If you're anywhere near Orange, Friendly Donuts is the kind of spot that goes way beyond your typical donut shop especially when it comes to variety. The range here is honestly what sets it apart. You've got all the classics like glazed, chocolate bars, old-fashioned, and filled donuts, but they take it further with creative options like mochi donuts, "dossants" (a croissant-donut hybrid), and specialty flavors like crème brûlée, tiramisu, and even Dubai chocolate-inspired creations. What really stands out is how inclusive the menu is. They offer a surprisingly large selection of vegan donuts--not just one or two options, but a full lineup that still delivers on flavor and texture. Whether you have dietary restrictions or just want to mix things up, you won't feel limited here. On top of that, they do custom orders, which makes it a great go-to for parties, events, or just building your perfect box. Everything feels fresh, thoughtful, and made with care. Add in friendly, welcoming service and consistently solid quality across the board, and this is one of those places that keeps you coming back--because there's always something new (and really good) to try.

An excellent little donut shop in OC. I've been here a few times already, and it's always a pleasant experience. The many and unique donuts to choose from, breakfast croissants and sandwiches, coffees, a variety of beverages, and more! They offer some great seasonal and monthly special items. Always looking forward to what they create. They also have some classic donuts as well if that's your thing. One of my recent orders was the turkey cold croissant sandwich with avocado, cheese, and the works. It was tasty and filling. A few more recent favorites are the glazed ube and blueberry donuts, breakfast and cold croissant sandwiches, Green Thai Tea, and many more I can't remember. Browsing the tasty-looking treats is also an enjoyment. They also offer a variety of gluten-friendly and vegan donuts. Nice to know they are aware of dietary needs. The prices reflect some of the premium offerings, but it's definitely a nice treat once in a while. The staff and service have been friendly and efficient, getting customers through quickly. Once inside, the fun decor and the mouthwatering display of goodies enhance the experience. I'm looking forward to visiting again when the sweet cravings hit.

Very good donuts, very nicely decorated, it seems like they're on social media a lot lately. Service was nice, but I do want to mention that we purchased five donuts and it seems like he wanted us to buy even more. They were delicious, but A little bit more expensive than the average donut place. I try to visit there, as I'm driving down Santiago Canyon Road. I may go back next time and give feedback on their coffee.

This place is home. Alan, Mimi, bless you both. Came here after 48 hours in hospital while my wife was in labor -- came to give the nurses some mochi donuts. 12 hours later, my daughter was born. Some credited the doctors, most credited my wife, but i credit friendlys!!! Came back the next day and got the nurses even more donuts.. This place is just the best - vegan friendly and truly next level Alan i appreciate you brother!!

AMAZED AND AMAZING!!! First Timer (03.23.2026) at this place and I was very IMPRESSED!!! Of course, twas via social media that we heard of this place. Trying it out was right out of the park and I am glad we did. Location on Chapman has a uniqueness to it. Building has a happy feel to it, very well maintained and has ample parking. Walking into a field of donuts that looked all delicious was pretty awesome. This place has a huge selection of donuts and they were so colorful. In addition to this, there's a drink (coffee and blended) and food (breakfast croissants, bagels and sandwiches). selection. Super fast and friendly service from Aryll (I believe that was his name) which I appreciate. I loved loved loved the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Bagel. It was so good. I also had the Vietnamese coffee, which I honestly thought was just ok but that's cool (now I know). Of course, had to get a few donuts for later. Thank you so much Friendly Donuts, the experience was a pleasant one and I intend to be a returning guest. Keep up the great work with this place. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place if you are in the area. I have no doubt it WILL NOT disappoint.

Amazing donuts, amazing staff (shout out to Alex) and unlike any other donut shop you will ever visit.

Visited Friendly Donuts for the first time a couple weekends ago and so glad I did! This is the cutest shop and they really have quite the assortment of donuts. Grabbed my go-to (maple bar), tiger tail for my husband (huge donut btw), and we asked the gentleman helping us what other donuts he recommends and he recommended the French creme donut. Definitely would not have been my first choice since the amount of creme in that bad boy was intimidating, but it ended up being delightful! Also, since it was our first time he threw in a glazed donut for free! Such a nice gesture! I can't wait to go back and try their dossants and coffee! See ya soon Friendly Donuts!

Love coming here for their monthly specials. The customer service is also always friendly and amazing. Their donuts are soft fluffy and so creative! I also tried their new drinks - favorite was the coco puffs coffee

I mean I get it. It's trendy. The quality of the bacon is not great. Referring to the maple bacon donut. Bacon is of the cheapest quality. The white chocolate guava is too sweet with little to no flavor of guava in their mochi donut. I went with expectations of better flavors and quality but came back home with 2 out of five selections that I didn't eat or enjoy. Service is good plenty of help at 7am

    Any seed oils used?

