    Hot Bird

I came into Dizzy Bird at the Irvine Spectrum and absolutely loved it! The menu is healthy, balanced, and delicious. The chicken is very tender and juicy with the best spice. My fiancé ordered the Hot Bird and I got the 1/4 chicken plate with the lemon garlic potatoes and pesto pasta salad. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. We both really enjoyed the meals we ate and can't wait to come back! The prices are also very reasonable, especially given the portion sizes. My only complaint might the seating which can feel a bit cramped when busy but it's definitely worth the visit for the food! Highly recommend.

I have seen such great reviews and talk about Dizzy Bird and I visit the Spectrum quite a bit so I was set to go visit and see what the buzz was all about. When we arrived on a Saturday afternoon it was pretty busy, only a few seats were avail in the shade outside and it was full inside. People eat pretty quick though and I noticed after waiting a few minutes, people were able to find seats. We wanted to try a couple of different items so we go a bowl and we got a wrap. The food was ready in about 10 minutes or so, not too long of a wait. Maybe i'm in the minority but I didn't think it was that great to where I would want to go back again. The bowl had standard things that I didn't think were all that great like the cherry tomatoes, pita chips, lettuce. The chicken was moist and tender, I did like that and the wrap had a delish sauce I think its their dizzy sauce. But nothing really stood out to me. Maybe I would have to order just the chicken plate not the bowl. The food did taste very fresh and high quality, also the bowl seemed healthy, that's a plus!

A quick spot with quick service! Great portions. Nothing too spectacular but food was great and it was enjoyable when I was there with my friend for a quick checkup!

The atmosphere is highly energetic with the smiling staff. I happened to stand in line in front of one of the most annoying customer who asked about anything and everything and after adding and deleting numerous things she ended up cancelling it all except for one small thing. Hats off to the youth handling it all with a beautiful and understanding smile and not an eye roll or a big deep breath after she left. This is some really great upbringing and the training. Oh yes! Loved the fries and the Mediterranean salad. I lived it even without the dressing it comes with. You shouldn't try it!

Was at the Irvine Spectrum and saw a line out the door for this place- I love Mediterranean food and I was excited to give it a try regardless of the wait, it took about 30 minutes for the food to come out on a busy day, a little hard to find seating because the store itself is pretty small, but there is plenty of seating outside of the store at the Spectrum. You can see the kitchen preparing the food from the register as well! We ordered the whole chicken which came with two sides and I think this one was my favorite because of how juicy the chicken was when I tore it open. We also ordered the chicken with the salad and a pineapple drink. Overall, I had a great experience and it was so yummy!

Dizzy Bird has quickly become one of my fav eats for chicken! I have been wanting to try this hot spot for awhile, so when given an opportunity, I scheduled a lunch date w/ the hubs (since we were already at the Spectrum, dropping off our daughter for a hangout). We stopped by on a late Sunday afternoon (around 2:30ish) and it was poppin'. Even tho there was a line, ordering was fairly quick, since we knew what we wanted & ordered via the kiosk. Seating (both indoors & out) was hot real estate, so you really needed to keep an eye out to grab one before it's gone. Luckily, a fam was finishing up as we finished our ordering. Upon seating down, our name was called at the pick-up counter, so service was efficient. The vibe is chill, but fast-paced/hectic as well. Both the hubs & I ordered a two-thigh plate ~ which comes w/ 2 sides ($19.99/each). We opt'd for just the classic/original, no fancy smansy sauce it up..so we can truly taste the quality. I chose the pesto pasta salad & roasted lemon garlic potatoes for my sides & the hubs got the side salad & baked sweet potato. It was alot of food, for the price point..so it's fair (factoring in, we are dining at the Spectrum too). The food was fresh, chicken was moist & flavorful, and everything was cooked perfectly. The chicken was really juicy w/ a crispy exterior, and the sides complemented the meal well. I loved my pesto pasta salad. It reminded me of a mac salad (which I always get if given the chance), but w/ a pesto taste mixed in. Filling & refreshing. The potatoes were seasoned & grilled well. It had loads of flavor. I really liked my hub's baked sweet potato too. We halfsies the sides, so that we each could try everything. OMG..do yourself a favor and order extra TOUM (it's only like 0.75 cents extra)!!! That Lebanese garlic sauce is BOMB! I dipped it w/ literally EVERYTHING ~ from my pita bread to my chicken, and even my potatoes. YUMSSS.. All in all, great portions for the price & definitely worth a visit, esp. if you're craving fresh and healthy & in the area already. We'll be coming back again. RxFoodie recommend!!!

