Everything was perfect today, Gloria is a great server, very friendly and nice, I love this place!!

My server/bartender was Sarah "Super Sarah". She was really nice and gave great food recommendations as well as local travel recommendations. The other bartender with her was also great but I did not get her name. The manager Dalton (I believe) was also personable and nice. I really enjoyed the food and my Chamango and Lychee mimosas. The restaurant was chill with a brunchy vibe. I will definitely come back and visit this amazing staff. Upon departure I did get a Mexican mocha iced coffee which was made with love and tasted delicious. Overall this place was a great experience, has a great food variety and a great staff. P.S. My daughter was craving vegan pancakes and she found this spot after searching online. It's a cool spot with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. It's light and bright with a great chicken motif. Although it was a busy Saturday, we were able to get sat in under 30 minutes. My daughter ordered the tres leches vegan pancakes, which we all loved. I ordered the traditional buttermilk pancakes and they were good, but not the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the chilaquiles and they were very good. You're really going to like this place. The line out the door might tip you off to the fact that it's a local favorite. We were given a 15 minute wait but it only took about 5. The menu is nice. It's got the breakfast classics as well as sandwiches for old Joe. I prefer a sando. The prices are on the higher side but the food is delicious. The wait staff is fun and interactive. The ambiance is playful and a little boozey. They have a pretty cool bar set up over here. Another cool thing here is the merch. I first tried Breakfast Republic years ago in SD and am so glad they since expanded to many more locations in OC and LA county. The food here is delicious and the service is impeccable; everyone is so sweet and is always checking up on you. Parking here is a little difficult as it's located right across from UCI and it's always packed when I go. I went with the rooster flight and mixed and matched both pancakes and French toast; soo delicious and a great choice if you like variety! read more

Such a great breakfast here. We got the Shrimp and Ricotta Frittata and the veggie scramble. Both were fresh and delicious, cooked to perfection. As a keto pescatarian, you can also pay a small upcharge for their seasonal sautéed vegetables as a side instead of home fries and toast. Amazing service from Kim and other wait staff! Full bar with lots of cocktail and mocktail options. Strong, fresh, hot coffee too! The branding is also wicked cute and there's motivational quotes "Easter egged" throughout the restaurant. This is my favorite place for breakfast around. The menu has lots of options that are all reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and kind. It is a first come first served place. I had the French toast with an egg that was cheaper than any other place around. They really understand and respect the college students who live on a limited budget. Always a pleasure to come here for breakfast. Very fun and casual spot and clean and inviting. Super busy on the weekends, expect a wait but it's worth it in my opinion. During the weekdays you can expect to be seated right away. Service has always been super friendly and prompt and food is 5 stars! My go-to is the traditional eggs Benedict and the eggs have always been cooked to perfection. It's the best eggs Benedict I've had so far and food is consistent. Their potatoes are delicious and they give you a generous amount each time. Their homemade ketchup is the best and you can buy a bottle to take home with you. Really fun for groups! read more

Located in the UTC complex, breakfast republic is a perfect place for students who want to do brunch without a car (aka me). I love that they have a lot of vegan and vegetarian options, which gave me plenty to choose from. I got a harvest omelette, and it comes with choice of bread, butter, jam, omelette, and LOTS of potatoes. Overall, I enjoyed the warm food and service was pretty quick (I did go on a weekday). Came in on a Tuesday to catch up with a friend and were seated right away! The place is really cute and cozy with comfortable bench seating & an outdoor patio. The food was delicious! Eggs benny with tomato & avocado + chilaquiles with avocado. Yum! Would've been 5 stars but our server wasn't the best. She took a while to get our order in & bring the coffee (I watched it sit for 10 minutes before she got around to it). Maybe they were understaffed. She rushed us out after an hour of being there, which was a pretty big bummer and took my food away before I was done with it. She asked us to leave because of people waiting but there were other open tables & no one outside. Not sure what the deal was, pretty disappointed in the service. Another excellent visit and breakfast! Great drinks, food and service! Two of ordered the Original Benedicts, eggs nice and runny, perfect and the potatoes are so good! The other one ordered the American, scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. We all ordered drinks. I had my usual Chai Tea Latte, our son had a cold Ube Latte, and my husband had a drip coffee. All were tasty and came out promptly after we ordered! Busy day but they have a great process putting you on the list and texting when the table is ready. It's simple but delicious - breakfast burrito: love it. It's not too much potato or eggs. It comes with steak unless you ask for another protein. It is served with rice and bean. We had the best breakfast at Breakfast Republic. I absolutely love that the menu has a vegan section. I had the Vegan Jammin' Bennie and it was delicious. The egg was fluffy. The jam and hollandaise gave it a nice flavor. My husband had the steak and eggs and loved it. We were able to get sat right away at the bar even though the place was busy. The service was fast. Came here on a whim. On Sunday prime brunch time approx. 10am Host said 30 min wait time, we got lucky 2 seats opened at the bar (first come first serve). Wasn't greeted, no menus, No friendly faces. Took a bit to be acknowledged. Drinks: ordered the bloody Maria. It was fine. Too thick. My date ordered the mule. He said it was sweet and artificial. Food: the cheddar Jalapeno sausage omelette with potatoes and sub pancake. Potatoes were dry. We stopped by on the weekend after an event at UCI. There was a 30-40 min wait on the weekend. The staff was friendly in taking our name down on the waitlist. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant itself is decently sized but can be kinda hectic when it's busy. Outdoor seating was not as noisy as indoor but you do have to be mindful of flies haha. Menu was pretty standard for most breakfast/brunch places. Because it was busy, it did take a while before the staff came back to take our order. I think we waited around 10mins after being seated. After ordering food it did take more than 15mins to get our drink order and shortly after did our food come out. Overall the food was ok. My friend got the crab and crawfish eggs Benedict but it didn't have a lot of crawfish on it. It seemed a little overpriced for what it was. I got a San Diego eggs Benedict which I thought was ok. Overall not a bad experience but not sure if I'll be back unless I have something to do in that area. Parking isn't too bad since it's in the university plaza. There are some parking spots marked for 30mins and 2hr, I guess be mindful of that. It wasn't hard to find a spot on the weekend. read more

I was really looking forward to trying Breakfast Republic, seeing the thousands of reviews on Yelp. I ordered the Seasonal Scramble with 3 eggs and seasonal sautéed vegetables. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes. The dish was very dry and salty, and the potatoes were stale. I had to put them in the air fryer for another three minutes and they were not much better. I also ordered the Brioche French Toast, all via Doordash. I didn't think you could go wrong with breakfast. After all, it's my favorite meal of the day. Unfortunately, this was the saddest breakfast I have had in MY LIFE. I am not one to complain or leave bad reviews, but maybe because I ordered on Doordash, the chef did not even care to put in any effort in making my meal. The Brioche French Toast was basically just 2 slices of brioche with butter slapped on it, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. There was no egg in it. To make matters worse, the side of supposed scrambled eggs was a just a solid rubbery mass with absolutely no flavor. They did not season the eggs at all. All I could taste was butter and rubber. I even tried to fix the food by putting some of it back onto a pan on the stove and in the air fryer... but it was unsalvagable. I will not be ordering from or stepping foot into Breakfast Republic again. Definitely not a place you want to go for breakfast. read more

