Another place I'm surprised doesn't have more stars. I was in Irvine, and stumbled across the Lost bean, organic coffee and tea. Being my first time in, I didn't step up to the register right away. I like to look at the menu to narrow down what I'm looking for, and think of questions I might have about the menu. The signature drinks caught my eye, the young man that helped me, answered my questions and helped me decide on the honey drizzle latte, which did not disappoint.. it was sweet, but not overwhelmingly so. The vibes were there... I enjoyed the 610s and the richer as well as the lightning fixtures, the complementary water was also super cute. Brings me back to being surprised of the low rating when I saw that it was for possible health violations, almost 3 years ago... I'm able to recognize where cleanliness is an opportunity. But as far as flavor, variety of options, quality, and customer service went I would definitely suggest to anybody in the area. The Lost bean is a great coffee spot, quick and easy to order from! Their Spiced Chai perfectly mixed with a burst of flavor between chai & espresso ( 2 shots) ! Service was quick, attentive and helpful with ordering regarding new & most ordered foods/coffee. Their breakfast burrito was on par with a good sized breakfast. The outside area around the coffee spot is great for mid-day/afternoon relaxations. Inside the bean is a great spot to sit around, do work, or just casual sittings with friends. read more

Today was my first time going to the Lost Bean at Woodbridge Hills. Coming from the street, I was initially a bit confused at where the cafe even was, as it is tucked inside the shopping center, but I was pleasantly surprised when I found it. Upon entering, I saw both outdoor and indoor seating. The benches all had plenty of outlets underneath them, while the high top and other two person tables mostly were empty. I ordered an iced matcha latte and the avocado toast, and they both came out prompty and were delicious! The matcha flavor was strong and the tomatoes on the toast were my favorite part. The music inside is a little on the louder side, but with free fast wifi, easy parking, and free outlets, this place is good to study at if you can tolerate some noise. read more

Cute shop in the middle of the outdoor mall. There is some seating inside to study or meet with friends, I would preface that with most tables are two seaters. Outside, there are other tables as well, some that fit more than 2. If you are going to study, only the inside has plugs that I have seen. There is a restroom for customers, yay. It's not a third wave coffee shop, but they do have a decent selection of drinks and snacks! read more

My wife and I had breakfast here today. We like the lost bean because of the quality of the food. They use organic ingredients which is hard to find in a lot of places. We had the avocado toast and the breakfast burrito. Both were very delicious. I also had a coffee which is organic. The young lady at the counter (Payton), was extremely helpful and nice. The atmosphere is nice but can get crowded. We were very lucky to get a table. There are several locations in Orange county. We have tried a couple and they are all good. This particular location is are favorite because you can sit outside too. If you haven't been there before give it a try. You'll be happy that you did! read more

I like this little coffee shop. It's located in the Woodbridge Village Center so it's a convenient location, with access to other amenities and the bike/walking trails. I ordered an iced unsweetened matcha latte with almond milk, and it was great! I like that their matcha powder does not contain sweetener so that you're able to adjust the sweetness level to just what you'd like. This place is great but usually very busy. Today was my lucky day, it wasn't crowded at all, and my drink was ready in under five minutes! Parking is plentiful in this plaza. Inside, you'll find booth-style seating or wooden chairs, just a heads-up that the chairs aren't the most comfortable if you plan to stay and work for a while. Definitely wheelchair and stroller friendly. The outdoor area is lovely but located right next to a children's play area. On nice mornings, you can expect lots of kids playing nearby. It's not the quietest spot, so it's perfect if you're coming to catch up with friends rather than get focused work done. Inside is spacious, and their Wi-Fi is strong. Definitely bring headphones if you're planning to work here. The drinks are excellent. I've had their hot lavender latte before and loved it, but this time I tried their iced matcha with unsweetened almond milk, and it was perfect, highly recommend it! They also offer food options if you plan to stay for a while. The staff is super friendly, and there are two clean, gender-neutral restrooms available. This place is not an obvious find off the street. It is in the plaza and there are no obvious signs from the street or around the parking lot. Just park and walk in towards the center of the plaza. I parked by grocery outlet and walked towards yogurtland and you will find it. The coffee is good. I got the mocha blended because it was such a hot day. It was good, but I'm not a fan of the coffee bean bits that was in the coffee since it was really hard and I kept worrying that my chip would chip from biting down on one of them. I think cocoa nibs would be a better choice. But the flavor of it was good and well balanced between icy and milky. There are a fair amount of seat and outlets indoors but it does get packed . even the outside patio was full when I came. Just FYI. I was still able to find a seat on a weekday late afternoon. the service was nice too. The lady taking my order was helpful with my questions and she was friendly. There is wifi but it was SOOOO slow. My hotspot was way faster. read more

