This was a very very cute place. I would want to come back and give it another try for tea time. Although the service was okay, I'm really docking points for the drinks. I got the lavender matcha and it just did not hit the spot. The lavender was way too faint and the matcha was not matcha-ing..... it was grass milk with a slight slight slight hint of lavender. I had to ask for a whole extra cup of lavender syrup on the side to adjust the sweetness. Plus my friend and I ordered the same thing but our drinks were two complete different colors... (yes, before I added my additional syrup)
If you enjoy the fresh floral aroma then a Flight of Lavender drinks will enriched your day. Pastry was okay. Service was easy. Cute boutique in downtown Tustin. Street parking only. Inside seatings are reserved for high tea while outside settings are for cafe orders.
Afternoon Tea is outdoors only, but should offer indoors to accommodate hot weather. The patio should have fans too. PARKING IS LIMITED!! Arrive early to find street parking! Food was just ok. Best sandwich was the tuna and the cream cheese & dill sandwich had no flavor to it. The scones were really good but they need to give more clotted cream. For the afternoon tea dessert, the macaron wasn't great, but vegan donut was good. Tea came out lukewarm, until hot water refills came out. Did not refill waters as often. $44 per person plus added 18% gratuity for groups under 7, is bit expensive for what you get.

I could hold off no longer and had to visit this charming boutique with cascading blush and ivory. A breathtaking floral wall welcomes you inside and invites you to take a seat. As you enter, greetings from staff echo from the counter. Do you check out the shop or grab a drink and browse? Whatever you do, do not skip the banana cold foam on your drink if you love banana! The hospitality here is evident the moment you walk in. Staff were ready to take our order, answer questions and even checked to see if our drinks were to our liking. Think fashionable design meets European charm for the interior atmosphere, right down to the plates. Morning Lavender offers table seating as well as booths and can accommodate large parties for events. Now for the good stuff- let's talk an Iced Mocha with extra chocolate and an Iced Chai Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The Mocha with extra chocolate was indulgent and velvety with the espresso seamlessly intertwined. A decadent treat to enjoy as the morning started to warm up into the afternoon. Just a suggestion for those who enjoy the richer side of coffee and espresso. A dash of a bit more cream would've added that refined richness. The star of the morning was definitely the Iced Chia Tea Latte with Banana Cream Foam. The description of cold cream hardly captures and embodies what this Banana Cold Foam really is. Think lusciously thick banana smoothie topping off your drink. Impossibly creamy and bursting with ripe banana. Crowning the drink sat a slice of banana bathed on one side in a caramelized sauce similar to crème brûlée. Crunchy peanuts generously scattered on top, making an irresistible contrast in texture. This drink was truly an exceptional culinary experience. I will be back again and again for the Banana Cold Foam.
Incredible! The moment I stepped into this place, my breath was taken away. I don't think I've ever come across a cafe that seamlessly integrates wonderful drinks and apparel in a manner that fills me with great joy. The service is kind and speedy. The drinks are Marvelous! The staff are on top of keeping things stocked and cleaned - that makes a huge difference and contributes significantly to the crisp, lovely aesthetic of it all. I initially came here to study and I found the boutique to be such a good de-stressor. God bless you all! If you love flowers, bows and lavender then this is the place. Not only can you get coffee, pastries and cocktails but you can also buy an outfit while you're at it inside the boutique. They have some outdoor seating and a patio you can rent for a party and they host special events there too. Bathrooms smelled like lavender and were very well maintained. Staff was very busy in the coffee shop but the girl in the clothing store was super friendly and nice which was appreciated. A very girlie girl cafe vibe which we sometimes need, a place to feel like you're in a story book.

