This is one of those places you'd never know about if it weren't for your Yelp friends. I've had a couple of them single this cafe out for both breakfast and lunch. I decided to visit for lunch on an early weekday afternoon. It's located in a megacomplex of business buildings but it's easily spotted with their signage. They have both indoor and outdoor seating but I stayed inside on this mid-ninety-degree day. I ordered at the counter and was given a pager to let me know when it was ready to pick up. I ordered their BLT sandwich with chips. Additionally, I asked for an iced vanilla latte and a chocolate chip cookie. As it was afternoon, the pastry case was almost empty, but the cookie was exactly what I wanted to complement the sandwich. I took a seat at the counter, which gave me a great view of the TV; a World Cup game was being played. When my buzzer went off, before I could get up, my order was brought to me. The women working here were super nice! The delicious sandwich was on sourdough bread and had cheddar cheese in addition to the BLT. The bacon had a slight spiciness to it. The kettle chips were pretty good, and my cookie was fresh and soft, with the perfect amount of chocolate chips. The vanilla latte was a delightful surprise, very tasty with robust flavors of both coffee and vanilla. And it wasn't overly iced! Everything here was really good; nothing mind-blowing but all perfectly made. I might have given them four stars but since my team won the match, maximum enjoyment was reached = 5 stars.
This is a nice hidden gem for brunch! Plenty of seating, inside and outdoors. They even have a private room for large groups. Staff is friendly and they have an extensive menu with sweet and savory items. I got their denver omelette. Denver Omelette- This is a hearty dish loaded with mushrooms, ham, onions, abd bellpepper. Finished with avocado on top and served with breakfast potatoes and spring salad. The omelette is fluffy and everything in it is perfectly cooked. Potatoes are warm and flavorful. Spring salad adds a layer of freshness to the meal. Great experience overall!
A hidden gem of a place to get some freshly made food! The cafe is in the middle of a bunch of offices so it's very unassuming, but there are plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. The food was freshly made, came with a good portion size, and great in value! I got the wagyu burger which comes with a side of waffle fries. Great flavor for both the burger and fries! I also got the Fried chicken sandwich that other reviews mentioned, and wow, you get a very decent sized chicken! I do wish there was more flavor to the chicken itself. It comes with a side of salad or chips - I got the chips which was your standard kettle chips. I also tried their matcha, and this was very standard. Honestly didn't expect too much since its a cafe type drink so it didn't compare it to any good quality matcha/coffee shops. The staff was very friendly, and food came out relatively quick. A good stop for some good food if you're around the area.
Wara Bistro is a cute little spot hidden amongst the businesses in Irvine/Tustin. I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon (wrapped in a spinach tortilla), a cup of tomato soup, avocado toast, and a matcha latte. Everything tasted fresh! Personally, I wished some of the flavors were a bit bolder, but my husband thought flavors were on point. The matcha is so good and I would definitely get this again. I love the outdoor seating which makes it a great place to catch up with a friend or get some work done. I'm glad we found this hidden gem and will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.
Wara Bistro is offering an incredible brunch menu on the weekends. The strawberry pancakes are to die for my favorite was the Chilaquiles's and of course, the eggs Benedict was my husband's favorite. They also offer mimosas by the glass or bottomless if you want to really take on the whole brunch experience. I enjoyed a delicious latte as well which I would recommend. While this place is located in office buildings, it is the perfect setting to either dine outdoors indoors. They even have a special conference area that you could probably reserve with the TV and or grab and go. There's plenty of parking and other options to fit your needs for breakfast lunch or dinner during work hours or just on the weekend relaxing away from the hustle and the bustle!
You just need . Today I discovered I loved the strawberry pancakes at Wara Bistro Irvine, CA! It's the most perfect pancakes and it's ONLY SERVED on Saturdays & Sundays. It's the perfect stack! Fresh sliced strawberries along with a strawberry purée syrup. It's a must try! Seriously!
Simple cafe. Not an "Instagram" type of environment but more cafeteria style seating. Got the brioche breakfast sandwich...it was average, can't really taste the sausage patty flavor much. London Fog was okay. Staff is friendly. May try the lunch menu next time like the Wagyu burger.
Wara Bistro is really close to my workplace in Tustin, and is the perfect spot to have time to drive here, sit down, and actually eat my lunch and have some time left over to relish the incredible value of the phenomenal quality of food that comes at a very reasonable and almost unbelievably affordable price point. The half sandwich & soup combo for $12 was mindblowing, given that the grilled chicken half sandwich was almost like a whole sandwich and the meat, cheese, and everything including the toasted ciabatta, was perfect! And, the half soup of tomato basil that came with the half sandwich had real chunks of tomato and basil that made everything seem so upscale, yet so affordable, for people like me that need a place with quality health-oriented foods for those workday lunch escapades. The iced matcha latte with almond milk was pretty good too, but I'm more of a food person than a drinks person, so the food was more exceptional to me. The staff are amazingly personable, caring, and hardworking, which was great to see since it kind of resonated with the great foods and price points that suggest the restaurant cares about its customers. Wara Bistro is definitely one of my weekly spots to visit for lunch during the workday!
Nice brunch at wara bistro. Went here for brunch near noon. The outdoor seating had a great atmosphere. I would say that sitting outside, the service can be a little slow. But I think outside definitely is the better experience on a nice day. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was fried really well and had a great seasoning. Salad was very fresh. However I think the waffles, potatoes, and sauce were all a bit lacking making it not the best chicken and waffles experience I've had. I looked at some of the other items my group ordered such as the sandwich and chips. The sandwich looked good but the chips were cold Vickies kettle chips and I could see how you could've disappointed with that. Overall I think it was very nice but I'd like to first try other brunch places in the area.
The Wagyu burger was definitely the best thing I had. The burger was really good and the waffle fries were amazing. The French toast was also really good, especially as a sweet treat, and the breakfast burrito was flavorful and filling. All three had good portions and were very filling, so I'd say everything was worth every dollar. The service was good and the food came out quickly. Overall, I'd give the Wagyu burger a 9/10, the French toast an 8.5/10, and the breakfast burrito a 7/10.
I very recently found out about Wara and was glad I was able to visit for breakfast. It's conveniently located in an office park complex with a nice outdoor patio area that is well taken care of (lives up to the standards of the Irvine company). The inside also has quite a bit of seating and puts forth a modern vibe and was very clean. This is what I would consider a California bistro with items on their menu including avocado toast and breakfast burrito. Speaking about the menu, there is a good variety of options for breakfast/brunch/lunch as well as beverages. I was also pleasantly surprised to see an ube latte and ordered an iced soy version, as recommended by the barista. Great choice in my opinion, excellent flavor and a perfect way to start the day!