It's not the best place to get a drink tbh. I've been to many different coffee shops, and I don't think I'll be coming back to this specific location for a drink. I'm sure in other places it might taste better. But I do want to try their food items since I've heard they're yummy. I just think that the service was a bit slow which I understand because of how crowded it gets. The drinks, I could've saved my money on. The red turbo juice was utterly fantastic and the overall pricing of the beverages and foods here are the best I've seen for a quality cafe that focuses on organic ingredients! The staff seem so happy to work here and it's such a delight to witness a cafe with people who really enjoy supporting the cause(s) the establishment sets out to achieve, which in this case is probably affordable and top-quality coffees, teas, juices, and cafe foods in an ambience that reflects true happiness in life. I love what this cafe stands for and while I wish there was a bigger "waiting area" to stand in after ordering, it's not too crowded so it was just part of the experience. The coffee was absolutely delicious and they had a good amount of options without being overwhelming. The menu was a little confusing, they list the options for drinks, however there is no description underneath to tell you what it is. The service was great though and they politely went through the drinks I was interested in and told me what was in them. They have both indoor and outdoor seating as well as free water. BEST PLACE FOR STUDYING. There were a good amount of seats inside & outside. There is no time limit for the WiFi (some places in Costa Mesa you have to order food every 30min to get a new WiFi code). I had never been here before. I met an old friend for coffee/tea. At the recommendation of the barista I ordered a banana chai latte. It was quite good. My friend ordered a hot tea. We sat on the small patio and caught up. The Lost Bean is nice. The barista was friendly and helpful. The ambiance is good, with a mix of students and others on laptops studying and others (like myself) meeting friends and family to chat and catch up. The Woodbridge Village plaza itself tends to be crowded on the weekends, so it was a bit nosier than I prefer, but overall a pleasant experience. Prices are about on par with other coffee places in the area. Because it was later in the day, most of their baked goods were sold out, but they had some interesting looking quiche dishes. read more

There are a ton of seating options, especially for someone like me who was looking to spend some time and found a booth with a plug (there are plugs everywhere). I normally order a rose or lavender flavored latte either hot or iced. It's very tasty and comforting. The menu is pretty huge and had something for every taste bud. The staff is friendly and kind. 5 Stars - A Hidden Gem Worth Finding! I stumbled upon this cozy little coffee shop totally by accident--I was just in the plaza to get my nails done and noticed this tucked-away spot next door. What a find! It's definitely a hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but in the best way possible: charming, welcoming, and full of good vibes. Huge shoutout to Shanda, my new favorite barista! She is just the sweetest--inside and out. I wasn't quite sure what to order, since I didn't want something too dark or too sweet, and she absolutely nailed it. I still don't know exactly what she made me, but I'm calling it The Shanda Special from now on. Ordered an ice latte with whole milk. Like the other Lost Bean locations, this one offers WiFi and ample seating (inside and outside) for those who like to study or hang out. While the staff are kind and the place offers a great study spot, the latte fell short. If you prefer a strong latte, I would see if it's possible to add another shot of espresso as mines tasted watery. read more
