Me and my lady went here for date night and what a view ! The service was top notch and super friendly! The food was very delicious and you were able to taste the qualified y of the meat right away ! Overall check them out fam !
We always wanted to visit this nice rooftop restaurant and my wife finally took her chance and booked for my birthday. What a nice surprise! Danny was our main host and he did a fantastic job in keeping us fed and hydrated. Highlights? The sweet potato fries, the sidewinder fries (awesome), the chicken taco (full of flavor) and seabass ceviche. Actually, the last one ends up on top of the list. My wife's Spectrum Sunset was fantastic as it has so much going on flavor wise. House Margaritas are OK but nothing special. Lastly, sliders were a quite pricy dish and I'd skip those as well. Views? Nice, a lot of Irvine Company around you but the mountain views are definitely pretty. Not by any means economical, this place, but trying it out, definitely worth it.

It has been 2 years since I have been to Hive & Honey (where we once were regulars) due to multiple poor experiences. I would like to thank Hive & Honey, and particularly our server Omar, who went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best we have ever had at this location. My fiancé and I had our first date at Hive & Honey, and have just gotten engaged and were celebrating 6 years since our first date. I decided it was time to give them another chance. I did let Omar know about our poor experience years ago and he promised he would make it right, and he absolutely did! He was very attentive and service I did like the improvements they have made to the food menu as well. The ceviche was so tasty, and the service was the best I have ever had at Hive & Honey. I was told they have had a management change as well, so I am very happy with the overall improvements and will happily come back again. Thank you Omar!

Great clean and beautiful rooftop bar on top of the Mariott hotel. It is valet only, but I heard there is free parking across the street. I only tried the drinks here and they were all great. Service was great and attentive, and overall I enjoyed my time and view here! Great place to chat and lounge around.

The drinks were good and vibe was chill. The view is what made me book a stay at the hotel Marriott at Irvine Spectrum. I highly recommend making it a stay cation.

Always nice views up here. Lots of seating area and you can reserve fire pits or view seats for an extra charge. Service was great tonight. Very attentive. I would have liked all the heaters on since it was pretty cold out, but they only had the fire pits on. Food choices are good for small bites. We had some fries (huge) and some hummus. Really tasty. And, the drinks were good - had a bees knees in a bear glass. This is a go-to place for nice drinks and nice views!
Had dinner and drinks here recently to catch up with a friend. It was a Saturday night so we expected it to be busy, nothing out of the ordinary. But something that was, I'm pretty sure our server was drunk. His attitude towards us was just completely unprofessional, his words were slurring, and at one point he even asked my friend "You got a problem or something?" when we tried ordering more drinks. He stopped coming to the table all together which made the rest of the evening difficult having to flag him down for the check or something else. The view is nice, the food is good, the environment of the restaurant is cool, but the service single handedly is preventing me from going back. We had the corn dip, the sidewinders, and the sliders.
You gotta love this rooftop bar in Irvine at the top of the Marriott hotel. It's so cute! I came here earlier to check it out and the views are incredible! The drinks look amazing. This place has a beautiful view and is the perfect place to catch the sunset. I went last night and 1/3 of the place was reserved for a private party, 1/3 was closed off for no reason and the other 1/3 was where they wanted all the people to gather. It was a small area near the bar and elevator and we had no view, so we asked to get seated elsewhere and they said there was nothing available. I was a bit confused since people kept walking in and getting seated elsewhere. For drinks, I ordered champagne and it came in the worst glass I have ever seen (pictured below). For $18, I want a better presentation. My friend got a tequila drink with chamoy and it was soooo sweet and was mostly ice for $23. I won't be back.
Most life changing $10 lavender lemonade mocktail I'll ever have in my life. Like how did you even make that, I don't get it. It's perfectly sweet. I mean literally it's super satisfying all while being planets away from feeling sickening like candy or a soda. Anyway, my friend seemed to enjoy her wine. The fries were good, very fresh. Oh, they brought a birthday desert for her, and it was also phenomenal. I'm shocked because I really liked these drinks and dishes that I usually couldn't care less about; that's how you know it's good. When picky eaters finally find places that can satisfy them, it's really nice. Karen was a total game changer in our experience tonight. She was working so and went out of her way to help make my friend's birthday experience a good one. I thought that this place would be small and more difficult to get to, but that's not the case at all. Also, I saw more families which made for a chill vibe. I felt more comfortable with the variety of guests than anticipated. Valet is like $15 for two hours with validation. It was a good time.

I'll start off by saying the staff was stellar, it was getting busy and they weren't as attentive as we'd like. My friend booked a table for my birthday, there was just 3 of us. They asked if we were celebrating, but nothing else came of it. By no means an expectation, but something would've been nice. However, this is a beautiful space. We were sat in an area with a fire pit, super cute, but it was 90° out so we asked to move. Manny was wonderful and moved us to another area even though they were getting busy. Our waiter Micah took some beautiful photos of us by the way. Thank you to him! Now for the good stuff. Food and drink were delicious. We got a variety of plates and drinks and enjoyed each of them. You can tell the kitchen knows what they're doing. There was an awesome DJ there the night we went too! All in all, would go back. read more