Came here on a Monday expecting brunch items I saw on their website and from social media but did not realize it was for weekend only. The food we ended up getting wasn't anything to write home about, seemed like stuff you can make at home. Not terrible though. I'm sure this is a solid quick pick for lunch breaks for the surrounding businesses.
I was skeptical coming here at first. Not in a crowded location and in the middle of an office complex. Not that many reviews but at least they were good reviews. My skepticism quickly disappeared. This place is a solid hidden gem in the hustle and bustle of Irvine. Food was great. Good amount of seating inside and outside. Good service. Plenty of parking. No wait like some of the other mainstream places but definitely can hold its own. I got the Spanish latte to start and it was a cool refreshing drink for a warm summer day. I then ordered the fried chicken croffle (croissant and waffle fusion). It was a big portion and I was not able to finish it. Came on a Sunday morning and wasn't too busy because it seems like a brunch place in the middle of business park. We brought our dog and sat outside at one of the tables. All of the outside tables had shade so it wasn't bad being outside even though it was hot. Went inside to order but then staff told us to choose a table and they will serve us. Ordered the vanilla iced latte and jasmine white peach tea. Latte was pretty good and what you expect from a latte. But the tea tasted was basically slightly flavored water. It barely any peach flavor and the tea tasted very watered down similar to a tea bag that was not steeped long enough. The chicken croffle came out first and was the best item we had. Came with a decent amount of chicken which was made from chicken thighs so it was very juicy while the outside was fried and very crispy. The batter they used had lots of spices that made it very flavorful. They also added a unique chili honey sauce for dipping. The croffle was very crispy and light, pretty sure they made a croissant and put it in a waffle maker since it tasted more like a croissant than a waffle. And it even came with salad and side of country potatoes. The wagyu burger was just alright, tasted like a typical burger. The patty seemed slightly undercooked, not a medium rare way. Like it may have been a frozen patty not fully cooked. But the fries that it came with were very good and crispy. Overall would come again for brunch vibes but seems like they are best with their coffees and foods that are fried. read more

