The website pictures look amazing. When we arrived the restaurant was smaller in person. Immediately, the host greeted us in a such a warm and welcoming way. The staff was so professional and the place is well managed. We ordered two sandwiches and were treated to some home made potato salad. It felt warm and inviting. We had a breakfast burger and a French dip sandwich. Unfortunately, the food was not as good as the service. The burger was dry and lacked anything fresh. There was very little seasoning, sauce, or freshness. I hate to say it, but the meat tasted frozen and old. My French Dip was the same. The meat tasted old and dry. The front of the house staff was so nice. They earned a five star rating. The kitchen needs updating. Let's use some fresh ingredients? The food lacks freshness and flavor.

This delicious burger is so good. It's like a western burger but better.

I was in the area and my party was craving American burgers. So we ended up here to this little joint. Place has a western vibe interior. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Servers are very attentive. Cozy place to eat and the food is very delicious. Check out what we all ordered.

Was on a mini road trip from San Diego to Anaheim for a concert wanted something quick but not fast food. Found this cute little gem in the cutest little town. Easy street parking on the main strip and cute ambiance. Service and quick and our servers were really nice. Food was delicious but a little pricey! Cute spot would recommend if you're passing through the area.

Pastrami burger for me, shrimp and farro salad for the wife -- both crushed it. The pastrami with the swiss and pickles is the real deal, and the rosemary fries almost stole the show (get those). Her salad was legit too, garlic shrimp with farro so it actually fills you up. Zero complaints. We'll be back.

A nice little American cuisine in old town Tustin. It looks like burgers are one of their signature items since they have a nice variety of them. Out of all of them, I chose the Wyatt Earp because it had Apple wood bacon, bbq sauce, onion ring and cheddar. Make sure to get it medium that way it's still juicy. You have to get fries if you are getting a burger. They have a good variety from sweet potato fries to regular fries and some with seasoning. I was recommended the Cajun Fries which always sounds good when you have that old bay spice. As it sounded, the burger was very tasty, and juicy. Had really nice smoked flavor from the bacon there. The fries were cooked just right bad it was crispy and tender in the middle. The place itself has a nice ambiance and they have outside seating with heaters as well.

Came out here several times and thought I wrote a review one of those times but guess nots. Can't believe it as this place Absolutely spectacular burgers. Their classic hamburger/cheeseburgers are just superb. Add the garlic fries cuz they're amazing. This past weekend we decided to try something different. Got the hot pastrami sandwich (toasted rye bread with decent amount of pastrami slices and pickles) and Antonio burger (angus patty with cilantro/jalepeno, pico, avocado, lettuce, and pepper jack cheese). The former was pretty standard. The latter I would pass on, just better on taco than a burger. Nevertheless pretty good burger in old town Tustin. Very cute western vibe. Would recommend checking this place out if you're looking for some good juicy burgers.

Came on a super busy night, waited for food for close to 40 mins to come out. Not a ton of seating is offered here but food was good, service was good and the place was clean.

We did some research - and decided to make the drive from Yorba Linda to have an early lunch on a rainy Sunday morning. We loved it. Great service, and the food was delicious. My wife had the Breakfast Burrito, and I had the Wyatt Earp Burger (great barbecue sauce). The price was reasonable. We enjoy trying new places with good food and a great atmosphere - and we love supporting local small businesses. Highly recommended!

Came to American Grub to for lunch today. Came with the family and my sister and her family. Service was good. Michael was our waiter and took very good care of us. I order a bacon cheeseburger which was perfect, hubby ordered a pastrami burger which he said barley had any pastrami, sister ordered a guilty burger which was made exactly as asked and was perfect, brother-in-law ordered a Nashville chicken sandwich and said he would've liked the chicken to be a bit thicker. We orderer garlic fries, garlic tots, rosemary fries, and regular fries with a side of ranch which was really yummy! And we ordered two kids mac n cheese with watermelon and fries. We also ordered a toffee cake dessert with ice cream and bread pudding dessert with ice cream delicious. Restaurant was somewhat busy but wait was not long we got seated fairly quickly.

Update on my review. I remembered the last time I was here the mushroom burger was amazing. Tonight I came here with my little nephews. We ordered a few burgers and we asked for medium and they came out well done, really dry. Burgers just tasted bland tonight. Kinda disappointed with our dinner. The garlic fries and tater tots were still a hit though.

After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS
