I'm always in the mood for dessert, so checked out trusty Yelp and discovered I was minutes away from this 5 star bakery. Taiyaki and Croffles made on the spot. Fresh pastries , friendly service, let's keep this mom and pop shop going. They are too far and few between. Oh, and did I mention their namesake "croissant?" Get a lot if you live far, refrigerate and toast with butter...voila! Can't get enough!

Following Google Map's directions, I discovered that this is within H Mart. Parking can be a bit of a challenge within this busy center; fortunately, I succeeded to find space convenient to the store's front. For my first croffle experience, I chose their Strawberry Croffle ($6.50). Initially, I'd intended to bring it home to share; however, it was explained to me that it's best within a relatively short period; therefore, wanting to experience it at its freshest (right off the waffle iron), I selfishly decided to find a seat in the neighboring eatery and enjoy my mid-afternoon treat right then and there. I loved the light texture of this warm croissant+waffle, generously topped with a delightfully thick-&-fluffy whipped cream, adorned with beautifully red, tasty strawberry slices (5-stars)! Oh, I think hubby would've so enjoyed this, too! Having their own comfortable seating area, separate from the noisy market would improve my dining experience. Service was appreciatively very pleasant, patient, and helpful.

So good & fresh! It takes a while for it to be made but the place is inside H Mart, so there's a ton to look at while you wait.

The croffle was ok. It looks better then it taste. As a pastry enthusiast I give this endeavor 3 stars for its attempt. Service is friendly but slow. This establishment is located within H mart and is good stop if your there but don't honor of your way if you're not.

The croffle here are super good. I could eat 10 of them. The cream is very light and the croffle is crunchy. It's a light and not too sweet snack. 1 for $5.75 3 for $15.75 6 for $30.75

These pastries are delicious! BUT I found it rather odd that they were served COLD to us. Being skeptical about how they should taste, I did a little digging through reviews here and it sound like they were supposed to be served warm. Ours had definitely been sitting out for awhile... I'm just disappointed we weren't server the correct experience; I can't imagine how insanely delicious they must taste fresh off the waffle maker. The location was empty, we were the only costumers so I don't see why they couldn't have made us some fresh ones, or at least reheated them. Smh. On a positive note, of the two croffles we enjoyed the Carmel one best!

Boyf and I came here for dessert after dinner. Parking is a bit hectic for a Saturday night. This place is located inside of H-Mart. We got 3- a strawberry, blueberry, and tiramisu croffle. They were delicious! So warm, flakey, and buttery. Definitely on the lighter side and it was perfect.

Was searching on Yelp for any new dessert places and came across Maison De Croissant, located inside of H Mart. Turn quickly to the right once you walk in and you'll immediately be greeted by the displays of desserts and baked goods. Wanted to grab a muffin, but the price was a bit hefty at $4-5 per muffin, so I opted for the croffle instead. Each croffle is advertised as freshly made with a variety of flavors that you can choose from. I chose the caramel, which came with cream, caramel drizzle, and a Biscoff cookie on top. The lady helping me immediately turned on the machine after I ordered, which took awhile to warm up. Even though they had some already made on top of the machine, she made fresh ones for me and the customer after me. Wow, I have to say that I really rented the dessert. It was about $5-6, which wasn't bad at all. The outside was crispy but it the inside was chewy and not too sweet. Eating each warm bite alongside the coldness of the cream provided a great contrast. Was a bit sad that the croffle was finished in a few bites. Highly recommend checking this place out if you love desserts, especially waffles and croissants. They also serve drinks and macarons if you want to grab other items!

Such a cute little cage hidden inside H Mart! Jenny helped me out today and she was so incredible and sweet. The strawberry croffle was incredible! The texture outside was crunchy, sweet, and buttery. Definitely recommend!

Fresh and delicious! After eating at BCD Tofu nearby I needed something sweet. A quick Yelp search said this was the best rated dessert nearby so I decided on the tiramisu croffle. She made it fresh and it was the perfect dessert to finish the night, highly recommend for the yummy dessert and great service!

Maison de Croissant is located inside of the Hmart and is a small bakery that specializes in their croffles. Parking can get difficult especially on the weekends. Not too impressed by the croffles. It was not warmed up and tasted a little stale- as if it was left out for a day. The red bean topping we got was alright but there was just a stick of butter on top that was rock hard. Not appetizing at all to have to break apart and eat a stick of butter. Our favorite was the blueberry croffle which the cream's consistency was light and airy and it reminded me of a cream cheese/yogurt. I think that if the croffles were fresh and hot that this would've lived up to our expectations but we have definitely had better. Will probably stick to another dessert place if we are in the area.

    $6.25 Blueberry Croffle
    Catherine B.

There's no way this place is rated so highly It's hilarious how their entire bakery is basically straight up packaging Costco bakery items and upselling it for outrageous prices. The croffles are also way too expensive - $6.25 for each one after tax. For that price, they better be making the croffles fresh but nope - if you're unlucky, you'll get a crusty pre-made one that's been sitting with the flies for who knows how long. Get your bread next door at 85C and make your croffles at home.

The croffles were good, but not a wow, so good I have to come back type of an experience. The coffee was not as good as I expected m. Starbucks coffee is better. I'm glad I checked that out due to the hype ratings I saw on Yelp, which was the main factor that brought me there.

This location is much closer to home, so I visited one afternoon when craving their cookies. The interior is modern, classy-bougie, with 4 tables and a large cushy chair. I ordered two cookies, the chocolate chip walnut and peanut butter chocolate, along with an iced horchata latte. I sat at one of the tables, opened the box my cookies were presented in, and found myself in cookie ecstasy. The cookies are fat mountains of deliciousness. Slightly crisp outside and soft inside (note: even softer if taken home and warmed up). The chocolate chip was crammed full of chips and the walnuts were in tiny bits to keep the cookie's texture soft. The chocolate cookie was also enormous and had an abundance of peanut butter chips. Both were superb. The horchata latte had just enough ice to keep it cold. It had a bold flavor of cinnamon which I loved. Staff here were friendly, efficient, and speedy. I like the vibe of this place but like their cookies even more.

Service - after we ordered at the counter our food was delivered to the table which are all located outside on a well-shaded patio. We always split our dishes - my wife and I can't eat an entire plate of food. It's not "table service" - they don't come back and check you or help with water or drinks, etc. Whatever you want you must return to the counter. But service at the counter is very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is an outdoor cafe....noisy neighbors, wind when it blows, dogs, all the regular stuff - good seating and umbrellas with some areas naturally shaded...lots of tables relative to the size of the shop. Very friendly staff. Why do my reviews get over 1,000 views every time we visit a new place? We don't know but it seems consistent. We feature very critical reviews - we rate high but include serious critiques. Maybe that's it.

As for the pastries/desserts, the custard pudding cup deserves more love! The rose flavor is definitely for people who truly enjoy rose desserts. The strawberry was the only one that did not fully match my expectations from a high end bakery. The tiramisu was decent, more cream-forward and lighter on the coffee flavor than I expected. Overall, these pastries are definitely on the sweeter, cream-based side, and honestly, that is exactly what made them so good to me. I do not want desserts to be less sweet, I want them to feel indulgent and perfect, and these did. I will absolutely keep going back, especially for the lavender, chocolate, and pistachio pastries.
