Friday night got a whole lot friendlier after stopping by Friendly Donuts for a box of goodies. Got excited pulling into the parking lot because how else are you supposed to feel when about to indulge in some donuts. Storefront is super cute with fun art and color schemes. Immediately ate with my eyes when I saw the variety of sweet treats hosted across the shelves. Went for a glazed old fashioned and glazed cruller. Loved both. Pricing is all reasonable considering the quality and freshness. Caleb was amazing and made an already enjoyable experience even better. Pro tip: come towards the end of the day and they may throw in a few extra goodies on the house. Really happy Friendly Donuts is only 13 mins from home but that can also be dangerous. Will absolutely be back. read more

Honestly, I love this place! My absolute favorite is the Flan Donut and their custard-filled donuts -- they're delicious. The staff was super nice and welcoming. The employee kept checking in and reminding me that if I needed anything, just let her know. That kind of kindness really makes a difference! The shop itself is really cute and cozy -- honestly a great spot to take your S/O on a little date. The ambience is bright, inviting, and feels so welcoming. Also, big bonus: they stay open until 12:00 AM, which is perfect for late-night cravings! read more

Tried a few donuts here and overall it was a really good experience! The Dubai chocolate donut was one of my favorites (9/10). The filling was great and the ratio of kataifi, pistachio, and chocolate was perfect. The bear claw, lemon glazed old fashioned and cookies & cream mochi donut were decent but nothing too special for me (all 6/10). The crème brûlée cronut was 7.5/10. The custard filling inside was delicious, but the crystallized sugar on the outside was a little too hard and slightly over-bitter for my liking. The cream-filled donut was DELICIOUS (10/10). The cream was not too sweet and the texture was amazing. The employee said it was their best seller and I totally believe it. Would highly recommend this place! read more

AMAZED AND AMAZING!!! First Timer (03.23.2026) at this place and I was very IMPRESSED!!! Of course, twas via social media that we heard of this place. Trying it out was right out of the park and I am glad we did. Location on Chapman has a uniqueness to it. Building has a happy feel to it, very well maintained and has ample parking. Walking into a field of donuts that looked all delicious was pretty awesome. This place has a huge selection of donuts and they were so colorful. In addition to this, there's a drink (coffee and blended) and food (breakfast croissants, bagels and sandwiches). selection. Super fast and friendly service from Aryll (I believe that was his name) which I appreciate. I loved loved loved the Sausage, Egg and Cheese Bagel. It was so good. I also had the Vietnamese coffee, which I honestly thought was just ok but that's cool (now I know). Of course, had to get a few donuts for later. Thank you so much Friendly Donuts, the experience was a pleasant one and I intend to be a returning guest. Keep up the great work with this place. I mean I get it. It's trendy. The quality of the bacon is not great. Referring to the maple bacon donut. Bacon is of the cheapest quality. The white chocolate guava is too sweet with little to no flavor of guava in their mochi donut. I went with expectations of better flavors and quality but came back home with 2 out of five selections that I didn't eat or enjoy. Service is good plenty of help at 7am read more

It was National Donut Day, and we were hooked up at work. Truth-be-told, I am not into glazed donuts -- period. CAKE is where it is at for my donut palate. PLAIN CAKE w/SPRINKLES: -- more low oil baked style taste -- not greasy or oily -- standard or slightly smaller than standard size -- decent taste -- not worth the Cals here as flavor lacking -- drier, not moist -- not soft and ideal texture RATING = C- There were glazed donuts, but I vetoed since the cake donut was already this subpar. read more

Love this spot! The donuts at Friendly Donuts are super tasty, and massive! They have seasonal donuts, they come up with fun new flavors, and everything I've tried so far has been amazing. Just make sure to go early because the seasonal ones are limited each day and only around for a short time. Their drink menu is solid too. I'm a big fan of the einspänner, it's the first time I ever tried one and i'm hooked. The inside is really cute too, lots of d donut merch and there's plenty of seating, and parking is super easy. read more

Had this place bookmarked for a while and finally got to try it after hiking in the area on Saturday. This place has a small private lot which Is a plus. There was also a photo ops area on the left side of the store when you walk in. There was a good selection of donuts and some seasonal flavors as well. Service was good as I was acknowledged as soon as I walked in. My friend wanted to try an apricot donut but that wasn't in season. I ended up trying the earl grey milk tea donut. To my surprise it wasn't too sweet or overwhelming which I liked! Wanted to try others but nothing really stood out or they all looked super sweet. I'd probably not go out of my way to come here unless there was a specific flavor that I really want to try or get. read more

Friendly Donuts is one of my favorite casual donut shops. It looks more cute compared to your average pink boxed donut shop though. They've got all the classic flavors you'd find at other donut shops, but they also come up with cool new flavors like the Hibiscus Lemonade that I tried recently. My personal favorite item here is the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant. It's seriously the best thing here and if you toast it at home, it's even better. The people who work there are super chill and friendly. Even when there is a line out the door, they get everyone through really fast. I always go in the morning so the donuts are always fresh, but I'm not sure what it's like later in the day. Parking can be limited, but if you go early, you should be okay. They take credit cards with no minimum charge. Overall, Friendly Donuts is a must-try if you're into great donuts and good vibes. read more

