If you're searching for the perfect raised donut then look no further! Oliboli is my go-to place for super airy raised artisanal donuts. There is no yeast used here but rather the dough is naturally leavened and fermented for 40 hours to achieve that insanely light fluffy texture. Each donut is fried and glazed to order so you're getting them at peak freshness. They're not greasy at all, but sometimes they're al little heavy handed on the glaze so I ask for it them to go easy on it. Service has always been kind and friendly. The price may seem steep at $5-6 per donut (depending on the flavor) but it's oh so worth it!
I'm in love! Never had sourdough donuts, tried them here, and it's my favorite kind of donuts now! The dough definitely doesn't taste sour at all, in fact it's super airy and fluffy. The actual donuts came out double times bigger than display too haha Blueberry glazed donut: fruity and not too tart, very balanced. Can never go wrong with this one if it's your first time Passion fruit fool: their seasonal, I love the tropical flavor! The jam and fresh passion fruit is super yummy Banoffe: I was scared the banana nuttiness will be too overpowering, it's actually not. Cream is light and not too concentrated. Ham and cheese: absolutely my favorite. Had a great cheese pull, comes with a mustard sauce that pairs well with the savory flavor. It breaks my traditional view on donuts. There are so many kinds I want to try still, so I will be back. Plenty seats inside and they do get busy and has a line. Signed up for their reward program and marketing so I can catch all their seasonal flavors. I think they refresh every month.
40 hour sourdough fermented donuts that are made fresh to order and change monthly?! What more does a person really need?! The seasonal drinks are just as divine and inspired by California seasonal offerings. I have managed 3 donut shops in my lifetime and make donuts for fun at home, so to say I'm a donut enthusiast would be an understatement. I know a good donut when I have one and these are spectacular. You can taste that everything is homemade in house and it truly makes a difference. The decor is always cute and the staff are always friendly. Though their regular/non-rotating donut flavors are just as good (the butter pecan, plain, chocolate glazed and bumbleberry), if I'm making the drive all the way out here, I prioritize their monthly flavors first. Next time you find yourself in the OC area, swing by and grab a dozen or two to share with friends.
These donuts are amazing! It came out warm and had nice crisp edges. It's made of yeast so it's soft and fluffy on the inside. Less dense than other donuts. I got the vanilla glaze which has just then perfect amount of sweetness. The staff was really nice and my donut came out pretty quickly. They also have a good selection of unique seasonal flavors! Can't wait to come back and try the other flavors :)
I decided to check out Oliboli Donuts based on one of my co-worker's recommendation. I ordered online in advance so that I can just grab and go. When I arrived, I noticed the establishment seemed pretty busy from the outside. There is a fair amount of parking available. It's a cute establishment on the inside. Not very big, but it is just a donut and coffee shop. Talk about busy! People were standing in a long line to order. I quickly saw the sign for pick-up and headed straight there. I was immediately greeted by one of the staff who was extremely friendly. I gave her my name and she handed me my order. The price for each donut ranges from $4.75 to $8.95. Their pepperoni pizza is $13.95. Their donuts are made from yeast using a 40-hour process. I ordered the raspberry glazed, meyer lemon glazed, and vanilla ricotta. The donuts are huge, which I love. However, when I ate them, it was pretty underwhelming. I might be biased because I'm used to cake-based donuts, but I felt them to be bland and dry. The toppings I thought would give it the sweetness I desired, but it didn't help much unfortunately. It was pretty much like eating bread with minimal amount of sweetness from the toppings. I'm glad I gave Oliboli a shot and tried their donuts. The service is great, but the donuts, not so much. I'm going to stick with the old fashioned donuts.
This place was highly recommended by friends and it did not disappoint. I love that these are sourdough donuts and they share what kind of ingredients they use. They are made to order and are fresh when they come out. Eat them fresh, they don't taste the same after a couple hours. Also, employees are very accommodating and know allergens which was helpful. The shop is cute and there is some seating but not a ton. They also have coffee and tea. We ordered the sprinkle, glaze and strawberry and the strawberry was amazing. So light and fluffy and tasted like real strawberries.

