    whole chicken and sides
    Laleen K.

Was at the Irvine Spectrum and saw a line out the door for this place- I love Mediterranean food and I was excited to give it a try regardless of the wait, it took about 30 minutes for the food to come out on a busy day, a little hard to find seating because the store itself is pretty small, but there is plenty of seating outside of the store at the Spectrum. You can see the kitchen preparing the food from the register as well! We ordered the whole chicken which came with two sides and I think this one was my favorite because of how juicy the chicken was when I tore it open. We also ordered the chicken with the salad and a pineapple drink. Overall, I had a great experience and it was so yummy!

Dizzy Bird has quickly become one of my fav eats for chicken! I have been wanting to try this hot spot for awhile, so when given an opportunity, I scheduled a lunch date w/ the hubs (since we were already at the Spectrum, dropping off our daughter for a hangout). We stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon (around 2:30ish) and it was poppin'. Even tho there was a line, ordering was fairly quick, since we knew what we wanted & ordered via the kiosk. Seating (both indoors & out) was hot real estate, so you really needed to keep an eye out to grab one before it's gone. Luckily, a fam was finishing up as we finished our ordering. Upon seating down, our name was called at the pick-up counter, so service was efficient. The vibe is chill, but fast-paced/hectic as well. Both the hubs & I ordered a two-thigh plate ~ which comes w/ 2 sides ($19.99/each). We opt'd for just the classic/original, no fancy smansy sauce it up..so we can truly taste the quality. I chose the pesto pasta salad & roasted lemon garlic potatoes for my sides & the hubs got the side salad & baked sweet potato. It was alot of food, for the price point..so it's fair (factoring in, we are dining at the Spectrum too). The food was fresh, chicken was moist & flavorful, and everything was cooked perfectly. The chicken was really juicy w/ a crispy exterior, and the sides complemented the meal well. I loved my pesto pasta salad. It reminded me of a mac salad (which I always get if given the chance), but w/ a pesto taste mixed in. Filling & refreshing. The potatoes were seasoned & grilled well. It had loads of flavor. I really liked my hub's baked sweet potato too. We halfsies the sides, so that we each could try everything. OMG..do yourself a favor and order extra TOUM (it's only like 0.75 cents extra)!!! That Lebanese garlic sauce is BOMB! I dipped it w/ literally EVERYTHING ~ from my pita bread to my chicken, and even my potatoes. YUMSSS.. All in all, great portions for the price & definitely worth a visit, esp. if you're craving fresh and healthy & in the area already. We'll be coming back again. RxFoodie recommend!!!

We've been to Dizzy Bird countless times and the food is always consistent. The rotisserie chicken is juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. The Cali Salad with lemon dressing is a favorite. Friendly service and great food

--- Definitely not a duck - it's chicken, and the dizzy bird will leave you dizzy in the best way. I normally wouldn't stop at a place like this, but you've gotta try Dizzy Bird here at the Irvine Spectrum. Everything is fresh, from the chicken to the salads and the drinks, and it's quickly become one of my favorite spots out here. If you're at the Spectrum and craving something tasty and satisfying, hit this place up.

I've been meaning to try this place for so long and finally got the chance. It's located in Irvine spectrum, close to the playground. We got there right at opening and they always h a steady stream of customers. Service was efficient. Cashier was very patient explaining items to us newbies! Very casual atmosphere with seats inside and outside. Food came out fresh and hot. The chicken was so so so good-very tender and juicy. Fries were crispy and you can tell they just made them! Pesto pasta was also a nice added touch. I can't wait to come back in the future.

Just tried Dizzy Bird for the first time with a coworker for lunch today 3/24/26....sitting back at my desk trying to figure out where to begin. By far, what absolutely made the experience such a joy, was being helped by Tenzin!!! He was so happy to go over the menu and recommend things to us. Dizzy Bird should take notice of him providing amazing customer service! He was so welcoming and kind- it's not always the case and he surpassed my expectations. The food was amazing, not even gonna lie. I need to be back and try their salads. Everything tasted 10/10 !!!! They have a garlic sauce that is AMAZING!! This is a must try if you happen to be in the area or hanging out at the Spectrum. YUM!! I even ordered to go for next day's lunch!! So so good!

Quarter leg combo with corn and fries
    Liz N.

Got this to go and ordered it online. The food was ready before the estimated time despite it being quite busy at the restaurant. We ordered the quarter leg combo which comes with 2 sides and we chose the corn and fries. It also comes with some lavash, garlic sauce, and pickles. The food was delicious! Chicken was super tender and the garlic sauce has a nice kick to it that balances everything out. I want to go back and try the wraps!

Visited Dizzy Bird on Memorial Day, and despite the place being absolutely packed, the staff handled the rush really well and got our order out without any issues. We ordered the half rotisserie chicken with roasted potatoes, corn, and fries, along with the Classic Bird and Hot Bird shawarma wraps. The rotisserie chicken was the best part of the meal. It was incredibly flavorful, juicy, and tender. I've always considered Zankou to be the best rotisserie chicken around, but I have to say.... I think Dizzy Bird takes that crown now. The sides were surprisingly good too, definitely not an afterthought. Me and my husband loved the roasted potatoes and corn. Both were packed with flavor. As for the wraps, they were decent, but I personally don't plile the thicker crunch-wrap style bread they use. It felt a little dry because of the bread to filling ratio. Between the two, I thought the Classic Bird was better than the Hot Bird, though neither stood out as much as the rotisserie chicken. I'll definitely be back for the rotisserie chicken and sides, but will probably skip out on the wraps. The entire menu is halal. Parking at Irvine Spectrum on Memorial Day was incredibly difficult, so plan accordingly depending on when you visit.