It doesn't look like a lot of food but you still get full. It was fun to shop the store connected to it and ended up buying some cute clothes too! Very cutesy girly spot to try!
Love this place! Super cute and the Lavender Matcha and Watermelon cooler drinks I got during K-Beauty week was super delicious! They have a photo booth (there's a fee) and a cute retail store where they sell clothing and other items in the left side of the cafe. Theme is pastel colors with lavender and flowers. Perfect vibe for tea, food or high tea. They have a patio area too, perfect for when the weather is nice. Wish they had one closer to me, Tustin is a bit of a drive, but if you're in the area, definitely worth checking out. Parking looks limited though.
been wanting to visit the tustin location bc of their cafe. i typically shop at their Hb store. pretty spacious store/cafe, they have an outdoor patio for their afternoon tea (by reservation) i ordered the banana cream top - espresso it was okay, couldnt really taste the espresso. service was okay. lots of staff but not really busy. lots of seating. lots of photo ops. they even have a photo booth. def will be back for afternoon tea! wearing ML floral dress ofc! parking: they have a few spaces in the back. i parked on the street. they are doing street construction on el camino real, so its a bit tore up.
Morning Lavender is such a cute little gem right in the heart of Old Town Tustin. It's attached to a boutique, which makes it fun to browse while sipping your coffee, and the whole place has a super charming vibe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating plus a few photo-worthy spots. The menu is pretty limited food-wise with light bites, pastries, and croissants, but the drinks delivered. We tried the pandan viet coco and the blueberry hojicha, and both were delicious in totally different ways. Friendly counter service too, which always helps. Only real downside is parking can be a little annoying, but once you're there, it's a great spot to hang out and enjoy a coffee.
Súper cute little cafe inside a boutique which I could appreciate. I ordered the strawberry matcha with a side of a cinnamon roll pastry. Baristas were very nice and helped me decided on a drink. I love how the cafe offers a tea party on the weekends so I'm hoping to get my girlfriends to try it out with me.
I recently visited Morning Lavender for high tea with a party of six to celebrate my grandmas birthday. Overall, we had an enjoyable afternoon, as the overall aesthetic is delightful and having the boutique connected adds such a fun element to the visit. We really enjoyed browsing the selection of clothes, candles, jewelry, and painting books. As for the tea and food, the warm scones and tea were lovely highlights, the smoked salmon sandwich was exceptionally yummy, and the rose macaron stood out with its fragrant flavor. However, there were a few areas where the experience fell short of expectations. While the smoked salmon was great, the chicken sandwich was difficult to chew due to too many nerves and the mini donuts felt a bit stale. We also noticed a few maintenance issues, including a visibly dirty/stained booth seat and a teacup given to one of our guests that was broken on the bottom. Service was another area that could use some improvement. For a party of six, the staff felt somewhat inattentive, leaving several people at our table waiting for long periods to get hot water refills. This unfortunately hindered the amount of tea we were able to enjoy during our visit. Morning Lavender has wonderful potential with its beautiful environment and delicious flavors, but with a bit more proactive service and attention to detail, the experience could be truly exceptional.

Updating my review after returning today for the first time in years. We brought our two kids in for the Tea for Tots event with Rumi. The event itself was great. Rumi was wonderful with the kids, the snacks were cute (albeit pretty limited for the price--a small tea sandwich, a small cupcake, some cinnamon goldfish), they had a little dance session, and then did photos. Overall a cute experience for the kids. That said, I got a lavender latte and it was difficult to finish. The foam was like a salted caramel, which clashed with the lavender's liquid portion of the drink. There were a lot of lavender petals on top, which looked nice, but were bitter to taste. The latte portion actually tasted ok after I grabbed a straw so that I could drink it without the foam, but the foam and toppings just really threw the drink off. For $7, I expect harmonious flavors as well as an aesthetic look. I'd definitely bring my kid back for another Tots event, but I'd not get the lavender latte again. read more

This is the cutest place ever! Great service. They have amazing Matcha lattes that are excellent quality and very flavorful not overly sweetened. My daughter and I went and each got a Matcha flight that contained one regular Matcha one lavender Matcha one rose Matcha and one strawberry Matcha. Each little glass was about 4 ounces. Cute presentation was $20. Other people were ordering food and it looked amazing! They also have a little clothing boutique. read more
this is a really cute afternoon tea spot that has been around forever. i was in the area and wanted to try out the coffee/milk tea flight, which had 4 small cups of different flavors: lavender latte, rose latte, rose black milk tea, and lavender black milk tea. honestly, they were all pretty sweet and had similar profiles despite being different flower flavors. the coffee was good and strong and balanced the sweetness well. nothing special that i would get again, but definitely a fun way to sample different flavors in one try! the cafe itself is really cute and decorated with a coquette vibe. there is a connecting clothing store under the same brand, and i would have definitely looked through them if i had more time because all of the clothes looked really cute. read more

