Unfortunately a disappointing experience. Food was overpriced, under seasoned, and didn't have all the ingredients listed. I ordered the Chilean sea bass. One of the ingredients listed was shishito peppers. I showed the server that there weren't shishito peppers. Without me asking, he told the kitchen to prepare a plate on the side, which was nice. However, for a $50 plate that's a big oversight. The "yuzu glaze," tastes like something from a Panda Express or an Asian fast food spot. I scraped it off since it was overly sweet. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, which was the one good thing about the dish. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops, which were under seasoned and the carrots were undercooked. We wanted to order more, but decided against it because we were disappointed by the arancini, which was also under seasoned and greasy. We live close by and really wanted to like the restaurant. The ambiance was pretty poor. The large wall screen was playing a series of "screensavers"/stock footage that was distracting. It was on repeat too, and I probably saw the dancing astronaut 3-4 times. We were celebrating a birthday and the hostess said she'd make a note when we made the reservation and they'd take care of us. Nothing happened, and that's fine but just shows that the price you're paying doesn't match the level of food or service you'd expect. For any special occasions, I'd celebrate elsewhere. read more

Stayed at the Hyatt Regency and ended up at Warehouse 72 Steakhouse every night, and honestly, I'd go back just for the mashed potatoes alone. They were the perfect balance of creamy and chunky (which is rare and somehow makes them even better). The bar staff is what really makes this place stand out. Ellie made me a "Breakfast Shot" that you have to try, and Michael made one of the best carajillos I've ever had, still haven't found one that compares. It's a cute spot for dinner, but also such an easy place to hang out if you're staying nearby. Between the food and the bartenders, it just hits every time. Definitely a go-to. read more

Came here for Happy Hour (Daily from 4pm-7pm). They offer a lot of great specials on appetizers and drinks. Everything we tried was really good. But I must say the disco fries were the best!! My wife and I went here to celebrate Valentine's Day and this place has become one of our favorite places. Our server, Tessa, was one of the best servers we've ever had! She made the night such a great overall experience and one of the most memorable dinners because of Tessa. Warehouse 72 makes me feel like an overgrown iPad kid. I would sit here for hours and eat while I stare at the pretty LED screen. I know it's kind of random but honestly the random images on the big bright screen are fun and whimsical and I love that. It was also pretty quiet in here when we came in for NYE dinner which to be honest was exactly the vibe be were going for. The best part is we learned that valet parking is free with validation from the restaurant making this an excellent date night spot to bookmark for the future. I got the holiday pre fixe with the winter salad, seared halibut, and pecan pie. The salad was good but it was advertised as a winter kale salad and there was not a kale leaf in sight. It was still tasty but I just don't like when swaps are made without communicating (you never know if someone has allergies). The seared halibut was good and my husband got the surf and turf off the regular menu and enjoyed it. Pecan pie was solid but not better than my mom's homemade. Ooh so I really had a great time! It was our belated anniversary date and overall pretty much everything went well! Parking is available for validation of 3 hrs for the self parking hotel guests, and then you can walk through the double siding doors and enter the hallway to the lobby and right to the restaurant. It wasn't too busy for a Tuesday night, we had reservations and got seated right near their large background screen, a lot fun visuals to experience and enjoy, especially the gummy bear one made me crave them. Haha. We tried their pear and blood orange mocktail, both are relatively sweet and enjoyable. Definitely lick or eat the salty chamoy on the rim of the blood orange and drink it together. We tried the following items: 1. Butter Board: 4/5, loved it, but I think it needed more of the honeycomb pieces, or a tad bit more sweetness due to the salted roll. 2. Caesar Salad: 4/5, a standard Caesar salad, but I loved the amount of dressing and freshness of the lettuce, there were these Parmesan crisps added, but I think they were not really crispy, but more on the hard side to chew on. 3. NY Steak: 5/5 overall a perfect medium rare steak, enjoyed it and saved it for home. 4. Truffle pasta with Shrimp: 5/5, I really loved their angel hair truffle pasta, very savory and creamy, but definitely a strong flavored dish that I think should be shared. Adding shrimp is a really good idea to get your protein. Last but not least, they surprised us with a cute chocolate type of cake for our anniversary, a perfect ending to our dinner, not overly sweet and it was deliciously moist. First time I came here I ordered the lamb chops and it was simply divine! Full of flavor and tender. As a new resident of Irvine, Warehouse 72 kept popping up on my feed so I gave it a try. They have a great happy hour daily from 4-7pm which is awesome. Indoor and outdoor seating and bar are also available which is nice. I actually walked here from my place so not sure what the parking validation situation is but the restaurant is inside the Hyatt Regency in Irvine and I've heard they validate. I tried the Ceviche and it was light and refreshing for a hot day. Also tried out their happy hour Sauv Blanc and Pinot Noir which was $9 each for a generous pour. No complaints here and the bartenders were all very nice too. It was nice to feel like I was on vacation without actually being that far from home. A beautiful restaurant tucked inside the Hyatt Regency. They validate your parking if you dine here so don't have to worry about paying for parking. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant. We came here for a Mother's Day brunch for 10 people and would not recommend this place to anyone. Don't be fooled by the modern designs. After ordering, it took them 45 minutes to bring out appetizers... I checked in with the server multiple times and he said the kitchen was extremely backed up but at the time we went, there were still multiple tables open. How are they backed up when it wasn't at capacity yet? The worst part was when we received the appetizers, they weren't hot! Looked like they were just sitting out. Extremely disappointing. We got a variety of appetizers (brussel sprouts, kimchi fried rice, pork belly Mac and cheese, and octopus) and every dish was underseasoned. When the main dishes came out 15 minutes after the appetizers, I was extremely disappointed with my dish. I got the truffle pasta and upon receiving it, it looked like soup... for the amount I paid for this dish, I thought it would be better than what I received. Again, it was extremely underseasoned and I didn't even finish it. I would not consider this a restaurant. This is a typical bland hotel restaurant. Seems like this place is very understaffed in the kitchen when they knew it would be busy for Mother's Day. There were other tables around us that were complaining about the service as well. I took my mother, grandmother, and aunt here and was extremely embarrassed by bringing them here. They also said there was a Mother's Day bouquet station but when we went over, there were barely any flowers to make even one bouquet. This place just doesn't look like they were prepared. Overall, the food was overpriced and underseasoned, and the service was painfully slow and the servers didn't care to even check in with us. We were very excited to try Warehouse 72, there was a lot of hype and buzz around the ambiance and experience. However, I do think it is more hype than reality. We still enjoyed our experience, the food in particular was pretty good with the truffle pasta, the fried mozzarella, and the rolls were so fluffy and delicious as well! However, the screen loses its impact fairly quickly and it's the same rotating images that all last for about 15 to 30 seconds. The service was also a little bizarre, they would randomly come mid-conversation when we didn't need anything, but when we did sometimes need something seemed impossible to waive somebody down. I think this is not a bad spot if you're staying at the hotel or in the area and really want to check it out, but I wouldn't go out of your way to come here. The drinks were pretty good, so this might not be a bad spot for just drinks late night or something like that. The lychee martini tasted like straight up syrup, not real lychee juice, way too sweet. The pineapple margarita was slightly better, but thin and watered down. Dinner was mixed. The Kampachi Crudo was spot on, fresh, bright and delicious. The jidori chicken was a little dry, not enough sauce and nothing that made me want to order it again. I'm giving this 5 stars for the Asian gentleman who was working 1/30 at 5:45pm and ONLY HIM This guy is a gym , literally No other bartender was as nice as him and sweet. LITERALLY-only person who was conversational , friendly , smiled and made me feel welcomed . Ambiance - he is the ambiance , I would have left he was not here as I would have felt not welcomed . This review is only for the happy hour food since I did not get a chance to try the actual non-happy hour menued items, but my overall take is that the happy hour food here is very mid. I got everything but the hummus. The burger was a little dry, the fries were not crispy, the shrimp taco tortillas were tough and kind of on the colder side, the arancini's were pretty good, and the charcuterie was pretty bare. Incredible food and a beautifully decorated restaurant. My boyfriend and I went here on New Year's Day to celebrate the new year together. Parking is with the parking of the hotel. We were surprised that there was not much people but this made a much more intimate experience for the two of us. The staff greeted us and we were told about the happy hour menu. The LED screen is very pretty and entertaining to watch as you wait or eat! I got the truffle angel hair pasta with chicken and it was such a delightful, warm buttery dish. I absolutely loved it and still think about the pasta to this day! My boyfriend got the jidori half chicken with their aji verde sauce and it was incredible. Came here on Father's Day so I totally get that it was a bit too busy. No fault of the waitstaff there. They were super nice! Food on the other hand could have been better. Started with a side of grilled broccolini (didn't look grilled at all and was not crispy just super oily). We also had the house-made mozzarella which had rave reviews but was absolutely tasteless, no saltiness at all. We actually returned it back to the kitchen. I couldn't waste unhealthy calories on that. I'm rather sensitive to salt (and my biggest complaint is usually finding things TOO salty) so believe me when I say it wasn't salty at all. Thankfully they took that charge off and we got the Black Truffle Arancini instead which was better but still not very salty. The sauce it came with saved it though. I would have preferred a little variety since the main I ordered was also black truffle (angel hair pasta) but those were the only two starters that were vegetarian friendly. The black truffle pasta was the highlight! Doesn't survive a reheat in the microwave (gets all oily and gross) so make sure to eat all of it or don't bother taking leftovers home. Drinks were great. I loved the Salt and Pepper (gin drink). It was super refreshing and not too sweet. Would come back for drinks but not for food. Inside is actually better than outside because the projections on the wall are quite cool. read more