Breakfast Republic was a bit of a disappointment for me, and I'll explain why. I usually look at three things when judging a restaurant for such Yelp review: atmosphere, service, and food. Atmosphere is the strongest part of this place. It looks great inside, with lots of fun details that show thought went into the design. From quirky salt and pepper shakers to cool artwork and even the plates, it's clear someone cared about making it visually appealing. Cozy, clean, and a place you'd want to sit in. Service was good too. The hostess gave me a little attitude when I seated myself (since no one was at the stand), but no big deal. Our waitress was excellent. She was friendly, attentive, and quick to handle extra requests. Food... this is where things fell apart. The ingredients are cheap, the cooking careless. The eggs were so tiny that a "two or three egg omelet" looked closer to one. The potatoes were the worst: deep-fried starch crumbs with nothing fresh about them, oily and tasteless. I think they deep fry potatoes instead of grilling them. Ughhh! This is the kind of food that makes you feel like you shouldn't have eaten it. I came here with my wife because of the name Breakfast Republic, expecting a solid breakfast. But with food this bad, it's just not worth coming back. Unfortunately, this was the worst restaurant we've been to in a while. I actually feel a stomachache as I'm leaving this review We only came here for breakfast because it was the only restaurant in the center. The coffee was pretty bad, like bitter and flavorless at the same time - couldn't finish the cup and didn't take a refill offer even though it's bottomless. There are a lot of alcoholic drink options which might help one be buzzed enough to overlook the quality of the food. The fresh squeezed OJ was good but it came in a cup that smelled like old dish water and fish. So gross! The breakfast burritos were really bland and actually tasted bad - tortillas stale, eggs powdery, meat bland. The salsa that comes with it is not very nice either so you can't drown the burrito in sauce to cover the taste. The chilaquiles with chicken were a nightmare. The unseasoned lumps of chicken come on the side. I'm really not exaggerating when I say it tasted like microwaved old shredded chicken that expired. Even if the chicken were fresh instead of old, there was no salt or hint or seasoning to make it appetizing. I make fresh food for my dogs that don't even taste like this. I mentioned it to the kitchen staff so they would be made aware that their chicken went bad but they didn't take it off the bill until I reminded them. The sauce that's on the chilaquiles kind of tastes like liquified Doritos but not in a good way. Rice and beans on the side were fine but nothing to write home about. Some time after the initial complaint, the server offered a different protein to replace the bad chicken but I was already starting to feel sick and just wanted to leave by that point. I wish there was some kind of redeeming quality about this restaurant I could compliment but I'm frankly stunned it's still in business. $58 for the worst breakfast I've ever had. read more

Today's wait was about 45 minutes, which is consistent with past experiences. After being seated, we waited another 15 minutes before placing our order. Although the restaurant was about 60% full, they seemed understaffed and the service was slow. I appreciate that they have vegan options on the menu and fun named dishes like "Jurassic Pork"--a thick slice of candied bacon. I've tried many of their dishes, and they've all been just okay. Today, I ordered the Protein Lover's Omelet. I'd recommend adding something healthier like peppers or spinach, otherwise--as the name suggests--it's very meat-heavy. The potatoes were a bit stale. Our server was friendly and apologetic about the slow service. She even brought a bowl of water for our dog, which was much appreciated. All in all, it was just an okay experience. Went on a Monday morning around 8AM and was FREEZING inside!!! Even the servers had their coats on- so that was definitely a little uncomfortable. Got my usual breakfast sandwich and just realized there is always a literally hole cut out which is a bit silly. Sandwich is delicious, I do wish it was bigger for the price. Service is awesome as soon we were seated after placing our menu we were asking for drinks right away that is good service--- since it was our 1st time here we explored the menu-- so while sippin on great tasting coffee we had a glipse of what they offer... Was looking for a place to get brunch with a couple friends and Google said this place was pretty good so we stopped by. We go sat immediately at a back booth. Lots of room. Friendly host. A great start to our visit! The inside is super cute. Lots of fun quotes and sayings in the restaurant, on their cups, in the bathroom etc. Our server, Sarah, was 20/10. So kind and patient as we waited for the rest of our party. She made great food recommendations and just had overall great energy. We ordered a regular coffee and a "specialty latte". I was so excited when I realized it was a combo of vanilla, chai and mocha. It was sweet, but that's how I like my coffees haha For food we got the Cluck Madame Benedict and the chicken fennel sausage omelet. By the time I asked about mine, it seemed like they forgot to make it completely. Funny enough, it showed up about 6 minutes later after I asked. After waiting that long, you'd hope the food would be worth it, but it wasn't. The avocado was rubbery, and the whole plate felt rushed and low quality.