This place is located right inside the Irvine Spectrum Center, and if you love rotisserie chicken, I highly recommend checking it out! Since it's really close to Target within the Spectrum, it's best to just park on the Target side. I think it's been around for a while, but I only just tried it for the first time, and now I totally get why it's always so busy. They serve fire-grilled rotisserie chicken, and you can get it wrapped up in a wrap, tossed into a salad, or just buy the chicken by itself. To be honest, buying a whole chicken feels a bit pricey, but if you get it as a wrap or a salad, it's a really great value for a healthy, satisfying meal! It's the perfect spot for something healthy, delicious, and reasonably priced!!

Healthy, fast, and delicious. What more can you ask for. The portions are nice, and the flavor is great. The chicken is so tender and juicy, perfectly cooked and seasoned. They have some indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff are friendly and prepared the food quickly.

Located in the mall. Loved the portions and the quality of the food. Can get busy during lunch time. The food came out faster than expected given how busy they were. They have indoor and outdoor seating. halal.

Delicious taste, presentation and service. Really enjoyed their Cali Salad and the portion is generous. All the ingredients, especially the chicken was fresh!

--- Definitely not a duck - it's chicken, and the dizzy bird will leave you dizzy in the best way. I normally wouldn't stop at a place like this, but you've gotta try Dizzy Bird here at the Irvine Spectrum. Everything is fresh, from the chicken to the salads and the drinks, and it's quickly become one of my favorite spots out here. If you're at the Spectrum and craving something tasty and satisfying, hit this place up.

We've been to Dizzy Bird countless times and the food is always consistent. The rotisserie chicken is juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly every time. The Cali Salad with lemon dressing is a favorite. Friendly service and great food

I'm from Sacramento so the Irvine spectrum center is comparable to the fountains at Roseville or the Palladio in Folsom in the sac area. We ordered popcorn chicken, french fries and drinks (mainly for the kids) and to get a snack since we were hungry. Inside has a few tables, which there were one or two other customers inside dining. Inside the space was pretty messy. It looks like the workers did not have time to clean since there were crumbs and bits of trash. I'm glad we didn't dine in. For the food, since it's made to order, we waited just over 15 minutes for the fried foods. It came out piping hot, which we didn't really get to enjoy since by then, our table at din Tai Fung was ready. So we brought it with us. The chicken was really good. It was seasoned well and they even gave us a seasoning packet to add more flavor to the popcorn chicken. I'll go back if I'm in this area and want boba and popcorn chicken.

Although I appreciate all the questions, they got annoying after a while, especially when they gave several options for how much ice you wanted in the drink. They also have Pepsi, which I don't care for, but worse, they only had Pepsi Zero, which, frankly, is just gross tasting. So settled for root beer. When we finished ordering, the total for 2 people was $35! That was for one combo, an entree, and another drink. Then we sat and waited. And waited. In fact, we waited long enough to try a different table, as the first one was by the door and it was hot outside. So we tried a booth, and immediately plopped down on a bench that was way too low for the table. Back to the old table. While we were waiting, we weren't a fan of the music. I used Shazam and figured out it was a female K-pop group. I'm sure kids love it, but it's not my taste. Looking around, the place needs a remodel and a paint job. Chips are all over the walls and corners. It looked like someone tried to paint the walls, but the color didn't quite match. The drain for the soda machine needs a very deep cleaning. They do have a status screen that tells you when your order is ready, which is nice. Then the food. I ordered the 2-piece chicken combo. It didn't look anything like the pictures. The roll is a hamburger bun! I tried the chicken, and well, blech. I thought I would attempt to make a sandwich, but that was worse. Although the chicken was moist, the breading had more texture than taste, and the texture just wasn't good. The curly fries (à la Arby's style) were limp and not crunchy at all. The root beer was good, as I like the Stubborn brand, but the lid was so weird to drink from; it was hard not to spill on my shirt. I ate maybe 1/2 the order because I was starving, but threw the rest away.

We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

And we definitely felt the warmth in there. We also ordered some soda, which was just a soda machine with some lemonade dispensers on the side. The mango lemonade was horrendous and way out of balance. The "soda" was basically tasteless carbonation as if they forgot to refill the soda machine with the soda syrup. After 30 minutes, we noticed that they were fulfilling the big ticket online/delivery orders first. We were STILL the only people at the restaurant WITHOUT food. All of this would have been annoying but acceptable if the food was good. However, it was very unremarkable. The food was somehow salty but flavorless, despite the considerable amount of spice. The chicken was more oil than crunch.