The dough is crispy on the outside but has a chewy soft and moist texture on the inside similar to sourdough and the warm melting glaze just tops it all off. Since they are made to order it does take about 10-15 minutes for your donuts to be ready. I wasn't aware it was made to order and the workers were kind enough to prioritize my order since I was in a rush. Place itself is pretty spacious with a couple seating inside. Came in at 8:30 on a Friday night and it was pretty packed
I think these are my favorite doughnuts in California right now! They were huge and so soft since they are made to order. A hot doughnut really makes everything better. We had the passionfruit (my favorite), glazed (second favorite), muddy buddy (third favorite), pecan (fourth favorite), and banoffee (last place but that doesn't mean it's not good). Since they are made to order, don't expect to run in and out quickly, they do take some time to make.

The ambiance is always welcoming and well lit, clean, with ample tables and chairs to sit while you wait for your made-to-order donuts--a special blend that cannot be compared to others! My apologies. The Banoffe is not shown in this post. I've already devoured it before this review. I couldn't resist the temptation, Can you?

My favorite was the glazed rainbow sprinkle. However, I am taking 1 star off because I wasn't a huge fan of the heavier donuts like the blueberry ricotta. The service was very friendly and there are seats inside if you want to eat there. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the flavors!!

The texture is amazing! These donuts are made to order, so you'll have to wait a bit. But they are served warm and oh-so-good. The donut itself is fluffy and warm and almost flaky? It feels like eating a really delicious donut/fluffy bread hybrid. What a unique dough! The glazes are great too. It'll come down to which flavors you enjoy the most as they are all tasty. I had the lemon glazed one which was great, but I did want a punchier lemon flavor. I ended up really enjoying the chocolate donut (which checks out for me cuz I'm a chocoholic) and my husband loved the strawberry one. Great donuts! Wouldn't get it all the time since it's a bit of a splurge and they're quite large, but I'd definitely get some again!
A cute shop with specialty made-to-order donuts! You can't go wrong with any of the flavors, but my favorites were the butter pecan and banoffee. The donuts are made fresh, so they come out perfectly warm and chewy. The honey cinnamon latte was a little on the sweet side, but the staff was so nice that it could've been easily fixed if I had ordered it less sweet. The parking lot is a little small but I've never had issues finding a spot. I loved the interior and the floral decor hanging from the ceilings!
Holy moly Oliboli! Seriously the best donut I've ever had, i didn't even know it was possible to rank a donut as #1. They're fried fresh to order, and come out warm and delicious. I tried the pumpkin glaze and it was absolute heaven. I also ordered an iced Americano as well which was a great combo with the donut to balance out the sweetness. Inside the place is surprisingly spacious, and they have tables and chairs outside as well. Service was excellent, everyone I interacted with was great. Definitely coming back here soon! read more
As others have said, these are light fluffy donuts with an artisan twist to them. It seems that they fry up most donuts after you order so to say they are fresh is an understatement. Tried 3 different ones: Chocolate glazed, lemon and some vanilla bean one. All very good. Still warm after driving home so definitely made to order. Service is very good and efficient. Places to sit and enjoy your treat inside. Gotta go back and try more things and a coffee.. the menu looked pretty tasty. read more
Came here for an afternoon pick-me-up after hearing about it from a friend who says this is their favorite donut shop. Got the bumbleberry glazed and enjoyed it in-store. The donut itself was huge (ended up using a fork and knife which you can grab yourself along with napkins and water cups). Store is nice and clean + gets a lot of natural sunlight. I personally thought the donut was a bit too airy - the fluffiness depended a bit too much on air rather than the dough texture. I thought I could taste a slight nice tang from the sourdough, but I may have imagined it (it is was so faint). I did like the crispness of the outside due to it being fried fresh and the berry flavors of the glaze really came through! read more