Service is always prompt and very nice. Out waiter was very nice and professional as well as helpful in ordering when we were ready. The food is always incredible and very tasty and fresh I would highly recommend the wings! The views are incredible even without the premium tables purchased for your reservation! I have been here about 3 times total now and I love every time and will continue to be coming back! read more

This was my second time visiting this restaurant -- my first visit was years ago -- and I came back to celebrate a friend's birthday. Overall, the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, but unfortunately the hostess experience kept it from being a full 5-star night. I had a 7:30 reservation and arrived at 7:35, but waited nearly 10 minutes before being acknowledged. The hostess was quite rude and told me we had lost our table because we were "late," even though I had been standing there waiting to be helped. She eventually seated us at a dirty table and the overall interaction felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. Thankfully, our server Omar completely turned the night around -- he was kind, attentive, and very helpful. The manager Dave was also amazing and made sure we were taken care of. The food and drinks were excellent. The cocktails were delicious, the hummus with warm pita was fantastic (definitely ask for extra bread!), and the melted cheese with toasted bread was a highlight. The fries were uniquely cut and perfectly cooked, and the calamari was top-notch. The view and ambiance make this a great place to relax with friends over tapas and drinks. I would come back again for the quality of the food, the beautiful setting, and the wonderful service from Omar -- but I do hope management addresses the front-host experience, as it really sets the tone for the evening. read more

The rooftop bar is at the top of a Marriott hotel. Parking for the hotel/bar is valet only but you can park across the street for free. My friend and I came here with a reservation starting right before sunset. It wasn't busy when we came but ended up being packed toward sunset/after. We started off with some drinks. They're around $15-20 each. We shared the sliders that come with 3. They're good but overpriced. There was a little thing on the menu that said if you join Marriott rewards you can get complimentary sweet potato fries. Those were very good. Overall, it was a good view but overpriced food and drinks. read more
One of very few (maybe only) rooftop bar/lounge/restaurant in the city of Irvine. Went for a light meal and drinks with a couple of friends. Was a nice sized rooftop space and the day was clear and sunny so was very inviting. Heard the view is better at night so may think about stopping by again in the future. On the other hand the food was just so-so. We ordered the beef sliders which were just meh and the beignets which were cold and dry. Maybe we ordered the wrong appetizers. The drinks were also ok. Will have to try again at night. Nice it's close to home but would love to enjoy the food and drinks too. read more

Shout out to Mikah our server who provided excellent service with very detailed explanations on both food and drink and our host who sat us in the best spot to watch the sunset. Came here on a Saturday just after 4pm with no reservation mid-January and were seated right away. Great rooftop chic ambiance. We got the jalapeño margarita, orange beer, blonde beer, and a rose, the sliders, and a cheese bread appetizer. Food was OK. Total was less than $112 before tip. Parking is valet only and $15. This spot is close enough to Spectrum mall so if you're down to walk .4 miles there and .4 miles back you can save on the parking and skip valet. read more
Drove out from Riverside to try this place. Made reservations for 2 and we each tried a couple drinks. My friend had their espressomartini and "the siren" specialty drinks which I also had and was delish! I also tried the "spectrum sunset" which was okay. We shared the few appetizers bulgogi spring rolls (yummy), sea bass ceviche (needed salt), and achiote skewers (amazing!). Our dinner reservations were at 6:30pm and we arrived on time & seated promptly. The set-up and view is amaIng! .every seat has a great view. My girlfriend made reservations for a meetup group event at Hive and Honey. Only 1 elevator goes to the roof and it's not well marked and lacking intuitive operation controls. Reservations are limited to 90 minutes and service was not consistent. By the time we'd all arrived, ordered and finished our drinks and appetizers we were over the 90 minute limit and asked to leave as the following reservation had been waiting for our spot. Drinks were good, food was fair. This wasn't our crowd, mostly in our 50s the rest of the patrons were 40s and younger. Felt like a hipster hangout. Prices are on the top end of reasonable. The views were great. But all things considered i don't see myself returning. read more
Pleasantly surprised by the ambiance of this place! Aesthetically pleasing, chill with beautiful views. Came for a book club happy hour. We were able to talk comfortably with noise levels to a minimum as tables are spaced well. Got there around 6pm sun was blazing. The area we sat in was very hot. but when the sun set we were much more comfortable. A few things I loved-- Calamari Corn dip Ceviche Panzella salad Oysters Sidewinder fries Wings Sliders Steak skewers Drinks-- Old fashioned -- strong! Paper plane -- made well! Dessert Pot de crème Would not get again--pulled pork tacos. So bbqy. Disliked. Service was good. One of my favorite spots in Irvine for happy hour or a girls' night out! This rooftop bar is located inside the Marriott near Irvine Spectrum. The rooftop views are stunning, especially during sunset and the atmosphere really comes alive on Friday nights with live DJs. The staff and bartenders have always been super friendly and attentive every time I've visited. I usually make a reservation ahead of time. Im not sure if they accept walk-ins, so I'd recommend booking in advance just to be safe. Keep in mind, parking is valet-only at the hotel. The food is decent and great for sharing with a group. I really enjoyed the sweet potato fries and the poke nachos. I recommend the Bees Knees or the Wasp Nest for drinks. Overall this is a great spot for drinks and good vibes. read more

While it is technically a Bar, kids seem to be ok. I have seen kids of parents staying at the hotel at Hive & Honey a few times. It may have changed due to COVID though.
