I was looking on Yelp and discovered that this place had hojicha latte! I have been into hojicha lately and was excited to try it. Hojicha latte - 10/10, personally I prefer a cream top with my hojicha (I wish it was an option here) but honestly the latte alone was SO good. The flavor was strong and it was sweetened perfectly! They also have a wide variety of pastries from Mr. Brown. I bought a matcha scone and some financiers and everything was delicious! Parking is a bit tricky, but there is a lot for visitors right in front of the business building it's in. They will validate parking for you! Will definitely be stopping by again for my hojicha fix :)
Cassel Earth serves up delicious coffee and matcha that is rivaled only by its exceptional customer service! We tried the latte, strawberry matcha and scone. Everything was TASTY. We especially appreciated that they validated our parking and there was plenty of cozy seating inside and outside to choose from. We look forward to being repeated customers!
Fantastic hidden gem! Found this place on social media and decided to give it a try during my workday. I got the agave latte and it was perfection, couldn't ask for a better latte. The cashier was very personable and kind as well. Can't forget the seating are too, which was quite aesthetically pleasing. The only drawback to this place that's keeping it from being perfect is its accessibility. I believe they only had 1 hr of validated parking. I understand that the parking policy may not be in their control but I truly believe that a longer parking validation timeframe would make this place more worthwhile.

The workspace is beautiful, but just know that there aren't many outlets. Parking also requires validation -- it's an hour per drink you get!
I finally got the chance to try this spot after seeing it all over social media. Like many up and coming coffee shops in Orange County, it's located in the large ground floor atrium of a commercial building. The atrium itself has a beautiful lobby with tons of seating, although the Wi Fi isn't great. Pro tip: if you have Cox WiFi at home, you can log into a Cox WiFi hub in the lobby. The drink selection was relatively robust, though the pastry selection is limited. That said, everything we tried was clearly well made and delicious. I had the Ethiopia pour over , which was excellent, and my friend ordered a latte that was amazing. What really sets this place apart is the service. The baristas are incredibly helpful, they bring your drinks out to you in the lobby, and during our visit they were even apologetic about the latte art and foam because of the almond milk. Honestly, the drink still looked amazing regardless. One thing to keep in mind is parking. You'll need to park in the garage, and they validate for up to an hour. If you're planning to stay longer to work or catch up with someone, that could be a downside.

I used to come here often because the coffee and customer service were both excellent. Today, I ordered a pistachio latte. He asked if I wanted it hot or iced, and I mentioned that I'd had it hot before but asked if it was good iced. He said yes. As I was telling him I wanted it half sweet, he cut me off and said, "Okay, here," as he turned the iPad around for me to pay and walked away to make my drink. It felt like the interaction was over before I even had a chance to finish ordering. I was also going to order a bag of espresso beans, but after that I was like, "Forget it." There wasn't a line whatsoever, so the interaction felt rushed. I also wasn't offered parking validation until one of the employees asked the owner if he had given it to me. Also, the coffee was okay. If you're going to try the pistachio latte, I'd recommend getting it hot instead of iced. The iced version tastes artificial for my liking, whereas the hot one has a much better pistachio flavor.
Best coffee I have had in my life. I've been to Europe, I've been to Asia, I've been to NY, LA, SF. This coffee is better than it all.
Third full review :) At this point I think I've had everything except the affogato. This is my favorite coffee shop in OC and I always find an excuse to go here. The service is incredible, the way guests and regulars are treated is amazing. The only negative is the building owners don't allow you to stay for longer than an hour. Something I don't see enough comments on, the quality of the pastries. The croissants here are incredibly high quality. Best drinks (imo) 1. Matcha Cold Brew 2. Iced flat white 3. Banana latte
I'm a coffee enthusiast and they have the best vanilla latte I've ever had ! The staff there are VERY kind. The location is a little hidden. It's really open you can read or have a bible study. Really nice. Truly a hidden gem !
Another great latte and breakfast at Cassel Earth Coffee. Love their latte - rich, smooth and great tasting. The croissants were warm, crunchy and fill you up for breakfast. I love the great service from the staff, bringing our order to our distant location within the atrium. Ambiance is super airy and opened. Will be back again soon.
All I can say is, wow! Came on a Monday morning. It was a little difficult to find as it is in an office building. You have to get a ticket for parking, BUT luckily the coffee place validates it. Ordering was simple and quick. The shop itself is small with plenty of shared lobby/office seating scattered around the building. The coffee itself was amazing. It was not sour at all, and is on par with Kona coffee. The staff were also very friendly! Then I discovered that this was voted top 100 coffee spots in the US and it all made sense! Would love to come back.

