Chopped Mediterranean Salad (added grilled chicken)
Cathrine S.

Such a fun restaurant! Beautifully decorated, elegant, and upscale with an elevated yet casual menu - Benny & Mary's is for everyone! We enjoyed a "girls dinner," here on a weeknight, it wasn't too crowded but I made a reservation on Open Table to be safe. They have a large dining room, bar seating, and a patio as well. Their menu was on the smaller side but offered plenty of options for all. We loved our short rib fries, burgers, and the mediterranean salad. Fresh ingredients, friendly service, elegant ambiance. This is a great stool for a lunch, dinner, date night, girls night, or celebration. Highly recommend checking it out for yourself! *Super easy and accessible parking in a lot near the restaurant, take your parking ticket with you for complimentary validation.

The atmosphere is wonderful and the food was very good. It was a very positive experience, so we plan to return in the near future with friends. I had been stalking Yelp for a while, but, unfortunately, a couple of the cocktails that I was interested in (Cucumber Ginlet and Peartini) are not currently available. Drinks - Espresso Martini 4.5/5: Very well balanced, not bitter but also not overly creamy or sweet, just how I prefer it. - Cadillac Margarita, Mezcal 4/5: A great smokey flavor with a citrus finish. It paired really well with the Diablo Burger. Food - Cheese Dumplings 4.5/5: The tomato bisque was well seasoned and rich. The wonton had a nice crunch and a great cheesey flavor that elevated the dish. - Tomato Bisque, Cheese Toast: 3.5/5: The tomato bisque was still great, but the toast did not really have any cheese or added flavor. It did add good texture, and it likely would have been a higher rating if we dud not just have the Cheese Dumplings. - Short Rib Tacos 4.5/5: There was a generous amount of short rib and it were very flavorful, with the pickled vegetables and complimentary sauces - Diablo Smash Burger, Fries 4/5: As a smash burger, I wish that it would have had some carmelization or lace, but it might have been leaner patties. The peppers really made the burger and added a little kick. The fries were savory and had a crunchy exterior with a soft center. Dessert - Berry Cheesecake 5/5: I am usually not a cheesecake fan, but this was amazing. The berry swirl brought out the cirtus, cutting the tang. The blackberries and strawberry were so fresh and sweet. We had a late morning reservation for brunch on Saturday, and were surpsied that it was not very full. The restaurant was very clean and well maintained. It has an informal elegance and is very welcoming and comfortable. We were seated upon arrival and our waitress quickly took our drink order and made appetizer suggestions, including the Cheese Dumplungs, which were fantastic. The staff was attentive, without hovering or interrupting.

I've now had 3 almost perfect experiences here so an upgraded rating is warranted. Service, including the amazing bartenders, is always great. Ambiance and vibes are super cool. Food is to die for! We shared the short rib fries and they were absolutely perfect. 10/10 no notes! The chicken Milanese was good too. And the matcha cocktail?! I don't normally choose whiskey but wow it was perfect! I love this restaurant and will probably be back for date night soon.

I love this place so I was excited to come during restaurant week. We did the early bird dining, lol. I got the Caesar salad, Salmon - Almond crusted 8oz salmon filet, served on a bed of rice,a sherry gastrique roasted vegetables, finished with a creamy dijon mustard sauce, and Cherry Ricotta Cheesecake. I liked the lemon dressing on the salad, light. My salmon was a bit overcooked so dry. I liked my salmon last time better. I also wasn't a fan of the Dijon mustard sauce. Way too mustardy for me. The roasted veggies were good but it was carrots, a little cauliflower & onions. Not the usual veggies but at least they tasted good. The cheesecake was yummy and not overly sweet. Nephew wanted the garlic Parmesan fries which I asked for no parsley or whatever green stuff but it came with it. Oh well. Friend loved the garlic. Nephew thought the fries were ok. Friend enjoyed her salad and Short Rib Stroganoff. I tried it but it was the same mustardy sauce which I wasn't a fan of. Lots of short ribs though. She loved it.

