time.

Charming cafe with cozy vibes. Staff were nice and attentive. I had the matcha latte with a hint of pistachio. Frittata was fluffy on the inside but needed some salt and good with their salsa. Sourdough bread was great, i asked for some butter. Always nice to have some greens with my meals, in this case the arugula which i prefer with a drizzle of olive oil. Hubbs got the small burrito and ice coffee. Standard for him. Very impressed with how our food stayed hot the whole time we ate.

Caccio e pepe with a side of grilled chicken

Awesome service as you walk in. It wasn't as busy as it usually looks, maybe because it was a Tuesday evening. We were seated right away, we chose to sit in the café. We ordered the caccio e pepe with a side of grilled chicken. The pasta is all made in house. You can definitely tell, just by the bite of the pasta. The the sauce was not overly salty like some caccio e pepe can be; a good balance with the pepper. The chicken was well seasoned too. We ended up ordering the cinnamilk latte as well. Simple but delicious. Definitely look forward to coming back soon

Not only do I enjoy coming here for an authentic Italian dinner but breakfast is great too! Splurged and enjoyed the sugary lattes this morning- s'mores and peach but ultimately prefer a simple espresso drink on most days. The bakery items came out fresh from the oven so my Nutella cornetto was warm, flakey and delicious. The patio and inside space are perfect spots to hang out for coffee with friends. And thank you to the cashier for the recommendations!

I love this place! One of my favorite local spots, I try to go once a week! Every latte I've tried has been so yummy. Staff is friendly and service is quick. I usually go in the mornings on the weekends, sometimes it can be packed but a great place overall.

We sat in here one afternoon while waiting for the full restaurant to open. Had coffee, a pastry, a salad, and even a bottle of wine we bought there. Everything was excellent. Oh, I almost forgot, we enjoyed all that while playing Uno with cards that were just sitting there. They thought of everything. Even if not there for the best pasta of your life next door, I highly recommend the Cafe. Everything we had was reasonably priced and the casual vibe of the table and chairs, the couch, and the patio seats is worth coming back for again and again.

What is the difference between this restaurant and the one next door? Same owner?

Pozzuoli family winery in San Miguel owns both. Storico does cafe, brunch, gelato, and pasta. Centro does pizza, dessert and beer. Both have wine and appetizers.

Favorites: - Butter Pecan: sourdough donut dipped in a brown butter maple glaze and topped with roasted pecan toffee pieces. This is probably their best donut, which is a difficult thing to say, but it's hard to compete with that buttery pecan-toffee streusel and the wonderfully umami brown butter glaze. Perfect balance of sweet and salty. - Banoffee: a sourdough donut topped with homemade banana pudding, banana whipped cream, toffee sauce, and streusel. The banana pudding is delicious and rich, no cutting corners here! It is definitely a sweet treat though; a bit too sweet for me. Seasonal Favorites: - April 2026 Carrot Cake: sourdough donut with cream cheese glaze, and topped with a slice of carrot cake made with pineapple and pecan. Super decadent, perfect carrot cake made the way it should be. Wonderfully rich and thick cream cheese glaze. Note: They often have donuts made with fresh, seasonal fruit glazes, like passionfruit, strawberries, peaches, guava, cranberry. Because the glazes are made in-house, with real fruit, they can be tart and sweet at once, which may not be preferable to those with a sweet tooth.

The hospitality here is evident the moment you walk in. Staff were ready to take our order, answer questions and even checked to see if our drinks were to our liking. Think fashionable design meets European charm for the interior atmosphere, right down to the plates. Morning Lavender offers table seating as well as booths and can accommodate large parties for events. Now for the good stuff- let's talk an Iced Mocha with extra chocolate and an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The Mocha with extra chocolate was indulgent and velvety with the espresso seamlessly intertwined. A decadent treat to enjoy as the morning started to warm up into the afternoon. Just a suggestion for those who enjoy the richer side of coffee and espresso. A dash of a bit more cream would've added that refined richness. The star of the morning was definitely the Iced Chia Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The description of cold cream hardly captures and embodies what this Banana Cold Foam really is. Think lusciously thick banana smoothie topping off your drink. Impossibly creamy and bursting with ripe banana. Crowning the drink sat a slice of banana bathed on one side in a caramelized sauce similar to crème brûlée. Crunchy peanuts generously scattered on top, making an irresistible contrast in texture. Overall, we had an enjoyable afternoon, as the overall aesthetic is delightful and having the boutique connected adds such a fun element to the visit. We really enjoyed browsing the selection of clothes, candles, jewelry, and painting books. As for the tea and food, the warm scones and tea were lovely highlights, the smoked salmon sandwich was exceptionally yummy, and the rose macaron stood out with its fragrant flavor. However, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. While the smoked salmon was great, the chicken sandwich was difficult to chew due to too many nerves and the mini donuts felt a bit stale. We also noticed a few maintenance issues, including a visibly dirty/stained booth seat and a teacup given to one of our guests that was broken on the bottom. Service was another area that could use some improvement. For a party of six, the staff felt somewhat inattentive, leaving several people at our table waiting for long periods to get hot water refills. This unfortunately hindered the amount of tea we were able to enjoy during our visit. Morning Lavender has wonderful potential with its beautiful environment and delicious flavors, but with a bit more proactive service and attention to detail, the experience could be truly exceptional.