4.5 stars I was on the prowl for a spot to get some work done that has wifi, easy parking, charging outlets, comfortable seating and that serves real food beyond the standard cafe pastry and stumbled upon Wara Bistro. Parking: Plenty and free. Wara's located in a commercial area, so it's a breeze. Food: I ordered the Denver omelette (swapped for egg whites & asked for cheese on the side, easy accommodation) and a cappuccino to start. The potatoes that came with the omelette was delicious, crispy and not greasy at all! I spent most of the day here at the coffee bar working and eventually tried their fried chicken and turkey avocado sandwich too, both decent. Seating & charging outlets: Lots of outlets, see my photos (I circled them all). There are 3 seating areas: high top tables, a semi sectioned off area with tables and plastic chairs, and a coffee bar with about eight stools (there's a charging outlet strip that runs the length of the bar, see my photo, very laptop friendly). Service: Arnold greeted me right away and was friendly and accommodating. Theres a lot of potential here. The place could use a bit more warmth and polish...decor, ambiance, lighting..just something to make it feel more inviting to also draw in the non-lunch break crowd. If you don't mind a no frills environment and want solid food, strong coffee, and fast (though unsecured) WiFi, this is a great local spot to work or grab a casual bite. read more

Came with a large party of 8, you get the private conference room if you order over $75 - a perfect quiet room for all our chatting. The service was quick, you order at the counter and it all comes out pretty quick! The food was pretty good for the price - the breakfast sandwhich had a yummy garlic sauce, the cobb salad had yummy blue cheese dressing, and the breakfast burrito was yummy with the salsa provided. They also have outdoor seating which is nice during the perfect weather! Will come again with friends to sit and relax :) read more

I discovered Wara Bistro tucked into the Market Place Center in Irvine, and I'm officially hooked. Breakfast Sandwich They tuck a perfectly scrambled egg, thick crispy and melty cheese into a soft bread and finished with an aioli. The textures and flavors sing in harmony--creamy, savory, tender, and bright all at once. Sweet Potato Fries Order these on the side and prepare to be wowed. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, with just the right touch of sea salt and herbs. They're the kind of fries where you guard the basket--they're that good. Double Matcha Latte + Shot Holy matcha! This drink is proof they're working with high-grade matcha: vibrant green, smooth, and never bitter. The extra shot of espresso adds a subtle cocoa undertone--elevating the whole drink without overpowering the delicate matcha flavor. It's a morning masterpiece. Atmosphere & Service Bright, airy, and welcoming, with space to work or savor your food with friends. A cute, casual, and solid brunch/lunch spot that's perfect for nearby office workers and brunch lovers. Plentiful parking, indoor and outdoor seating, and easy ordering up at the counter. Service was quick and partially self service for things like water, extra napkins, etc. Not much a wait, which was a plus, since some breakfast/brunch places tend to get really crowded. We tried: The French Dip (new menu item): pretty decent version of this, although we wondered why this was the only item that came out on a disposable tray rather than a plate like the others. :) Fried Chicken Croffle: croffle had nice texture and made me curious about getting the croffle with mixed berries. Fried chicken was properly done, and I liked the side of chili syrup that Wara Bistro served with this dish. Since it comes with roasted potatoes and spring mix salad, it felt pretty well-balanced. Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict: not a super memorable version of this dish, but each component was properly executed and tasted yummy. All in all, a very solid spot, decent bang for buck, and I plan on visiting again when I'm craving these types of breakfast items. read more

