Absolute Perfection After a Chaotic Day! My family and I stopped by The Stand in Irvine after an incredibly busy, exhausting day, and it was exactly what we needed to turn our evening around. We ordered the Chimichurri Steak Salad, Short Rib Grilled Cheese, and kids meals both completely hit the spot. The steak in the salad was perfectly cooked, tender, and the chimichurri dressing gave it this amazing, vibrant, fresh kick. On the flip side of the comfort-food spectrum, the Short Rib Grilled Cheese was pure heaven--rich, savory, perfectly melted, and loaded with flavor. Beyond the food, the service was fantastic. The staff was genuinely friendly, welcoming, and incredibly quick. We didn't have to wait long at all, which is a massive blessing when you're already drained from a long day. Came here for the first time with a friend to catch up. I have heard of The Stand, but never been until now. Unfortunately, it seems that the date and time I came in was bad timing. I came on a Wednesday around 6pm, and was really surprised to see how large and spacious the restaurant is. You order at the front counter, and they give you a number to bring to your table. The girl working the counter was super sweet and friendly! We got to sample a few beers, and ultimately I ended up going with the cherry limeade seltzer and it was amazing. I ordered the piri piri chicken, with half rice and half lettuce. It wasn't until after I paid, and started walking towards a table that another staff notified me that they were out of rice, and I could sub it for more greens. I was a little bummed to find out after the fact, without an option to change my order. The piri piri chicken itself was delicious, and the sauce it came was paired perfectly! I would've loved to have had it as a rice bowl, but it was probably just bad timing. read more

A fun spot for burgers with multiple locations in Irvine. We went to this one for a fundraiser and they were donating 25% of the profits to the organization. There is plenty of parking in the plaza. The indoor seating is made up of mostly large tables. You order at the counter and the food is brought out to you. The staff is very friendly and they keep the line moving quickly. It looks like after you're done dining, the staff will clean up the tables. There was a point where all the trash cans were full and a lot of the tables still had used trays and trash that had been sitting for a while. Even so, there were still plenty of clean tables that were open. My favorite item to order is actually the short rib grilled cheese. It's packed with meat and the outside of the bread has toasted cheese on it. The burgers are a decent size and they have lots of options for sides and drinks. It's a good place to go if you're looking for a classic American meal. read more

Ordered through a third party office catering app, and the food came nicely packed with the salad dressing on the side. The chicken chopped salad does not skimp on the chicken pieces, it was loaded with so much protein and veggies. I've dined in and have ordered a couple times through door dash. The Stand never has disappointed me! I love their salads, burgers and hot dogs. I ordered delivery through the Stand website which made it very easy. They use the Door Dash platform. Today we ordered a chili hot dog, and mushroom burger and an egg bacon burger. The burgers were great! We were able to order it with a medium cook which is great. I can't do well done burgers! Our burgers were delicious and well prepared. I have had the French onion soup burger and the burger with the crispy onion strings in the last and they're both excellent as well. We ordered a chili dog with banana peppers and red onions but there wasn't much chili on the hot dog so I was a little disappointed! The hot dog bun had cooked so it wasn't as good as eating it in the restaurant. I have gone into the restaurant a few times. It's always clean and the service is solid. You order and pay first at the counter and they will give you a number for your table. They bring the food to the table so I'd suggest tipping appropriately when you order and pay since they do serve you the food. One of my favorite burger places for sure! Highly recommend. read more

I ordered the ABC burger medium, one order of chili cheese fries and their shake special Mint Chocolate Crunch Shake. Both the burger and chili cheese fries were average. I had to request ketchup cups because my burger was dry due to lack of ranch. The shake was ok. I believe there was more whip cream than ice cream. I wouldn't order it again. Mom got the Stand Burger lettuce wrap, Step dad also got the Stand Burger but with bun and a vanilla shake. Sister in law got French Onion Soup Burger which I had last time it's delicious. My brother ordered a sandwich I just don't remember which one. The place was packed dinner rush I guess. The total for my meal Burger, Fries, Shake was $28.00 and it was so mid. First experience at this restaurant. We came after a morning hike and were ready to eat. It's a casual quick service restaurant where you order at the register. The staff was friendly and patient. I had the ultimate egg burger since I love fried eggs. My friend had a monthly limited time salad, but I don't remember what it was called. I believe it had braised beef in it. I enjoyed the burger and finished the entire thing without a problem. The fries on the other hand were a little soggy and lacked the crispiness I was looking for in fries. My friend enjoyed her salad, but she left a lot of the salad and other toppings behind. He was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, answered any question we had as it was our first time trying the Stand. Also want to shout out the intention that had to have gone behind designing the place. Now to the important part, the food. We tried the French onion burger, classic chili cheese fries and a Thai tea shake. I really really liked the French onion burger, satisfies two cravings in one burger. The French onion jus that comes with it is well balanced and seasoned perfectly. We asked for medium rare and medium rare is what we got which honestly doesn't happen at most burger spots. The chili cheese fries were definitely classic; With shredded cheddar, tomatoes, diced onions and perfectly tasty chili! Now I liked the Thai tea shake and I would definitely order it again by itself. It just didn't pair well with everything we got. However it was delicious. Just the right amount of that "bitter" tea flavor and creaminess you get from regular Thai tea! It came with toasted coconut and whipped cream on top, which was a perfect amount of crunchy texture. However, the food is just alright tasting. The amount of food that you get for the price is very little, especially the salmon bowl which is $18. Their unsweetened black tea tastes good.