There's a reason why this place gets so much hype, and it's probably because most of their donuts are made fresh to order, and the creativity of these donuts are top notch! My friends and I wanted to try a variety, so we got 8 different kinds, and did a taste test of our own at home. We got the: bumbleberry glazed, banoffee, butter pecan, Harry's berry strawberry glazed, ricotta and apricot jam, and PBJ. We also added a bonus savory pizza one. Oliboli is popular for their sourdough donuts, which is similar to the Cambodian-style fluffy donuts. As someone who prefers cake donuts, I did find them to be really fluffy, delicious, and light! Of the 8 sweet ones we tried, my top favorites had to be the butter pecan and banoffee. The butter pecan was a sweet and salty flavor, and the banoffee had strong flavors of banana and coffee. The rest were all on the overly sweet side for me, but the fluffiness kind of balances out the sweetness? The bonus pizza one was also a huge favorite of mine! It was kind of like a fluffy hot pocket, but tasted perfect and not too salty. Each donut was about $5-8, and the pizza one was about $13. It does seem pretty pricey for donuts, but they are novelty donuts, so it makes sense. read more
First timer! Came in on a Saturday afternoon. Found parking right away. Not too busy. Really cute shop and very clean. Plenty of tables both indoor and outdoor. Really enjoyed sitting inside. Friendly staff - Zach was really helpful with recommendations. They fry the donuts fresh after you order so it takes a few minutes to come out. Was really surprised and happy to hear they're made out of sourdough! My husband and I were BLOWN AWAY by how delicious they were. Airy, light, not too sweet, perfection. I used to live in this area and was in town so I decided to stop by. It's a small place with cut decor. The staff member that helped me was sweet and very helpful. There were several I wanted to try. I guess these donuts are made with sourdough and are fried to order. Bumbleberry: it's really goods you can taste the berries that had a bit of tang to it which balances everything out. 4.75 stars Bananoffee: I love bananas. This kinda reminds me of banana pudding. It was good but the whipped topping was a bit much for me. Still very tasty though. 4 stars Both donuts were still warm and airy. I've never had such an airy fresh donut. Quite different and delicious. I'm definitely coming back when I'm back in town. read more

The donuts range from about $5.50 to $7 each - pricier than your average donut shop but the quality is evident in every bite. We waited about 8-10 minutes after ordering since there were a few people ahead of us, but the fresh-to-order experience made the wait worthwhile. My favorite was the Butter Pecan (not a flavor I'd normally choose). It had great flavor/texture and even had a hint of saltiness at the end of each bite . The Strawberry Glaze made with Harry's strawberries was another standout; fresh-tasting and flavorful without any artificial sweetness. Parking is shared with neighboring businesses. We visited on a Friday afternoon and had no trouble finding a spot, but the lot is fairly small and will likely get crowded during peak hours and weekends. read more

Insane donuts these are definitely one of a kind donuts. Top ranking for us was definitely the sprinkle donut but runner up has to be the classic glazed donut. The chocolate donut is not very sweet but it tastes very luxurious. I was really surprised with how fast they came out with how many people were inside ordering and waiting for their donuts. They come out PIPING HOT don't use those plastic forks if you're trying to sneak a bite they will melt We decided to wait till we got back to the house 10 mins away and they were still warm paired with some milk omg it was a perfect way to end our night There's plenty of parking outside and the crowds come and go don't be intimidated just go try Oliboli read more

This is especially delicious to enjoy with someone bc it's just enough to satisfy your craving, but still leaving you wanting more; it always makes me look forward to when I'll have it again. Super bummed about Oliboli. Got the banana, cinnamon sugar and maple. Basically these things all seem like the same base and they put different glazes on them. They are kind of just big, firm, bready donuts. And the proportion of dough is way off with the tiny bit of glaze they put on each. And I could not taste the maple or banana.... so really faint flavors here. It's a monotonous thing to eat. Is there something I'm not getting here? Anyway Sidecar and The Goods are leaps and bounds better. read more

pros: fried fresh to order, self serve water/condiments/utensils station, quick service cons: it's not "asian sweet", small parking lot Friendly quick service! Tables are clean and plentiful to eat at. We got the lavender sugar, plain glazed, and chocolate glazed. Lavender sugar was our favorite, the sugar mixture had a bit of salt in it so it was a good balance, asian sweet approved. surprisingly plain glazed was sweeter than the chocolate glazed. Chocolate glazed also had hints of salt. All 3 were very fluffy, airy, and soft, not oily at all! Vanilla bean latte was a good choice to balance out the doughnuts, vanilla flavor didn't taste artificially sweetened. read more