I've had Morning Lavender's Afternoon Tea Service a few years ago and it was a great experience. When I found out about their Bridgerton Afternoon Tea event, I knew I had to go. I went with my friend who also loved Bridgerton as much as I do. It was a lovely afternoon. The ambiance was spectacular. There was even a violinist. I felt like I was transformed into the 1800s Regency London, Bridgerton-style. Their sandwiches and desserts were okay, but nothing tops their scone. I wish we had the option to get a plateful. Unfortunately, their Diamond of the Season looked better than it tasted. Presentation was on point, but the taste fell flat. read more
This place has been on my list for a long time but they open a little later in the day so I'm not able to hit it up before work. Well today is my day off and I visited. The seasonal apple pie matcha is DELICIOUS! I'm hard to please with flavored drinks but this one is amazing. Not overly sweet as I only had one pump of their homemade syrup and the added graham crackers and cinnamon apple just brought the right notes. I drank it very fast and am excited to try other things on their menu. There is also a boutique attached. Pastries from the case are from Crema. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Great service. Casual. Street parking Please come and create your own adventure. read more

Cute little tea shop/clothing store. We browsed and had some tea. The Earl Grey tea was nice and hot. I had a Vegan sprinkle donut- it wasn't that good. Dry and not much flavor. They had booths and tables. An outdoor sitting area also where you can have small events. Parking is on the street and in the lot next door. read more

Lot of pink, cabbage roses, mimosas, etc. Liked the large quiet patio that is well hidden from the construction noise on the street! Morning lavender is one of my favorite girly cafes! I'd come here all the time before work, during my work lunch with coworkers, and weekend times with my yorkie on the outdoor patio before I moved away so I had to make a stop on my way to Newport Beach! I don't know what it is but they make the best lavender lattes it just hits differently in the very best way! Morning lavender also hosts a ton of cute events. Just follow their instagram page or subscribe to their email list. They have a weekend afternoon tea service which is reserved through Yelp. This would be an amazing place to host a baby/bridal showers or birthdays. I saw that they do princess tea parties which is super cute and at a decent price. Past events I've done was pumpkin succulent craft with friends and cailaquinn IG blogger meetup. The front connected shop also sells soft feminine outfits that are perfect for brunch outings and photo shoots. I usually order through their online shop. They sell labubu accessories and outfits too! I picked up a mini LV Alma purse that was too cute to pass up since I have the regular purse to match. This is a cute cozy cafe! Their shop in the front had such cute items to choose from. All of the staff here were really friendly! As for the drinks, our Matcha didn't taste like much. It just tasted like oat milk with no matcha. read more
Service has gone significantly down hill. Went to the afternoon tea (which I've done several times before), it took 45 minutes to get our order placed and to get our food. The servers spent the majority of time inside the kitchen celebrating another employees birthday. When ordering a drink at the register, the barista rudely questioned our decision to purchase a drink because apparently we "had enough food and tea" with the paid service. When check arrived, I was greatly disappointed that they added a 18% gratuity and then still asked for more. Service like this should not have added gratuity. This used to be one of my favorite places, now I will not come back and I will no longer be recommending it. read more

Beautiful décor and definitely Instagram-worthy, but the experience was disappointing. Afternoon tea is served outside on the patio even in August on one of the hottest days of the week. We asked to sit inside in the air conditioning and were told only 2-seater tables were available. We said that was fine, and they squeezed our party of 3 onto a tiny table... yet there were unused 4-seater tables inside. Food was fine but very limited. Only one of each item per person, so it felt rationed. The 18% gratuity is automatically added to the bill. Overall, it's a cute spot for photos or maybe a special occasion, but for the price and the comfort level, I wouldn't come back. No parking available. Difficult to find street parking. read more

