We came here for a local dinner date and were blown away on how good the food and service is! We tried the Ahi Tuna salad and the pasta. Both were amazing!! We sat at the bar and were greeted right away by the amazing bartender, David. He was quick to take our orders and make our drinks. We were staying in the hotel. Several of us have dietary restrictions so were excited by the menu. There was a vegan symbol, but nothing vegan, and the server was surly when asked. This restaurant is in the Irvine Sonesta hotel so parking is a bit of a challenge if you're not a guest here. However, what is amazing is the food quality which definitely is attention grabbing. I've had many breakfasts and evening dishes (salmon or salads).that were surprisingly good because usually hotel expectations are lower than average. Today I tried their Loco Moco for the first time and it compelled me to finally write a review because it was so good. The patties are thin yet flavorful - the over easy eggs prepared runny just like I ordered and the rice is soft and warm. The homemade gravy is the best part because it brings everything together. Not too thick, not too watery. This was definitely a dish that I wolfed down like there was no tomorrow. I'll be back and will be circling Loco Moco on the menu as a go-to breakfast dish. While staying int he Sonesta Irvine hotel, we had the joy of having such an amazing restaurant and bar in the building. First off, the staff is absolutely lovely! You can tell everyone there takes pride in their work, customer service is top notch and everyone is extremely accommodating to needs. Many nights have my coworkers and I enjoyed happy hour bites and a few drinks when we finished work for the day. Everything on their menu is amazing! The menu has something for everyone. All the appetizers we tried were phenomenal, and sorry for the night that a ton of people probably ordered the Mt Fuji fries at the bar. That and the Ahi Tuna stack were hands down my favorites of all the things I tried during my stay. The drinks were amazing. All well crafted, balanced and strong. nice place! it was at the bottom of a hotel, and was pretty quiet. there weren't much people so it was easy to get a table. the floor plan is super open concept, more like a lounge than a restaurant, but good vibes. the food was good and the drinks were even better. they have some seasonal drinks and food that rotates. we tried the seasonal mojito and lemon drop, they were soooo good. i always say this, but it was not too sweet :) the service was nice. there's paid parking in the front. and they gave us a cute little valentine's day dessert. ultimately a good experience. read more

Walked into the restaurant, nobody around, no sign to seat yourself, waited about 5 minutes, still no server. I sat down, waited a bit, server appeared, ordered a water and a soda, I got a phone call, server comes back to my table and rudely interrupts me, while on my call, I tell her that I'm on a call, she stomps off and then I wait 15 minutes and the server is nowhere to be found. I head to the front desk and ask her to find the server, she's finally found and she rudely takes my order and rudely walks away. I haven't gotten my food yet so I'm not sure how the food fairs but the service is a 1/10, would not recommend. 42 minutes later I still have no food. 45 minutes later I received my food. 8/10 read more

if I could give this place zero stars for the food, I would I was tricked by the recent reviews on yelp and the pictures provided by the hotel. The pictures shown, for I can't say about the other food, but specifically for the pop deli short rib we're not what was expected from the pictures once we got the food off rip the sauce was very watery. There was no color on the short rib and once you took a bite, absolutely no seasoning the meat did not taste like short rib and overall for almost $30 for pasta dish. It was rushed and honestly a rip off the food took 20 minutes, which should never take that short and and the only reason I give it one star is because the manager is nice and gave me a refund! read more

This is the restaurant in the Sonesta Hotel in Irvine and deserves to be frequented by more than hotel guests.
