We got the cranberry sage mimosa and pear ginger mimosa to drink. For a starter, we got the house made biscuits. Our entrees were the pblt, crab cake benedict, and lobster roll. Cranberry Sage Mimosa- This is sweet and fruity, carried by the cranberry sage syrup. A touch of lime gives it an extra burst of citrus. Pear Ginger Mimosa- This is a sweet and spicy drink with a strong pear flavor and a little zing of ginger. Quite refreshing! House Made Biscuits- The biscuits are hot and fluffy with a nice crusty top. Served with thyme butter and sweet honey spread. PBLT- This sandwich has a pork belly base that is savory and meaty. A bit of tomato jam gives it a nice contrast and honey bacon aioli adds a little sweetness. Crab Cake Benedict- The crab cake is fresh and poached eggs add extra bulk with each bite. The hollandaise sauce ties the flavors together. Served with a side of green salad. Lobster Roll- Fresh lobster pieces tossed in a cold mayo dressing. OMG - I cannot remember going to dinner and completely loving every morsel served! We have never been there before and my wife's birthday was Saturday and we wanted to go somewhere different. Someone else said to give them 6 stars... I totally agree. The service was impecable. (I am sorry, I forgot our servers name, it started with a "K" and she could not have been any more personal and accommodating.) The ambiance was perfect. The food was amazing. We had the Parker House Rolls were sinful. Sea Bass Crudo was mouthwatering. The Mussels Rockerfeller was delicious. The Braised Short Ribs were fantastic. Came here for the second time and tried out their spring menu. We got the sea bass crudo ($20), chicken and waffles ($28), steak and eggs ($29), and the strawberry yuzu French toast ($20) . We wanted to try the lobster and shrimp roll, but they ran out. The sea bass crudo had a great flavor (citrus ponzu and chili garlic crunch), and most of the pieces were tender. My fave entree was the steak and eggs. There was a generous portion of fluffy eggs, and the steak was soft and moist when cooked medium rare. My second favorite was the seasonal French toast. I normally don't like French toast, but this texture was soft and not too soggy, and you can taste all the butter. The fresh strawberries made the French toast look so pretty. The chicken and waffles were just ok. The apricot jam was a nice seasonal touch, and the skin was pretty crispy, but the chicken itself was kind of dry and flavorless on its own. read more

Not a large variety of options on the menu so we decided to go somewhere else for dinner but their bread and drinks were very yummy! We had the house rolls which were DELICIOUS with the butter and their lavender lemon drop was the perfect blend of alcohol and sweetness. We went to celebrate a friends birthday and they gave him a card where the staff signed off on it and I thought that was really special. Service was great across the board, everyone was welcoming and attentive, and I never felt like I had to chase staff down for anything. I ordered the carne asada salad which was very tasty. The presentation was interesting as they serve the romaine whole, but the flavors were great and the steak was well made. My wife got the burger which she loved (I had a bite and was very pleased with it too). I definitely want to come back and try their other items for brunch, along with their cocktails. This review is about 2 months late but I wanted to post it anyway. We went to Solstice for brunch for my son's birthday and it was great. We ordered a variety of dishes to share and all the food was visually beautiful. Our favorites were the butternut squash hummus, the brunch burger, lobster roll and my kids really enjoyed the chicken and waffles. We ordered a few mocktails which were also delicious and inventive. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars because of the food we enjoyed and the gorgeous decor. I had to take 1 star off because there were a couple of items that I felt just missed the mark. The poached pear salad, while beautifully presented, lacked tanginess to balance the sweetness and just tasted a bit flat. I had the same opinion about the tuna tartare- I love tuna tartar but this one was just ok- nothing special or memorable about it. The presentation of that dish was also a bit blah. The restaurant itself is beautiful, bright and clean. It was a beautiful day so we didn't want to waste it and decided to eat out on the patio - after 10 minutes we wished they'd had some type of sunshade so we could really enjoy our meal with the fresh air. To start off....if you're using Google maps to get here, it will take you to the entrance of the parking garage that's only for monthly entry. You can enter, but you will need a ticket to get out - so drive around the corner and enter the parking garage that way instead. Parking is validated - so remember to bring your ticket inside. Food: -Parker House Rolls - These were good, fresh hot bread and the butter was to die for. -Salmon Crudo - This was good, the chilis from the chili oil can get stuck in your throat and be a little unpleasant, but -Pear Caprese Salad - This was really nice, not too overpowering and great flavors -Malbec Braised Short Rib - Pretty for photos because of the smoke + dome, but wasn't really impressive. It was underseasoned so not really as flavorful as I'd had hope - kind of tasteless. -Apple Butter Cake - The apples on this were way too sweet and completely overpowered the dish. The cake was fine, and the ice cream somehow helped cut the sweetness of the apples, but it was not the best dish. Overall, the food started out super strong and seemed to dull out by the end. When the check came, there was a cash price and a credit card price. A beautiful restaurant that menu changes depending on the season! I went here on my lunch break and was blown away with how simply beautiful it look and how tasty the food was! I got their watermelon margarita and it was delicious! It comes with a salty foam instead of a salt rim, and wow I love it more than I thought I would! I ordered their seasonal