Visited Friendly Donuts for the first time a couple weekends ago and so glad I did! This is the cutest shop and they really have quite the assortment of donuts. Grabbed my go-to (maple bar), tiger tail for my husband (huge donut btw), and we asked the gentleman helping us what other donuts he recommends and he recommended the French creme donut. Definitely would not have been my first choice since the amount of creme in that bad boy was intimidating, but it ended up being delightful! We were helped by Natalie, who was incredibly sweet and patient with my boyfriend and me. Friendly Donuts 100% lives up to its name and was such an unexpectedly pleasant visit! Every employee was friendly and attentive from the moment I stepped in to the moment I went out. One of them was an actual ray of sunshine and told me to "just come back again" when I realized their Apple Pay didn't give an option to tip (which was well-deserved!!). In addition to the service, they have a wide variety of donuts and baked goods including vegan donuts, mochi donuts, and ham and cheese croissants! There were also specialty flavors like ube and pistachio, so there's definitely something for everyone. Prices are reasonable, and I walked away with an ube donut, a dozen donut holes, and a ham and cheese croissant for under $10. I was told that that they'll have banana matcha next month (April 2026), so I'll have to make good with my "tip" and come back again very soon! read more

Friendly Donuts is one of my favorite casual donut shops. It looks more cute compared to your average pink boxed donut shop though. They've got all the classic flavors you'd find at other donut shops, but they also come up with cool new flavors like the Hibiscus Lemonade that I tried recently. My personal favorite item here is the jalapeno ham and cheese croissant. It's seriously the best thing here and if you toast it at home, it's even better. The people who work there are super chill and friendly. Even when there is a line out the door, they get everyone through really fast. I always go in the morning so the donuts are always fresh, but I'm not sure what it's like later in the day. Parking can be limited, but if you go early, you should be okay. They take credit cards with no minimum charge. Overall, Friendly Donuts is a must-try if you're into great donuts and good vibes. read more

Friendly Donuts on Chapman is basically Disneyland for donuts except cheaper, no lines, and nobody's judging you for eating six churros before 9 AM. Walked in for 'just one donut' and somehow left with a box big enough to qualify as carry-on luggage. Pretty sure the glazed donut winked at me. The staff? Suspiciously nice. Like, FBI-level nice. They hand you a maple bar with so much warmth you start wondering if they secretly adopted you. Open late too, which is perfect because nothing says 'life together' like housing a dozen donuts in your car at 1:37 AM. Final review: My diet is gone, my pants are angry, but my soul is happy. Ube is a purple yam -- It has a smooth texture and a mild, sweet flavor that has been compared to white chocolate or a cross between vanilla and pistachio. That beautiful purple color is its natural color.

The good Top notch ingredients = less guilty desserts…read moreGood selection of keto goods Good service The not so good Price and size No chairs or tables or coffee Overall a great place for desserts. Their ingredients are top notch, like using protein and fiber-containing almond flour; also a healthier fat like ghee instead of butter (cheap bakeries including store bought use industrialized seed oils). As a sweetener they use allulose - a natural (but pricey) sweetener that is found in fruits but tastes like regular sugar, unlike the semi bitter stevia. I'm glad they don't use erythritol - a popular sweetener which has been linked to blood clots. They also use xylitol which, when isolated, prevents tooth decay - but is dangerous to dogs. For humans, results in far less carbs than regular inexpensive bleached white flour baked goods which when added with table sugar gives a massive sugar spike. Not good for people with insulin resistance (which includes many older adults). It's a small space but it smelled great when I was in there as they were baking. It would've been great had they sold good coffee and a place to sit but that would probably raise their prices even more. Because of the expensive ingredients, don't expect a lot of their goodness for the price. The carrot cake slice was probably half of the size in another regular bakery, but it was delicious. Note that because of the crushed almond, the texture is somewhat more grainy than a white flour based carrot cake. Same with the $9 Tres Lechces cake slice. But in both cases, the taste was good and I felt better eating them because the calorie count, as well as carb load was much, much less. I was shocked to see that. I waited in line with maybe like two people in front of me and guess what they asked of Pliny was still available. The guy working said to the people in front of me that they sold out. It was my turn I asked if they had it and the guy said that they had a line since 3pm and that they sold out of the keg. We ended up getting two beers since we went anyways but that's when things didn't add up. He kept telling all the other people that started to show up the same thing. These are reasons why it didn't add up 1) empty seats inside but had a line since 3pm and beer was released at 4pm 2) I don't think the people going for younger would just order one beer and not try other RR beers? 3) only one guy working beer counter and having to clean the tables and make sandwiches? 4) 12 oz pours of beer and keg with about 1984 oz would make it 166 beers. No way they sold 166 beers in an hour with one person working the bar and shop empty in an hour. They could have posted on their instagram or socials that they sold out but failed to do so. I'm sure a lot of people all night were disappointed to see that they didn't have it or post anything about it.

