Honestly disappointing, especially what appears to be good reviews of this place. The only positive factor I can remember is how much seating there is inside (lots of people just meeting up, working, etc). - You order on two available consoles, which you think would help with efficiency and workflow (it was pretty busy when I got there). However, it took my drink a while to come out. There was a sign above the consoles that indicate ETA of the drink. Based on the color I thought it would be a quick wait but it ended up taking 15 minutes. It seems like the coffee station, manned by one person it seems, was cranking out multiple drinks whereas the drink I got (matcha) took a long time - this is despite me being one of few matcha drinks ordered when I was waiting... - I noticed that as the barista was whisking my drink, she took the whisk out, took a look at the whisk then with her bare hands touched the tip of the whisk and reinserted it into the cup.. all without washing her hands or using gloves... I honestly wanted to say something but I was already in a rush and didn't want to make a scene at an already busy hour and the barista looked kind of frazzled already... - If you are hoping for a strong matcha, this isn't the place to go to. I got the blueberry matcha, which was a pale green in a color and it tasted like a premade mix of blueberry matcha.. although calling it matcha may be a bit generous as the drink just tasted like blueberry milk...Not sure if I'll be coming back.. not for matcha any way
The coconut matcha was so good!! I really like their matcha foam, there were sea salt flakes on it that made it very yummy. I like that they use harmless harvest coconut water so it's definitely better than other coconut matchas I've tried around OC.
My husband and I both ordered the double strawberry matcha but there's barely any strawberry. At first I thought they made a mistake, and I ordered it again, but same thing. Very disappointing.
Fast service, staff is great, loved the energy inside the cafe and ordered with a kiosk. My matcha tasted very subtle, light and fresh. Came here during my lunch break the lines can get busy, but the drinks come out quickly.

Came here to get some work done and the vibes are great on a weekly morning. Love the deco and vibes. I got a green smoothie bowl that is so yummy with high quality ingredients. Service is super fast!
The staff is always friendly and helpful when I come to Krisp. The Super Greens - Acai Bowl is one of my favorites. You can always tell that the ingredients are fresh and made as I order. I will definitely continue to come here.
Literally my favorite matcha spot. I love the ambiance, it's such a cute little cafe to catch up with friends or sit and do work! I usually switch off between the blueberry matcha and the pandan matcha!! Both are phenomenal!!
Update: I wanted to come back and update my review because the business reached out to me personally after seeing my experience. They offered me a refund and took the time to look into what happened, which I really appreciated. While I was disappointed with my visit, I'm glad they took the time to follow up and make things right. It sounds like this was likely a one-off situation and I'm sure they're still a great spot for matcha. What stood out to me most was how much they genuinely care about their customers and their experience. That kind of customer service really means a lot and I'm excited to stop by again the next time I'm in the area and give them another try!

Love this place - 2 minutes away from my work. Was craving a juice for lunch so I got the. RAW Juicery "Red Cure" which consisted of: cucumber, apple, extra ginger, lemon & cilantro. They also have other juices, but this is what I wanted. They also have coffees, teas, hot foods, etc. Service was friendly, quick and they also have kiosks which I used. Clean cafe with lots of natural light and pet friendly patio!
KRISP was highly recommended to me by a coworker - especially their matcha. The place itself is very busy and the vibe feels like it's very college student friendly. I will have to say that their menu looked so appetizing but fell short. Their KRISP burrito was basically a super hard tortilla - not crisp, HARD and stiff - with very oily contents. Obviously, a breakfast burrito is going to have oil, but it was a bit much considering it was dripping out the whole time. I couldn't finish eating it. The matcha was pretty good but I think their food was such letdown so I wouldn't make the 30-40 min commute through traffic.

KRISP is an interesting place in that it was very busy, but I didn't see a single person content with their order, and multiple people coming to the counter to address issues they had with their order (myself included). The staff are nice, but they definitely seemed overwhelmed and on their back foot trying to keep up with everyone. They use a digital kiosk for ordering which can be convenient, but is frustrating to use when you find out that the things you ordered are out of stock after you've paid and waited for the items (which happened to me). The shop itself has indoor and outdoor seating, but the layout makes the entrance get congested because you're picking up your order where people are entering which isn't ideal. On the food and beverage front, we tried a bunch of stuff: Blueberry Matcha and Strawberry Matcha: The blueberry matcha is extremely sweet (they said it's their sweetest matcha), and the strawberry matcha isn't far behind that. My biggest issue is their matches are all pre-sweetened, so you can't even adjust the sweetness because it's in their matcha already. The term "organic ceremonial grade Uji matcha" should have never been used for pre-sweetened matcha like this, because it was a disgrace to the term. KRISP Breakfast Burrito: These burritos are pre-made and delivered by a third party and then nuked in a microwave before serving. It's the same thing you'd get at most other coffee shops (ie Alfred). The red salsa it comes with is great though, but the burrito is just fine considering what it is. Almond Croissant: oh man I really wanted to like this, especially since I saw how much almond filling they used. Unfortunately the filling was completely bland, so there wasn't much almond going on with this. Ham & Cheese Croissant: This was also bland, and looked like someone had stepped on it. Just a real sad state of affairs. Berry Orchard Açaí Bowl: Probably the best thing we got, but I hate how they serve it in one of those parfait cups because all the contents keeps spilling out as you eat it. I wish it was in an actual bowl so you can eat it without losing half the toppings to the ground. Overall, I don't see a reason to come back here, and really don't think it's worth the cost given the quality of everything. As others have said, there's a lot of solid options in the area that deserve your patronage over this place.