This is my second time coming to dizzy bird at the spectrum. Both times I got the hot bird wrap. This time we placed our order online to avoid some possible wait time. Both times I've been to the store, the layout and size make it so that it ends up quite cramped and difficult to navigate, and there's no good place to wait to receive your food. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and are generous with sauce or whatever you need. The food seems to be consistently very fresh, and their flavors are strong and on point. I recommend asking for a side of their goddess ranch and hot sauce, both are made in house I believe and have very good flavor. Definitely worth the trip to spectrum just to grab dinner.

It was my first time trying this place after hearing so much about it and seeing their ads around Irvine. I honestly loved it! We ordered the 2-piece chicken plate with two sides (pesto pasta was delicious!), the garlic lemon potato which was amazing, and a chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. They also have great lemonade with free refills, and the ambiance is casual and family-friendly. Highly recommend if you're craving chicken plates, chicken breast, or a really good sandwich! All the staff are very friendly helpful.

I really like this spot! If you're looking for a quick and tasty takeout spot this was a great one. There is seating but it's primarily a takeout style restaurant with condiments to go and a soda bar. I got the silly bird wrap and thought it had great flavor, the rotisserie chicken was cooked perfectly and the DB was the perfect addition of flavor. This will definitely be a new spot on my list!

    Silly Bird French Fries
    Robbie S.

The food was really flavorful. We got the sillybird with fries which has a good amount of chicken to vegetable ratio. The house sauce was good as well a tart flavor that's slightly sweet similar to a chick-fil-a sauce. The service was good the guy at the front was nice and had a good voice. The inside of the restaurant was chill with good amount of seating. I would come back here again.

I've always seen the line for this place and I've wanted to try it but I was like oh the food looks whatever.... so I came today for lunch and there was still a bit of a line but nothing crazy like on the weekends so I ordered the silly bird wrap and I honestly was not expecting too much from this place. I WAS WRONG. Wow was I wrong! First bite I was like OMG FLAVORRRRR the chicken was so flavorful the crunch on the wrap and that soft potato and that sauce!! The price was incredible for Irvine spectrum I will definitely be back!!

Located in a small but busy plaza, HOK is a small, potentially packed restaurant with a few tables outside. About half full mid afternoon on a Saturday, i got a table and quickly made a decision to try the combination plate with a chicken and kubideh kabob, with rice. Next time I'll branch out, but this first sample provided much pleasure and evidence that they can't do anything wrong (except be closed when I'm craving more ;) A few minutes after placing my order the warm flatbread came out with butter. Comparatively, many other Persian restaurants use Lavash sections, so I enjoyed the contrast. The neighboring table of four received their plates one at a time, so I figured the kitchen and grill were probably also fairly constricted like the lobby. Nonetheless, it didn't take long and the generous, colorful portions were a sight to behold! The first thing I noticed was how moist and tender both kabobs were. Not burnt or dry anywhere on either type. That's attributable to the elevated method of grilling, but here the chef has it down to a science. The second observation came later when I didn't feel excessively thirsty, or bloated, ir dehydrated. Some restaurants really brine the meat while marinating, but here it's another level of perfection. Good service and a reasonable price, although the menu prices might be behind current food costs. Still, it was totally worth it. I didn't have a way to keep leftovers in a safe temperature range, so I ate everything. Full, but not stuffed.

A lot of people I trust have raved about it, and I'm glad I gave it a shot. Our server, Leyla, was great. She took orders for 6 people entirely from memory without a single mistake, all while staying kind, attentive, and composed during a busy service. The food was excellent. The tahdig was crispy, and the stews were rich and homemade, easily some of the best I've had. The koobideh kabob was flavorful and cooked very well, and the chicken barg was equally good. For dessert, the faloodeh had a good balance of rose water, and the Persian ice cream was just as good. I really enjoyed everything about this place and will absolutely be back.

Despite a sign saying 'Wait to be seated,' there was no hostess present. After 5 minutes of waiting, a busboy who didn't speak English attempted to seat us without welcoming us. He barely communicated that no seats were available outside, and when I asked what the wait time was, he could not answer. I found the manager, a Persian lady in her 50s, and asked if she could tell me when an outside table would be available. In a surprisingly snarky tone, she snapped in Farsi, 'You're asking me for the impossible, how do I know how long it's going to take for them to be done? Do *you* know how long it's going to take for them to be done?' I was shocked. Obviously, the answer to a question like this is a standard 15 to 25 minutes of wait time, but unfortunately, she chose a much harder and completely unnecessary response pattern. I told her that this is no way to speak with a customer and started to walk away, choosing to take our business to Caspian Restaurant instead. Unbelievably, she then yelled after me, 'Excuse me, I asked you a question, why are you walking away?' to which, of course, I did not respond. I feel everybody should know about this because a restaurant in such an expensive location needs customer service as its foundation to get repeat clients. It's very unfortunate that this happens to restaurants where the owners are silent and hire the wrong managers--managers who can't handle stress well, or who feel their outdated customer support still holds up in 2026. Unless they change their management style and make a visible change, I would strongly discourage anyone from needing to experience the same.

Ordering is entirely self-service via a digital kiosk, with no staff on hand to assist you. 3. There are no bathrooms available anywhere on-site.
