Hidden coffee shop in Irvine complex. Super friendly staff here. They told me that they roasts its beans in small batches. That's why it takes so long to grab a delicious cup of coffee. They also partner with Sightglass Coffee Roasters and local businesses as well. They also have a variety of different soup each day and it is quite delicious. I like their chai latte paired with their salted chocolate chip cookies. Yum! read more

Roosevelt Coffee was such a pleasant find! We tried the pineapple sparkler and the seasonal orange creamsicle matcha. The creamsicle was definitely a creative concept (you can get it as either a latte with espresso or a matcha, which I loved!)--the fruity notes were fun, though I'm still undecided if it totally worked for me flavor-wise. That said, the matcha itself wasn't drowned out, and I don't regret giving it a try. The pineapple sparkler was refreshing and bright--perfect for a warm day. And though I didn't get a photo, the ube coconut cookie was a highlight: light, crispy, and gone in seconds. The space is large, airy, and well-lit, with plenty of tables that make it a solid spot to study or hang out. Parking was super easy with a good amount right outside, which is always a plus. One of my favorite coffee shops! The baristas are so nice, and they really make an effort to remember you. The drinks are perfect because they aren't too sweet. I like that they cycle through things and like to try out new flavors by the season. But even just their classic vanilla latte or espresso and tonic water is delicious. Also love their honey jasmine matcha, and their yuzu espresso tonic. I've had a lot of yuzu tonics and this is definitely my favorite. Their croissants are 10/10. The space is large enough that you can find seating most of the time. Sometimes they play movies on the projector, and it's overall just a good vibe. read more

Just realized I have not yet reviewed this spot! Coffee is great, location has lots of parking & is situated near my kids' future school (loyalty points are about to come into play), polite staff. It's almost always full when I visit. The vibe is industrial chic. This place is tucked away in what appears to be a business center, and there are not many (if any) other retail shops here. They offer some food but have not sampled any yet. The only downside is that they do not offer online ordering. This is fine for patrons who wish to stay and chat or work, but for working parents of young kids, it makes it a tough place to visit as regularly as one would like. read more

Had a really great latte at Roosevelt Coffee the other day. I was in the neighborhood and was looking for a place to get some work done while having a good coffee. Looked it up on yelp, saw the good reviews, and went. I did not know it was in a corporate park, but it was not at all sterile on the inside. We came here after lunch on a co worker's suggestion and this place is so cute! I would've never found it on my own if it weren't for his recommendation. They have high quality coffees and free WiFi for those who want to study or work in the coffee shop. The service was very friendly by the staff, and my latte was delish. I ordered a lavender latte and it had just a hint of lavender taste, very refreshing to say the least. The foam was frothy on top, just how I like my lattes. I have been coming to this coffee shop for a few weeks now and love this place!! They offer a great selection of traditional coffee shop items with an even better menu of specialties including flavors such as rose, black sesame, pandan, and yuzu to name a few. The staff is the best - always welcoming with quick service. My go to drink is a black sesame latte with black sesame cream top and Malia makes it the best! The owner Jeffrey also owns the yoga/fitness studio next door and through his businesses has a dedication and appreciation for his community and it shows here. This place is kind of hard to find unless you work in the area. The Coffee shop is in a semi industrial area off Roosevelt Street. Inside it is very nice with a lot of places to sit and work on your computer. They offer hot and cold drinks based on the coffee they roast there. The servers are very friendly and my iced latte was not bad. I just had a hard time ordering some ground coffee to go. I like to purchase coffee that is freshly roasted and compare with other roasters in the area. So far, Kean Coffee in Tustin and Newport is the best I have found. When I inquired about Roosevelt Coffee that they sell, the young lady was very confused. I told her I wanted to choose a medium roast to take home. None of the coffee they were selling had prices, dates, or roasting levels: light, medium, or dark roast. Her answers were confusing since she didn't know the coffee herself. I picked Mexico blend, took it home, and found it was very weak. My latte was much stronger roast. Overall, it is not a bad place to go and hang out. I wish they would label their coffee better and prep their servers to know their brand. read more

What a special place! I recently came across it and have since visited quite a few times now. The first time I came here I was way too eager to have my coffee that I forgot to snap a photo but I remember this time! We ordered a classic Cappuccino ($5) and the Yuzu Basil Espresso Tonic ($6.50). Both were very well made. The cappuccino was great with the beans and the barista who made it did a good job. The Yuzu Basil Espresso Tonic was balanced and refreshing, just what I needed (it was more yuzu than basil, which I'm thankful for). I go for an espresso tonic when I need caffeine fast and the yuzu gave it a summer feel perfect for the hot weather. Previously, I've gotten the Orange Creamsicle Latte which truly tasted like an orange creamsicle so highly recommend that one as well! The cafe itself is very hidden in what seems like a corporate plaza. The nice thing is there's always available parking. The interior is also very spacious with lots of seating. Even if the seats inside fill up, there are still some places to sit outside. The vibe is light and refreshing and the staff are all very nice. The most recent time I came here, I believe I met the owner, he was super friendly and recommended us some drinks. It's always nice coming here and we've been bringing friends over to check out this place. Probably going to be a regular soon haha! read more