Wonderful little spot for brunch on the weekends. Tried their new western bacon cheeseburger and strawberry matcha - both phenomenal. Service was quick and the baristas were super friendly. Will definitely be back to try that fried chicken croffle. read more

Came on a Sunday morning at 10 am and it was dead . The service was great and the all the food was delicious. We ordered chicken and waffles, hamburger, omelette, breakfast burritos and a breakfast sandwich, all were super tasty. Great background music and coffees were also a hit . We will definitely be back. I'm assuming on weekdays it's a busy lunch spot but I loved how quiet this place was on a weekday. I wanted to sit on their patio as it was very beautiful but it rained. Guess I have to come back again. read more

This is a new brunch spot tucked away in one of the most peaceful areas in Irvine. Interesting location (it's in the middle of a bunch of office buildings), but I'm lowkey about it 'cus that means it's away from all the hubbub and chaos, and their outdoor patio is a whole vibe. Some of my faves are the Philly cheesesteak and the Ube French toast--highly highly recommend this, 10 out of 10. And you gotta try the Shrek latte which has matcha, brown sugar, and cinnamon...SO delish. Besides their regular hours from 7AM-3PM, they can also do catering and host private events in their gorgeous space. Thanks for reading! ^-^ read more
I added this place to check out because they had made some list on Yelp and I can now see why! The restaurant is located in an office park and had plenty of parking and tables when we stopped in for a brunch. I ordered their shrek latte with the chicken and waffles and boy did it hit the spot. The chicken was perfectly fried and didn't have an oily feel to it with the star being the spicy syrup. I loved how the chicken wasn't overpowered with breading and I'd have to say it was one of the better spots that I've tried chicken and waffles. If you work in the area, definitely a good lunch spot to check out to add to your lunch rotation. read more

Checked away in the business area so we might not catch it but definitely worth going! Really like to be split sandwich and soup and salad option. They also have really great breakfast options. We all got different dishes for lunch through local company. Everyone very much so enjoyed their food! Which was surprising considering how fast it came out as well! Fast, friendly service with a large open seating area. Perfect for catering to the businesses in the area. Wara is tucked away and their hours are limited so it really isn't accessible for the larger foodie base to try. The food kitchen closes an hour earlier than their open hours too so you'd have to plan ahead. The syrup for the chicken and croffle was excellent but the chicken was just a little dry. read more

Wara Bistro has a spacious outdoor and indoor dining which I love! We decided to order a bit of everything and wow I can confidently say that the visuals are 10/10. We got the eggs Benedict, creme brulee french toast, chicken croffle, and wagyu burger. My favorite had to be the creme brulee french toast and chicken croffle. The french toast wasn't overly sweet, had a nice crunch, but also custardy pillowy texture. The chicken croffle was massive! The croffle was one of the best I've had and the chicken was HUGE! We also tried some drinks and the strawberry matcha was my favorite by far, you can tell they use real strawberries because of how chunky it is.. no artificial flavor! read more

Super convenient location as I work in the offices nearby! Ordered a chicken wrap and was served shortly after finding a table. The wrap itself is simple, light ingredients but the onions were so overpowering it ruined the taste of the wrap. I love onions but I wish it was soaked in cold water Workers were friendly and helpful, restaurant vibe was nice read more
