Hidden and word of mouth! We happened upon this restaurant after a bay cruise. Domenico who owns the place really enjoys and puts his heart into the restaurant. He performs and sings, greets all guest and ensures his food and service quality is top notch!! We had the Spaghetti Vongole and it was amazing. The arancini was delicious. I won't even start on the humongous soufflé!! It was soooo delicious!! We are definitely coming back!! Spread the word!!

Dessert! Birthday tiramisu, chocolate soufflé, and crème brûlée.

We came here for a birthday dinner with friends after finding The Red Room online, and it ended up being one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time. None of us had been before, and we've honestly been talking about it ever since. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is awesome. The hostess was welcoming, our server was fantastic, and the whole place has a fun, energetic vibe without feeling over the top. We ordered three appetizers to share, and every one of them was excellent. The burrata was incredibly fresh, the warm bread with olive oil and vinegar was the perfect way to start the meal, and the saffron meatballs were the standout. The short rib stuffed meatballs were absolutely incredible. For our entrees, we ordered five different dishes so everyone could try a little of everything. The lasagna was my favorite, followed closely by the carbonara and the gnocchi. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and cooked perfectly. Since it was our birthday celebration, we couldn't skip dessert. The giant affogato with hazelnut and pistachios was unbelievable and the perfect way to end the meal. What really made the night special, though, was Domenico. He recommended both food and drinks, personally brought each dish to our table, remembered our names, and made us feel like guests in his home instead of customers in a restaurant. The chef even came out to say hello, which was another great touch. It's rare to find a restaurant where the food is this good and the hospitality is even better. This was a true 10/10 experience from start to finish. We'll absolutely be back, and The Red Room has officially earned a spot on our regular restaurant rotation. Highly recommend.

My first visit to Red Room was in early December with my colleague, Big Mike Mac. I had been meaning to check it out for months after coming across it on Yelp while searching for "jazz" or "live jazz" ..something along those lines. I also noticed it had consistently outstanding reviews. This place is special. You simply don't find service like this in Southern California very often anymore. It's rare to experience this level of attention, hospitality, and genuine warmth. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Domenico, the lead bartender, Lorenzo, and several other members of the staff. It was great getting to know them, chatting for a while, and even getting a brief tour of the venue. On my second visit, I experienced just about the full Red Room experience..the whole shebang you could even say. The dinner was fantastic, the ambiance was spot on, and the live music really hit the mark. I saw Lorenzo, the woman who assists behind the bar and also helps run food, along with a few new faces. This has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Orange County. I can't wait to come back, work my way through the rest of the menu, and say Ciao to these fine professionals once again. SALUTI!

Wow okay yessss The Red Room is amazing! My spouse and I came here tonight for our 10 year wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. We started off with bread with oil and vinegar that was warm fresh out of the oven. For an appetizer, we ordered the arancini. It was soooooooo good! For dinner, we ordered the shrimp ravioli and pesto gnocchi. Both were fantastic! Presentation of the food was beautiful too. We got the soufflé for dessert with both sauces on the side. For drinks, we got the lychee martini, a manhattan, and the newport smash. All were amazingggg. The bar tender is fantastic! Service was an 100/10. Eva was our waitress and she was amazing. She was so sweet, helpful with recommendations, and always made sure we had everything we needed. The bar tender was fantastic. He was so personable and even came over to our table to talk with us about our drinks. He even shared a bit about Italy. The owner also was so personable and sweet. He came over, knew me by name, and made sure to wish us a happy anniversary. He came by multiple times to chat and make sure we were doing well. The inside was soooo cool. Such a fun jazzy speak easy vibe. Very classy and yet a fun time. The live music was the cherry on top. Overall a 1000000/10 experience. Incredible authentic food, amazing service all around, and fun vibe. We can't wait to go back :)

We discovered this place looking for a romantic place to celebrate our anniversary and potential place to celebrate my brother's 25th wedding anniversary. This is a beautiful place! The ambiance, the service, the food, everything is just perfect. The hubby and I love coming for special occasions. We've brought friends, brought my brother and sister-in-law and they loved it as well. It feels really special. It's a great to place to dress up, impress your significant other, have an intimate dinner with live music in the background, so romantic. Every time we've come Domenico, the owner, makes it a point to come say hello and welcome you. He and his staff are very attentive which adds to the awesome atmosphere. We've always had a wonderful time. We love it!

everything about this place was fantastic. we were greeted by Domenico, who just made us feel so welcome the whole time. Our server and the bartender were equally attentive, fun & kind. To top off the fantastic guest experience, the food was perfect. I'm very selective about italian food and this truly was delicious. The arancini was my favorite, and the soufflé is as authentic as you can get. Highly recommend and I cannot wait to be back!