    Sorry I didn't ask. I don't know but they're really good. It's vegan

Do the vegan donuts have soy in them?

Hi Mary, we do have soy in our products. Let us know if any other allergies we should be aware of ! Thanks !

Do they have the viral spiral crossiants here?

They did when I went in May, but they sell out quickly. I think you can always call and ask when the next batch will be ready.

What's the best time of day to come to get the freshest donuts?

What kind of sugar & salt is used in the vegan donuts?

Are the mochi donuts gluten free & vegan?

Vegan, but contain wheat. So not gluten-free

    Are the donuts gluten free?

    No. They contain wheat

Do you guys have donuts that are both gluten and vegan?

they said they have them on the weekends!!

Do they have a nutrition chart?

I don't believe I have seen one. I'm going to say no but you could always call and ask. They are very very friendly there!

They have a lot of vegan options!

    What are their busy hours?

24 hrs it has it posted.

    $25

How much are the mochi donuts?

    $2.50 each or $28 for a dozen

Are there any vegan donuts that also have no vanilla. I'm also allergic to vanilla 😩?

I'm not sure but they're super nice, they could maybe accommodate that for you. Worth a shot to call and ask.

How much are the mochi donuts? I am looking for a few dozen for a drive thru bday party.

    About $28.

Are you guys open on Christmas?

We are open 24 hours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we are open till 3PM.

Have they added any vegan donuts to the menu?

They just recently put up a sign saying "Vegan donuts". So yes, I believe they do.

Do you carry any gluten free donuts?

I called them and they said they don't at the moment. But they are working on a recipe!

    What is ube?

Ube is a purple yam -- It has a smooth texture and a mild, sweet flavor that has been compared to white chocolate or a cross between vanilla and pistachio. That beautiful purple color is its natural color.

Even Harvard educated JD Vance, the current VP of The USA, struggled to talk to the staff, identify 12 donuts he liked out of the countless options, and stand normally at a Holt's Sweet Shop in Georgia. Fortunately for all of us on the west coast, DK's has made some improvements on the original indoor donut shop concept: First major improvement DK's made is to delete the indoor space. No one can embarrass themselves inside a donut shop with no interior. Second improvement DK's made: a bell by the order window can be used to alert the staff in the shop. No DK's customer ever has to order anything until they are utterly ready. The days of pointing at the donuts behind the glass, making meaningless small talk to stall, or asking the staff to just pick donuts out are over Last improvement DK's made to the donut model: the staff is kept to a minimum in general, and the small order window keeps the interactions one to one. One of best and brightest among us seemed to be thrown off by the presence of multiple staff at that Georgia donut shop. At DK's only one face on either side of the small window, please. All of the above improvements saved me from the horrific fate the VP endured. The lack of an indoor space kept me out of DK's, the order bell/ringer gave me time to think, and once I rang the bell, I only had to pay attention to one staff member. I successfully ordered a chocolate bar without incident. The staff member slid the donut out of the window in a nice, waxy bag. I left that DK's without doing or saying anything so laughably foolish that it went viral or became a subreddit. Thank you DK's for saving us all from ourselves with your considerate business layout & tasty donuts.

We came on a Sunday afternoon and I was immediately drawn to their case of yummy and aesthetically pleasing looking donuts. I ended up going with the "Bumbleberry Glazed" ($5.50) which is a combination of blueberry, blackberry and raspberry glaze atop of their 40 hour fermented sourdough yeast donut. Their donuts are fried to order so mine arrived perfectly warm and is definitely one of the best yeast donuts I've ever had. Service is friendly, and the shop is clean with ample amount of indoor and some outdoor seating so you can enjoy your donut right then and there. I can't wait to come back to try more of their other flavors!

A single donut for $5.50 and half a dozen for $34 is kind of wild. At those prices, my expectations shot way up. One thing I will give them--the donuts are fried to order, which is a nice touch because you know they're fresh. We ordered the Meyer lemon glazed, strawberry glazed, and the bumble berry. After ordering, we waited about 5-10 minutes, which isn't terrible, but for almost $18 for three donuts, I was definitely questioning if it would be worth it. Unfortunately... I don't think it was. The texture of the donuts was amazing--super soft, pillowy, and honestly really enjoyable to eat. The base donut itself had great flavor too. But the actual fruit flavors? That's where it fell flat. None of them were very strong, and after a few bites they all started to taste the same. The biggest disappointment for me was the lemon donut. Lemon is usually such a bold, bright flavor, so I thought it would be an easy favorite. Instead, it was one of those "smells like lemon but tastes like nothing" situations, which was honestly frustrating. If I had to rank them: strawberry was the best, then bumble berry, then lemon--but overall, none of them really stood out enough to justify the price. I really wanted to love this place given all the hype, but for me, it's just too expensive to risk being underwhelmed. I probably wouldn't come back.