salmon, and wow. The attention to detail coming from that dish is amazing. You can tell they put a lot of effort and thought into it. They sauce was super neutral but it provide a very creamy texture to the meal. The salmon has a super crispy skin, but the whole thing was super moist and not dry at all. The veggies were all cubed, soft without being mushy. As I was eating, I was getting a sweet favor as well! I was super happy with this meal. I'm already planning on next lunch back! I recently dined here with my manager and team member for happy hour but then it turned into dinner and dessert! (Thank you boss!!) This place is nestled within a couple of work buildings and they will validate your parking ticket. At the evening time, it's quite beautiful setting and ambiance. Silky and smooth, and dip that with the bread has a nice balance. I do wish the grilled bread wasn't so dry. Short ribs croquettes with aji Amarillo aioli- Loved the outside crunch and then you bite into the center all soft. Good contrast. Pan seared salmon with small diced root veggies, Brussels sprouts, and cider emulsion- Yum! Salmon was well-cooked (my request), the root veggies were a nice balance crunch to the soft salmon. My favorite was the cider emulsion sauce! That tiny bit of sweet and sour sauce surprisingly goes well with the entire plate. Seared sea scallops with mushroom risotto and red wine syrup- Big four scallops (better be big for the price you're paying!) were delicious. Well sauced and soft. Grilled branzino with mole rojo and pomegranate-huge branzino but tasty. We like it with the pomegranate. That little crunch of sweetness really balances out the savory branzino. Apple butter cake-Loved that they make it fresh after you ordered! Small size which is just night for the three of us to share. Loved the crunchy outside and smooth on the inside. The apple compote with the vanilla bean is just heavily. You get the crunch, the warmth, and the cold all together. Overall a fantastic dining experience. We hope to be back to try new seasonal menus along with some of their other staples. We ordered: - Parker house rolls (5/5): Super fluffy bread that's already flavorful and mildly swee in its own. The butter elevates the flavors with a bit of fluffy creaminess and an almost peppery flavor. Honestly my favorite dish of the night! - Short rib croquettes (4.5/5): The short rib is almost like Korean galbi and is a bit sweet and super tender. The croquettes were soft yet crispy on the outside. And the mustard with chili flakes provided is a must-add giving the dish a tangy kick and a hint of spice! The galbi was a bit too sweet for my liking but overall a solid dish. - Beet salad (4/5): this dish was divisive between us. My bf loved how refreshing this was and thought the salad was well balanced with the dressing and the leaves and beets. I quickly realized I didn't love how thick the beets were cut and thought the dish didn't feel balanced especially since you couldn't eat the beets together with the salad easily. - Seafood risotto (5/5): We both shared this and found the portion size perfect for both of us. It comes with a generous portion of risotto which was perfectly cooked and creamy with a strong seafood aroma. We loved that there was blue crab shredded and mixed with the risotto to enhance the flavor. The lobster and shrimp were more prominently displayed in the risotto. The lobster was perfect and could be enjoyed as is but the shrimp was a lot saltier and needed the risotto to pair with it. The cooked tomatoes also helped a lot to cut through the rich flavors of the risotto and the seafood, which we greatly appreciated. They acted almost like palette cleansers so that we could enjoy every bite of this dish. Some other notes: parking was a bit confusing but we realized we could park within the parking structure and have the ticket validated. The Solstice lacked flavor and the dressing was too bland for me. The main entree I got was the Malbec Braised Short Ribs. Super fire! On point. Delicious, tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. The mashed potatoes and spinach went perfectly with it. The house fries with their dipping sauces was also delicious. Crispy and fresh. The wine list is average. This place is so amazing. I think i overlooked it often because it is not one of this hot, trending restaurants but it really deserves all the praise. It is located close to Jamboree/Campus and nestled in between business buildings on the ground floor. There is parking available in the business plaza lot. The restaurant itself has beautiful decor and even better food. I came here with a group of coworkers for a birthday lunch. The parker house rolls were to die for! Every single thing we tried was so delicious. We also ordered edamame hummus and tuna tartare. Everything was great! For main dish, i got skirt steak which was super good, served with great fries and a light simple salad. For dessert we tried the apple butter cake, and they also gave us some coffee mousse dish. Our server Jimmy was top notch. He was very knowledgeable about the menu. I wanted something healthy so I ordered the Greens and Grains bowl add salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked with the crispiest skin. The bowl was a good portion but I didn't care much for the creamy dressing. It lacked flavor and didn't complement the salad well. The shrimp spring rolls are more like tiny fried shrimp wontons. They were good with a splash of lime on top. The beet salad was delicious especially with the whipped goat cheese. The menu is seasonal and has pretentious takes on standard dishes and also unique plates. We are usually not impressed with such menus and only went here as part of an invited party. The food we at was good, but we prefer more traditional and down to earth menu items. The main thing was that the service was excellent. The main lady who helped our table was super friendly, professional, and attentive as you would expect a a high end restaurant. Due to the large size of our party, numerous other staff helped her service our table