3.5- food was decent but service was only ok. The server wasn't very attentive- we had to ask multiple times for water refills... we were there for my friend's birthday, there's 5 of us and the service brought out a brownie dessert to celebrate but he ended up charging me $12 for it. Also he added me 21% of automatic gratuity when the receipt clearly states that will add for 6 or more in the party! I had to tell him to update my bill.... Also their drinks are very weak...

The food was awesome and the decor was ever better ... never thought that I could drive five minutes away and experience this restaurant and they even have a speak easy ... the drinks were amazing and the food was great

We've been eyeing this place for some time and our expectations were not just met -- it was way surpassed. The restaurant is quite eye catching with its pretty facade in the midst of towering buildings...and then you go inside and you'll be as pleased - soft and warm lighting, sophisticated interiors with so much character and style. The food was awesome. We started with Cheese Dumplings and Braised Rib Tacos which were delightful, and I had a ribeye as entree -- Juicy and tender, each bite moist and succulent and flavorful, especially that it's served on a bed of some puree that I cannot remember. My husband had a Chilean Sea Bass and enjoyed it so much too. And the Banana Cookie Butter Pie is so seriously good, one of these days I may just go to the restaurant by myself and order this to-go. Isabel was the best. We had our own charming attendant but she got a bit busy towards the end of the meal (so much so that I couldn't even stop her to get her name), so we asked Isabel to take our photo. The best in customer service, not to mention very pretty herself -- she made sure our photo was well taken, took time to suggest our seating arrangement...my husband and I really appreciated it. Found someone who knows how to take that extra mile to make customers feel well taken cared of. The entire experience at this restaurant was just splendid.

Such a pretty spot for date night! Parking was easy as it's in a business center I believe. We used valet but probably could have just self parked. Super nice person working valet too! We walked in and what a beautiful set up! The colors the ambiance, I loved it! Greeted as we walked in and seated right away, we had reservations. Server and staff amazing! Started with a cocktail and delicious! Asked for the Bartender's Whim to see what fun drink I'd get as I love surprises and it was tasty and pretty! The s''more...delicious!!! We had a couple appetizers to start and they were both delicious!! Then a bottle of wine with our entrees that they keep an ice bucket next to us and kept our glasses full! Entrees came out hot and so good! Fish was not dry and very tasty! The sides were also great tasting! Bathrooms are clean and it's a pretty big restaurant! Will definitely be back!

I love the ambiance at Benny and Mary's as well as the food! They have such a wide variety of delicious food on their menu and the service is attentive and helpful if you have any adjustments or questions! I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant! In particular we like the Chicken Piccata and the Ribeye Sandwich- and don't forget to check out their desserts! My favorite is the Hazelnut Chocolate Crunch-light and delicious!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day dinner. We made reservations outside but they offered a lovely inside table. The service was just the right tempo. We ordered drinks and decided to share a few appetizers. I think won tons and green beans perfectly done! Our dinners were delicious. I had the steak sandwich and it was the best I've had in a long time! And the fries are so crispy! We shared a few desserts. I'd like to name but you won't regret having a few bites! Will definitely be back!

I was very pleasantly surprised with the aesthetic quality of Benny and Mary's best inside and outside. On the outside it looks like a Tuscan villa and on the insight it has a very oaky and almost regal feel with the hidden speakeasy type setting. I had multiple drinks, however the Short Rib was a standout - The Braised Short Rib sits Atop Pomme Purée, Charred Asparagus, Demi-Glace and it is phenomenal. It's moist and flavorful and we received it at the height of dinner in less than 20 minutes it seems. The service was attentive and decisive in providing recommendations based on customer interest and restrictions. Would highly recommend!

Very cool and trendy spot. Large open restaurant with a pretty bar and nice patio. We came for brunch, which had a good variety of food and drink options. Everything was tasty and good quality. Seemed pretty mellow for Saturday brunch. Staff members were nice, even allowing us to check out their speakeasy which is open at night with reservations. Def want to come back to see the speakeasy at night!