This might be my new favorite doughnut spot! I saw this place listed as one of the top donut shops in Orange County, so I had to see for myself. The inside was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. I've heard the lines can get long, but we came on a saturday morning and there was barely a wait. They had a good selection of donuts with flavors for everyone. Service was quick and efficient with no complaints. The donuts are fried to order and honestly came out way faster than expected. We also grabbed coffee, I got the maple shaken espresso and it was really good. Strong coffee flavor, creamy, and not overly sweet. Now for the best part... the donuts! They were hot and pillowy soft just melted in your mouth! My favorite was the strawberry glazed, sooo good! If you're in Tustin, I'd say this is one of the best donut spots in the area! read more

Love that they make their donuts fresh to order and that they're sourdough! They have such unique flavors and really enjoyed the Banoffee donut. They are expensive, but the donuts are huge. They also have a savory option such as a fried pizza one. Service was pretty quick, and everyone was nice. There's a free small parking lot in front of the place since it's in a plaza. Donuts are one of my favorite pleasures in life. This place, discovered accidentally while out for other responsibilities in the area, was a delight. The delicious donuts did have a clean, fresh taste - and they did make them once we'd ordered, so very fresh. Light, cheery, and clean ambiance with tables inside and a few outside. Great selection of donuts! I ordered a cinnamon sugar and a glazed. My husband ordered the cardamom bun and bambleberry (I think that's what they were called). These donuts are unique, huge, and tasty! I could taste a light flavor of sourdough, which is the base dough for all the donuts. I'm not a sourdough fan, but it was so faint that it only added to the flavor. So that worked. We ate two served warm. The other two we ate later in the day, and they tasted great at room temperature, too. This is a great donut place. Creative and excellent. read more

was excited to try this place but the donuts were just ok for how much they costed lol. i do like the fact they make the donuts on the spot - but i think maybe bc of that, my donuts were a bit "soggy" as they were still too hot to cool down properly in the box. would try again though to see if it lives up to the high reviews. read more

I wished I lived closer to Oliboli Donuts as they have the freshest yeast donuts in Orange County. Personally, I'm a cake donut kind of girl, but the fluffiness and deliciousness of Oliboli's sourdough yeast donuts have me rethinking my allegiance to cake donuts. We came on a Sunday afternoon and I was immediately drawn to their case of yummy and aesthetically pleasing looking donuts. I ended up going with the "Bumbleberry Glazed" ($5.50) which is a combination of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry glaze atop of their 40 hour fermented sourdough yeast donut. Their donuts are fried to order so mine arrived perfectly warm and is definitely one of the best yeast donuts I've ever had. Service is friendly, and the shop is clean with ample amount of indoor and some outdoor seating so you can enjoy your donut right then and there. I called to ask if you still make a vegan treat but got forwarded to an order sight and hung up on. I have no idea if you still make a vegan donut but won't be heading there right now? 🤷🏻♀️

Does anyone know when Oliboli Donuts will have their Oliboli mini donut bites/holes? I was able to get it once (I don't remember what month) and ever since (I've been back two or three times), they always tell me it's seasonal.

Yes they are... and they are warm in the box... the most amazing donuts I've ever had!!!
Do they make their own dough?
Yes. We use a 40 hour fermentation for our dough, made from scratch in house!
Is there any gluten free donuts?
They've never had gluten free donuts available whenever I've visited (vegan-yes, gf-no). Their yeasted doughnuts require 40 hours of proofing so it's possible that the yeast has converted much of the gluten. But I recommend you get that confirmed.
Is Chai latte discontinued?
They don't have a chai donut but they do still offer chai lattes on their drink menu (not sure which you are referring to)
How's their coffee?
I had the Americano during my last visit. It was good. Doesn’t have the overextract acidity so the brew time is right. Not sure what type of beans are used, it was on the nutty side and less on the fruity. Aroma is plenty.