This was such a nice experience! I had known about Morning Lavender for years, but I mistakenly believed that it was reservation-only. This morning, I wandered in and was delighted that their cafe was operating. I ordered an iced rose pistachio latte with less sweetener, and it was perfect. It's hard to make a drink with three competing flavors and *less* syrup, but the barista struck the perfect balance between flavor and mellow sweetness. The espresso wasn't lost under the flavors, and was noticeably fresh. I also got a gluten free banana bread slice, which was yummy as well :) The cafe is clean, pretty, and not super crowded around 9 AM on a Tuesday. There's plenty of seating, a nice restroom, and--- a miracle--- outlets!!! While it is a little pricy (it was $10 total), the pricing is consistent with other cafes in the downtown Tustin area (and SoCal, for that matter). read more
This is the most cuuutest coffee shop I've ever been to. I looove anything lavender!! It's known for its relaxing scent/flavor and have numerous uses. I was instantly drawn to ML's charm. This beautifully decorated café is always clean and bright. With a welcoming atmosphere, it's a lovely place to catch up with a friend or enjoy some "me" time. You can even check out the boutique which is connected on your way out or in whichever tickles your fancy :-) read more

It's been a couple of years since I've been back here and it felt both familiar and a little refreshed at the same time. The space looks mostly the same, but I did notice a few changes. There was a cute photo booth, some new drinks on the menu, and more signage for upcoming events like Mother's Day and Tea for Tots. While looking over the menu, banana cream top caught my attention. I'm a huge banana person, so there was no hesitation there. I ordered the matcha banana cream top and swapped the milk for coconut milk. When my drink came out, I had to try it right away before mixing it because of the cream on top. The house made cream top was so good. You can actually taste real banana, which made it fresh and not artificial. After giving it a stir, it somehow got even better. Every sip had a little bit of everything. The earthy matcha, pieces of the banana, that smooth cream foam, and this crunch that I couldn't quite identify but all of it was delicious! The ambiance is still one of my favorite parts about this place. It has that clean, chic, and aesthetic vibe. Great place to have showers, meet ups, and special occasions. The staff was also friendly and gave some pointers on taking a sip first before mixing. Overall, it was one of those drinks that keeps you sipping and enjoying all the layers of the drink. read more

I absolutely love the Morning Lavender Cafe! I've enjoyed all of their locations, but the OG is the best! Throughout the years, I've come here for matcha lattes, regular lattes, baked goods, and shopping in the boutique. All of which have always been phenomenal. They have some of the best designs/styles for clothing, so make sure to stop by the boutique! Recently, I finally had the chance to have afternoon tea service in their courtyard. You do have to make reservations ahead, which is why it took me so long to finally be able to go, as they book quickly and quite ahead of time too. So I would suggest to book a few weeks in advance! I enjoy going to different tea services regularly and I felt their tea service itself was quite up to par with others. They had beautiful place settings, good service, delicious tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts. The sandwiches were all fantastic, the scone was perfect (especially with clotted cream!), and the desserts were just delectable. We even ordered a flight of mimosas which were all quite yummy. My personal favorite was the lavender mimosa. The only part that I found lacking in this experience was the tea itself. I tried the pot of earl grey lavender, honey lavender black tea, and the strawberry rose champagne oolong tea. I think the oolong and black teas themselves were fine, but the flavoring just wasn't right. For the earl grey lavender, the tea wasn't strong enough (most likely due to not enough tea mix in the pot as it seeped for over a hour and never got stronger). The honey lavender black tea had a bit of honey to the flavor but the brew looked like green tea and there were no lavender notes at least that we experienced in our pot. The strawberry rose champagne would taste great in the beginning but had a slight after taste of cherry cough syrup. This was my personal experience and taste, so this may not taste the same to others! I still had a lovely time at their afternoon tea and would be happy to try other tea flavors in the future. Inside the shop/boutique/to-go service, there is air conditioning. Where they do their tea service, it is outdoors & shaded.
Do the sandwiches contain egg or dairy?
On my visits they've had four or five sandwich fillings. Egg salad is obvious for eggs. Cucumber and salmon are on top of cream cheese. The chicken salad - I'm not sure, but a few in our party ordered all 4 in their personal sampler to be chicken…

I don't think they do (but I maybe wrong) ,but they do have a Banana Nut bread that is Gluten-free.
Are flight still offered?

Can I call to make a reservation? I tried using the Yelp app for an upcoming Saturday at 10am, but the Yelp app keeps saying there are no available tables for every Saturday in July and August.
