I can't think of a coffee shop that feels more Irvine-coded. Pulling up in the private lot, I found plenty of parking behind every other white Tesla Y. In fact, it probably made finding my car it a bit easier because of it. Once entering the main shop on the right (see picture) the demographic leans more toward UCI students with laptop plugs galore, Korean mom's meeting up with pre-school children coloring in the corner, and your coaches for the local HS sports teams taking a quick break to refill their 2nd or 3rd cup of coffee. In terms of coffee, I tend to lean on the traditionalist side and like my drinks more coffee forward. This time I ordered a cortado that was just the perfect amount of espresso forward accompanied by milk that did not taste overly warmed/steamed. It may be a simple drink, but Roosevelt did it well. For those who aren't as pompous as me about my orders, I was still very impressed by the Asian and Asian-American takes on traditional drinks and pastries. Count me in as a fan. Outside the coffee, one of the tell-tale signs of a good shop is the baristas. Every time I come in I feel like the shop is run by not just some of the friendliest staff, but just the friendliest people I have encountered in the county in general. Overall, between the quality of the food, the prices, the staff, and the general warm environment it would be hard not to add Roosevelt Coffee to my coffeeshop rotation. read more

This place is so good, but wow can it be pricey! First off, love the vibe of the space - lots of seating inside with some additional tables out front, and a nice selection of board games to play with as well. Per the barista's recommendation I tried the black sesame matcha - with oat milk, this drink costs $9.75. Pretty expensive for a matcha if you ask me, but wow was it good lol. The black sesame had a delicious nutty flavor with a great sweetness level overall! Would love to come back here as a once in a while treat. read more

The selling point of this place is that ATMOSPHERE. Staff is very chill and welcoming, smiles from everyone I interacted with! Seems like a great place to pop open a laptop and get work done or have a casual meet up with coworkers. That said, we are a long way from the days of the Global Coffeehouse comfort space but that's more of an Irvine thing. The children's toys upfront and the bookshelf are a nice touch though. For $7 plus tip, the coffee is okay. There's a lot of places you can get the same thing for less but I doubt any of those places have counters as clean as this establishment. read more

Drinks aren't the cheapest but not as pricey as LA. The seasonal drinks are priced around 7 dollars. I tried the banana oat Matcha latte less sweet and really enjoyed the strong earthy taste of the Matcha. The banana flavor, though was more subtle, but I liked how it wasn't overly sweet. They do have quite a variety of pastries and even bagels with cream cheese. They had run out of the spinach, mushroom danish when I had gotten there, but I did try the garlic knot, which was five dollars and very crispy when warmed up enjoyed it with my Matcha. They have plenty of chairs and seating even a couple of tables outside I liked the availability of outlets against the wall. This is a very decent place to work or study from although I wouldn't say it's the quietest place to take a meeting if you're working from home it is even a great place to catch up with friends. read more