This coffee shop is located in a corporate business office area. Interior design of this place is intricate and beautiful. Lots of places to study (with tables) or catch up. However, it is paid parking with up to 2 hours for validation. The staff were so kind and friendly and helped with recommendations. Ordered the Matcha Latte hot which was absolutely delicious and cutely designed with a bear. As well as a Hojicha Latte (cold) to go - had a toasty/nutty flavor to it. Definitely would like to come back and try their other drinks.

I really enjoyed my visit to Castle Ear Cafe! I tried the Spanish Latte, and the coffee was awesome. The staff were very polite, friendly, and welcoming, and the customer service was excellent. I also really loved the interior design and the overall atmosphere of the cafe. Definitely a place I'd be happy to visit again! read more

delicious drinks and pastries, and they are flexible with allowing you to bring your own cup. minus 1 star due to the parking situation/location in a corporate building, although it allows for a nice workspace. parking is validated with a purchase but is a limited time slot, for those who might want a longer work/study session. would be perfect in a walkable city but it's not quite there yet for car-centric suburbia Irvine. read more
We visited around 2:30 pm on a Tuesday and happened to arrive with no line, although a group of around 10 people showed up right after us. Parking is paid, but they provide validation for about an hour, which was helpful. We ordered the Hojicha Latte, which comes pre-sweetened and unfortunately can't be adjusted. The hojicha flavor itself was actually very strong and one of the better parts of the drink, but it was far too sweet for my preference. The sweetness overwhelmed a lot of that nice roasted tea flavor, and after one sip I knew I probably wouldn't finish it. We asked if anything could be adjusted, and the staff was very understanding. They offered to add more milk, but explained that it would also dilute the tea flavor. One of the employees later came after us and offered to replace it with a Matcha Latte, which I really appreciated. The Matcha Latte was noticeably less sweet, but unfortunately the matcha flavor was also much lighter than I prefer and mostly tasted like milk to me. I tend to like tea lattes with a strong, prominent matcha or hojicha flavor, so neither drink really worked for me. The staff handled everything very kindly and genuinely tried to accommodate us, so I have nothing negative to say about the service. I just wish the Hojicha Latte had an adjustable sweetness level and that the Matcha Latte had a stronger tea flavor. If you prefer sweeter or more milk-forward tea drinks, you may have a different experience, but personally I don't think I'd come back for the drinks. read more

I've been on the search for the richest hojicha latte since I tried the one from Matcha Cafe Maiko, so I was bummed that Cassel Earth had run out of hojicha on my first visit. The barista apologized sincerely and recommended the Korean mugwort matcha instead which I ended up loving. She and the owner were genuinely so happy to overhear me talk to my friend about my engagement and they congratulated me warmly. Their matcha latte, mushroom tart, and raspberry financier were delicious. The cafe is located in a bright, airy, spacious, simply decorated office building or coworking space. When you turn in from the street, the entrance is by the red ball sculpture, so park in the structure. I'll have to come back to try their hojicha. read more
Owned by Koreans, Koreans for the win! Two males were making the drinks. One gal was taking the orders and putting straws into the drinks. Seems as if their matcha drinks are more popular (than their espresso drinks). I ordered the matcha cold brew since it was unheard of. The gal taking the orders was kind to explain the drinks to literally every customer. She just asked if whole milk was OK with me. Therefore, I wasn't expecting the drink to be sweet at all so the sweetness caught me off guard. I was in work out clothes so slightly annoyed she immediately assumed I needed a parking validation... $1.50 for alternative milk products (oat, almond) $1.50 for 15 minute parking Located WITHIN a business center/a high rise. Love the interior modern decor. Would I come back? With the plentiful options available in the area, I'd avoid the troubles with parking and having to walk a distance plus be judged. So no. I wouldn't come back. I gave this place 4 stars because their drinks are smooth (no bitter after tastes), quick to make the drinks, and crazy wait times. read more

I wish I could give this place a 4.5 or a 5! We order 2 pastries, 1 banana latte iced and 1 pistachio oat milk latte! The banana latte was great at first sip but lost a little flavor once the milk was stirred in. The pistachio latte was heavier on the oat milk flavor than the pistachio. Service was fact, efficient and very kind and helpful! Staff did suggest to stay as the drink would taste better for here than to-go, but I couldn't stay. Pastries were tasty, especially the mini loaf. The surrounding atmosphere was also very welcoming. A great spot to study, work or enjoy a quiet conversation with a friend. Live that the validate for an hour! Definitely worth going back to try again! read more

