    Ube Coconut Latte
    Aliya P.

The place is extremely cute!! The cookies are delicious too just a little expensive. I also got the ube coconut latte it was EXTREMELY sweet. The staff was really really amazing and I asked him if I could get it less sweet and even when it was remade to a lesser sweetness, it was still too sweet for me to be able to drink it unfortunately. But I do plan on coming back and asking for 20% sweetness this time.

Located in a shopping center with free parking. The have a few tables and have some outlets available for a charging station. Déco is nice. The staff is fine I guess. They seem to pick and choose who they greet when walking in. Not very welcoming nor friendly with everyone again, noticed with some they were with others they were not. I found it interesting that their box in which they provide the cookie in recommends to eat when warm even includes instructions on how to warm up claiming better when warm... and yet I was not give the choice if wanted it warm or as is. I just assumed it would be warmed but to my surprise was cold. Had to go ask them to warm it up. However aside of that the food itself was tasty. Got the Portuguese Egg Tart Cookies & Cream Classic and Latte

Gorgeous interior with plenty of close parking. Surprised with how busy it was even during a weekend afternoon, and unfortunately couldn't get a place to sit. Their Kyoto Fog was decent, though I wished I went for something a little bit more adventurous. My drink came out quite quickly and I enjoyed it at the tables outside of the establishment. Would want to try their egg tarts or cookies next time.

Was very excited to see another place sell Portuguese egg tarts and they did not disappoint! They had the perfect balance of crunch and caramelized top, and it was true to Portuguese egg tarts without the filling being too eggy like the Chinese egg tarts. Delicious! Also tried a unique drink I saw on the menu - Blueberry Yuzu Double Matcha. The idea is there, but the combination of yuzu with the blueberry was too unique for my personal liking. The yuzu did also overpower the overall taste. I like yuzu but this combination was just a little too strange, not clashing but also not great. Lastly got the Coconut Matcha Tiramisu which was also delicious. It was a little sweet for me though so couldn't eat too much in one seating. I liked the coconut and macadamia nut toppings as it adds a nice crunch. Staff were friendly and overall great ambiance!

Paderia totally lives up to all of it's hype!!! It's located in The Square busy shopping plaza ~ between Main St. & MacArthur Blvd..next to Pasta Viva & nearby Nektar & Starbucks. Parking is plentiful, however, the plaza can get busy during working/business hours due to the surrounding corporations..so heads up! The staff is super welcoming & friendly. They are efficient & the lines move quickly. The decor is uber modern and ambience is nice & chill. They are known for their quality baked goods. I especially love their cookies & Portuguese egg tarts. The creamy custard center and crispy flakey pastry & carmelized top is absolutely PERFECTION! My fav/go-to cookie is the chocolate walnut. RxFoodie tip! Ask for it warmed up ~ it's yummy, crispy on the outside & perfectly gooey inside. It's baked w/ imported Belgian chocolate, which makes it so decadent and paired perfectly w/ the pecans & walnut bits. It's heavenly. I haven't tried their drinks or other specialty desserts yet, but it's tempting..maybe next time. A solid bakery to try & high recommend!!!

Hell yeah, I just had a blast the night before and was super hungover.. I stopped by here around 3PM on a Sunday and was still completely out of it recovering.. I was greeted by a nice barista and asked what's popular as I'm dying and trying to be coherent. She told me it was between the horchata or ube and I decided to go with the ube. The lighting and design of this place is very modern and aesthetic. There's many mirrors to take pictures and take selfies with your coffee but I chose the lather and decided not to do that . Good pricing, good service and quick! I'd definitely be back!

Located in a plaza just a block from the 405 and John Wayne Airport, I made a special trip to this place after a friend treated me to some cookies she got at their Santa Monica location. This location is much closer to home, so I visited one afternoon when craving their cookies. The interior is modern, classy-bougie, with 4 tables and a large cushy chair. I ordered two cookies, the chocolate chip walnut and peanut butter chocolate, along with an iced horchata latte. I sat at one of the tables, opened the box my cookies were presented in, and found myself in cookie ecstasy. The cookies are fat mountains of deliciousness. Slightly crisp outside and soft inside (note: even softer if taken home and warmed up). The chocolate chip was crammed full of chips and the walnuts were in tiny bits to keep the cookie's texture soft. The chocolate cookie was also enormous and had an abundance of peanut butter chips. Both were superb. The horchata latte had just enough ice to keep it cold. It had a bold flavor of cinnamon which I loved. Staff here were friendly, efficient, and speedy. I like the vibe of this place but like their cookies even more.