Great cafe in the Irvine area! It's located in a small business-center location. Super easy parking, spacious inside with plenty of outlets, and there is a good amount of seating inside (outside has only a few tables). I love the Black Sesame latte - have tried many before and the quality of the black sesame paste is the best I've had. Great quality espresso too but not the best I've had. Also tried the cinnamon morning bun pastry - was really good. They have a small but well rounded selection of both sweet and savory pastries/breads from their business partner Goodtown Doughnuts (great business move). Service is really good. They have long lines but move fast without sacrificing quality. I love how they have a clean area to put your dishes when you're done - it's clearly labeled next to the trash and recycling. Hidden back in the office buildings is a gem! Don't go by too fast, you might miss it! There is ample parking and simple signage. I love the vibe & the laid back atmosphere. The barista's are SO friendly and have great recommendations. The Geisha pour over was recommended and it did not disappoint. Perfect temperature and you can taste the time that goes into this art! The line was going out the door on a Saturday Morning, and the inside was bustling. I believe this is one of the few new roasters in the area, so the traffic was expected. This place is super cozy and nestled in an area that doesnt have another sit down coffee shop. The inside has a mix of booth seating and comfy sofas, which makes it a nice place to actually study or hangout. They also have some board games available too! There's no outdoor seating, so it's not really pet-friendly if you're hoping to bring your dog along. This time my coworker and I ventured over to Roosevelt! Irvine is a weird place with its coffee shops sometime tucked into business parks, so if you feel like your in the wrong parking lot, your probably in the right one, just gotta let the gps do its thing or maybe drive around for a minute lol. Walking in Roosevelt is pretty chill inside, plenty of tables and seating great for studying or getting light quiet work done, as it seemed that's what most people there were up to. Be careful of the back booths! You must have your full party of 2 or more in store within 10 minutes of seating... or else! (Jk to the or else ofc) The staff were friendly and the drinks came out quick so that's always a good time! This time out tried the black sesame iced latte. I love it when a latte comes out and visually peaks my interest and this one did with the streaks of sesame (it looked cooler when first served as opposed to as pictured, trust me). This is a very nice coffee shop with a friendly staff and some very good espresso drinks made with Sightglass beans. This was a pleasant surprise because Sightglass is one of my favorite roasters :) I had a nice Cortado, rich flavor with a creamy texture, and my Son had their Iced Banana Oat Latte which he said was very flavorful. Both drinks were excellent! The shop is neat and clean featuring an open design with plenty of seating and lots of windows. Its especially nice if you like natural light :) It was fairly crowded considering it was the only open business. The crowd was an equal mix of students studying and people visiting with friends. There was only one person ahead of me in line, and the barista greeted me kindly when it was my turn to order. The espresso is very smooth and paired really well with the black sesame and yuzu. Nice cafe with a lot of natural sunlight and a good amount of space to study/work. It's located in a business plaza, so it's a bit hidden and decently quiet. There is also some outdoor seating areas and plenty of parking. I ordered a cappuccino with oat milk and an almond croissant. You can order for take out or to enjoy inside the cafe. They call your name when your order is ready, which took a few minutes. The cappuccino was quality and not cheap. The croissant was good but nothing spectacular. You can also purchase coffee beans there, which is nice. My only complaint is that they charge an extra dollar for a milk substitute. The coffee is good but too expensive for me to be a regular. I would definitely like to try more drinks in the future, though. read more

It seems lots of other folks had the same idea as most other patrons were on their laptops and working away. The banquettes weren't super comfortable so I do wish they had more seating in here or maybe just some tables for the banquettes so you don't have to perch with your laptop on your lap. Not the best coffee, but a great study spot I got an iced vanilla late with a cream top, and I could tell from the color that the coffee taste wasn't going to be that strong. It wasn't overly sweet either, which I think is fine as the vanilla cream top made it a good balance. I will say, the cream top was delicious! Overall, I would give the coffee a 3/5, but I would like to come back and try a different drink. Why my review is 4 stars? I have to say this passionfruit espresso tonic was not for me though.. I did not enjoy it at all (that may just be my preference, others might enjoy it). I just came back here for the probably the third time and I feel this review is way overdue. First off they make quality Cappuccinos! Their Cappuccino with Oat milk is solid. I've always had a great experience here. Additionally they have a great ambiance. There are plenty of spots to work or to just catch up with friends. Parking is always plentiful even on weekends. I came here today and did not bring a credit card (they do not accept cash). But nonetheless they offered me my drink on the house. I had to pay them a good tip ! The space is bright and thoughtfully decorated, with a few different seating areas that fill up quickly even during off hours. On the inside, there's quite a handful of seating options ranging from high tables to low tables. They seem pretty popular as a getting work done type of coffee shop. Someone even had their whole desktop there! I got the banana latte with oat milk and it was alright. I couldn't taste the banana very much, and it tasted a bit like a regular latte to me. Orders are taken at the front, and they call your name once it's ready, which took about 5 minutes. They also have outside seating, but on a hot day, everyone was pretty much inside. Love this hidden gem! My regular is Americano with half & half. They have totally turned me on to the Sightglass brand coffee they sell - love the espresso. I feel so fortunate they are located right next to my workout studio so I can pick up a fantastic cuppa right after morning yoga - a great start to my day! They can get a little busy, but soo worth the wait. Last Fall I signed up for their coffee cupping experience - coffee tasting presented by a Sightglass pro. It was great fun and I learned so much about coffee and the different processes used by growers, broadening my coffee world for sure. read more

This is my fave coffee spot in OC! This place has the most full flavored coffees and their offerings are all so unique and delicious. I used to order their sesame latter but I heard that is discontinued due to the supplier discontinuing the flavor which is very unfortunate, but they have other great flavors to compensate for the loss! Haha I always come here to work on my laptop and find the atmosphere great for getting a coffee with a friend, reading a book, or working. They have clean tables, outlets, and great internet service.