and they did an excellent job. We also had some of their custom cocktails. They were just ok. Overall, this type of restaurant is really just not our kind of place, but if you are into pretentious unique food and upper class atmosphere, then you will really enjoy yourself here. Highly recommend this entree option. Tomahawk was a bit disappointing, exterior of meat was underseasoned and chimichurri sauce wasnt flavorful enough to elevate the flavor profile. Mash potatoes on 4 corners of the cutting board were very well made though, creamy and not a hint of grainyness. Server was very attentive and checked back at timely intervals. Always a nice restaurant to go to whenever you have people visiting from out of town! Solstice is a charming spot that consistently puts out quality dishes based off of the season. It gives a modern twist to some classic dishes, and the presentation is solid as well. I've been here a couple of times, and it's always been a hit! Their malbec braised short rib never fails to impress, and this time around their seafood risotto was delicious as well. The kiwi sour cocktail was also tasty! Solstice is also conveniently located close to John Wayne airport, so if you have any visitors, it's easy to go to! completely exceeded my expectations. Tucked in the Irvine Business center, Solstice is here for a place to celebrate any special occasion. It's honestly a hidden gem. We came on a Saturday night expecting a long wait, yet we were immediately seated. At the table you have a choice of sparkling water or regular filtered water which they ask. The tables are lowkey small but at least one side will have a booth side. The ambiance is beautifully curated with wine bottles on the wall and modern fixtures. Definitely picturesque even if you're having some drinks at the bar. I also love the bathrooms. They're clean and cozy, giving you the upscale experience. Everything I've had on the menu is great! Only thing was the shrimp rolls had small portions, which is expected they're appetizers. Shrimp rolls - The flavor was a nice combo and I enjoyed the crisp. 9/10 for portion sizing Malbec Braised Short Rib - flavor amazing & super tender meat 10/10 Watermelon & Feta Salad - filling & refreshing 10/10 Kiwi sour - not too strong, nothing special 7/10 Espresso Martini (I forgot which one, it had an orange peel?) 10/10 Overall, I enjoyed the service. Our server Maria was very knowledgeable with the menu, things to do in the area, and such a sweet girl! She provided us a complimentary dessert in honor of my friend's birthday. She also handed her a card with every employee's signature on it. The quality of our experience matched the price for sure. We came on Saturday around 7:30PM. We didn't have to wait too long for a table and the interior had a very homey vibe. We ordered the Parker house rolls for appetizers, the Melbec braised short rib, grilled branzino, and pan seared salmon. The melbec braised short rib was so tender, the sauce was really delicious, and I absolutely loved the crunchy garnish on top which gave a great texture. I tried a bit of the pan seared salmon and loved all the components which made the dish overall balanced! We also ordered the churro doughnuts but that didn't make it to the pictures unfortunately...(it was that good). read more

Absolutely phenomenal. Solstice makes the perfect date night or tasteful celebratory dinner. The decor inside was chic and modern, and the service was great! We ordered the braised rib papardelle and seafood risotto, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The flavors were wonderful and unlike what we've had before. The seafood risotto was the fan favorite for us as the texture was perfectly soft yet with a soft crunch and the flavor was fantastic. The drinks were also great!! Recently visited to have lunch with clients. Great atmosphere that has an open concept. The staff was friendly, accommodating and professional. Most importantly the food was fresh and made with in season ingredients. Large portions and great for small or big groups. I had the steak frites which was perfectly prepared medium as I requested. My only regret is not ordering the peppercorn sauce on the side as my fries got incredibly soggy. Cute ambiance, in a nice area and downstairs of a parking garage/ office buildings. Parking is in a garage but validated by the restaurant. Had a bday dinner here and got seated outside. The service was good and the menu was straight forward. All the food came out at the same time which was nice! Ordered the braised short rib which surprisingly was pretty filling. The mashed potatoes were made well and the short rib fell apart as it should. The flavors were good and not overly salty. Never knew about this place but I would probably come back again! read more

This is the strangest place I have ever eaten. You might even say bizarre. You get the feeling that the staff is staring at you. I'm talking about you while you eat. They lack friendliness, professionalism, and social skills. And when they bring you the bill, you would think you would get at least a "thank you" but you don't nor do you get eye contact or a smile. Delicious dinner with immaculate service from Cindy. My wife, daughter, and I dined here on a Monday evening. Parking was in the structure next to the restaurant, which they validate. My favorites were the whipped ricotta appetizer and seared sea scallops. The ricotta had roasted hazelnuts, pickled red onions, citrus honey, with slices of grilled bread. The ricotta was creamy, flavorful, and complemented the citrus honey well. We were given extra bread to finish the ricotta since it was so good. The sea scallops were seared on top of lemon risotto, port wine reduction, ikura-citrus butter, and chives. The sear was perfect, which left a light crispy top to juxtapose the tender scallops. The lemon risotto was creamy, but not too heavy, with a hint of lemon. The only thing I'd improve is that Happy Hour is only at the bar area, which we didn't sit at due needing a high chair for our toddler so we had to dine in the main area. read more