Food: - Vietnames coffee: strong! and on the sweeter side - Ube coffee: decent balance of ube and coffee flavors - Peanut butter cookie: large and packed with peanut butter chips; pricier than other large cookie stores Parking/ambiance: - Located in a strip mall, plenty of parking - Helpful employees

This is my 3rd time at a Paderia location. Normally I hit the one in Fountain Valley. This location had cookies I didnt see in FV. Maybe I wasn't paying attention but it caught my eye. I only wanted the latte but these cookies were callin me, so of course I had to pick up that phone! First the service. 5* - The one customer in front of me was being indecisive and took way too long, but this is not the faultof the restaurant. What I loved is that the person behind the counter was super genuine and nice. She saw I was waiting patiently for the customer and went above and beyond to help me bypass the wait. I chose to be patient as I wasn't in a rush. Thank you though! The Latte 5* - Sea Salt Caramel Latte. I picked something I've had many times before and mostly just wanted the caffeine. Absolutely wonderful latte. The foam, the caramel, the coffee. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. The Cookies - Cookies-n-cream 5*. This blew me away. Its their most popular item. There were samples and before I could stop myself, I had 3 samples. Lol so gooood! Warmed my cookie up when I got home and it got even better than 5*. - Pistachio Cookie 5* This was so good. If it had a chocolate shell on the outside it would've been a Dubai Chocolate Cookie and sold for 3x the price. ( Hint hint Paderia! ) I love how both cookies were exactly the same in chewy texture and quality, and so different in flavor and experience. So good I ate both in one day. Keep it up, Madeira! Ill be back!

To crave our sweet tooth found this while in the area. Inside is an IG worthy interior with couches, chic chairs, and a cool display case for their goods. The menu has variety, from banana pudding to cookies to a variety of drinks. What we got: - PB chocolate cookie - this thing is massive and rich. I was hoping for a softer center and crunchier exterior, but it's kind of dense. Overall a great cookie. There's plenty of other ones to try next time! - matcha latte - nothing to write home about. The matcha wasn't overly powerful, though I appreciate that it wasn't sweetened like other places do, which can mask the flavor. - banana pudding - super fresh and perfectly ripe bananas. The pudding isn't overly sweet. - ensaymada - tasty and huge! Things come out quick here so that's a nice perk. Next door was a popular pasta spot (which we got takeout for my FIL) - so a good one two combo if in the area.

This place is really good. Had the egg tarts countless of times and it never disappoints. The banana bread was really good. Must try both. The employees and the ambiance is nice.

Good vibes, love the space and the ambiance. You can order from a kiosk or a human which is nice depending on your preference. My drink was made correctly but in the wrong size (too small) and once I mentioned it to them upon pickup, they completely remade it and gave me the smaller one also since they'd just be throwing it away, so that was a nice surprise! The customer service was great and there were lots of people casually hanging out or on laptops. I ended up getting the coconut matcha a couple days in a row. I liked how lite it was, and it was good but felt like something was missing... couldn't put my finger on it - not sure if it was the type of coconut water being used or that it wasn't sweetened with anything (it seemed) which is all to preference. It was good enough for me to go back a second day and get it again. The second day was better by the way! I love how they also serve some delicious treats daily! The prices are decent, Try them out if you're ever close to the John Wayne airport!

YYUUUUUMMM! Love love their cookies! And their coffee is great too. I've been back a few times and have tried every flavor of cookie and each one in delicious. Your favorite will ultimately decide on what your preferences are. Each cookies is super THICC, with a crisper, crunchier outside, and a gooier center. If you want to be wowed with just how fancy cookies can get, this is your place. My favorite is the triple chocolate, sea salt chocolate chip, or chocolate chip walnut, depending on my mood. I've also tried their ensaymada! As a Filipino, I enjoyed their take on a more upscale ensaymada. I did wish the bread was a little more pillowy and fluffy. I've also had a few of their coffees which are all also great. I had their seasonal dubai chocolate inspired latte which was called the Dark Chocolate Pistachio Latte. I really enjoyed it and it was basically dessert in a cup with coffee. Lastly, I also love the vibe of the place! They usually have some free samples up at the pick up window along with water. Service is usually great and quick. I've been multiple times to hang out with people and the vibes are always great. ILY PADERIA!