Such an amazing night. It started off bad with a mixup on our reservation but when the owner heard us talking he stepped right in and turned it into such a great experience! Great music, and how lucky did we get that they have a member of Gypsy King there that night that they called up to perform. Great ambiance, great date night, fantastic food, service was incredible, the owner was true italian host! Dress up for fun!

Honestly i AM SOOO IMPRESSED! There's beautiful live music and our service was impressive!! We definitely have to come back and try out the food.

Food: 5/5 Ambience: 10/5 Service: 100/5 This place is phenomenal. If I could rate it above 5 stars I absolutely would without hesitation. I took my girlfriend here for her birthday. Food, ambience, service.... it's all there. From the moment we entered we were taken care of. Music was a vibe, food was fantastic (I got the short rib and my girlfriend got chicken pesto gnocchi which were both FANTASTIC), but it's the hospitality of the staff that will make us repeating customers. It was especially special meet the owner, Domenico, who was kind enough to show us around the space. Props to him for also allowing me to sing! We will absolutely be back. Everyone was so kind!

Fantastic venue you're familiar with the Newport Beach area Costa Mesa if you remember, Carmelo's is the same owner. Fabulous service from complete staff never had an empty drink laughed joked interact, including The chef personally came out to say hello. Good drinks music. Really wish there was more venues like this in the Los Angeles area. But while work to drive because you will not get this kind of service elsewhere. thanks Domenico looking forward to my next visit.

We celebrated our 16th year wedding anniversary at The Red Room. Service was amazing from start to finish. The owner reached out to confirm our reservations and when we arrived, the awesome service continued! I'm not a big fan of pasta so I was a little worried about what to expect when we got there but everything we ordered was amazing! I'm def coming back to try their other items. Live music, good food, great ambiance... totally recommend!

We went there on Sat and made a reservation, when arrived it's a beautiful entrance with lights , flowers. Hostess could not find my reservation and told us to hang the bar and was bit unbothered. We waited for almost 25 min and the mean time the owner who was greeting other guests came over and introduced himself and was a very pleasant and friendly gesture, he got us a booth table, they had live music and environment was lovely. Food was good, fresh and on point, definitely coming back.

Outstanding, excellent, authentic, different, memorable, personable. One visit and we felt like regulars, highly recommend. One of the best restaurant experiences we've had in years. Beautiful place of course but hidden so it has a special vibe. Service is 100% spot on and the best part the interaction with the staff is genuine and authentic. Food was top notch and presented well. The restaurant and bar is adjacent to a banquet room that is unique and immaculate. We were lucky to have been there and met the owner which was an experience in itself.

Tried out the Seoul Rider, which was so unique and savory but fresh. Key notes if flavor were kimchi and fish sauce, but honestly very well blend. Sounds a little intimidating, but honestly was great. I already love Miche's, Bloody Mary's, and dirty martinis. So if you are more of a savory esque person, this drink is fun to try if you adventurous. They garnished with a green onion which I frickn love. Oh So Jaded, a gin crafted drink with notes of kiwi and fresh cracked peppercorn. Ugh, so fresh and good. She Devil, such a great drink if you like Moscow Mules or ginger tasting drinks. Kiss My Hisbicus, such a pretty and fruit drink. Definitely on the sweet side an dangerous cause you don't taste the alcohol at all lol. Great bar to stop by with a friend or two to catch up. After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