My group of friends came by for brunch on Saturday. We were blessed to have Jessica as our server. She was just a ball of sunshine. Her professionalism and kindness left us all planning our next visit back

We got the cranberry sage mimosa and pear ginger mimosa to drink. For a starter, we got the house made biscuits. Our entrees were the pblt, crab cake benedict, and lobster roll. Pear Ginger Mimosa- This is a sweet and spicy drink with a strong pear flavor and a little zing of ginger. Quite refreshing! House Made Biscuits- The biscuits are hot and fluffy with a nice crusty top. Served with thyme butter and sweet honey spread. PBLT- This sandwich has a pork belly base that is savory and meaty. A bit of tomato jam gives it a nice contrast and honey bacon aioli adds a little sweetness. Crab Cake Benedict- The crab cake is fresh and poached eggs add extra bulk with each bite. The hollandaise sauce ties the flavors together. Served with a side of green salad. Lobster Roll- Fresh lobster pieces tossed in a cold mayo dressing. Someone try the alcoholic version and let me know what it's like haha. BENCHMARK BLOODY MARY: 5/5 my friend liked it and it was spicy! ENCHILIDA SUIZAS, lobster + shrimp filling, corn, poblano cream sauce, pickled red onion, cilantro, queso fresco, I give 5/5, I enjoyed the combination of the sauce and enchiladas, it wasn't overcooked and had a great refreshing savory flavor. Plated very nicely, visually appealing. BULGOGI KIMCHI FRIED RICE, fried eggs, gochujang, green onion furikake, pickled radish, cilantro, I give 4/5, overall I enjoyed this plate, but I do feel the beef could have been slightly stronger in terms of flavor? The rice was holding all the spices and taste. DULCE DE LECHE FRENCH TOAST, crème fraîche chantilly, brûléed banana, chocolate sauce, maldon salt, I would give 5/5, presentation was beautiful, taste wise I really enjoyed it, had a very good balance of sweetness and not too strong. I know my ratings are less than a 5 in general, but I really felt the whole experience was pleasant, enjoyable, good food and good vibes, therefore 5 out of 5

The patties are thin yet flavorful - the over easy eggs prepared runny just like I ordered and the rice is soft and warm. The homemade gravy is the best part because it brings everything together. The Pork Belly with Black Garlic and the Seared Duck Breast were both perfectly executed. Crunchy, golden skin. Juicy meat. Rich, flavorful sauces paired with comforting, silky purées. Balanced. The kind of plates that make us slow down to savor each mouthful... and then shamelessly scrape up every last bite. We were so smitten after those first two dishes that we threw all caution and control to the wind. I asked staff to surprise us with one of the dishes recommended earlier. Out came the Grilled Octopus Al Pastor. Nice char, tender bite, and a tangy sauce. For dessert: the Baklava Cheesecake. Lightly spritzed with aromatic rose water, ultra sweet, and unapologetically indulgent. Beautifully crafted and shareable, though you may not want to. Beyond the food, the ambience really shines. Intimate, classy, and whimsical, with a charming playlist. Ideal for date nights or special celebrations. Service was outstanding. Warm, attentive, and passionate. One of the ingredients listed was shishito peppers. I showed the server that there weren't shishito peppers. Without me asking, he told the kitchen to prepare a plate on the side, which was nice. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, which was the one good thing about the dish. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops, which were under seasoned and the carrots were undercooked. We wanted to order more, but decided against it because we were disappointed by the arancini, which was also under seasoned and greasy. We live close by and really wanted to like the restaurant. The ambiance was pretty poor. The large wall screen was playing a series of "screensavers"/stock footage that was distracting. It was on repeat too, and I probably saw the dancing astronaut 3-4 times. We were celebrating a birthday and the hostess said she'd make a note when we made the reservation and they'd take care of us. Nothing happened, and that's fine but just shows that the price you're paying doesn't match the level of food or service you'd expect. For any special occasions, I'd celebrate elsewhere.