Ok wow, did this place exceed my expectations! Roosevelt Coffee is tucked away in an Irvine business center, so it's easy to miss unless you work around there. The ambiance is sleek and pleasant, which is probably perfect for the business workers nearby. The baristas were friendly and answered our gajillion questions with grace. Roosevelt Coffee's unique twist is their black sesame series, for which they add a black sesame syrup and powder into your coffee or matcha. On the rare occasion I do get a black sesame flavored drink, there's so much of those crushed seeds that it impacts the texture for me. But Roosevelt handled this perfectly! The Black Sesame Latte (as is, no adjustments) had the right amount of sweetness and just a dash of the seeds themselves. The sesame flavor was there but not overpowering. We also got a latte with 1 pump of their lavender syrup and a vanilla cream foam top. Also delicious. Excited to come back here and try some of their baked items. read more

Roosevelt coffee has now become my go-to for good darn coffee, and a perfect spot to co-work for a couple hours early in the AM. Their flat white is always my pick and they've done it well. I've gone to many coffee shops and still in the hunt for new ones, and so far Roosevelt coffee has tickled my heart just right to keep coming back. The service is fast that you won't be waiting for your order long to enjoy it whether for there or to-go. The ambiance of the whole place is warm and uplifting, with the organic light that comes thru to keep the place well-lit and energized in the morning along with the very niche and perfectly picked out decor to make it feel modern and clean. With that, this spot is the place I'll be doing my coffee chats with friends and businesses. P.S. I stopped by this coffee shop with some friends. It's located in a business plaza and was pretty busy. I got their black sesame latte. It was good but it would have been better if the black sesame was incorporated into the latte instead of just sprinkling on top. There was a live music which was nice. This review was long overdue! I spend a lot of time working here, and it's easily my favorite coffee spot in Irvine. Seating is plentiful, space is clean, music is good - the overall vibe makes it such a comfortable place to settle in and get work done. The coffee, hojicha, and matcha are consistently well made + never disappointing. Def try the black sesame latte or cream top! The employees + owner are incredibly friendly, helpful, and hardworking. I notice that everyone genuinely takes the time to get to know their locals/regulars, and that personal connection is what really sets this coffee shop apart from the rest. I tried the banana oat latte this morning, and it was delicious! Had a very good balance. Not too sweet, but not too strong either. Banana flavor was present, but not overpowering. I was hoping the "black sesame" would be more flavorful aside from sugar, but it seems like it's more of a straight sweetener than anything. We visited hoping the seating area would be large, but it was quite small, maybe 10 tables at best. It seems like they have more seating upstairs, and surprisingly it was closed on a busy Sunday afternoon. Admittedly, the only drink I've had here is the orange creamsicle latte-- it's so good, I can't bring myself to order a different drink. I mean, it is SO GOOD. Sweet but not too sweet, rich, and creamy. Someday I will try one of their other drinks and I'm sure I'll love those offerings too. Roosevelt has an inventive menu of classic espresso and matcha drinks that change with the seasons. Service is always friendly and the contemporary decor is inviting. Good Iced Vanilla Latte Ambiance is nice. I like the Mickey decorations and it has a chill vibe. However the price is way overpriced. My favorite coffee shop has Latte's for $5.5, no up charge for oatmilk. Paying $7.50 for a good (not fantastic) latte is not ok. After all it's 90% water with some bean juice, vanilla syrup, ice (more water), and a splash of oatmilk. Then the register has an option for a tip. Even if the service is good, I'm not inclined to tip (for a 30 second interaction) for a drink that comes to $7.50 without a tip. Customer service was great. However for the drinks and food, I don't see myself coming back unless I was in a bind. I would rate this more of a 3.5 stars. I ordered a hot vanilla latte with oat milk, and felt the drink was okay. I understand coffee is subjective so for me, I don't see myself coming back because a vanilla latte really has to be special enough for me to return. The place sells a decent turkey and cheese croissant, but it won't hit the spot if you're craving a ham and cheese one. I learned that there is only turkey and the cheese croissant due the shop trying to make it inclusive for those who can't eat ham. This location is very clean and filled with good natural lighting. We were there at 8 but by the time we left around 9:30 there was barely room. I worked out of this cafe right when it opened at 8am, and almost all the booths were already taken. There's only a couple outlets available near the counter seating and large taller table. However, there is a good amount of space to just chill and hang with friends. The sesame latte was very delicious, and it paired well with my ham and cheese croissant which was so flaky and rich. Stopped by again today on my lunch break from work (my 3rd time since they opened). Pros: - The place was packed on a work weekday. - It's still convenient right off the 5. - The Interior finally has some more furniture which makes the space feel more comfortable. - Customer service was friendly. Cons: - The bacon and tomato croissant I purchased has raw bacon in it. - I didn't ask them to heat it but I assumed the bacon inside was cooked prior, that didn't seem like the case, they should tell people they have to be heated on the bacon is raw. - The peppermint mocha drink I had was 80% foam and 20% coffee. Literally two sips and the drink was done for nearly $8 the value wasn't there. - The barista seemed to have forgotten my name and almost gave my drink to a lady waiting who ordered after me. They apologized for the wait (was about 10 minutes) but given the cons I think they can do better. Not sure I'd stop by again at this point. I wish them the best of luck and continued success however maybe it's just not the coffee shop for me, which is fine as coffee is person-specific. read more

I came here to study with me and my partner, and we were pleasantly surprised. There were plenty of tables and it was very clean and open with good lighting. There were outlets laid around the room and boots and tables and chairs and even benches to sit on. I ordered a banana Matcha And was super surprised. I asked for a recommendation from the cashier and she was so nice and recommended the drink. I was very satisfied. My go-to would have to be the almond croissant. In terms of drinks, I've had the iced mocha latte, iced vanilla latte and the black sesame latte. The drinks are on the pricier side. As someone who really enjoys strong coffee, I feel like their lattes don't have a very strong coffee taste and is more on the sweeter side. Overall, love the ambience and service.