This place is like way too good for hotel food. Kicked it on a Friday afternoon and my only complaint is you need more variety of non alcoholic beer than just Corona The food is really freaking good. I appreciate a Cesar salad where you can really get a taste of the anchovies and this was perfect. Biggest freaking fried mozzarella ever. Super good as well. The staff was on it. Super friendly and the service was quick. I also appreciate having different sports on the multiple TV's and the fact you can order from the pool area without coming inside is nice. This is a hidden gem in Irvine located inside of the Hyatt hotel. Despite being attached to the hotel, it's a solid spot with a great happy hour menu daily from 4pm-7pm for locals to check out! Came for happy hour last night. It's pretty inside but was pretty empty except some rowdy 20 something's. They had a DJ on the patio but it was too hot to sit out there. There was very few people out there and it didn't make sense why they wouldn't just move the DJ in. The inside had competing music with the DJ so that was pretty annoying. The hostess was nice. A female bartender was great and attentive. The rest of the staff ignored us for quite some time Until we had to flag Someone down to say we wanted to order. There's some good deals for a happy hour. The shrimp tacos were good. The hummus was bland. My friend got the Arancini balls and those were just OK. I got jalapeño margarita and that was the highlight of the night. Warehouse 72 is located on the first floor of the The Hyatt Regency in Irvine. They have validated parking at the self-parking lot nearby. We came here for their Valentine's Day pre-fixe meal and made reservations ahead of time. The kushi oyster was just a single oyster portion, and the hamachi crudo had just two pieces. The ricotta gnudi dumplings were forgettable and the ribeye was just okay. The big issue was that the food just took way too long and the portions and flavors were nowhere near close to make up for it. You know it's bad when the adjacent table that gets seated 20 minutes after you ends up two courses ahead of you. When you have to tell your guests their food is coming in 6 minutes after having already waited 30 minutes, it's just not a good look. To make up for that time they brought the desserts out when we were having our entrees which showed how messy it was. Fortunately (or unfortunately), part of me was happy about that so we could hurry and leave sooner. Even for the cocktails I could tell they were inconsistent. I ordered two old fashioneds and the two cocktails were very different in spirit-forward levels, and one of them had a maraschino cherry on top whereas the other didn't. Recently visited here a few times for business meeting and casual catch ups. First and foremost, their shrimp tacos are awesome. If you are looking for a dish to that is easy, light, and carries good flavor, Shrimp Tacos are your best friend. They even have them during happy hour which is awesome! Their Kampachi Crudo (Amberjack) is another favorite of mine. Great balanced and flavors. Pair that with a class of white wine, sublime. With every visit, the staff is attentive and intuitive with our request. Love that they are detailed with our experience. Sometimes, big groups can get a bit overbearing with request but they did well catering to us. Love the positive vibe and quality of service. Octopus is a hard protein to nail. They did it solid here when we ordered it. We were ok with the fried Truffle Arancini. We felt it didn't fit the culinary experience well. Fries actually did well with the total cohesiveness of our meal. I also recall their sandwiches tasting amazing during one visit. It was well balanced with ratios. We got the arancini and octopus as starters and there were 7 balls of small risotto with truffle flavor and octopus with potatoes. The octopus was what I would recommend. The entrees all sounded good. I got the jidori chicken which was actually generously sized however my husband's Chilean sea bass was pretty small despite the $46 price tag. The lamb chops also seemed to be a skimpy portion and the scallop risotto only comes with 3 scallops. Overall the food was decent but my husband and I were still hungry when we left. We wanted to celebrate the birthday of our wives and figured out that this spot was a must try. First things first, parking. Parking can be pretty confusing so make sure you're paying attention to the signs. When in doubt, park with the Hyatt Regency and make sure it's not the back parking structure. Now for the interior, very well put together restaurant given the size. Massive screen in the background to give a special type of ambience that wasn't extremely upscale classy but definitely a finer dining restaurant. The food was so good! We opened with the mozzarella and the charred octopus. Both delicious but the mozzarella is to die for. My main was the lamb chops. A little on the smaller side but cooked to perfection. My wife had the Chilean sea bass which was good enough to make you cryyyyyy. The brussel sprouts were flash fried and perfectly cooked. Definitely the choice to have over the brocollini. The service was great. Always had a Diet Coke on hand and enough water. Everyone was super nice.