I used to live up in Cowan heights and would pass Friendly donuts up and down the hill several times a day. Unfortunately for me, fortunately for them I would stop by a few times a weeks d get my fix! They are simply the best donuts in Orange County after I moved about 6 years ago I don't frequent here as much because I simply don't go by here. Tonight I was in a desperate frenzy for a Apple Fritter. I called ahead of time because I didn't want to drive all the way across town Incase they were out. The kid who answers the phone was really friendly, hence friendly donuts and was have a great tome at work. I asked him if he had any apple fritters and if he could put one on hold for me he immediately said yes what is your name. I drove around town to pick up my apple fritter I was anxiously waiting for and when I got there there were three or four guys working there and I have never met a friendlier group of guys. They were so funny I didn't even want to leave . I ended up not only getting the apple fritter but a sugar twist and a cinnamon roll too. I feel compelled to share my experience after receiving extremely poor service last Friday. The employee with dark hair and a septum piercing exhibited unprofessional behavior during my visit. I ordered a donut and an iced coffee, specifically requesting a little less foam, but instead of acknowledging my request, she simply stared at me and walked away. When I paid my total of $7.50 with an $8 bill, she placed my donut down without returning my change. When I politely asked for my change, she claimed it was set down on the counter, but I found nothing there. Her response felt accusatory, suggesting I was trying to take advantage of the situation. She then asked me what I had given her, raising her voice and questioning whether it was a $10 or $20 bill, all while displaying an aggressive demeanor. It was unsettling to witness such hostility over a routine transaction. I even asked if everything was okay, sensing something was off, but she responded by questioning if I was "good." Overall, I have never encountered such a lack of professionalism and hostility in a service setting, and it significantly detracted from my experience. Mochi and donuts combined? Oh, it should be a match made in heaven, but not so much for me. Located at the corner of Hewes and Chapman, Friendly Donuts is one of those mom-and-pop places that are liberally sprinkled through the OC. Everything about this spot is just lovely. Lots of parking, spotless shop and, as advertised, a friendly staff. Note: I would bring cash since there is a surcharge for credit purchases. If you are hanging out at home in your jammies and don't want to get in the car for your sugary sweet donut fix, then you can order through Grubhub. Overall the donuts were just OK. I got three mochi donuts and a regular donut for comparison. They also have cronuts, but I've never been a fan of those. The regular donut was just your basic donut, and if someone brought a box of them to work I wouldn't say no. The mochi donuts were just... meh! I can't say that I would partake of those again. Well Friendly Donuts is the best donuts in town I've seen cops from other cities and stop and get there donuts and coffee. When i went in the afternoon and when I ask them how old was there coffee? they said 2 hours old but they said we can make you a new pot of coffee for me I was really happy with my fresh coffee and donuts. They open 24 hours and they have a spot for day old donuts there from yesterday and there half price and they are still tasty too. The donut shop is own my a Asian Family they have 3 sons from 10-18 help there parents at the shop and they love working there and when I see kids helping there parents I always want to come back to that shop. When I get a donut they sometimes always give you free donuts. There always clean with there tables and cream for your coffee is cold. The donuts prices are from 75 cent - $1.75. My wife and I hadn't eaten a donut in months. It was late Saturday afternoon and we suddenly had a yen for one. I went on google to find a place that would be open on Saturday evening and had good reviews. I actually drove 15 miles to this place. They didn't have many cake donuts left to choose from so I just selected a dozen variety, bear claws, a couple of cake, glaze, only one maple bar left, a couple of the cream filled canoles. I must say, they were all terrible. On top of that, I was charged .75 for using a credit card. My total bill was $19.75. I could have gotten better tasting donuts down the street from our house (if there were