Chicken & Scallion Skewer and Pork Belly Skewer: 3.75/5- Alone they tasted bland (esp the pork belly) but with the sauces it was better. The Guild Club is a speakeasy located inside of Arc Restaurant Food & Libations on the northeast…read moreside of the OC Mix in Costa Mesa. The space is small, so I definitely recommend using Resy to make a reservation. After checking in with the host at Arc, you will be guided to the rear of the restaurant to small round room with a mirrored door and a beautiful chandelier overhead. Upon entering, you will walk through another small hallway with green light and wood framed mirrors on the wall. At this point, you have now entered the Guild Club. The centerpiece is an attractive granite topped bar that seats nine people. The back of the bar features a beautiful wood cabinet with intricate carvings. There is a small area across from the bar with two round tables, each with two high back cushy chairs. This area is more intimate, but the tables are small if you plan to eat and drink a lot. The walls, floor, and ceilings are dark with lots of woodwork, giving a warm cozy feel. There are a nice assortment of interesting lighting fixtures, and paintings on the walls. A few small ceiling areas are painted dark green and display gold astrological signs. At the end of the bar, there is a spiral staircase leading to an upstairs space that I believe is for display only, but it adds a touch of mystique. The Guild has its own small menu of exclusive cocktails and bites, but you can also order anything from the Arc menu. We started off with an order of shishito peppers which were probably some of the best we have ever had. The portion size is very generous, and they have some herbs, almond crumble, and squeezed lemon on top. Be warned that the cast iron skillets that a lot of their food is served in are extremely hot. For cocktails, I started with the Number One. It was a good balanced cocktail with noticeable cucumber flavor and some bitterness on the finish from the Pimms. She started with Einhorn Is Finkle. It had a great light sweetness with some grapefruit flavor and light bubbles. For my entrée, I had the crispy duck. This is actually a big ball of duck meat with a fried coating on the outside. The duck was very flavorful and nothing about the duck or fried shell was greasy or oily. The grated cheese paired well and the arugula added a nice freshness. This was a great dish that I would definitely order again. She ordered the chile relleno. Obviously, Arc is not a Mexican restaurant but this was surprisingly probably the best chile relleno we have ever had. It had a great pumpkin seed crust with a very flavorful succotash inside. The chili itself was huge and filled up the whole skillet. We would absolutely order this again. I was talking with our bartender JT about my recent new appreciation for mezcal if it's toned down and that none of the mezcal drinks on either cocktail menu really caught my eye. He suggested a Last Word with mezcal replacing the gin. I enjoyed it, but the mezcal was a little too prominent for my taste. For her second cocktail, she ordered The Girlfriend which has a humorous description of "changes daily". The current girlfriend when we were there was a twist on a blackberry margarita. This was surprisingly the best drink of the night, and was definitely the most complex margarita we have ever had. It had a light blackberry flavor, and I believe some of the other ingredients that JT mentioned were grapefruit, lime, cocoa, and cinnamon bitters. For dessert, we ordered the German chocolate cake. It was a huge slice of moist cake and was served with a large dollop of fresh cream. The cake wasn't overly sweet which was nice. We shared one last drink, the Liquid Courage as it sounded like a nice dessert cocktail. On my first sip, I tasted coffee which was unexpected. I asked about it, and apparently the drink menu does not list the Nola coffee liqueur that is in this drink. I'm not a fan of coffee, but at least this cocktail had more of a mocha flavor than a strong coffee flavor. I probably wouldn't have ordered it if the ingredient list was accurate, but I think coffee or mocha lovers would enjoy it more. Our bartender JT was pretty much running everything by himself with only a little outside help, and he was doing a great job. He was also very friendly and we enjoyed our conversations with him. The prices are a little on the high side, but the drinks were good, and the food was excellent with generous portion sizes. Our reservation was for 6:00pm and I would recommend visiting a little closer to sunset. There are some outside windows on the far wall and even though there are drapes, a little light still comes through. And if the door to the outside patio is opened, a lot of light comes in if the sun is up. The Guild Club is a great little speakeasy that I only recently discovered, and I would definitely recommend checking it out.

This place is located inside a gorgeous shopping center in Irvine…read more It's located inside, Bacchus Bar and Bistro. Which, was extremely crowded. They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! And to be honest it wasn't that bad. I'll say, speakeasy's usually shine in the drink department vs food. Drinks -Lycheed and Loaded Ketel One, lychee liqueur, lemon, elderflower. This was extremely delicious! If you don't like to taste your alcohol? Go with this. It was really refreshing. Hand this to me at a spa and I'd be the happiest gal in the world -Camp Anawanna $17 Graham cracker-infused bourbon, licor 43, chocolate, torched marshmallow (the waitress catches the marshmallow on fire at the table) This one was stronger and I didn't think it was overly sweet despite the ingredients I think they had a good selection, especially for a small speakeasy. I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.