I've only tried the strawberry matcha and the freshly brewed black tea with fruit infusion. The prices are reasonable compared to other tea shops, but personally, I found the flavors to be just average. Nothing particularly stood out to me. The ambience of the shop is nice and welcoming . Service is good, easy to communicate and making adjustments to the drinks. Nice outdoor area with shade. There is also an open cafeteria a min walk in side the food court. Parking is limited to 90min. read more

KRISP was highly recommended to me by a coworker - especially their matcha. The place itself is very busy and the vibe feels like it's very college student friendly. Krisp Fresh Living is easily one of my favorite places to grab a drink whenever i'm in Irvine. I always get the blueberry matcha ($7.50) and it never disappoints. It's usually pretty busy, but they move fast and the service is always quick and efficient. I've tried most of their signature drinks and they're always delicious! NGL - drinks are legit thus they're not getting 1 star but.... Seriously what has society come to? When your console is out of order, and you are unable to process requests through it, why are you unable to accept my order verbally you know like a conversation like humans have? I was told to go to the website instead, and place my order since the console was broken, and just locating your website and getting to menu is a challenge. How about a I'm sorry about the inconvenience and here's a free drink on us next time or a little discount for wasting eight minutes of your day today. Disappointed... Didn't order anything and left - not a flying F was given for the troubles, found a nearby competitor that I didn't know existed. New spot... read more

After looking for some options for places to study I ended up choosing this place. It was pretty crowded on a Friday afternoon but I was able to snag a seat near window. There were a good amount of plugs so that I can charge my devices. The place was cute and the music wasn't too loud. Parking can get a bit hard since there's so many stores and not much parking. I got the blueberry matcha and I would say it was not bad, although not my favorite. The matcha was on the grassy side but the notes of blueberry were definitely there. I would be down to try their other drinks next time if I ever wanted to come back and study! read more

Really enjoyed my visit to this coffee shop! Ordering was super easy thanks to the screens, which show clear pictures and descriptions of each coffee -- a nice touch, especially if you like to know exactly what you're getting. Even though it was the weekend, service was fast and efficient. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and ready to help if you had any questions. I ordered a regular iced vanilla latte with oat milk and it was so good I drank it before I even left the parking lot. My friend got the black sesame latte, and that was also delicious -- definitely worth trying. We'll for sure be back! read more
I've made it my goal to try the strawberry matcha at every new coffee spot I visit. Krisp, you nailed it. I loved the strawberry puree bottom, not too sweet and blended so well with the matcha. There's a kiosk at the front where you can order for yourself and a gal was there ready to help with any questions etc when it came to ordering. Service was quick, mind you it was still early enough that we weren't hit with so many people. There's plenty of seating, lighting is great, parking in this area can get crazy as there are many popular retails/restaurants, so I'd say come early! Looking forward to trying more of their other drinks, as they all look pretty enticing. read more
This place is honestly a 3.5!! The space is amazing for studying but my friend and I got here about 10 minutes after they opened so the parking wasn't bad and there were still a lot of available tables. They filled up pretty quick though with most tables being full around 10 AM. I got the blueberry matcha and my friend for the white macadamia oat latte. She really liked her drink and rated it highly but my blueberry matcha was a bit disappointing. There was no matcha flavor and it just tasted like a sweet blueberry milk. The drink wasn't bad. If I didn't know it was matcha, I was enjoy it as a sweet blueberry drink. I do want to come back to try their black sesame or honey cinnamon latte though! Maybe they just don't do matcha super well. read more
KRISP always comes through with the strong flavors. I got an iced white macadamia seasonal latte and even after the ice started melting you can taste the macadamia. There isn't a lot of seating but if you come around opening you'll be able to have your pick of tables + parking is easier. They have free wifi and a cozy playlist - perfect for a study sesh! read more
Do you remember those BUTTER RUM Lifesavers your Grandma used to give you? Or those BUTTER RUM stick candies at the drug store? Maybe I'm older than you but those were the best! Imagine those candies in a creamy coffee! I got an iced BUTTER RUM TOFFEE COFFEE and it was delicious. Reminded me of those candies. I can't wait to come back and have it again. Krisp has been my go to coffee spot ever since I was a UCI student and it has never failed me in all the years I've been going! Parking can get tricky because the plaza gets busy depending on time of day. The inside is modern with lots of seating indoors and outdoors. There are 2 self order kiosks. Gets pretty busy in the morning and during lunch hour as it's surrounded by businesses. I appreciate that they have a sign that indicates anticipated wait times. Staff are always super friendly. White Macadamia Oat Latte 10/10 - I love this drink. I think the flavor combo goes really well together and theirs has the perfect balance of white chocolate and macadamia nut. Other places lean more towards one of the flavors, but Krisp does it right. It's definitely on the sweeter side which is my preference so keep that in mind if you don't like your drinks as sweet. read more
I was excited to try the morning burrito but honestly I was so disappointed by it :( the burrito itself was toasted so the outside was warmed, but the inside was still so so cold. The tater tots tasted stale probably because it was premade. The green sauce that it came with was delicious I just wish the burrito was more fresh. Lots of parking Inside has lots of room to study, eat, catch up as well as the outside. I got the pandan iced matcha latte with an açaí bowl And my friend got the matcha strawberry iced ! The pandan matcha was so good!! I've never tried that before in matcha and was pleased! The matcha had a good strong earthy flavor with the pandan flavor also carrying through The açaí bowl was refreshing and perfect in flavor! My friend also enjoyed her strawberry Matcha Will definitely visit again and recommend to others ! read more