open) for around $5-6 a dozen. We happened to meet Allen/Alan(?) during our first visit there and he treated my daughter like a VIP. He told her that they could work together to make the perfect donuts for her friends, even offering to let her submit drawings of what she had in mind. So she did just that. By far my favorite donut place! They are open 24/7 and I can here late at night with my boyfriend and the outside area threw me off because it looked a little sketchy but once we went in we were so surprised by the amount of assortment they had regarding donuts and desserts. They had an unbelievable amount of flavors as well as mochi donuts, macaroons and cronuts. The male who helped us with our order was one of the friendliest guys I've ever met. He recommended us customers favorites, his favorites and didn't hesitate to provide us with anything we needed. After we paid we saw that he gave us another 2 free donuts. Had an ube donut with blueberry glaze for $1.65 (what a rip off). The blueberry on the donut was all shriveled up and looked like it was a week old, so I threw it away because I didn't want to get sick. The donut also had red specks in it??? The donut didn't taste like ube at all, it just tasted like a regular plain cake donut. The donut itself was okay, but to me it just looks like they put purple food coloring in the dough to make it purple and over charge you for it. You're better off just ordering a plain donut with blueberry glaze. I thought the ube donut from DK's in Tustin was better, but neither one of them tasted like ube. Wow, I am truly impressed by this donut shop! The variety of flavors here made it so hard to decide which one I wanted to try. This time, I chose the Ube Crossiant Wheel and Banana pudding, but I will definitely be coming back to try their other flavors as well as their mochinuts. Biting into both of these donuts felt like a party in my mouth. The crossiant wheel had the perfect amount of crisp, filling, and sweetness. The banana pudding was so fluffy and creamy. Overall, this donut shop deserves more hype and tops other donut shops I've been to and I have no complaints. Ohmygosh!!!!!! BEST CRONUTS aka DOSSANTS YOU CAN EVER GET AT THIS DONUT SHOP!!!!!! They make 2 batches everyday one in the morning and one in the evening I went during the evening they just told me they just made a batch of there dossants! It's suepr cheap $3.25 for a piece! it was flaky warm it was just amazing it melted in my mouth!!! They only had like 10 left but while eating in there dining room 4 more people came in about those dossants aka cronuts!! They are amazing!! Had to try there "Ube donuts" and I do have a taste of Ube. People that posting saying about they can't taste the Ube ?! Wtf is wrong with you. Obviously they don't know what Ube taste like. The taste of Ube is a light flavor not a heavy flavor. I can definitely taste it in the glaze and the plain one ! And awesome fast customer service keep up the good work! Friendly Donuts are the best donuts In OC. $1.50 is a reasonable price ! Some people complain about the pricing but I see you with a $600 wallet. Amazing experience! We were looking for donuts last night around 10pm. I looked on yelp for 24 hour donut shops in my area and this gem came up! From the outside this place looks like your average donut shop but once we got in we saw the amazing selection. My boyfriend got a maple bear claw and a peanut butter and jelly dossant which they made it to order specially for him. I got the strawberry vanilla dossant it was to die for! I'm so use to the dozen deals I donut places that every time I'm at a donut shop I feel obligated to get about a dozen. Next thing you know I'm racking up 27 bucks worth of donuts. Ah wells thug life. The service was average. The dude wasn't really enthusiastic but it was pretty late and I guess he was getting aggravated with all the donuts I was picking up loll. Ok so I've going to this place for about four months now because I'm working in Silverado Canyon....There donuts are excellent! It's hard to pick one favorite but I think the Blueberry Cake Donut is my favorite! I live in Glendora and live very close to donut man....I must say I like Friendly Donuts better than the Donut Man! I tried the Girl Scout inspired Samoa donut, and it absolutely delivered. A soft, pillowy donut with a rich chocolate-coated bottom, topped with a generous layer of caramel and coconut. The flavors were balanced deliciously. The chocolate added depth, the caramel brought just enough buttery sweetness, and the coconut gave it texture and a slightly nutty finish.
