My go to spot for a refreshing and healthy Acai bowl. This is a great alternative for breakfast, especially on a warm morning. They also have delicious savory pastries like the Coxinha, or the one with added cream cheese. Both have shredded chicken inside and are like a bite-size empanada. They do also have empanadas, along with cheese bread, and banana bread. My usual order is the Tahiti Bowl, which has all the fruits you should be having every day, over a frozen Acai sorbet base, and honey drizzled on top. But the best day to go is on National Acai Bowl Day every April 6th. If you're one of the first few who make it in dancing through the front door, you get a free one! Overall I recommend this place, especially for açai bowls and since that's what they're marketing themselves as I'm sticking with 4 stars. The baked food is probably 3.5 stars. In total we got a Cali Bowl, coxinha with cream cheese, cheese bread, beef empanadas, and a slice of banana bread. Ordering is simple on two kiosk screens and the food came out fast with good customer service. The açai bowl in the regular size was shareable. Very tasty and refreshing. We went halfsies on it and then tried some of the pastries. 5/5 The beef empanadas are 4/5 good, seasoned nicely and served hot but not burn-your-mouth temperature.The dough was crispy without crumbling everywhere. Adding hot sauce makes them better. The coxinha with cream cheese was 4/5. Good portion and I liked the outer crumb texture and the creaminess inside. The dough was kinda gooey on one side though, and not in the way that made it seem on purpose. The cheese rolls were 3/5 so not our favorite, but maybe we weren't ready for the tapioca flour. They still *tasted* good, but the texture wasn't our thing. Banana bread wasn't super sweet and is served room temp. The slices are thick but I wish ours had been more moist. I like they have the mini bowl option! It's small but was still filling for a lunch! The acai itself is yummy, not as liquidy as I normally like my acai normally. I like that the mango was an option for fruits. Easy to build your own bowl with kiosk. I think the acai here is more expensive than other local acai spots. It was $16 for my mini bowl after addition of some extra toppings like goji berries, flax seeds, agave, and peanut butter. Many other acai places give unlimited toppings. My friend and I ordered online for dinner and it was ready within 15 mins. I got the São Paulo bowl. Base: Acai, Banana, Guarana and the Topping: Granola, Banana, Strawberry. I added 3 additional toppings of Almond Butter, cacao nibs, and sliced almonds. Topped with agave. (The additional toppings were free bc Toppings Tuesdays). The large bowl was huge. I probably could've done a medium but was so please by the portion size and how much fruit and toppings they give. Every bite was so delicious and refreshing. I will def come back. I'm really torn on açaí because harvesting it puts many young children to adults in danger. My friend wanted to come here tonight, so I did, after not having it for a very long time since finding out about the backstory. The ambiance is 3/5. There are tables inside and outside, but outside; your entire view is of the parking lot. (However, Cream Pan is in the same area, so that's a major plus.) The workers were nice enough, but they didn't know how to honor the 10% discount for checking in on Yelp. WTH. If you're not honoring it, please take it down on Yelp. However, the worker showed me how to access their app and order through there to get 10% off every time you order (although I won't be ordering often). The app defaults to a 10% tip as well. The taste of the açaí bowl I got, the Tahiti with added almond butter, was really good especially on a summer's night. I have a couple contradictions about this place. The customer service is INCREDIBLE!!!! Unfortunately the classic smoothie I got did NOT taste great!! Milk is used for the smoothie and little to no sweetener was used. The banana bread was okay but not the greatest. They also want us to write a review on the place before we even try the food. I've been to the Acai Republic in Newport, so I was really excited to check this one out as well because I had a great experience. The layers of paradise lets you choose an açai base (127cals) and then it has layers of passionfruit cream (220 calories) and then you can pick two toppings of fruit. There's strawberries, bananas, blueberries, pineapple, and mango (184calories.) Leslie you have the option to add honey or agave or both. The coolest part about this though is they have the same ownership as the MMA studio next-door. I noticed the Acai Republic sign and juice bar inside of the studio and I went to check it out. My wife and I came by for a snack. Their empenadas and coxinhas are pretty good. I am glad they have Guarana sodas there.

We got the medium Cali bowl ($8.95) to share and it was the perfect amount as a mid day snack. The base was a smooth sorbet like consistency which was complementary to the tree nut granola, fruit, and coconut flakes. The ingredients were fresh and the guarana blend in the base tied in the Brazilian authenticity. My only qualm was that they skimped on the granola. It definitely tasted healthy and the ginger and tumeric gave it a spicy kick. The consistency is slightly thicker like a smoothie. The kale and spinach left some smaller bits of the veggies as you drink, so keep that in mind. That said, my taste buds are quite sensitive when it comes to Açaí. The São Paulo is my go to (the city I'm from!) it's the most authentic version to the one I grew up eating.