Came back after a couple years and this place is still just as special. Q & Joy continue to bring such a warm, welcoming energy that makes you want to stay and hang out a bit longer. You can tell they genuinely care about both their craft and their community. The coffee is still consistently great--smooth, flavorful, and made with attention to detail every time. And yeah... the baked goods are still a must. Fresh, soft, and honestly just as good as I remembered (maybe even better). It's rare to find a spot that keeps its quality and vibe over time, but this place absolutely delivers. Easily one of my favorite coffee stops to come back to. read more

A close to perfection you can get at a coffee shop. This low key place in the corner of a business building atrium. The coffee and service is excellent. Atmosphere is cool with plenty spots to sit including some beautiful modern furniture like Eames chairs. As good as Blue Bottle's early days without the attitude. OKKKK THIS WAS AMAZING!! I have to give this 5 stars because everything was spectacular about this place. I ordered the strawberry matcha latte and it came out perfectly balance I wish they had sizes because it was that good! Not many matcha places around here are good, so I am glad I came across this place. It is in an office building and that was the only inconvenience. They do validate parking, but the space is so cool there that you'd want to stay there for longer than an hour. The service was great here. The barista walked us through the menu and made great recs. She also knew it was our first time, so gave us an extra validation ticket so we can explore for an extra hour without getting charged. I have been dying to come back but they are closed on the weekends, so I will need to make time to come back and try their other drinks! read more

Amazing space and amazing staff! I was so happy with my visit here, and so glad that I found a new study spot! Paid parking only and they validate 1 hour per item bought at the cafe. I ordered an iced hazelnut oat latte which was perfect! The staff were so nice and wanted me to try it once I got the drink, to make sure I liked it. Updating my review after being a loyal customer for almost 3 years!!! I am a loyal customer for the reason that they have the best coffee & customer service! Everyone who has attended me has always been so sweet and they always make sure we like our drinks! My go to coffee is always the Flat White as Q always makes it perfect! The Banana Latte is also one of my top favorites! You honestly can't go wrong here!!! I also have tried both Tonics and they are so refreshing! The orange strawberry tonic tastes like Fanta which I love! I love the new menu and the new additions added! The Matcha Cold Brew is also so good! Perfect combination! A cozy cofffe shop nestled in an abundant spacious atrium with soft jazz in the background. They have plenty of seating for anyone who wants to sit and sip their coffee. The staff is super friendly and opn to have a conversation with the their customers, it's refreshing. They are also super fast with their service especially with long lines. I ordered the Hot Vanilla Latte, which was rich, creamy, and smooth with every sip. It was very good. I will definitely be coming back for another experience. read more

The pistachio latte is refreshing, it is also called Michaels. They also have lots of pastry options. Once you get your drink, there are lots of seats available in the lobby. It is super chill here. Ok, these guys know quality coffee. Cassel Earth Coffee absolutely rocks. Let's start with the service. DK and the team (I forget the name of the other two guys) are so warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to please. It's clear that they take pride in their craft. And the result of that? Five-star drinks. Onto the coffee. We got the hojicha, matcha, and Spanish lattes, + a cup of drip. All of the drinks are balanced, smooth, satisfying, and delicious. I'm taking top-tier caffeine here. Interesting location inside a business park. But the area is modern, clean, and cozy. Great spot to kill a few hours reading or working. I can see why Cassel Earth Coffee is voted a top coffee place in the nation. These guys are very deserving of that honor! read more

Found this spot on Google! 5 stars with over 100 reviews! Had to come here. Free parking for up to an hour with purchase. Walk into the beautiful atrium with plenty of seating. It's so serene and quiet - so many options for sitting by the cafe or away for more quiet convos. We ordered a mocha to go. You can get drinks to dine in, served in pretty mugs. The drink was delicious! Shout out to the guys working there - one was at the register and another was making the drinks! The guy was very welcoming. Would come back here again! read more

Holy smoothness! I ordered three different drinks, and all were wonderful! The star of the trio was the Korean Mugwort Matcha. My son ended up stealing my drink, because it was so good! I will order again, if I have the chance. They were out of hojicha, which is what we initially went for. I wish the customer service was a bit more inviting, because I really like engagement when I visit a new establishment. Tell me about your drinks and what you are known for. This place is located inside of a multi-business building, and they have a parking garage with parking validation. They do have tables and seating areas, with a library vibe. read more
