All the candles are soooo cool The drinks are made with care and the well liquor is high quality. I recommend coming here if you want to experience a drink made by a mixologist. Beyond the mixology, the bar is very approachable and easy for just a regular drink as well. I ordered the vesper: gin and vodka martini with a twist. The good cocktails and super intimate vibe make for a great recipe. There are a couple high quality leather upholstered couches. Along with the couches there are a few high tops and a good amount of seats at the bar. The space would be very fun when crowded but I tend to prefer to have to have the bar to myself. Then I can spend time talking with the person behind the bar (I'm sure I can be very annoying) I was served by Karena. She was super knowledgeable and patient. I wanted to talk about different cocktails and really get the full experience. The whole visit exceeded my expectations. I visited Pie Society with my friend on a Saturday evening. There was a parking lot by the building, so we had no issues with finding a spot. Locating the Pie Society speakeasy entrance was no issue--there are two ways in: through Pitfire Pizza or from the back of the building. There was initially only a couple other people when we arrived, but the place started filling up with more people throughout our meal. I ordered the vegetarian white bean soup & the everybody wants some cocktail. My friend got the margherita pizza as well as the in the cosmos cocktail & life of the party cocktail. Speakeasy located near the parking lot behind Pitfire Pizza. It's a dimly intimate space with a hustling/bustling atmosphere. Surprisingly loud for a speakeasy with limited seating inside and outside. When I think Speakeasy, I think crafted drinks. To my disappointment the cocktails were subpar. Perfect Paloma - I had high expectations of this because of the name "perfect". It was an average tasting Paloma with a very feint grapefruit flavor from the Fever Tree Grapefruit soda they use. Far from feeling like a crafted drink, and tasted a bit watered down. Green Tea Whisky Sour - Tasted sorta like a sherbet float because of the egg white texture and sweet/sour notes. I didn't taste the green tea at all. There's a lot of carb options to complement your drinking pleasure - pasta, pizzas, breads galore. We didn't try the food but will definitely try if we ever come back. Service was friendly and attentive enough despite the busy crowd. read more

For a "speakeasy", it was more of a speak loudly...it was a busy and loud night. We went on a Saturday night around 9pm and it was CROWDED. Also sticky. They do not limit the amount of people coming in like other speakeasy's, so the crowd, noise and overall feel was very dive bar-like. Luckily we found a table with enough stools for a group of 4 and went up to the bar to order since it didn't seem like there was any table service... But it did take us a while to get situated in this space, as in -- find seating, figure out if theres a menu and where we can get one, if there is table service and so on. Drinks did not impress us either. No draft beers, only cans. But we do want to come back and try the pizza from the adjoining space since that did look good.....and they have beers on tap. If we could have ordered pizzas while at pie society,, we wouldn't have known since no staff informed us. Tldr: not great for big parties, there is a parking lot, and it gets busy since there is no limit to capacity or reservation. I would not categorize this as a speakeasy, only maybe on a day where capacity is at 10 and not 40 in a small space like here. If you just want a nice space for pizza and beers, skip this place and just make the stop at pit fire next door. read more

They're located behind Pitfire Pizza (enter through the back door by the parking lot. Upon first impressions...it's a super cozy spot, not too big, comfy sofas, friendly bartender, and a cute date night spot. They also have tables on their patio with heaters. We grabbed a seat at one of the sofas and ordered 3 pizzas, meatballs, and a few cocktails. My favorite of the 3 pizzas (honey bear, IYKYK, and sausage party) was honey bear. It was super unique, a perfect blend of sweet and spicy and overall just delicious. The other pizzas were really good too but that one was my favorite. I'll definitely be back soon! read more

I frequent this speakeasy quite often & have no idea if the two bartenders who closed on June 6th were just in a bad mood or what. From the moment my party sat down, they made sure our party felt like they were going out of their way for putting in an order of drinks. Literally had one round and when we walked to the bar to ask for another round, we were cut off mid sentence with "WE ARE CLOSED". Mind you, the hours of operation state you're not and they never once gave us a heads up that they were closing soon and maybe let us know in case we want a second round? Guess not, because everything is clearly revolving around the two bartenders and whatever mood they're currently in... It's an absolute shame because I truthfully love the food and drinks here, but there is zero chance I am coming back to this establishment. Figure other patrons and management need to know how horrendous the "service" was last night. Good luck, I will not be back. read more