Hui Lau Shan -- Mangoes, Brain Freeze & One Bee Awaiting the Hereafter…read more 9/7/26 -- Irvine, CA -- 5/5 After Korean BBQ, we arrived at Hui Lau Shan -- pronounced roughly hoy lo sahn in Cantonese -- already stuffed to the structural limits of the human abdomen. Naturally, this seemed like an appropriate time for dessert. Hui Lau Shan is a Hong Kong-based dessert chain heavily devoted to mango, which is immediately apparent from the display case filled with glossy dessert mannequins identified by little tags like "J3 Pomelo & Mango with Sago." The place knows its constituency. If mango is your religion, this is at minimum a chapel. The Irvine location itself is remarkably unpretentious: cracked, slightly sticky-looking concrete floors, deafening music that sounded approximately 15 years past its cultural sell-by date, and a youthful crowd containing several people whose legs appeared skinnier than my fingers. I felt less like a customer and more like an archaeological specimen temporarily admitted for observation. Being the radical nonconformist that I am, I came to a mango dessert shop and ordered the watermelon with coconut jelly. On a hot Irvine day, it was excellent -- cold, clean, refreshing and just sweet enough. 5/5. The little yellow Hui Lau Shan spoon, complete with cheerful fruit-headed mascot, provided an additional level of emotional support I did not know dessert utensils were capable of. We also had the J3 Pomelo & Mango with Sago, which arrived as mango, pomelo, sago and a scoop of mango ice cream lounging together in a bowl like wealthy relatives at a resort. Also 5/5. Cold enough to initiate a brain freeze, but on this particular evening brain activity had already been reduced considerably by KBBQ, so little was lost. The ordering system is straightforward: your receipt gives you an order number and server name, and the display samples make choosing fairly idiot-resistant. Ours even identified the J3 and the watermelon dessert clearly enough that no graduate degree in tropical fruit studies was required. There was, however, one melancholy resident inside the display case: a small bee apparently trapped behind the plastic among the immaculate fake desserts. Outside, Irvine remained warm and prosperous. Inside, mangoes glistened. The young remained young. The bee contemplated mortality. Los Angeles throws pollution into the atmosphere at rush hour; Hui Lau Shan throws mango into essentially everything else. A very good dessert stop after an irresponsibly large meal. Especially if you love mango, shaved ice, fruit desserts and the mild humiliation of realizing everyone around you appears young enough to be your intern. 5/5. If you are a mango lover, you will probably leave happy. If you are a dying bee trapped behind the dessert display, your evening is developing somewhat differently.

My family and I have been patrons of Cream Pan in Tustin for nearly two decades now, even before…read morethe TikTok strawberry croissant craze and even before it opened more locations like in Fountain Valley and Lomita. The quality has just been so utterly consistent. These baked goods truly taste rustic and homemade; I believe the freshness is guaranteed and everything is baked daily. I always buy the shuku pan to make sandwiches my daily lunches and the country bread/sourdough for my avocado toast and breakfasts. The sandwiches made in-house are also recommended especially the chicken katsu and the assorted ham/tuna/egg salad. I like the croquette and egg salad in a bun especially. All of these are savory and flavorful yet subtle. I also recommend any of the pastries including curry pan, melon pan, and of course the strawberry croissants but beyond that I also really like the strawberry banana croissant and blueberry croissant. There is also a selection of drinks made in-house café-style as well as bottled Japanese drinks. The staff are friendly and I really like the space even though it's small. You can find seating outside especially if you avoid rush hours. Of all the three locations, this one is my favorite because it's so rustic and historic and really fits in with the overall vibe and aesthetic of Old Town Tustin and the El Camino Real. Please check this bakery out; it's one of the best in all of SoCal in my opinion.

The portions across the board are generous, high-quality, and worth every penny.  As you can see from my previous review, their chicken katsu is one of my faves. It is crisp on the outside, and tender on the inside. It's a generous portion with plenty of Japanese curry sauce, and I love the pickled red ginger. There is a kiosk available from 9:30 to 5 pm, where you can now order and pay for their katsu items. I believe the Chicken Katsu Curry was around $17.99. You need to show the receipt when they call your name. I also picked up a couple of sandwiches. The Tuna Butter Roll hits the spot for a quick, comforting lunch. It is packed with creamy tuna, cucumber, and tomato slices--at just around $3.50, it's an incredible value. The Sandwich Box assortment (egg, ham, turkey, tuna) gives you a little bit of everything, making it perfect for a satisfying light lunch on the go. If you're looking for hearty portions at reasonable prices, Cream Pan continues to hit the mark every single time.