The employees inside were ready to answer any questions and worked diligently to get orders processed. There are a handful of outdoor tables if you want to enjoy your treats there, but be warned that it can get busy in the morning. After one visit here it's easy to understand why. What really sets them apart is their willingness to get creative. They have the classics, but the adventurous specialty donuts are where the magic happens. I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish. Best of all, it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. Going back for this one soon! If coconut is not your thing, but you enjoy chocolate and whip cream I recommend the whipped cream stuffed chocolate Long John. The Pumpkin Spice Cake was $2.79 for a donut that seemed about half the size they used to be, and the flavor was overwhelmingly artificial. The Blueberry Glazed was no better, it tasted so synthetic. Krispy Kreme, you should be ashamed of what you're putting out as a premium-priced product. Smaller portions, higher prices, and flavors that taste increasingly manufactured and chemical is not an improvement in any conceivable way. At this point, these don't taste like freshly made donuts. They taste like a deep-fried loaf of artificially flavored crap dressed up with seasonal marketing.

I used to live up in Cowan heights and would pass Friendly donuts up and down the hill several times a day. Unfortunately for me, fortunately for them I would stop by a few times a weeks d get my fix! They are simply the best donuts in Orange County after I moved about 6 years ago I don't frequent here as much because I simply don't go by here. Tonight I was in a desperate frenzy for a Apple Fritter. I called ahead of time because I didn't want to drive all the way across town Incase they were out. The kid who answers the phone was really friendly, hence friendly donuts and was have a great tome at work. I asked him if he had any apple fritters and if he could put one on hold for me he immediately said yes what is your name. I drove around town to pick up my apple fritter I was anxiously waiting for and when I got there there were three or four guys working there and I have never met a friendlier group of guys. They were so funny I didn't even want to leave . I ended up not only getting the apple fritter but a sugar twist and a cinnamon roll too. Located at the corner of Hewes and Chapman, Friendly Donuts is one of those mom-and-pop places that are liberally sprinkled through the OC. Everything about this spot is just lovely. Lots of parking, spotless shop and, as advertised, a friendly staff. Note: I would bring cash since there is a surcharge for credit purchases. If you are hanging out at home in your jammies and don't want to get in the car for your sugary sweet donut fix, then you can order through Grubhub. Overall the donuts were just OK. I got three mochi donuts and a regular donut for comparison. They also have cronuts, but I've never been a fan of those. The regular donut was just your basic donut, and if someone brought a box of them to work I wouldn't say no. The mochi donuts were just... meh! I can't say that I would partake of those again. Well Friendly Donuts is the best donuts in town I've seen cops from other cities and stop and get there donuts and coffee. When i went in the afternoon and when I ask them how old was there coffee? they said 2 hours old but they said we can make you a new pot of coffee for me I was really happy with my fresh coffee and donuts. They open 24 hours and they have a spot for day old donuts there from yesterday and there half price and they are still tasty too. The donut shop is own my a Asian Family they have 3 sons from 10-18 help there parents at the shop and they love working there and when I see kids helping there parents I always want to come back to that shop. When I get a donut they sometimes always give you free donuts. There always clean with there tables and cream for your coffee is cold. The donuts prices are from 75 cent - $1.75. Called in last night ask if they have any they said only a little left but I recommend you reserving some so I did! when I got there they were only 4 left thank god I called in!!! My wife and I hadn't eaten a donut in months. It was late Saturday afternoon and we suddenly had a yen for one. I went on google to find a place that would be open on Saturday evening and had good reviews. I actually drove 15 miles to this place. They didn't have many cake donuts left to choose from so I just selected a dozen variety, bear claws, a couple of cake, glaze, only one maple bar left, a couple of the cream filled canoles. I must say, they were all terrible. On top of that, I was charged .75 for using a credit card. My total bill was $19.75. I could have gotten better tasting donuts down the street from our house (if there were open) for around $5-6 a dozen. Had an ube donut with blueberry glaze for $1.65 (what a rip off). The blueberry on the donut was all shriveled up and looked like it was a week old, so I threw it away because I didn't want to get sick. The donut also had red specks in it??? The donut didn't taste like ube at all, it just tasted like a regular plain cake donut. The donut itself was okay, but to me it just looks like they put purple food coloring in the dough to make it purple and over charge you for it. You're better off just ordering a plain donut with blueberry glaze. I thought the ube donut from DK's in Tustin was better, but neither one of them tasted like ube. Wow, I am truly impressed by this donut shop! The variety of flavors here made it so hard to decide which one I wanted to try. Amazing experience! We were looking for donuts last night around 10pm. I looked on yelp for 24 hour donut shops in my area and this gem came up! From the outside this place looks like your average donut shop but once we got in we saw the amazing selection.
