They also have a small menu of entrees for those who want something different. I did order the chicken and beef steak kabob combo from this menu. During our visit, we noticed that they seemed to be understaffed--there was one woman handling all the operations from placing orders, collecting payment, and preparing food. Despite being the sole employee there, she was still attentive to us and made sure our food came out in a timely manner. I really enjoyed my food, especially the chicken kabob. It was extremely tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The beef kabob was just a bit overcooked but still good. What I really like is the harissa sauce here. I stopped by with my family last weekedn after the bubble run. We were hungry and opted for a healthy meal. I stubled across Hummus Way and chose that over CAVA. Flavor wise, Hummus Way is top. Serving size, they fall short. The manager was not consistent with the serving portions. I did get full but I wish that they would just serve properly. I don't mind paying for good food but it becomes a problem when my bowl hardly has any protein. We all ordered bowls. It was nice because you get to customize it to your liking. The only thing that I would say they need to improve on is portion size. Customer service is one of the best. The only thing that I did note is that there was only one person in the kitchen, he was also serving the dine in orders and any online orders. This is probably the last time we will dine here since it's not close to our office and we only had to come here to meet a friend. It felt pretty lifeless inside. When we arrived, there was one person eating there and only one person working, and there were six of us so it took a long time to put together our orders. There's a self order kiosk there as well. Maybe they should install a speaker and play some music. Unfortunately, I was not pleased with my chicken bowl. Everything tasted the same with the sauce slathered all over. I didn't enjoy the texture of the chicken and the rice was bland. Flavor was severely lacking. My friend got a piece of baklava for dessert and she was very disappointed. When we are in the mood for Mediterranean food, we usually order kebab combos from one of two places but we decided to DoorDash something different this time. After seeing some favorable mentions about Hummus Way in other reviews, we decided to give it a try. I wasn't sure what to order at first since there are no kebabs on the menu but instead you create your own bowl, wrap, loaded wedges, or open face pita. There are a ton of options and it was a little overwhelming since I didn't want a huge bowl with 20 things in it, but I didn't want a small bowl with only a few things in it either. I ended up ordering a bowl with white garlic sauce, traditional hummus, tzatziki, zesty feta, rice, tri tip beef shawarma , tabbouleh, and pickled cucumbers. My girlfriend ordered a wrap with traditional tahini, Zhoug falafels, traditional hummus, zesty feta, wheat, crumbled feta, beets, sumac onions, crispy garbanzo croutons, and kalamata olives. We also ordered a side of the crispy fried zucchini with garlic sauce. The restaurant is only about ten minutes away from home and our DoorDash order arrived nice and quick in under 30 minutes. The crispy fried zucchini were really good and the coating had really nice flavor. The pictures of this appetizer show zucchini spears but we were happy when zucchini slices arrived since spears can get very oily and the coating usually falls off easily. The garlic sauce also had a good flavor with little to no spiciness. Unfortunately, my bowl was somewhat disappointing. The pita bread and pickled cucumbers were good and I love basmati rice but this rice was just ok. The tri tip beef shawarma was dry. The traditional hummus was not creamy at all, and had a very firm texture like I've never had before but it tasted ok. I always look forward to trying the tabbouleh at a new place to see if it comes anywhere close to my gold standard tabbouleh at Zenas. This was the most dry tabbouleh I've ever had and it had very little flavor so I only had a few bites. My girlfriend said the wrap was ok but I didn't get any additional details. First, when we came in, we were asked to use a kiosk rather than having our order taken. the kiosk was tough to navigate (couldn't even find some of the beverages) and I would have preferred to communicate directly with the person making my order. they also changed some menu items, so their loaded potato wedges are now fries, and not as good quality as when they had the wedges. they also may have changed other recipes, as I've had the moroccan hot sauce many times before, but this time, both myself and my partner found it MUCH spicier than before. we aren't exactly shy about spice either so it was kind of surprising. the falafel didn't taste the way it used to, and overall the experience has decreased in quality. unfortunate because I used to be prepared to recommend this place. read more

Amazing food at Hummus way!!!! My husband and myself saw Hummus way while driving by and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did because the food was so good. We ordered surf,and turf which is Beef,chicken and shrimp kabob charbroiled to perfection. It came with rice, hummus and salad a, as well as Pita bread. The filet mignonette kabob was my favorite juicy and tender. Everything was absolutely delicious. We were so pleased with the food that we ordered a second beef filet mignon plate kabob charbroiled. It is a bit hidden in a strip of buildings off the 55 freeway on 4th St/Irvine Blvd. First off the man who served us was really friendly and served us really nice portions of food. If you get the bowl, you get up to 3 different spreads/hummus. I tried the feta, eggplant, and artichoke and all were fantastic. You also get up to 2 protien options! I liked being able to try a bunch of different things. They also have some tasty lemonade drinks with unique flavors. The portions were great. We ate this as a late lunch/early dinner and mine was enough to satisfy me as my only meal of the day. Don't sleep on this place! I love the one on one experience with the server and just ordering from the kiosk takes up more time to make my food. I had spring mix, tzatziki and the zesty feta, plus a number of additional veggies. The falafel is dropped fresh to fry when ordered, and it was very good. I'm sorry the picture isn't super aesthetic, as I started eating before I took the picture. The roasted chickpeas were so delicious - crunchy and somehow slightly chewy at the same time. Been here about a dozen times. They are consistently delicious every time. The paprika chicken is very good, and my wife likes the pesto chicken. The lemon tumeric chicken is also worth trying. One time I ordered takeout and they gave me the wrong order. I didn't realize till I got home, and it honestly wasn't that big of a deal as their ingredients are so good I didn't mind eating this random order. About 5 minutes into eating I get a call from a number I don't recognize. It was the manager (I'm assuming) calling me to apologize for giving the wrong order. This Mediterranean eatery is located in a tiny strip mall. There are a couple tables inside but I took my order to-go. They use the Subway/Chipotle assembly line setup where you build your own bowl or wrap, choosing your ingredients as you walk along the counter. The fellow working this day was helpful in explaining any ingredients I was unfamiliar with and recommended flavors that might work best together. Going down the line works something like this: pick your rice, greens, hummus, protein, toppings (ie - olives, tabbouleh, cucumbers, etc.), then finally a sauce like tahini or garlic. As expected their hummus was very good (I chose the "regular" type) and I really liked their dolmades. Everything was fresh and the beef in my bowl was very tender and flavorful.