I stopped at Krisp Coffee in Irvine with a buddy last minute and this place completely caught me off guard. I was not expecting it to have one of the best strawberry matchas I have had and honestly I think it is better than some of my favorite spots like Caffe in Coffee and Daydream Coffee. The matcha was smooth and not bitter at all and the strawberry syrup was the perfect balance. Not too sweet, not overpowering, and just the right mix of creaminess, strawberry flavor, matcha, and ice. I downed the whole thing in seconds and have been raving about it ever since to my other matcha friends. Everyone who has tried it so far agrees this place makes some bomb matcha. Definitely a new go to spot for me in Irvine. Staff was super sweet as well and the place has a very modern and vibey feel to it! The inside seating is a bit limited but they have quite a few tables outside to work or study! read more

I ordered the matcha and the description said sweetness is set so I gave it a try. I also had an option for an extra scoop of matcha, which I accepted gleefully. The drink was a little too sweet for me but I just have a low tolerance. I ordered online and was given a time. Order was ready when I arrived. Parking is easy during non peak time. Casual. Indoor and outdoor seating. Please come and create your own adventure. read more
KRISP fresh living is definitely fresh living with acai bowls, coffee, and smoothies, there's a sense of clean satisfaction in the menu and service. Now that said, I had two drinks, the banana latte and the sweet corn matcha. Banana latte: I have given this place 4 stars because honestly the banana latte, specifically the espresso, was not exactly what I was expecting. It could have been the specific coffee I ordered, but it was medium good. Nothing special and didn't really get that banana flavor I was expecting. That said this place gets a 4 because they introduced me to sweet corn matcha and they do it beautifully! Sweet Corn matcha: This drink tastes like a matcha cornbread and something I would never have expected, but was amazing. I was able to see it being made and a scoop of fresh corn was added to my matcha and I was pleasantly surprised. This drink was a combo I loved and the sweet corn bits really made it. I must come back for another! All that said, I see myself coming back:) give their unique menu a try. read more

Came back & they have yet to disappoint me! I tried their blueberry matcha which had the perfect balance between the two flavors. Not sure if they use an artificial syrup for the blueberry but it tasted so yum that i would've even care. And the matcha was still strong which is exactly what i wanted, hence the extra scoop of matcha! Yummy breakfast burrito but salsa was kinda watery. Not a bother but I'll try the green sauce next time. All my cravings were satisfied so I really have no complaints. The perfect pick-me-up to a rough week :') read more

Hi Denise, we use a blend of Guatemala and Ethiopia coffee beans in our espresso drinks.
Are we able to order a latte without any espresso? (sadly I can't even have decaf :( )
Do they have decaf espresso available for the lattes?
Yes, we have both regular and decaf espresso.
Do you accept cash payments as well? I try not to rely on credit cards otherwise small spendings add up.
They refused to accept cash even though it was exact with no change needed.