We came on a Tuesday evening around 8pm and the place filled up pretty quickly. Space is limited so arrive early and grab a seat. Parking was easy. Lots of drinks to choose from, including various kinds of bourbons and whiskey. They even had an option for whiskey flights which is super cool. We didn't order food but you can order food from the Pitfire and the pizza looked delicious. Next time will definitely have to try the pizza. read more

After you park, walk towards the right side of the back and there's a door that will lead you to their outdoor seating. It wasn't too busy on a Friday night at 6pm. I only stopped for one drink, but contemplated getting food and more drinks that I don't need. I got the Pretty Bird because it sounded different from what I normally drink and there was egg white. Love a cocktail with egg whites. It wasn't as spirit forward as I usually like my cocktails, but this was very tasty and fruity. I do want to go back to try their other offerings. Sorry pictures are such a weird color - we sat outside on the speakeasy side so the lighting wasn't great. This place is so cool! It's a speakeasy but also a restaurant! There's a back patio area that is indoor/outdoor. The inside doesn't get pretty busy so try to come a little early if you want to sit inside, but the outside wasn't bad at all. The Caesar salad was so good!!! So delicious with the breadcrumbs! The margarita was delicious - I love that the cheese doesn't fall of once it comes out. read more

This place has been on my list for a while since they have a vegan cheese option you can add to your pizza. Upon entering your order at the counter and then take your number and sit down. I do wish they had a smaller pizza size so that I could get one pizza and half that be my serving. This is about two servings for me and so I it ended up being a little bit more expensive than I wanted to spend but I had leftovers. The vegan cheese is very delicious. They use on the pizza. I added some tomatoes olives, and bell pepper. The pizza was really delicious. However I was not that big of a fan of the thick crust. I usually really enjoy pizza crust, but I wasn't that big of a fan so I ended up leaving the crust and not eating it. The server was nice and checked on us multiple times and brought us a water and glasses, which was nice to have. Inside they have a lot of booths and it is a very casual vibe. There was a birthday party going on and for a Tuesday night the ambience was casual and pretty quiet. I have heard it gets busy here on weekends. read more

Could've done without the brussel sprouts which were basically raw but it's all so chill here that we didn't even mind . Service last night June 6 by the two bartenders that close the place down was terrible. Our friend who lives nearby had us up and we thought we'd swing in for a late night drink. We were respectful at all times so the female bartender's attitude was inexplicable. She was bothered our friend ordered a jack and coke responding "we don't have jack and we don't have coke" which was fine he didn't care and ordered the basic (and average) tequila cocktail with us. She asked us if we wanted to open the tab and we did. It was pretty late but we'd have had another one before closing. We went and sat in along the wall and stuck to ourselves just catching up as we never see eachother. We noticed it was about to close so one of us went to the bar and asked for another round and she responded coldly "we're closed". We get it, but thought she'd have come over and ask if we wanted another round before closing as it approached given the open tab. It was clear it was intentional, especially as we finished our drinks and they started playing obnoxious songs referring to "hubbys" because we're in our 40s. They were laughing and being immature rather than asking us nicely to leave which we would have or just being courteous. As we left we said goodbye and they both started loudly saying BYE, SEE YOU TOMORROW, HAPPY FATHERS DAY, repeatedly. We're pretty proud of being dads and were pretty taken back by their gen x service, being immature and rude, for literally no reason. We even tipped them 20% which I wouldn't have but my friend did. Again, he was born there, and lives with his family blocks away but won't be back. It's a shame this generation doesn't get it and hurts business owners with their bad service! To note: we did not have the pizza and only visited the back bar. She's a nasty person and the guy was weak, both immature; might want to think of another "career" path. read more
